What can you say apart from a first rate service from the staff who attended to our every need and very swift to accommodate us a host who greeted us with open arms and warmth and our Christmas dinner that was absolutely Devine cooked to perfection and extremely enjoyable I’m glad we chose the odd house for our Christmas dinner thank you Craig and your wonderful team

I and my husband went for dinner .Restaurant section was empty . When I order my drink sprite waitress asked me pint or half and I realised that is not in the bottle so I wanted to change bottle of diet coke. After that strangely she was questioning that why I wanted bottle not the other option . Anyway then we ordered 2 starters , 2 mains and 1 puding. As a starter we both ordered the soup and it was ok. And the main course I had the fish which is disappointing. It was too tough , just boiled fish not even seasoned . It comes with raw onion ,some black olives, 1 bigh dried tomato and 1 egg. And again chef didn’t even put a pinch of salt in it. I finished the fish because I was so hungry and I didn’t want to waste it. Never come back again .

My mums birthday meal was in March we don't come from Melton, this was recommended and it's a poor tail when your customers can make you feel more welcome than the staff do, a large group near the bar was loud but entertaining, they gave the pub a good atmosphere, if it wasn't for them we'd have ate and drank our drinks and left but we stayed for a couple more as they was so friendly and welcoming, the food was great yay yous expect from a standard pub, we had to wait longer on the puddings than the main courses and when they came they just got slammed onto the table like it was too much of an inconvenience to serve us (which surely is there job role) the cleanliness wise the decor and carpet is mismatched, half the women's cubicles in the toilets don't work and neither does one out of two of the hand dryers, tables are not cleaned after customers leave even though the pub wasn't busy, so other customers was sat sitting on dirty tables even some had still had the left over dirty plates after they had ate their meal!!!!!!!

The lady on front was so rude to the staff she was working with , swore at one !! Shouting to someone in the kicken area behind the wall . Very rude and not polite to myself . Large order some missing . Potion was ridiculously small . Was about ready to leave and a staff member I think come in and she was swearing shouting and abuse to her the staff member said something and walked off !! I feel for the staff member it was totally uncalled for and completely unprofessional not sure if she is the owner or manager but she shouldn’t be working there she is awful and rude I front of paying customers !! I won’t return It’s a shame as food wasn’t bad but missing ! Sack the large lady out the front and your business will do better

better late than never, whilst driving down to p/borough for my yearly visit for truckfest, i decided to take a break for lunch at flos, but i had booked in advance via facebook messenger due to current climate with COVID 19,& with truckfest being 4months later than normal. anyway i followed the cafes social distancing rules and waited and then shown to my table which was reserved and near the door,& within minutes, i was served & i decided to order sausage egg chips & beans & coffee and b'n'b, & once again flos food hit the spot and all for the cost of £6, beat that "MOTO" & welcome break. well done to both members of staff at flos under current circumstances. will visit again without doubt . keep up the good work.

We have used this restaurant for a number of years now, mainly for visits with my father in law as he is a keen gardener. Have to say that I’m not sure that standards are as good as in the past. We think the menu really needs a refresh, as it hasn’t changed since we first moved to the area 7 years ago. As an example, my wife had what purported to be Italian chicken today. Little more than chicken with tinned tomatoes and cheese slapped on top! Need to make more of an effort I think.

As a pensioner of 72 I was very disappointed in the customer service today in Sixfields Please can you train your staff on customer service. A young man with glasses nearly barged into me when I had a full trolley without apology or a smile very rude behavior Shocked by such bad customer service.

Used to love popping into the cafe whenever we visited Salcey, but it has gone downhill. The coffee is awful, the hot chocolate is bland like a cup of hot milk. But it’s the staff which let it down. They used to be so friendly, now customers seem an inconvenience. They seem bored and borderline rude and unprofessional - the manager not only seems aware but she seems to actively encourage it. Hard to justify their extortionate parking when this is the quality of their food / drink offering.

I love The Star. The cask ales are an ever- changing selection and are well-kept by someone who obviously knows how to run a cellar. Tom the barman knows my preference for ale now and if there are brews on that I'm unfamiliar with will recommend the one he thinks will best fit my tastes. He's rarely been wrong. You won't get football screens or loud music, except in a Monday night which is home to an acoustic trad/ folk music session. This used to be in the back room but has acquired so many attendees over the last year that it's now in one end of the main bar. The music is a great mix of both songs and tunes, with a real buzz most Mondays and is well worth a visit just to listen, or to join in if you play or sing. Otherwise it's just a great traditional pub serving excellent beer and somewhere to have good conversations with family or friends.

I remember the hotel 20 + years ago. For 4 years I organised a Christmas celebration for our friends & neighbours as we all had young families & it was local giving us all a perfect opportunity have a pre - Christmas celebration & be able to walk home too! Oh how it has changed , not for the better. Last year I attended the Lots4Tots awards & everything was fine 🙂 A year later not only had the department run out of Prosecco there was no Gavi available either the house wine was rough too so I was definitely aboiding that. A drymartini & tonis was £12 tge next round my friend bought was the same , a diet coke £10.50 odd to say the least! The organiser Beth puts so much effort into this annual award for local child based businesses & you totally let her down. The poor girl serving in the ante room bar outside the 2 function rooms was getting so much grief bless her she was close to tears. The blue pre dinner cocktail looked unappetising & tasted vile. Prosecco was obviously the better alternative hence why u sold old - not a good move. The meal was OK & hot tho the garlic mushrooms tasted delicious I can't understand shy someone decided to serve them on a soggy hash brown- a new one on me!! The function supervisor was efficient but chewed gum all night - not a good look. As a former hospitality manager the impression I got is that owners are running the place into the ground. I hope someone has the decency to apologise to Beth the organiser & in the future if you want to attract local businesses [if you are still operating] you really need to pull your socks up. I'm not in the habit of complaining but this time I felt I had to. Please get your act together as its a lovely local venue

Having recently visited the tearooms on the same site as Mansfield Manor, I received a £100 parking fine (reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days) which I have felt obliged to pay having been away on holiday in the meantime. The signage is a joke, having visited Mansfield Manor in the past, I will not be returning - the £60 I have been conned out of will be my last contribution! Also, I can't understand the charges midweek - the car park was only half full at most.

Cheap and cheerful. Service and food average but great for meeting up with mates. Prefer it here than top spoons.
