The Hideaway in Bassetlaw

Hi everyone most of you will probs know me but worked at the hideaway for a few months now and couldn’t say how much I love it as a job great venue and great customer love ever bit of my job and it’s a great environment to be in and also the manger is great and thanks to everyone that comes in 😀

It is really good but the only thing that is wrong is that the men toilet's don’t have a door lock

Just not my thing 😅🤣 went in for a last pint.....staff seemed friendly through.

Lovely food, great company and conversation with the landlord & wife, I went with a burger which was delicious, made to my liking, also with proper beef and we all chatted into late hours. I'll definitely be coming back for more.

Just tried out The Hideaway with friends, what a great little place. Food is very good and lots of it, great background music but not too loud that you can’t have a conversation. Staff polite and enthusiastic. Would return and will recommend.

Popped in for lunch (Sat ) food was all freshly cooked, had spaghetti carbonara, lots of chicken and bacon. Very tasty. Hubby had spaghetti bolognese, looked so nice had to have a taste! I was not disappointed. Lovely setting, nice friendly staff.

Found The Hideaway by accident while looking for an open restaurant, nice hosts, excellent food/prices, and we got to chat to locals - ended a weeks tour with a great evening, and our great grandson also found a friend he wants to meet again. We had three different meals, al excellent They also offer a delivery service Thanks to all concerned.

They do amazing ice cream here. Staff are polite and friendly

You will find this cocktail/gin bar in a small precinct in the centre of Retford. It’s basically a shop unit which they have transformed. The drinks are well presented and reasonable. Worth a look in.

A wonderfully warm welcome and superb service. The food was fresh and there was plenty of variety. Super close to the town centre and well worth a visit - whether for a tea and a quick snack, or a wholesome home-cooked meal.

Called in for dinner. More of a cafe atmosphere but lovely people and amazing food! You will come away very satisfied and still with a few pounds in your purse :-). Recommended.

Popped in here the other morning with a friend for a very quick coffee and something to eat, had two large coffees and two bacon rolls, lots of quality bacon and brown sauce, really nice friendly lady served us who appeared to be on her own in the cafe. Lovely food and service, the biggest surprise was the bill, we would have struggled to buy the ingredients for what we paid. Highly recommended - will be going again to try some of the other items on the menu.

Great food at a great price. Very tasty home made food. Pierogi is delicious. Polish kebab was huge and delicious. So many options on the menu. All cooked fresh while you wait. My favourite for breakfast is the breakfast wrap, delicious and filling. Have made regular trips here lately as the food is very tasty and the owners are very friendly and welcoming too! Any changes I have wanted are always accommodated with a smile.

I visited here on saturday with my family, we all had the breakfast. This consisted of tea, toast, egg,bacon,sausage,hash brown, beans,mushrooms and tomatoes. All for £5.50. Best breakfast in Retford. The people who own it are very friendly and welcoming. Drinks are cheap If you want to call on an evening. I visit here on a weekly basis. I would give it 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 .

We called in the afternoon today just for a drink, as the weather was so good we had a beer, and yes I know Tyskie is cheaper at the supermarket but it feels so much more authentic here. The staff are all so welcoming and friendly and you feel valued at this venue. Tried the Zubr beer, very good. Try the place if you haven't, and want to try traditional English or Polish food, or the ice creams on offer.

A friend and I had a lovely meal to day and the lady who served us was very nice and we shall be going again

Having visited Poland for holiday and work I was interested to see what this place had to offer. The menu posted outside looked interesting and the presentation of the place looked welcoming. We were not disappointed when we went. The welcome, service and food were all excellent. The food was well presented, tasty and plenty of it for a very moderate price. Will be back. Well done!

Visited yesterday just so my son could try the range of ice cream on offer - lots of choice, including toppings and sauces. He's a bit of an ice cream connoisseur and was very impressed with the ice cream here. The lady who was working was so helpful and pleasant that we will visit for a full meal next time we visit Retford.

So much more than i expected. Food great. Service great. Owner very interesting to talk to. Will definitely go again. Very good food at a very reasonable price.

Tried this eatery for the first time and were very impressed with the service, welcome and food. The pierogi with wild mushroom sauce was excellent just like the pierogi we had in Krakow, genuine food. For desert we both chose the waffle with ice cream, wild berries, cream and a hot berry sauce, delicious. We will return and recommend highly, for excellent food at a reasonable price, the Tyskie beer was also reasonably priced.

Delicious polish food, very friendly staff, huge portions and great value for money. Will definitely return!

A great little cafe for everything from a snack to a full meal. Prices very reasonable and bacon and egg butties to die for. Really recommended.

My wife and I have visited Aroma Lounge several times now and been very impressed. Very good pot of tea, sandwiches excellent and prices very reasonable. The couple who have recently taken are working really hard to please customers and doing a good job. Bacon and egg sarrnies second to none. Keep up the good work.

Parking space close to the restaurant, friendly service, and what tigers like best 😀 lots of good food and cheap 🤣 I recommend it

I first visited the restaurant with my granddaughter who was in the usual desperate need to have something to eat. The owners were so welcoming and only to happy to serve us. The food was delicious well presented and good value. When deciding whether to have a pudding the owners were happy to talk through the choices to make sure we had what we wanted. My granddaughter has gone on to eat there again several times including meeting friends to have breakfast there and said that the breakfast was really good. The owners are happy for you to sit and chat and take your time, which is lovely for meeting up with friends or family and not being rushed to eat and go. The have a full and varied menu that should suit all tastes and have been adding to their menu recently including valetines specials etc. I highly recommend a visit

I’ve been coming to The Aroma Lounge for a few weeks now. Usually it’s for a traditional lunch. Lunches are reasonably price with chicken, beef or pork. You get fresh veg, potatoes and of course gravy.
