Stood at bar money in hand , ignored as other people obviously locals were served and laughed and joked with .gave up and walked out we have recently moved to the area and go out every night.plenty of other places to go will spend my money somewhere else .thank god for wether spoons !!

What a lovely pub!! We had a table of 9 with dogs and they couldn’t have been more accommodating! Beautiful Sunday roast, a good selection of starters and traditional hot puddings. We had a selection of beef, pork, chicken and lamb and all meat was cooked beautifully and plenty of veg with a really tasty proper gravy!! Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon! The land lords were really lovely people xx

Great warm baguettes. I would recommend them to anyone! Cueing out of the door for a reason! Brilliant for lunch on a cold or hot day as cold food offered too.

Excellent service. Pizzas are amazing. Lots of choice and excellent value for money. Good drinks selection and reasonable.

Been going to Cornwall for 6 years. Found this place after been recommended by someone on holiday. Back to see all staff again from 7th September. Best pasties ever.

We pre booked 3 afternoon teas, 1-gf 1- egg free 1- normal, the huge bowl of-hot soup was so tasty , the three platters arrived, beautifully presented and full of the most delicious goodies, sandwiches, cakes and scones, pots of tea - all suited to our dietary requirements, we cudnt eat everything but wer given boxes to take our goodies home. For a small local cafe they offer a wonderful service, I’ve had afternoon tea in many well established places but can truly say that this is the best by far. Tasty food in a clean and welcoming cafe, staff go out of their way to accommodate you and it’s very much appreciated. I would highly recommend you go- enjoy .

We stayed on the attached Campsite while attending a wedding locally. What a find this place was. Excellent campsite with facilities on pitches, very well kept by Mark. Site security was excellent. Cafe onsite offered variety of food including fantastic homemade cakes made by Helen. Throughly recommend this place to stay over or just visiting the Cafe. Good selection of plants as well.

Preciosa comida hoy. Comí pastel de carne con guisantes, puré y salsa. Gran porción que no pude terminar. El pastel era precioso y lleno de trozos de carne. Esposo tenía un tocino y huevo porra que dijo que era muy agradable. ¡El pan estaba bien y fresco y luego terminó mi pastel! Precios muy razonables también.

This is our second visit and it won’t be our last. Atmosphere great very friendly and spotlessly clean. Food is expertly cooked, presented and tastes delicious. I happened upon this wonderful coffee shop by chance, I was cycling in the area and needed calories, I am so glad I found it. The service was excellent the varied choices superb I went for the overnight oats which were delicious. I will always use local independent cafes whenever I am visiting anywhere, I am not a chain regular. The cakes all looked home made as did the all the fare on offer, I spoke to a lovely gentleman who served my food and told him I loved his place. I managed to complete my ride before they closed so popped in for some cake before returning home, suffice to say it was outstanding the carrot cake did not disappoint, it will be my go to now should I return to Ashbourne, I just wish I had it on my doorstep, it is that good. I loved the decor and the ambiance it is a place you feel at home in, which is a difficult quality to acquire in establishments nowadays. The staff and all concerned facilitate this, I so hope this is still here when I next visit.
