Good quality food , with a decent choice, allowing an enjoyable pre-theatre meal.

Brilliant experience- one of the Sunday Roasts I have had !

We were originally seated upstairs, but there was a very noisy party taking place. We asked if we could be moved downstairs, I have to say that the staff were most helpful and found our party a downstairs table. We could not fault the staff's effort to make sure that everything was OK. Top marks to all.

The staff were amazing, friendly, polite, helpful nothing was too much trouble, food and drinks were great and not over priced would definitely visit again, lauren our waitress was fabulous

We experienced exceptional service, great food and an attractive environment at Loxley’s. They accommodated a group larger than we had booked for in an already full restaurant without fuss or complaint. We all very much enjoyed our meals and they maintained high standards of quality despite the extra pressure. Would wholeheartedly recommend.

Lovely meal - fabulous service in a beautiful building

This was our first time visiting and we were so glad we did.From the moment we stepped through the doors, the staff were exceptional. We had the pre theatre menu, and it was absolutely superb, excellent value for money, we most certainly will return on our next visit.

All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the food though had expected there to be a set menu, but was only a festive set menu for 6 plus people. We were placed in a side room with a view of the waiters station which was quite disappointing. However the food and wine was delicious and our waitress was lovely. We would definitely visit again but would prefer to be in the main area of the restaurant the next time.

Wonderful staff, amazing food, fantastic atmosphere, what more could you want? I had the spicy prawn linguine, which wasn’t particularly spicy, but tasted beautiful and the prawns were cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend

Lovely setting but we found the main dishes all very similar and quite heavy. The starters were lovely and very tasty. My Husband did mention this at the end uo the waitress. We skipped desert as there wasn't really anything on the menu that was light and refreshing. Service was very friendly and good.

Another excellent dinner at Loxleys. We have visited a number of times and Loxleys is always our number one choice in Stratford. The wine list is well chosen and the food delicious; we had the scallops and heirloom tomatoes, followed by chicken and Thai curry with prawns, and some excellent cheese. Every dish was very tasty and beautifully presented. Service is always first class and our waitress Annie was both friendly and efficient. We will of course go back.

Yet another sublime Sunday lunch. The beaf tenderloin was the best we have ever had. It just melted off the fork. We were, as ever treated like old friends Thank you so much

Came for Sunday lunch. Last time we came we were not impressed with the a le carte Saturday night menu. However after being persuaded to go for lunch. I can honestly say the food was AMAZING we paid for extra meat which was heaps. And well worth the extra. We had my grandson with us who is only 18 month. They brought his lunch out very quickly and assisted with bringing a bowl of fruit for him after his lunch. Overall I can’t wait to go again. Probsthe nicest filling Sunday lunch I have had out for a long time.

Food was fabulous, so much flavour. 4 of us dining and we had the belly pork, lamb, steak and prawn linguine, all were spot on. Only minor gripe was been charged £6.60 for a pint of coke, more than a pint of beer. I really feel that in the age of zero tolerance for drinking and driving that all soft drinks prices should be caped and should definitely be cheaper than an alcoholic drink.

We were a group of 6. Most of us loved the food but the vegan (plant based) options were extremely poor and over priced. Sounded good on the menu (hence the reason we choose the restaurant) but in practice they lacked flavour, protein and imagination.

As always our experience of Loxley’s was outstanding, the food is always not notch, the service is quality, the staff are always polite and helpful, the girl who is front of house has an exceptional knowledge of her clients, she makes us feel very welcome, we travel 40 mins to get to Stratford, it’s worth it though.

Lovely restaurant, tastefully decorated, with a relaxing subtle atmosphere. The food was high quality and delicious, I can’t rate the level of detail and flavour enough, our tastebuds were having a party with the starters we picked. The service was absolutely spot on, helpful, friendly and attentive. The overall cost was pricey but 100% worth that little be more.

We had a really nice meal for our anniversary. We were sat upstairs and very well looked after by Annie. We loved our steak, starters and dessert. A real treat. We hope to be back sometime.

I MET 3 FRIENDS AT LOXLEYS FOR A BIRTHDAY CATCH UP. THE TABLE WAS QUIETYLY TUCKED AWAY BUT WE WERE NOT FORGOTTON, THE STAFF WERE FRIENDLY AND ATTENTIVE BUT NOT OVER SO. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLANT AND THEY WENT THE EXTRA TO PUT A BIRTHDAY CARD ON THE TABLE AND THE CHEF THOUGHTFULLY PIPED ' HAPPY BIRTHDAY ' IN CHOCOLATE ON MY DESERT PLATE. JUST LITTLE TOUCHES THAT MADE A BIG DIFFERENCE. I WILL CERTAINLY BE VISITING LOXLEYS AGAIN NEXT YEAR WHEN I TRAVEL THE 160MILES TO MEET UP WITH FRIENDS.

