Cafe Morrisons in Amber Valley

Came in with my son and next-door neighbour I had the steak pie and she had chips and fried bread we have both been really sick straight after leaving the restaurant will not be coming again

Ate there today. The chips were nearly cold and looked as though they had been sat for a while. Asked for beefburger but could not have this as the grill had broken down. The ladies toilets were also out of order. The disabled toilet had no toilet paper in it.

Really poor compared to how it used to be Full English breakfast no longer good value. Very dry due to only a tablespoon of beans and half a tomato - used to have tinned toms as an option Baked potato inedible Nasty flavour and soggy Slow service though we were there just after opening and not many customers

Today I had breakfast at Morrisons Cafe , not only was the food good, but I would like to praise the service and attention to duty a young man called George , who served me today so polite, took time to take your order and was the most pleasant young man , made you feel welcome and nothing was to much trouble, so Morrisons Heorge is the type of young man that you should be very proud of and deserves pushing in all the right places as he is a true asset to your Company .

Mo's cafe has slipped down the slippery slope. You have to now give a table number at the point of ordering food. By the time you allocate a table, and go to the machine to order, the table is taken by another customer looking to order. The 1 or 2 staff make it very clear they are understaffed, which they are, and this is why the food takes longer, tables are left dirty and I for one, don't think i'll be in a hurry to come back. Come on Mo's get more staff, go back to the normal way of ordering and being given a table card to display where you choose to sit! clean the tables and maybe i'll consider coming back

A group of 5 all ordering separately, and being told to use the touch screen as they were understaffed (as seems to be quite common). Ordering this way takes 10 times longer than just paying for a coffee and asking for a teacake at the till. Has anyone else noticed that if you've just gelled your hands the touch screens don't work properly, and probably stop them working for the next couple of customers as well? Being asked for a table number is barmy as you normally go to the counter first. Everything in the ordering process is back to front - you now have to find a table (and how do you reserve it while you do the rest?), have look along the counter to see what cakes and treats are available, then go back to the screen to join a queue to order. No wonder the cafe is nearly empty! The current system is useless if you only want a cup of tea and a cake. When the food arrived it was fine, and didn't take too long, but the screens should be ditched. We'll go somewhere else next time.

The cafe in Belper used to be spot on. Called for first time since Covid for breakfast. No longer any substitution options and all has to be ordered by machine. What finally arrived was visually appalling. Runny undercooked egg, grossly overcooked beans and bacon. Only the sausages were of the same standard as previous. The inability to substitute makes it expensive too if you don’t want mushrooms, tomatoes or black pudding - not good folks sorry not good

Having chosen to have breakfast here as always been ok and serve till 12.We waited in the queue well before 12 and only about 3 people in front and one lady who took forever could not understand about the Eat in scheme etc even though she was staff OMG she took forever !! Then the girl who was serving her was having a flap with till and walked off !! Then to have people in front taking forever just to order food by this time time and only a few people in front it was 12.10pm now nearly 30 minutes in the queue just shocking and very angry having to wait such along time and then told we stopped serving breakfast at 12.Your having a laugh at this time i was not happy at all.Eventually ordered the all day Brunch not bad bacon bit naff and beans not put in a pot like they normally do.The pie n chips n peas was covered in gravy and not in a pot again like it should of been and given the choice whether to put on..Not a good visit overall.

This is really not bad at all for a quick meal in a clean cafe with friendly staff. it's ideal for a late, all-day breakfast when all you want is something cheap and cheerful; tasty fast food that's cooked with fresh ingredients and a good cup of tea or coffee. The staff are helpful and you even get points with your Morrisons card!

Popped in for a meal early before we did our shopping. When I asked if we could choose off the lunch menu I was told yes so we opted for two toasties and chips. These arrived after about 10 minutes and were very tasty. Extremely good value and nice food. Tables were wiped over ready for new customers to eat and staff very efficient. Shame about some groups of lads swearing and laughing on the top of their voices when there were children and other diners around, they proceeded to grab as many sauce sachets most of which were left on their tray for someone else to clear, lazy gits when there are tray trollies dotted around.

Well, let me tell you... the staff were lovely, the cafe was clean, warm and comfortable. There was a good choice of food on the menu. The staff bent over backwards to make sure that my friend was happy with her choice, when her first choice wasn't available. The food, when it came was tasty, well cooked and plentiful. To finish with it came at an incredibly reasonable price - what's not to like?

Went here for a quick bite to eat because we were in the area. Found it was a bit dirty on the floor. Food was nice - we just had a sandwich each. Would go back again.

I didn't eat at the cafe but the store itself was quite good. Well stocked with choices of brands. Friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere. Easy to park.

The breakfast is very good value for money, in fact there is too much on your plate. Staff friendly and helpful, the only criticism is that the cleaners don’t clean the shelf’s and ornaments very dusty and this always plays on my mind!

We called in yesterday teatime. The food was freshly cooked, good value for money, served with a smile. What's not to like?

As its a store cafe, my expectations were that the food would be quickly made and basic. But when it came, JP and side salad, the presentation was excellent (mixed salad) and the JP and filling were great

My fish and chips was up to the usual standard and very good. A little disappointed that at 1.30 they had no large fish or jacket potatoes. Another 5 hours to go. Will go again.

