Lovely place all the ladies that served us were amazing Food is lovely big portions Great seating book in advance to get a seat I will definitely be back again They brought colouring pens and paper for the kids

I absolutely love going to The Dove! It’s got a little bit for everyone. Great outdoor seating for the summer and a big car park for those driving. I go drinking at the pub with my mates and for a meal with the family. Staff are the best too, extremely friendly and just top class.

My first experience at The Dove and I can honestly say the food was outstanding,the atmosphere fab and the service excellent. I will be telling all my friends and family The Dove is a must. x

We went for breakfast it was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent efficient and very friendly. Definitely worth paying a bit more for the quality of the food. The new manageress was especially helpful. Will definitely be back.

The bar staff are amazing and so polite. Always friendly and make everyone feel so welcome. Today I was served by summer kyron and macey. They are always so bubbly and great at communication. Would definitely recommend!!!

Went for Sunday lunch with family. 4 adults and 3 kids. We had the Sunday lunch menu and the specials. Food was amazing…. Quality and presentation were spot on!! The service was 5*, nothing was any trouble, very attentive and friendly staff! Some of our group were visiting from London and they were really impressed and complimented me on my choice of venue…. Thanks This was our 4th visit in 9 months and the service and food has been consistent every time 😀

Fantastic find!! My partner and I wanted to find somewhere dog friendly, with nice food. Food and cocktail choice sounded amazing and tasted even more delicious than we imagined. Great value for money, friendly staff, excellent toilet facilities. Definitely coming back!!

Lost its edge, Sunday lunch wasn’t to their usual standard, the food was just warm, and portions were on the small side. Shame as we’ve always enjoyed their lunch.

I'm rarely getting so surprised by how good a place is, on-spot service by the staff this evening, food was delightful, the bar bit looks pretty much like other places to my knowledge but the restaurant bit at the back is absolutely stunning, will come back.

Booked here based on reviews after struggling to find somewhere close to Christmas that offered something other than a festive menu the Sunday before Christmas. A large pub with dining room at the rear the food offered has the staple pub menu but done very well with interesting twists. I had the roast beef an was given the option of pink or well done. I had pink and it was done perfectly, the rest of the table had fish and chips, maccaroni cheese and an butternut squash curry all given rave reviews by an ofter tough crowd! Service was very good and very good value for money would highly recommend and I wouldn't hesitate to go baxk for the roast beef.

A really excellent lunch time meal, very friendly and helpful staff and all at a fair price. I had the chicken, leek and ham pie which I would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

Not had food on the last few occasions Ive visited this pub, but the service is always rubbish. The staff hired do not want to work and always have a face on them for doing their job. I have never received one smile of any of the bar staff. This unfortunately represents the owners and Manager’s lack of customer service as well. He walks around with a face on him too. Never seen him greet regular customers. Really need to hire people that want to work and change their attitude. You chose to work in a customer facing based profession, don’t make customers feel bad for entering your establishment when they’re paying your extortion drink prices.

I always love coming to the Dove. Food great but unfortunately the service was a bit slow today. The waitresses were not as attentive as usual and there was bit of fussing around us where they were going to seat late bookings. I’m just hoping it was a one off.

Food was really nice, nice atmosphere. Service was a bit slow & I wasn't shown the wine menu. When I got my bill I had been charged £9.50 for a large glass of wine!!! Unbelievable!! I made the manager aware & she just said sorry & it was her fault that she didn't pass me the wine menu yo see the prices!!!!!! Not happy at all!!

I go here several times a week, the food is excellent, the staff are amazing and very efficient, plus the atmosphere is really good.

Took an hour to serve our food & then it was a small portion with a burnt Yorkshire pudding...!! Really wasn't worth the wait or the money quite expensive Sunday lunch at £17 per head...!! Disappointing..!!

My brother dragged me there for a Hunters chicken, got there & wasn't on the menu. Our waiter was ever so good, offered to make 1 expecially for him! Such kindness & great service! The food was absolute heaven! Freshest sweet potato fries I've ever tasted in a restaurant. Even my little 1 was like "Mummy it's yummy". Place looks modern and amazing! Really enjoyed my dining experience there, had a great atmosphere. Would definitely come back! Wish was local to me, I'd be a regular!!! Thank you for going the extra mile x

Sea bass was excellent, swimming in pea soup with some wilted greens and baby new potatoes. Service was a bit slow, but it was busy with two big parties eating.

Great restaurant with plenty of options to cater for all dietary requirements. Food was freshly prepared and service was friendly. The restaurant is towards the back of the pub and has a nice feel, like a large conservatory. I'd happily dine here again.

Honestly was really happy with my experience, the food was great and the portions themselves where very good. The staff were super friendly and would often come check on us to see if we were okay. The atmosphere was beautiful and I was amazed on how beautiful the place is.

