The Dukeries Tea Room in Bassetlaw

Went here for lunch with a friend. We hadn’t booked but with a wait we could be accommodated. I’ll book next time. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. They were disinfecting tables and chairs when customers left and tables were well distanced. The menu was full of interesting dishes so was spoiled for choice. I can recommend the cauliflower and onion bajhi salad. It’s classed as a light bite but it was very filling. Had already ordered carrot cake but managed to squeeze it in. It was a proper sized piece of cake too! The food was delicious and fresh. Would highly recommend it and will be back myself.

We walked the whole length of the main street looking at options for breakfast, then came right back to the start and here. So glad we did. The price was unbelievably good for the quality of food served-we had two breakfasts including toast and a big cup of brewed coffee for 6 pounds-so good. The girl serving has to have the biggest, friendlies smile in the UK and was just so good at her job! The owner came and chatted to us explaining he's just opened the place recently. I really wish him well as it was great!
