The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving British food

Ciertamente se veía bien y, cuando se trataba de sabores, me sorprendió gratamente. El guiso estaba sabroso; las zanahorias, las patatas y el cordero estaban tiernos, y el caldo era excelente para mojar con el pan. En muchos sentidos, el plato me recordó a un estofado de ternera que solían hacer mis abuelos. En resumen, el estofado irlandés superó con creces mis (bajas) expectativas. COMIDA: 4/5 SERVICIO: 4/5 VALOR: 4/5 RECOMENDACIÓN: Debido a mi experiencia, me sorprendió bastante cuando inicié sesión en TripAdvisor y vi que 44/65 reseñas de este restaurante se calificaron como "malas" o "terribles", lo que representa un poco más del 67% del total. Tal vez otros elementos del menú están por debajo de la media, o tal vez simplemente tuve suerte. Independientemente, encontré street. I'm not sure why but our last 2 orders in March were cancelled. We can't get through to them on the phone either to see if they are actually taking orders. Great food but if you don't want to take orders, don't be available on here as it takes a weeks for JustEat to return your money.

Old place, they told us that they were going to renovate it, the accommodation cost 80 and they don't have many, clients have a side access.

Says it was open till 8pm went to get food at 7pm and it wasn't even open looked like it hadn't even been open this evening. This is terrible if you say you are open then open or change the opening times.

I LOVE The Slug and Lettuce for bottomless brunch, totally nailed it. Freya and Mary were wonderful, no waiting around for drinks, both chatty and just absolute lovely people. Totally recommend, even if you don't go hell for leather, so worth it 😋 😁

We decided to call for early tea after, with it been half term for a treat. We have been before and was good... My 2 daughters especially were looking forward to it as it was a curry Wednesday. Was busy as lots of tables were reserved. Kids decided to have a korma as well did i,and husband get a mixed grill. Went to bar over heard person in front complaining to friend they dont have anything. Our turn no Korma available. So I chose, tikka kids had burger, husbands was available. They said they had run out drinks glasses. No big problem that though. Got knifes ect brought had to wipe knives as wasn't totally clean. Then food brought to table, tikka was brought in a soup bowl, have had before so was strange, My tikka was just tepid. Husbands gammon was well over cooked. I know they might have busy. But I won't be rushing back.

Waited when arrived and no one came to us. We had to go to a staff member to say we have a table booked!!! Ordered food at bar again only to wait as only one staff member behind bar. Waited then again 45 mins for food and then had to chase it up as the table next to us came in after and got food before us. No apology for waiting and chasing food

Great experience the carvery is well prepared a good proportion of meat is available an the atmosphere is very friendly and helpful caring staff would recommend very good place to dine out

My husband and I had dinner here last night and our whole dining experience was Wonderful! I can't speak highly enough about how AMAZING the staff were, both friendly and helpful. Husband had the 10oz. Gammon dinner with chips, I had the 8oz. Sirloin steak dinner with mashed potato,and we shared a beautiful side salad. Everything was cooked to Perfection, with very little waiting time. The pub was Lovely and Clean, and we loved the history lessons. And they had a Wonderful patio with Beautiful trees. We hope that the management takes Good Care of this staff as they made our dining experience AMAZING! Thank You So Very Much from Colin and Canako from Canada!

We had group of about 25 of us for breakfast, for a men's group for our church. The food great. Everyone cleared their plate. The staff were great too. We will be using them again.

Amazing food, great hospitality, I love what they have done with the place after their recent refurb, the place looks mint and the clientele has change in the right way too, a great place overall

Went in was greeted with a member of staff pointing out menus and informing us of ordering procedure. Very pleased with Covid procedures in place. Enjoyed our meal service was great very happy.

We always enjoy The Bobbin and this was no different - for a start, great when you can still get a Sunday Roast at 7.30pm!! The service seemed a little inattentive but ultimately I think they were just really short staffed. The early evening ambience was a curious mix of families alongside younger groups, some of whom seemed to be in a battle to see who could be heard loudest. The food, as always, was great. Between us we had one beef roast, one lamb roast, and a salmon. Generous portions, really tasty food. Even in these days where cost of living is high, I find myself asking if I want to be paying £26 for a roast dinner but that’s my choice to make. We’ll be back because we always enjoy it.
