Excellent Food, brilliant choice, Lovely Staff, all on all a fabulous village care. Would definitely visit again if on the area.

Went for Breakfast with Daughter who has just moved to Hethersett. What a lovely cafe. Staff friendly and efficient. Food is amazing, great quality and cooked just like at home. Wish I had room to try the cheese scones (next time). Prices are so reasonable Cant wait to visit again when I am in the area. Janeys is One big upside to my Daughter moving away from Essex. 🥓🥞🍞🍳🥖🍄‍🟫☕️

This is the first time I have ever left a review but have visited this establishment many times. I have sampled everything from the breakfasts to burgers and their fantastic specials. I can’t have enough praise for Janie and all the staff.

Best breakfast I’ve had for a very long time. Not the cheapest however you get what you pay for and for the taste I would pay more. Great friendly service.

We called in for coffee first to check it out. It felt very comfortable, so we booked a table for lunch as there were 5 of us plus a newborn baby. We all had various things,and all were good. This place is up for sale by the landlord and truly hope they are able to carry on with the cafe. The village benefits from it.

A dog friendly as well as very people friendly cafe. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome inside with plenty of room around the tables to keep everyone comfortable. I had a Great 'Full English' and great service at a very fair price. Generous portions of nice fresh food that is well prepared.The service was prompt and friendly. The furnishings are modest but clean, comfortable and pleasant with a nice homely atmosphere.

Tastey food and great portion size. All staff made us feel welcome. Hethersett is lucky to have such a lovely cafe. We will definitely return.

A hidden gem, visited on the way to Barnham Broom and glad we did. 4 friends looking for a large pot of tea and hearty breakfast. Food and service was fabulous. Well done well recommended. Excellent cooked breakfast with plenty of options. I went for one of the large breakfast with extra black pudding and it was superb. Nice quality ingredients, all cooked to tee. A score of 5 for hygiene and polite and friendly staff. A winner.

I used to live in Hethersett but had somehow never got round to visiting Janeys. What a mistake I made. Visited today for lunch with my sister (who lives in the village) and mum and niece. Felt very covid safe, they happily accommodated my nieces pushchair. The girl who served us was bubbly and friendly. The food was delicious, I had a prawn marie rose sandwich which came with lovely coleslaw and salad (all of the sandwich, baps and toasties come with the coleslaw and salad) with a side of skinny fries. The sandwich was really packed full of juicy prawns and was so good. Mum had a bacon, brie and cranberry bap which was massive and she said it was really lovely. My sister had a tuna melt with cheesy chips both of which looked amazing. Really reasonably priced and a lovely friendly atmosphere we will definitely be back ASAP.

Sat outside as very warm, service was quick and food freshly prepared, relaxed atmosphere, would definitely visit again

It has taken me a while to write this review what with Christmas, holidays, etc but really wanted to make sure I did as we had a fab breakfast here! Myself & my husband both had the large breakfast & shared it with our 3 year old. It was very well cooked & 'clean'. Service was friendly & efficient. We will visit again

He comido un par de veces antes, pero lo hice de nuevo el sábado por la mañana para el desayuno. Me encanta este cafe. La chica que nos atendió fue muy educada, amable y súper eficiente dirigiendo al cliente. Las bebidas se sirvieron súper rápido y no tuvimos que esperar mucho para nuestro desayuno a pesar de que el café estaba prácticamente lleno. Los desayunos eran deliciosos, calientes y absolutamente perfectos. Enhorabuena a todos los involucrados y definitivamente volveremos.

A real hidden gem! The BEST cooked breakfast for miles! In my photo it’s a medium breakfast and it’s very filling. Fresh, hot and the service is great! They also have an extensive specials board. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for breakfast now! Visit if you’re nearby. You won’t be sorry!

En serio, no pude encontrar ningún defecto. Huevos perfectos, tocino, papas fritas y tostadas. La esposa tenía huevos revueltos, tocino, papas y tostadas. Lástima que vivo a 100 millas de distancia o esto sería un habitual.Filtro de café excelente también.Un verdadero chef que sabe cocinar.Se detendrá la próxima vez que pase, sin duda.

Este café es más como un café de cuchara grasienta, incluso huele a un café de cuchara grasienta, ¡así que probablemente sea una delicia celestial para algunos comensales!Sin embargo, no nos gustó, pensamos que los batidos y pasteles eran de muy mala calidad e insípidos. Nos fuimos sintiendo que habíamos malgastado nuestro dinero. Solo creo que Hethersett podría hacerlo mejor. Supongo que en ese sentido hay Park Farm Hotel y Waitrose cafe en Wymondham.

