Could have eaten EVERYTHING on the menu! The breakfast selection is amazing, if you enjoy savoury options and for those with a sweeter tooth: there's cakes or granola too. Not for me, though: the corn pancakes with feta were amazing! The side salad dressed with a lovely dressing and the pickles simply delicious. An abundance of flavour on my plate. Glorious. And the flat white was excellent too. Had wanted to continue eating my way through the menu, but the cafe was closed for the bank holidays. So, I may just have to come back!

Fabulous brunch and great atmosphere, options for all dietary requirements. I loved the “Summer Soca” which is vegetarian with an option to add a delicious cubed beef kebab which tasted like it had been cooked over coals. Will definitely return!

Terrible place if you're a man and wanted a proper bacon sarnie. Wife likes all the healthy bowls of stuff. Nothing for men. Bread for the bacon sarnie was home made and dry. Fell to bits in my hands. Bancon rashers were dry and awfull. Was expensive and awfull. Only go if you're a veggie hippy

I hesitate to say quirky because so many other people have, so I'm opting for charming. We visited on a hot day and sat outside at a table where the parasol had been placed a few feet away so the whole table was in shade - so much better than on a pole in the centre of the table. As others have noted, the menu is a a bit 'vegan/vegetarian' with an unusual selection of ingredients. That said, most of it was not vegan (although could made so if requested, I would guess). We had the bacon sandwiches which (to me) had a honey/five spice/Asian twist and were delicious, But not your traditional 'bacon butty', so be prepared for an adventure. They were also enormous and very filling. Really loved this place, out of the way and unusual in all the right ways. And the pottery shop is lovely too!

Having read the other reviews, I agree that this is a wonderful little place, however, the menu was plainly aimed at vegetarian and vegan palates, so very confusing, busy and over complicated that we ended up just having shortbread! Smallest latte cups in the universe, with no handles, which is quirky and niche but of no use at all if you have arthritic hands… I also totally understand the compostable loos, but would prefer a proper loo seat as opposed to a slit!! On the whole, OK, but we probably wouldn’t go again.

We always love visiting the straw kitchen. Their menu is a lovely combination of familiar favourites and exciting new dishes and they always have seasonal specials. Many of the ingredients are grown onsite and they use local businesses wherever possible. The coffee is perfect and I can highly recommend the peanut butter cookies. The staff are always friendly, welcoming and helpful and service is speedy, especially considering that it's all freshly made. There's a lovely bustling atmosphere and it's a very popular spot. Worth getting there early at peak times as they get very busy.

Stopped here for lunch on a 30 mile bike ride. Very creative and imaginative menu with fresh ingredients. Both had chorizo and feta on sourdough with salad - delicious. Small cans of drinks all £2.50. Service very friendly. Boiling day - shame there wasn’t enough shade over outside seating to be able to sit in garden area. Big sun canopies are nice idea but they only actually accommodate one table. I suppose it’s not really been needed this summer (until now!!) Would definitely return.

See the effort this place goes to with food offerings and staff constantly moving as a popular/busy spot in the summer (plenty of outdoor seating) My thoughts…simplify menu and be a little more generous with portions. Hot drinks weren’t served hot and ranks the smallest latte I’ve had EVER. Ordered both mezze plates to share, as first timers, thought a good way to ‘see for ourselves’. Again titchy. In hindsight might have been better value to choose 3 mains we actually wanted and share those. Oh well. Nice enough to try once. Not sure I’ll come again purposely.

Without question, our best dining experience in 50 days of travel in the UK. Excellent coffee and truly excellent food, combined with a superb atmosphere and comedic service. Lots of back-chat, and generally happy vibes. Cluttered-but-clean dining tables scattered around wherever they fit, noisy customers and the staff buzzing around, all add to the amazing atmosphere. Come here on a Saturday morning as we did, and sit and watch it all going on around you - while tucking in to the Meze Plate. We ordered both versions: Vegetarian/Vegan and the steamed chicken option (with added chorizo...). Just delicious! The coffee was so good that I ordered a take away to drink as we perused the wares in the pottery shop. We loved this place. We first visited at the beginning of our holiday, and couldn't wait to come again. We weren't disappointed...

A very pleasant location, family- and dog-friendly. However the menu is very limited and yet excessively complicated. Each dish has too many competing flavours (a bacon sandwich swamped by the overpowering flavour of aniseed from the (otherwise delicious on its own) bread, for example. A private suggestion that sometimes less is more met with a very dismissive response; we know now that our custom is not wanted there.

Lovely quirky inventive cafe. Strongly recommend going when the weather’s good - we cycled there. Lots of great outside seating (with shade) in lovely setting. Menu is very creative and great choices with lots of veggie/vegan options. We both had the bacon sandwich - absolutely delicious crisp bacon, lovely relish and fab bread. For £6 it was a meal in itself & best I’ve had! Coffee was lovely - minor criticism is they come in lovely pottery cups without handles but they are small for a latte. They fill them to the brim and mine spilt on way back to table! A bigger mug for lattes/cappuccinos may be more sensible. Would highly recommend.

What an unique cafe / food place. Totally magical and full of zest. There was some nice relaxing funky soul music gently playing on the background and together with the funky deco, lovely weather, nice people and gorgeous food, I even enjoyed a short "siesta" outside on a wooden bench, next to some beautiful flowers and enjoying the sun kiss with a blissful breeze. This was on a June's Friday afternoon just after work, when I had the urge to discover The Straw Kitchen magic place. I rode through narrow countryside lines away from busy roads and enjoyed my ride up and down the rolling hills and through lovely villages (from Leamington Spa). Excellent healthy food and drinks bursting with flavours. Loved it!!

Occasionally you have a meal that you know you will remember for a long time to come - it’s just usually not a bowl of soup with hot buttered toast! After the long freezing winter, the Straw Kitchen is finally open in spring time. My sister and I can’t wait to visit it. This is a sunny Saturday, the restaurant is full of people. Many people bring their kids and dogs here to enjoy the good sunshine. There is a outdoor area, we enjoyed the food there, watching the children playing and the dogs barking to each other. It’s fun! Food is nice, I ordered the soup as it’s made by Ukrainian green lentil. My little support to the Ukraine. Sister loves her beetroot feta too. It’s beautiful and yummy!
