I regularly come to Oakland Village whenever I can. I've been here before for work functions and just for lunch and always found the food and atmosphere to be really great! The staff and manager have always been really friendly and accommodating, and whether it's a buffet or burger I've never been disappointed. Definitely worth a visit :)

This venue is perfect for many occasions, but I met with Karli to discuss a booking for my mums funeral gathering. Karli and the other staff I met were all lovely. They could not have been more polite, helpful and genuinely accommodating. The room was partitioned to accommodate our smaller gathering but had the bar. It was completely private. They set it up perfectly and just as I had asked. We chose the hot food option as many of our family had travelled in on the day and it was superb homemade food. I had 4 vegetarians, 2 gluten free and 1 lactose intolerant and all their needs were met .Excellent value and good portions too. With tea and mini homemade cakes to follow it allowed us all to enjoy chatting and reminiscing about our mum with family & friends. Everyone who attended complemented the food, so thank you Lisa, head chef. I cannot rate this venue more highly or its staff, thank you all for making a difficult occasion go smoothly. Having recently visited the tearooms on the same site as Mansfield Manor, I received a £100 parking fine (reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days) which I have felt obliged to pay having been away on holiday in the meantime. The signage is a joke, having visited Mansfield Manor in the past, I will not be returning - the £60 I have been conned out of will be my last contribution! Also, I can't understand the charges midweek - the car park was only half full at most.

Popped in before eating at an establishment near by and was made to feel like we was a nuisance and unwanted

Cheap and cheerful. Service and food average but great for meeting up with mates. Prefer it here than top spoons.

We were actually here for a Wake. I have been here several times and found it to be a very friendly little pub. The staff had put together a reasonably versatile buffet for the Wake, too much white bread, but that's personal choice. The lemon drizzle cake was outstanding. I was pleased that the barmaid suggested that the surplus food should be taken to the bar to be shared rather than wasted.
