The best restaurants serving British food in England

We decided to try Sunday lunch here, they don't offer roast, but the menu even though small, was varied, I chose the homemade Chicken pie and my partner the Schnitzel, both were delicious! The service also great, staff friendly and very attentive.

Lovely Find. Brilliant dog friendly resturant. Very welcoming with delicious food and great service. The sandwich and chicken soup were very tasty and well presented. Great value for money.

Fantastic sandwiches and lovely people

Having seen people recommend here on Facebook we looked forward to our visit. Whilst the food was okay we felt that price wise, paying £55 for a seafood platter for two it was rather expensive, when the platter was put on the table my son initially thought that it was just his. Plus side the salads were lovely and fresh, no limp lettuce, it all looked freshly prepared. Taste wise the prawns were of the small previously frozen variety, the crab was bland, he enjoyed the mussels and the crevettes were nice. Found it strange that pickle is served with a prawn ploughman’s. Ham in the baguette was average. Paying over £30 a head for lunch , only one course each, not sure if we will return. The gardens and setting are beautiful, with lovely views of the bay. The website needs updating, as prices are very different now.

I have been visiting the View for several years and have always been delighted with the ambience, service, quality of the food and its presentation. The students can feel very proud of themselves. My friend and I were celebrating our respective birthdays on our last visit, and this was acknowledged with candles on our dessert and an extra chocolate treat. Were were delighted.

Would not go anywhere else spotlessly clean friendly staff

Hi everyone most of you will probs know me but worked at the hideaway for a few months now and couldn’t say how much I love it as a job great venue and great customer love ever bit of my job and it’s a great environment to be in and also the manger is great and thanks to everyone that comes in 😀

Visitó este lugar como huésped alojado (en uno de sus hermosos apartamentos de un dormitorio) y también comió en el restaurante. El lugar, el personal y la comida eran geniales. La estancia en los apartamentos era excelente. Enormes salas de recepción, habitaciones muy acogedoras y presentado muy bien por lo que no quieres salir. Volveré pronto.

El personal era muy amable y la comida estaba recién hecha y tenía un sabor increíble, recomiendo encarecidamente el bocadillo de cerdo caliente con crujido x gracias

After visiting friends in Wymondham, they suggested Janeys for lunch. My brother, sister and I had 2 Lincolnshire sausage casseroles and a cottage pie. The quantity is so generous but we all managed to finish it. Excellent food, can’t speak too highly of it. When we are next in Norfolk will hopefully visit again.

We love this place, great atmosphere, good food, brilliant staff, very attentive, feel good place, a massive well done
