Really great place. To start we didn’t realise the restaurant wasn’t open for another 20 min and we were welcomed inside to take a seat. Very accommodating with young children, nice high hairs, toddler cutlery, paper & crayons. Nice menu and good quality food all cooked very well. Steak perfectly. Set menu for kids was actually very good value. Friendly service. Highly recommended.

We stumbled on this café on our arrival. We were looking for a late lunch venue. Number Forty Four, was warm and welcoming. We all chose various sandwiches and either wine or a slim beer. The staff were chatty and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch experience. We returned the following day for lunch and immediately booked a table for breakfast on our final day. Highly recommended

Nuestra última visita fue en noviembre para mi padre - en - leyes 80 cumpleaños. El personal es siempre amable y estamos encantados de que decoremos la mesa con la parafernalia 80 durante la tarde. También nos permitieron dejar un pastel de cumpleaños como sorpresa para el cumpleañero. Huelga decir que la comida era espectacular y el servicio era de primera clase. En general, todos tuvimos una noche fabulosa... Muchas gracias por cuidarnos. Volveremos en mayo (aún no reservado). Esperemos que antes de que se vaya el próximo 'Amigo'. We had a most enjoyable Sunday lunch with family. Cannot fault the food, service or atmosphere. It's not a bad drink selection either. Will definitely call again.

Great place. Lots of ciders. Local ones if you fancy trying some new and some commercial ones too. Food is simple and hot. If you like eating in Michelin star restaurants then forget it! If you are a normal person looking for sensible priced beer and grub then you will love it!

Never been here before but my boyfriend has and he recommended the place when we came it it was lovely atmosphere and loads of people there which was lovely to see the staff were quick to take our order. And it did t take long for our order to come out. The food was lush everything was piping hot and the meat just fell apart well worth the money and I hope to return soon

Wonderful community pub. Friendly and helpful bar staff, wonderful Sunday roast, great real ale, lovely old pub in a charming village.

Introduced my brother in law and his wife who were visiting from Essex, to the Black Agnes. Both were blown away with the quality of the food, and the price, so much to say he would happily come back to Scotland for the Black Agnes food.

An amazing rural pub, under new ownership. Very friendly, good honest food and a beautiful function area. Well worth a visit

Nos mostraron a la sala de estar de arriba - caminamos a través de la cocina, un poco inusual, pero bien. retraso en estar sentado desde cuando reservamos unos 20 minutos. Pedido nuestra red y otra ronda de bebidas, que llegó con prontitud, precisión, y bien presentado. Parte de nuestro grupo pidió Tapas, de las que estaban absolutamente delirantes, en particular la berenjena con miel, las setas al ajo, y el cordero siendo el plato principal, platos muy sabrosos y decentes para las Tapas. El resto de nosotros pedimos pasta o pizza. La pizza que me dijeron era promedio y la vi. El ravioli de pasta de langosta era muy agradable, me dijeron. Tengo la Penne Carbonara. El penne no era casero, lardon bastante duro y masticable y estaba hecho con crema, pero la carbonara hecha correctamente no debería tener crema y honestamente no sabía mejor que una comida lista de £ 4 aunque el menú especificaba crema, así que tal vez no debería haberlo hecho? 3 de nosotros tenemos desiertos, todos encantadores, pero la camarera literalmente los tiró a la mesa! Supongo que estaba estresada después de un largo servicio del viernes. Revisión mixta, probablemente lo probaré de nuevo y conseguiré las tapas porque es local y a un precio razonable.

Would definitely recommend to anyone. We had a wonderful time here for an anniversary dinner. The food was really good and we enjoyed that we were given time with each dish to finish it before moving on. As they're sharing plates, it was nice to not have several dishes at once. They had run out of the wine we wanted but we're suggested another bottle which was good. Service was great once it was underway, there were 2 large tables finishing as we arrived which took some time to complete.

Best pint of amstel I've ever had. Misses had a sweet and a coffee which was also nice 8/10. Service was excellent.

Another fantastic meal at The Creek. Excellent service and superb food. Desserts to die for and gorgeous local G&T. Caroline and her team are so welcoming.

Great food as normal large portions definitely the best in Devon. Staff smiley and efficient service with a smile especially Emily and Jamie well done all
