We called in for a beer and enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast at the Pinnacle on father's day. Good beers on tap and really good tasty Sunday roast. I opted for the lamb roast and everything was freshly cooked to high standard. The homemade mint sauce was awesome and perfect to go with the lamb roast. I would have liked to try a dessert but felt full have a starter and Sunday roast. Friendly guys that run the place, if we get back to cowling I would definitely eat and drink here again. Thanks

We came for Sunday lunch today and are very glad we did. This is a proper British pub serving genuine home cooked food at very reasonable prices. We both had the roast beef which was served with plenty of mixed vegetables and fantastically crispy roast potatoes. Everything piping hot which is a good trick if you can do it as my carrots or something or other is always lukewarm when I cook a roast at home. The home made apple pie and chocolate cheesecake were delicious. With 2 pints of lager all for £40 I think you'd struggle to get better value at a national branded volume microwaved chain place. If your travelling to the area and want a warm welcome and a proper meal I highly recommend it.

What a great find. Although, easily overlooked. This is a wonderful classic tearoom cum coffee shop but modern and stylish. Its menu is restricted to savoury teas, cream teas and cakes. However, everything is homemade on site and bakes are prepared to perfection. We plumped for the savoury tea, the cheese and herb scone accompanied by a lovely cheddar cheese and tomato chutney. We followed this up with a classic cream tea of fruit scone, preserve, and clotted cream. This was washed down with earl grey tea. Suffice to say that everything was wonderfully prepared, perfectly presented, and tasted delicious. What about the service? I hear you ask. Olivia and her colleagues were fantastic hosts and looked after us on our several visits. A gem in heart of Dunster.

Gingerbreads is the best cafe around. Our business is based round the corner from Gingerbreads and we often visit for lunch/brunch and afternoon snacks! Food is scrumptious. I would personally recommend their chicken caesar salad. The cakes and cookies they have are delcious! High end service the staff always go the extra mile and are super friendly. I have also had their grazing boxes for a girls day out - quality produce and reasonable prices i would never use anywhere else if i needed an event catered for. Thank you Gingerbreads!