Lived in the next village for many years driven past this cafe lots of times. Today weather was awful thought we needed a fried breakfast. WOW PERFECT GREAT SERVICE GREAT VALUE 110% will be back looking at other people's meals WOW and home made proper chips.

What a hidden treasure, members of our family have just moved into the area and used this cafe during their house hunting so took us there during our recent visit. What a great meeting place for friends and family and great wholesome 'home style' cooking. Our party all had a different main course fro. The menu and off the specials board and it arrived piping hot and the portions were massive. All our meals were very well prepared, well presented and tasty, this was shown by how little talking was carried out during the meal.We will definately be going there again next time we are visiting.

Visited for Brunch recently. A lovely little café, with a good sized menu. Big portions, especially for the big breakfast, which was really tasty and well cooked. Price wise it is really reasonable for what you get. I certainly recommend the big breakfast!

Our Son had been to this Cafe previously with his peers and spoke fondly of it, so in the holidays my Husband planned a visit last week and we were not disappointed! Excellent Food at reasonable prices served until mid afternoon.Good sized portions.Breakfasts,Roasts and the Liver and Bacon meals are my favourite Their gravy is heaven They also do great selections of cakes and afternoon teas.Also Takeaway meals or just relax with a pot of tea.

Not usually a huge fan of omelettes yet this time I was. Filled with tomato, bacon and mushroom and by the end there wasn’t mush-room for the toast. Accompanied by a hot chocolate topped with cream and marshmallows, all for £7.50. Very nice indeed

At Janeys you will quite simply get the best Full English Breakfast in Norwich. The portions are huge and the value amazing. Janey herself will probably serve you and do so with a smile. Her food is generally good no matter what you order. It's worth the drive to Hethersett.

This is a little gem in middle of Hethersett. Warm and welcoming and the breakfasts are fabulous and value for money.

Nuestra visita de 1 calle a esta próspera cafetería pequeña y como siempre la comida era de primera calidad y una experiencia muy agradable. Tuve la carne asada que venía con verduras frescas, budín y salsa de cebolla (¡y en abundancia!) Todo estaba muy bien preparado y tenía ese atractivo casero.

¿Qué tan bueno es este lugar? El mejor desayuno completo que he encontrado. Parece que no hay nada desde afuera, y casi no entramos, gracias a Dios que lo hicimos. Comida fabulosa, carnes de calidad (me encantaría saber de dónde) y un servicio amable. 5 estrellas no es suficiente para este increíble café.

Visitamos este café como parte de nuestro recorrido por los lugares de desayuno. Todos tuvimos el gran desayuno inglés, que era excelente ya un precio muy razonable. Todos los ingredientes eran buenos, especialmente las salchichas y las patatas en rodajas. El café estaba bastante ocupado con una sección representativa de familias, parejas, trabajadores e individuos. Hay estacionamiento limitado en el frente, pero puedes aparcar en Mill Road. Este es ciertamente un lugar para visitas de regreso.

Visited this place today for a coffee,ended up having a breakfast too. Very bright and clean looking place decorated very nicely. Very welcoming and friendly staff, very good menu for a small cafe. Breakfast was very nice, well presented, and tasted very nice. Would definitely recommend it, and will definitely will be going back, gonna try their lunch/dinner menu.

Been here a few times now for breakfast and this is the best cafe around. Great food for good price, a good ol' typical local cafe breakfast which fulfills all expectations. Good portion sizes and great friendly service.

We visited recently with a party of 8 for breakfast. The cafe was very busy and we had to wait for seating. It was a proper fried breakfast with generous portions. They served proper sausages not the cheap ones that you normally expect in a cafe. It was kid friendly. It looked like there was only two staff running the cafe when we visited but they were very efficient. I ordered a bacon and egg sandwich- there must have been four rashers of bacon in the sandwich. It was also reasonably priced.

Great British breakfast. Great service. Great value. I've lived and worked in the area for decades but this was only a recent find for me ... Recommended.

Came in for breakfast as had an early appointment nearby really friendly staff and lovely breakfast with the choice of large or medium. Good value for money would return again.

Vine aquí para el desayuno. Ambos tuvimos el gran desayuno que era excelente - 5 libras. 95, que es una muy buena relación calidad-precio. Salchichas eran encantadores, todo el plato estaba bien preparado con la calidad de sus ingredientes. Nunca he recibido una orden de comida tan rápidamente!

