Booked a table for casual dining. Setting was cosy and comfortable. Food was outstanding 👏 pork belly burger lived up to my expectations and the caramel tart.. who cares about calories when it tastes that good 😂 service, food, drinks all of it 💯 thanks to the team at Copt Oak we will definitely be back 😁

Having visited the Little John many times I was appalled to find that they charge £2.80 dash / half a small glass of Coke with a spirit. On New Year’s Eve I wondered why the drinks were extortionate and when I enquired the staff explained that they were being told by the owner to charge customers for a 14oz sized soft drink when it was ordered with a spirit and that there were no alternative options on the till. The staff agreed that this was a total rip off….it’s not even as though they were offering us the 14oz for us to drink separately which you’d think they would considering I’d paid for it. In a cost of living crisis customers need to be told as they order that they are being robbed. The food at the Little John makes this establishment a venue worth visiting but please don’t get ripped off like I was. Non drinkers or those driving also need to be aware that in 2024 they only stock Becks Blue and Erdinger (which has never come from the fridge on any of the occasions that I have ordered it) when it comes to alcohol free lager….I think most people will agree that Becks Blue is a very poor option when compared to the many options that are now on the market.

After reading some of the disappointing reviews I felt I had to add my own. We were undecided but were not disappointed. I had the sea bass and husband had the pork. Both meals were delicious. We did have to wait a while but it was obviously the meal was freshly cooked and vegetables delicious.

We've visited quite a lot this summer and have booked for Xmas day. One of the reasons we come is the children's meals are lovely. You have the option of potatoes and veg which you don't get in a lot of places sadly. My daughter had the mixed veg and I was expecting the type that's in a frozen bag but it wasn't. She had a good and really enjoyed it. It's served beautifully too and good value, it includes ice-cream and a drink.

Service was amazing and fun with Tara & Becca being very entertaining and helpful and the food was great, oh and Chris was great to 👍😁

Sadly this pub deserves to go out of business. Undrinkable beer , uneatable food and a poisonous, two faced landlord. We have tried on several occasions to get a decent pint or basic food and failed. On the most recent visit we were told only Pedigree was on which very few people wanted and turned out to be foul. Despite apologies at the time there were no discounts on beer that was already expensive.

Myself and wife ate here on Sunday 11 August 2024. We have left positive reviews before but today was a disaster. The carvery was great as always. Beautiful quality meat. Nice chef doing the carving. The problem was a paralytically drunk yob and his black alsatian dog. I pitied the blokes missus as she was stone cold sober, heavily pregnant, and was looking at the floor whilst he let his dog off the lead in a dining area and slurred loudly extolling the virtues of allowing his dog to do as he pleased. 1. The pub shouldn't let dogs in an area where people are eating. 2. He was so drunk and had a fresh pint of lager in front of him. The bar staff should have stopped him buying any more beer. We ate our delicious carvery as fast as we could to get away from the guy. The table next to us had to put up with the guy's dog begging for food at their table. This was 6pm till about 6.30pm today Sunday 11 August 2024. If the Blue Peter management want to see the offending person on their cctv he was wearing a blue vest with a black alsatian puppy (about 4 months old and large) with his wife/ girlfriend sitting at the table in the corner next to the fire exit in the dining area (left of the carvery serving area). What were the staff thinking allowing a dog in an area where people are eating? Shocking. It spoilt what should have been an enjoyable Sunday lunch.

I ordered a bacon and egg roll today in the restaurant. I asked for the rind to be removed from the bacon, to be told “ It comes as it comes” How rude!! I thought this was a reasonable request so I’m not impressed with the customer service. I have been a returning customer for years. I am not impressed and this has put me off returning

Great breakfast ,plenty of choice and unlimited tea and coffee.Sally was very helpful and we really enjoyed our breakfasts

Came for our Saturday brunch yesterday morning. I had the large breakfast and my 14 year old daughter Freedom breakfast. Both very satisfying. My daughter although fussy eater cleared plate. Compliments on the sausages. Definitely a big improvement from last time

Good menu, excellent food, very well stocked bar, great customer service nothing was too much trouble, breakfast was also really good with a varied menu.

If you look on their FB page they announced very suddenly that they were closing in November 2023 so no point in going there! This needs to be updated on here!

Popped in for some Tea and it was fantastic as always, lovely food and excellent staff, the carvery is always fresh and hot, lots of different choice. Keep up the good work :)

Lovely place, friendly staff and wonderful food.

I am a regular customer at the tollemache inn, the staff are always accommodating and go the extra mile to meet my needs. Only advice I would give is if they could regularly supply beermats.