Breakfast Morrison's style is what shopping is all about, better still if you don't have to do the shopping bit, good café, reasonably quick service and a mountain of a breakfast with plenty of choices, well worth a food stop and cheap.

The staff seem stressed , always say it is a 30 minute wait and it is longer, dirty crockery, we won't ever try to eat there again, they need to up their game

A typical Morrisons supermarket wih an added cafe. Neat clean small fast and very efficient. A very good range of eats and brought to your table. A good quality offering and at sensible prices. Nice chearful staff

Needed a good breakfast while waiting for family to do the shopping as I was late up, great little place, good large portions, quick and pleasant service, well worth a good start to the day food.

He llamado aquí en más de una ocasión y la cajera siempre tiene una lista pequeña en el lado de la hasta con cosas que tuvieran. Curiosamente, parece que siempre faltarán patatas chaqueta, y tienen una tienda llena de patatas, pero no cocinar. ! He estado aquí antes y tenía que recoger un paquete de puré de microondas para ellos para cocinar y agregar a mi comida. No es elegante y la comida es adecuada, aunque una de las chicas de till (cuyo nombre me escapa por desgracia) es muy divertido y es siempre muy amable y pidió disculpas. Es una pena que el lugar no es mejor dirigido.

Standards are dropping unfortunately, 10 minutes at the till with only two people in the queue to be told half the children's menu was not available which then cost us more money as all the so called offers were not now available... we will not be back

whether you just want toast or big breakfast they are all excellent value for the money in actual fact anytime of day you can get value meals and drinks in a spacious well lit cafe with chairs you can move not like in a lot of cafe's and even restaurant's were you are wedged in between table and chair,some staff who take your orders look as though they do not really want to be there but a majority are pleasant and courteouswill use again just to see if the long faces have brightend themselves up

Called to do the weekly shop ,some time to waste . So we dropped in for coffee and cake. It will always be a supermarket cafe . Coffee ok cake ok

Went for a full English breakfast, 45 minute wait for the food. Plates underneath were never even cleaned. Oil all over them and dried baked beans, was disgusting. Not going to go again, complained to staff about how poor hygiene is.

Used to go here regularly but it seemed to go downhill, really slow, tables not cleared and strange tasting breakfast items (the oil it was cooked in I imagine)

Love everything from toasted teacake to fish and chips. Great help with calorie values. Love that I can just have egg and beans on toast and always value for money.

We'd not visited since a poor experience a couple of years ago but decided to give it another whirl. From stepping up to it the appearance was much improved and looked far more clean and welcoming. I'd not remembered the inquisition when ordering but thought it was quite amusing to be given option after option with our meals especially as my husband is not known for making snap decisions!The Café was busy so we had to wait a while for our meals but it was well worth it when they arrived, hot, nicely presented and delicious. It was excellent value at under £10 for the two of us including hot drinks.We will certainly be eating there again when next visiting Belper.

Another favorite place to visit when I travel from the States, child friendly, great staff, hearty feeling reasonably priced meals.

We called in after work at about 4.30pm only to find they hadnt got most of the menu. There was no soup, no jacket potatoes, no omelette, only one pack of sandwiches. I ended up having quiche that was unpleasant, limp salad and the most disgusting coleslaw ever. I dont think there is any excuse really - the shop is full of food!

Recently refurbished though not to everyone's taste this cafe is clean and offers value for money,staff are friendly and the service is quick.

cold unappetising food. Had breakfast which consisted of toast that had alreay been buttered? Not had anyone butter my toast since 1972?! cheap nasty thin sliced bread and tastless scrambled eggs. Will not return.

Built within the Morrisons supermarket the cafe offers some fair value basic meals and good coffee and cakes etc ,a pleasant environment

My wife likes the breakfast they serve which is okay. Good variety of cakes and sandwiches also hot food menu.gets really busy round lunch time.seating area has a lot of fixed seating which can be a problem.

We bring students here because its cheap and seating is well spaced out and plentiful. Service is ok, food is ok, nothing to shout about but no complaints either!

Poor display......most unappetising........more like a Woolworths café from the 1960s.You need a degree to serve yourself with a cup of coffee.Long wait for the food....and then wish you hadn't bothered.......staff never batted an eyelid when we sent the food back and seemed to expect it.Morrisons slogan should be: "Going down the Pan"

It's OK standard fair, parking can do difficult due to the obvious location within the villages busiest supermarket. Staff are helpful, the food is OK. Would I go again, no just because I like to support small local business.

Cakes are reduced after 4:30 pm so I got a hot drink and carrot cake for less than £2. Sandwiches were at normal value for money prices.

This is probably the worst Morrisons cafe I've been in. Three visits and three experiences of awfull service. Food order wrong, no food due to a counter staff mistake and finally a cold breakfast following a long wait. There will not be a fourth visit.

The cafe is a standard microwaved fair type place, good for a snack after shopping. This was until my wife ordered chicken and veg, the food arrived with no gravy, asked were it was and was told it would be an extra 25p.Not cool Morrisons, never go again.

Serving the normal Morrisons menu range, unfortunately when I visited there seemed a lack of staff and service was very poor.
