A real hidden gem. Charming staff, food was really nice and very sensibly priced. Surrounded by incredible architecture that you would expect from a grand Methodist chapel and raises funds for very important projects. What’s not to like? It will be my go to in the city centre from now on

My friend & I meet usually every 2wks for coffee and catch up so look for somewhere different. I'd seen this when looking & it had good reviews so off we went. Easy to find, opp the fountain in Town Hall Sq, Chapel Café. It's lovely inside with the old organ pipes and very decorative. I ordered Cappuccino and cheese on toast, my friend ordered Americano and toasted BLT. Bear in mind it wasn't busy, we waited a while for the drinks which were brought separately 🤷🏼‍♀️ then even longer for the food. By this time our coffee's were nearly finished. Once again my toast came first then after a good while another coffee & tea we're brought to us, which was not our order then finally my friends sandwich appeared. Luckily the food was nice & hot so we didn't complain. Such a shame as our 1st visit should've been better. It was only £4.20 for mine so the prices are very good, but they need to get the orders right and a bit quicker on the service (I don't mean the Sunday one as it is a chapel) 😅

We popped in today after spotting it on our way to Leicester Museum. Situated on the busy Town Hall square it was the perfect oasis to grap a coffee & bite to eat. The staff were cheerful and welcoming and the chapel (the oldest Methodist chapel in Leicester) was charming. Food and drinks were well priced. The best americano & english breakfast tea with extra hot water offered as standard. Panini & salad & a toasted teacake all for under £10! Can't praise it enough but want to keep the place a well-kept secret for our next visit.

The cafe is located in the centre of the city with on street parking and disabled parking bays. Quite a simple and tasty choices on the menu, great fair trade coffee. Some staff always on training journeys so be patient and you will enjoy your visit. Located inside a church. Well worth a visit and the comfy seats will welcome you.

This café is run like a youth club, church drop-in, rehab-centre, and the people who work there seem in over their heads. On a Saturday it runs a Super-kitchen, but it feels like a Soup Kitchen! That's when it is on. Come on, show some customer service, even if people are paying a low price they deserve to be made welcome. Its not enough to just open up, you are providing a service to the public.