We went in for a sunday roast. It had been reccommended by family and they spoke highly about the food, so we thought to give it a try. We ordered: 2 x Sunday Vegan Roasts - the wellington was amazing! We werent fan of the soya meatballs and the homemade yorkshir pudding was ok...not the best but it was soo good to see the vegan yorkshire pudding there as many pubs do lnt offer it. Lots of potatoes and little veg with a lovely gravy sauce! 1 x Bang Bang Cauliflower- this was served as a starter and it was BEAUTIFUL! The presentation, the taste, portion size, everything was perfect. 1 x kid meal - Sausages (VE) beans and chips - the Sausages weren't that great at all, the taste, texture and everything about it just wasn't right. My child only had the chips and most of our gravy. Overall we thought it was ok but not the best. We would've liked more veg to be replaced with the meatballs and yorkshire pudding with the lovely wellington that was served. Also we reckon the vegan sausages need a but more flavour / better texture.

One of the best pubs in our UK Travels. Alex and Sophie are very kind. Food is very very well prepared and presented. You can taste the quality of ingredients and also portions are generous. Try the gnocchi and the Pizza Pitta Great also the tagliatelle as side. Prices are effordable. We will surely be back.

Popped in for afternoon brunch for a quick bite to eat , good prices and the food was lovely and can’t wait to try out the restaurant for an evening meal. Also to add we took 2 labradors in with us at the time with no issues. I would definitely recommend.

I always say to help out on small businesses and local restaurants. We have Been here a few times and was happy with the food and service until our last reservation on 5th of February. -The host was grumpy and didn’t even speak to us to say hello. - although only two tables, we had to beckon her to take our orders. - we ordered drinks before our meal, only to receive them half way through eating. - although one dish had a big portion of mussels which were half empty , you couldn’t even get to the sauce !! The sea bass, lamb shank and chicken, were bland and very greasy. So we didn’t enjoy them so all of our plates went back half full. - we weren’t even asked if the food was okay or why 5 plates are all going back half full? - we ordered more drinks and still had to wait an hour for them to come from the bar as they were very busy due to live band. - I even went to the host desk hoping the host would come back. But to my surprise two gentlemen came and thought I WAS the host and asked ME for a table!! ( that’s how long I was standing there) If the management had been more organised knowing it would be a busy night, then they should have hired more staff for the restaurant and bar!! - We even asked to speak to the manager, only to be told they were too busy to come. The only good outcome of our evening was Amelia who was rushing about trying to cover tables and seeing to everyone ( as it got busier in the restaurant) and the other girl (host) was disappearing into the kitchen. Going in and Coming out empty handed. Really disappointed as it is a lovely place with what the new owners have done!

Great place, chap has done wonders with this establishment, served by the man himself . Great food me and my twin had the steak meal rump not the biggest but very tender and thick, My nephew had fish and chips and was going to have an adults meal,on recommendation by the owner to cut the fish length ways was more than enough my nephew not being the big man!! My partner had a chicken burger meal breast with sides, we all enjoyed the great service, nephews meal was not charged as an adults meal 👍,more than enough and enjoyed 😉 hopefully will be back soon!!!

Went for lunch on the 22nd Feb and it was fab. I had plant based burget chips and vegan coleslaw and my daughter had vegan skewers which were both very tasty and would highly recommend. Waitress lovely and efficient. Thank you for a lovely meal in a very warm and cosy pub. The conservatory has twinkling lights and is light and pretty.

Went for lunch yesterday for the first time on Valentines Day. Choose The Dove based on other reviews and was not disappointed! Booked in advance and seated in the conservatory, which was warm and full of light. Menu was varied with a specials board too. Food was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. Perfect portion sizes. Service was excellent (a special mention to Leah who was lovely!) Great to find a local pub doing such a good job. Will be going back and recommending to friends.

They were great to accommodate 18 children for a birthday party. Great idea to pre-order. Gorgeous food even for the grownups. Really impressed with the service - great of them to use the pre-order names to give out the food. Thank you so much, we will definitely visit again.

We have been going to The Dove quite a lot more recently as the food is totally delicious. The Chef Pranil never ceases to amaze us, not only is the food so tasty but it is so well presented and always comes out in such good time. We have had the skewers, the different burgers and deserts. 2 of us are vegan and coeliac and great care is taken with the food. We have recommended The Dove to all our friends. It is great having great food so local to us!

2 cocktails for £12 is a decent offer and the drinks are tasty too. The hanging skewers are fairly portioned and tasty too. On occasion the restaurant does seem understaffed however leading to longer wait times which can be frustrating.

This is a great little pub with a fantastic selection of beers wines and spirits. It coped splendidly with out large late lunchtime crowd, sadly there for a Wake celebration drinking session.

Visited for Sunday lunch (first time trying it here) and was so pleasantly surprised. Portion sizes were hearty and the perfect amount to not walk away over bloated and able to actually consider dessert and a good choice on the menu too aside from Sunday lunch options. Very busy for a Saturday afternoon...bouncy castle out in the garden for kids, but definitely not child friendly inside! Also £5 a pint?! 😱

We were gonna drive past it because car park was full BUT decided to pop in. Nice and big, lots of seated room and all drinks were nice and chilled. Will definitely return 👍🏼
