Trudie is so lovely and welcoming and the garden is an oasis of calm. Delicious cakes and treats as well as a lovely craft selection to browse. I would highly recommend a visit when the new season starts next spring

First we must say that we didn't actually eat at this Tea Garden, but I still must give it a five. We were visiting in the Cotswold's and looking for a place to have a lovely tea and found this place. When we arrived, we found that it was closed and the lady told us that because of the Queen's festivities, she thought that probably no one would come on that Monday, so she was kind of cleaning out and redoing the tearoom. Of course we were disappointed, because it looked like a very lovely place to have a tea, but the owner, who was kind and very friendly, went over and beyond. She left us use her restroom and offered several times to pull out frozen scones and heat them up for us and make us tea. We didn't let her go to the bother of doing that, but we appreciated her very kind offer. We are from the USA and I think she felt badly that she was closed when we had come so far.

We came across trudies tea rooms after visiting the Cotswold distillery. The ladies there were so welcoming and friendly. We had a great chit chat, fussed the dogs and had a lovely cup of tea! I also bought a beautiful handmade bracelet from the shop which was made from recycled materials. We will definitely be stopping for another visit when we come to the Cotswolds again.

Recently reopened, Trudie’s Tea Garden and Craft Shop is a lovely place to visit. Trudie is so welcoming and accommodating, her cakes are freshly home baked and really delicious, and the quality of crafts in the little garden cabin are of extremely high quality. I bought a couple of lovely items as gifts. Great for purchasing something individual, or just a cuppa and cake, there are tables and chairs set up in the garden. She’s not open every day though so it pays to check opening times. At the moment she’s open Saturdays and Mondays, 11-3pm, as far as I’m aware. I’ll definitely be going again. And you will need to look out for the chalk board signs as it’s easily missed. Enjoy!

After a weekend break at Cotswolds, my daughter spotted Trudie's Tea Garden. We were welcomed by a well behaved dog and we were made so welcome by Trudie. Her home and garden are stunning with gazebos and summer house complete with wood burner. Trudie is a perfect host. My grandsons had a fantastic time with the dog playing in her garden. Her homemade delicious scones, jams and cakes are to die for. I had the rhubbard and ginger jam is so delicious. I highly recommend to my friends and family.

Driving around the area, we stumbled on this. What a find! Trudies' is a truly welcoming tea garden with gazebos and a summer house complete with wood burner to cater for all weathers. Access is via a smooth concrete path with a ramp to the terrace and summer house making it disabled friendly. A wide variety of cakes are served including gluten free. There us even gluten and dairy free ice cream. Service is warm, friendly and welcoming. Cards and small gifts are for sale in the summer house. All in all a very pleasant stop off on a beautiful environment.

I've been here at least 5 times now, when walking in the area or cycling through. Stopped yesterday with family , walking locally from Brailes area. It's quite simply a lovely place to stop for Tea and Cakes or whatever else happens to be on the menu. Cherington village is pretty and very quiet, but not far from the A3400 between Shipston and Long Compton. Would definitely make a diversion from this route just to go there....! The only dilemma is choosing From all the home made offerings.......

What a wonderful place to sit and while away a summer afternoon sipping imperial earl grey (the best, most fragrant and punchy I've ever tasted) eating homemade sausage rolls with crunchy coleslaw, followed by lime and coconut cake - think lemon drizzle topping - but lime with a bouncy sponge laced with coconut - and the piece de resistance was freshly baked apricot scone with clotted cream and homemade rhubarb and ginger jam. What a smorgasbord of delights Trudie whips up for us to enjoy ....

Set in a lovely Cotswold village this charming tearoom is quintessentially English. Trudie is the perfect host and her cakes are all homemade, fresh and totally delicious. The welcome is warm and nothing is ever too much trouble. Sit in the pretty garden if the weather is fine or in the delightful garden room with wood burning stove for when the weather is not so good. This is without doubt my favourite local tearoom.

We visited on our way to the Cotswold Gin distillery. Trudie waved at us as we drove in in our mini bus and welcomed us in. The smell coming from the kitchen was amazing and the freshly baked goods didn’t disappoint. We tried the apricot scones, lemon drizzle and chocolate and banana cake which had literally just come out of the oven. All of the cakes were delicious and moist. Everything was made even better by the pretty garden, gorgeous sunshine and the fabulous service from Trudie. The tea garden is only open Friday to Monday, definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and very close to the distillery.

Stumbled on this place when we were looking to kill some time before visiting the Distillery, which is only a 10 minute walk away. So pleased we did. Sat inside a fantastic summer house decorated with homemade crafts which are all for sale. Freshly made cakes and sausage rolls are offered as well as a large selection of teas, coffees and soft drinks all served with a smile at reasonable prices. We actually then returned later in the day and Sat outside for another cup of tea.

We'd been cycling for about four hours and as we approached Cherington we started to wonder if the pub would still be open for a bite to eat and drink, when we came across a delightful sign announcing Trudie's tea garden. Well it sounded just what we were looking for and two more signs later we arrived to exactly that! The welcome was warm and friendly the raspberry polenta cake divine and the chocolate, banana and pecan cake to die for. Lovely tea and not just builders a fantastic selection. What was amazing though was all the extras, water for the journey, new pump in case of a slow puncture, booking ahead if you wanted to be sure of your cream tea! A gem of a tea stop. So good we are already making plans to go back with friends soon!

we have not had the pleasure of trying Trudie's Tea Garden but having eaten some of the scones made by our charming neighbour, Trudie, we know how well she bakes. We see a steady stream of seemingly very satisfied walkers, bikers and visitors to the area passing our house on their way to or from the garden and know that this is the only place for miles around where a cup of tea and a bite to eat is available. Try it.

I came here whilst waiting for my parents to finish their tour of the distillery that I'd booked for them a few minutes away. Initially I came to revise, but that was impossible with such a sweet and well behaved dog they had there, Meg. I was made to feel welcome, food bought to my table and even asked if I wanted background music or not. There were some amazing scones in the cream tea and I was also shocked at how amazing the home made ginger and rhubarb marmalade was too. I cannot thank these ladies enough for their hospitality and with such a beautiful setting, it was lovely to get some headspace. Really well priced for what I got as well. Would highly recommend.

Trudie is an expert at making delicious cakes, scones & also soups for those in need of a little more sustenance. There are so many nice little touches that you wouldn't normally expect like books, games, music, blankets for chilly knees, home made jams, trinkets, candles, local art & children have plenty to keep them occupied too!