Visitamos hoy aquí (la última vez hace 5 meses) y otra vez no me decepcionó! Decidimos ir para un desayuno inglés completo y esta vez de verdad que era uno de los mejores desayunos fritos que he tenido! (Ver foto de referencia) Todo estaba cocinado a la perfección, el tocino y las salchichas eran de primera calidad con un sabor más encantador. La patata era perfectamente crujiente y estas patatas fritas que no aparecen en el menú era una ventaja! No estoy muy interesado en setas pero estos seres estaban fritas justo y tenía buen gusto. Yo tenía el desayuno en 4 libras. 95 (vale la pena! ) y teníamos una enorme taza de té para dos de nosotros, lo que permite 6 tazas completo por sólo £2. 50. Así que en total toda mi desayuno y bebidas era £6. 25, el cual es más que razonable. El desayuno era encantador y demasiado calor, lo cual es fantástico, ya no desnudos tibios y comida fría! Visitamos aquí con mi padre, que era su primera visita, y él fue profundamente impresionado. Ya ha sido con madre, amigos y mi pareja, así que la próxima su nan & grandads doble! Se sirvió comida rápidamente y las instalaciones muy limpias.

Me encanta este café, es local para nosotros una gran calidad de la comida y también un servicio fantástico y amable. Nos encanta venir aquí como una familia para tomar café y tarta con los niños. Debe probar el pastel u es hugeeee e increíbles. !

Today was my 4th visit to this thriving little cafe and as always food was top quality and a very enjoyable experience! I had the roast beef which came with fresh vegetables, pudding and think onion gravy (and plenty of it!) Everything was cooked really well and had that homemade appeal to it. In the past I have also had tuna jacket potato, tuna toastie with deep fried home made chips which are absolutely amazing, and this cream egg cheesecake which was delicious!!! Not just a cheesecake with a cream egg stuck on the top as most places would do, the whole mixture was made with cream egg so flavours were strong and it was divine!All the food is served nice and hot, it arrives pretty quick and the cafe has a nice homely feel and is very clean. As soon as people leave there is always more people waiting to come in! Janey (the owner) is very friendly, and if she has time inbetween cooking she often comes out to talk to her customers which gives it a very personal touch. I want to return soon to try the full english breakfast and will be recommending this place and encouraging my family to visit!A great little asset to the village of Hethersett!

Janey's village cafe is lovely, I have been there many times, everything I've had has been delicious... The full English breakfasts, the cakes& donuts, the pasta dishes! Janey and her staff make you feel very welcome, I highly recommend coming here and enjoying some hearty food!

Went for a business meeting and had a generous slice of coffee and walnut cake while waiting for a colleague. It was amazing!! Plus friendly service, always a plus!

We visited here after it had been recommended to us by friends! We were greeted by the very friendly owner, Janey, who took our order of a medium cooked breakfast and tea for two. It was all freshly cooked and very tasty! As it is off the beaten track you are unlikely to pass it but it is definitely worth a visit!

My colleagues and I sometimes feel the need for a takeaway lunch and Janey's doesn't disappoint. We ring up, order our baguette, bacon butty, sandwich or baked potato and then nip round to collect the order. Always freshly prepared and delicious - and very good value for money!

We have visited this cafe many times and we have never been disappointed. The food is always nicely prepared and there is plenty of it. There is a good selection of specials on offer and all at very reasonable prices. The all day breakfast is excellent value for money and you will certainly not feel hungry after eating it. The surroundings are very nice and the service is also very good. This cafe deserves to do well and I would strongly recommend a visit.

Great home cooked food at a good price. clean and tidy venue with friendly staff. So pleased there is a decent cafe on my doorstep.

I visit Janeys regularly since it opened and the value for money is exceptional. The food is home cooking and solid with plenty of specials to add to the menu. You can eat anything from a full blown roast to a salad, snack or afternoon tea.This is a great place to meet and chat and there is no need to hurry. It's now open seven days a week and 8 a.m to 8 p.m on Mondays to Fridays. Make sure you are hungry before you go as the portions are massive.

I would like to just say how wonderful a Café this is. It really deserves all the Villages and beyond support and its opening times to give the business a good scope are brilliant. You can pop in for breakfast I believe from 8am and at the end of the day pop in for a cooked meal up until they close at 8.00pm(giving them a little notice say by 7.30pm). I have now popped in after work for my tea at about 7pm for my tea, so spoilt for choice of specials or main menu starting at approx. £6.00. The quality and quantity are wonderful varying from cooked breakfasts(all day) to lunch sandwiches etc to amazing Sausage and mash, liver and bacon, Lasagne , toad in the hole all served with mash, gravy, chips or wedges etc. That's without me having room as yet for a pudding or slice of homemade cake :). please please support this hard working team but do try and leave me a nice window seat if possible :) Carole