Absolutely outstanding service, friendly members of staff and amazing food. Little mishap with my dish, I tipped the pepper mill all over my Sunday lunch! 😣 Member of staff saw what had happened and immediately said they would replace it, I said it was my fault so don’t worry, manager came over and insisted he would replace it and the side dishes! We have eaten at Loxleys a few times now and never been disappointed it’s amazing and we will definitely be back.. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️’s

Cosy, relaxed atmosphere for a nice leisurely lunch with my sisters on our day out, visiting from London. Staff were so kind, attentive but not overbearing, perfect! Great menu, something for everyone with good vegetarian choices and food was spot on. Sadly, no room for pudding this time but would eat here again if we return to Stratford.

Absolutely fabulous from when you walk through the door to when you leave after having enjoyed great food, in a warm setting where the background noise is just right to ensure you can still enjoy a lively conversation with friends. We had a warm welcome, were seated promptly with a menu so delicious we committed to go back for more! Our waitress was super friendly and helpful and continued throughout the night to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was great as always with portion size just right and at the end of the evening the bill was extremely good value for money.

We had meals from the set menu and were delighted with the quality of the food, which delivered an interesting and delightful variety of flavours throughout.

What a wonderful find Loxleys was. We visited Stratford upon Avon for a two day break and opted to eat at Loxleys on the Sunday night. On arrival we were shown up our table in front of a roaring wood burner. The service was brilliant and the food exceptional. The place was buzzing and with the cold and rain outside it was just so nice to be inside.by the fire.

Ask for downstairs in the main restaurant as the upstairs lacks any atmosphere, went at 4pm for Sunday lunch and they ran out of beef and lamb so left with chicken on the bone and pork choice so maybe go earlier, sorry to say a disappointing expensive afternoon, but must say the staff were superb.

Initially we were sat at a table near a noisy group at the rear of the restaurant. This was acknowledged by the owners and we were offered a change of table. Once re-seated things became very much better. The service was good , the food was very good and a very good Loxleys house labeled merlot was an excellent and very good value choice of wine. A thoroughly enjoyable evening was had at Loxleys.

Loxleys is always first class from food to service. I have been spending my birthday suppers here for years and will continue to do so. Not being resident in Stratford, we only visit intermittently the rest of the year, but I can certainly recommend Loxleys to anyone.

Lovely warm welcome on arrival. Ambience was great and staff attentive. Russell was friendly and suggestive with the menu choices. Gave a great customer service. Food was very well presented and full of delicious flavours. Enjoyed the sharing sunday menu of lamb and all the trimmings. Enjoyed every mouthful and highly recommend Loxleys for great food and delivering an excellent customer service in a lovely set restaurant. Can’t wait to return!!!!

Always a warm welcome at Loxley's. The fish and chips were excellent but the posset was a little stodgy and rather too sweet. They have done a very good lemon posset in the past which they would do well to continue. The service was speedy and mindful that we had a matinee performance at the RSC starting at 1.15. (We arrived at 12noon and had time for a main and pudding). Overall always a treat to eat there.

We have been into loxleys for a drink a few times (we have always had a warm welcome) but have not eaten there for a while why I ask myself as if was all lovely ... food excellent we were served by nina who was lovely and had again a warm welcome. Nice food, but unfortunately seated in some hideous conservatory/greenhouse area that appears to be some sort of fill in area, absolutely awful like eating in the shed at home

It was an incredible dinner and a very nice Primitivo. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a date. Our server, Nina, was fabulously attentive and very very kind and quite frankly should receive the whole tip.

Absolutely fabulous. Visiting Stratford for the weekend and chose this restaurant from trip advisor. All four of us had an outstanding meal . My steak medallions were absolutely gorgeous. Great ambience and great staff too . Definitely recommend 💯 per cent .

A very wet evening so not expecting Loxleys to have many diners but I was pleasantly surprised to see the tables taken. Service very efficient and friendly, food very tasty and hot, atmosphere just right. Will definately return, a little GEM! Well done.

Went with my daughter and baby Grandson. We both had the roast. It was excellent, the meat was so tender and the portions were large. Staff were so friendly and helpful, finding room for our large pushchair. Can't wait to return, would highly recommend.

We had a good position upstairs and the ambience was excellent. Staff were attentive and Alice, who served our table, was excellent. The food was decent but not of the quality one would expect for the price. Overall a good experience, but not great.

Romantic dinner for 2, great service, amazing food, the Duck with pink peppercorn sauce 10/10, nice hum to the place and you can hear yourselves clearly. If we lived nearer we would be there every week, highly recommended

First class food and service, cannot recommend it highly enough.

Not a great experience tonight. Chicken wings were served so hot they had to have come out of the microwave while scallops were served below room temp and very small portion size for the price. That said, the mussels were nice. The pork belly entree was good but the cod special was very strange flavor. Very disappointed as we have had a few good meals there lately and we’re hoping this would be our new go to. Service was fine up until the end and left sat there waiting for the bill and we were ready to go!

We met some friends for dinner. Food was great and the old building is quite neat.

It was a very good experience, good ambience and our waitress Alice was very helpful especially with explanations and information regarding food intolerances. The portions were generous, the substitutions accommodated, enjoyed the cocktail. The location is central and given people were turned away not having booked it is popular. We would go gain.

Sunday roast was delicious. We loved everything about this place. Waitress kindly helped us understand the menu items so we knew what we were ordering. On top off all that, restaurant wrote on a card wishing us a happy anniversary that was on the table waiting for us. Top notch!
