On The Corner in Flintshire

Visited today to try the breakfast and it was really nice the food was cooked fresh and came piping hot comes with a big mug of tea and toast with best butter!! We will definitely be returning. The staff very friendly along with the locals who was also friendly.

We all had a lovely meal whilst staying near in our caravan. Me and hubby both vegan and had the vegan full breakfast which was yum! Parents both enjoyed their meals. Had plant based milk cappuccino- only down side was charged more for plant based milk instead of cows milk which seems to always be the case! Hopefully one day that will change. Staff helpful and friendly. Place nice and clean. Would recommend and would visit again.

We stopped by today after staying at a Lake Resort nearby. It was clean and we was greeted immediately by friendly staff members. All Day Breakfast was honestly perfection - you can taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients especially the eggs and sausage. Toast was thick and so flavoursome. I would definitely recommend this place - the menu had such a variety.

Stopped off here on the way to herons retreat, for a brew and something to eat for the husband. Cafe was lovely and clean and the staff were lovely. Hubby had a breakfast bap and said it was probably one of the best he has ever had. And he has had a few 😃 I decided to have the scone with cream and jam. Beautiful scone. Was served warm and fresh. We decided to sit in the naughty corner which tickled me.

Called in on the way home from a break away. Cosy place. A big breakfast for the husband, 2 saus, bacon,mushrooms,hash brown,tomatoes,black puddings,toast and a drink. I opted for a veggie one as I’m fussy when it comes to sausages. Mine was enough for me, with 2 eggs(any way) hash brown, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms and a slice toast and drink. Reasonably priced around £19 inc a latte extra. Nice place, tables were reserved but fortunately a table had become free for us.

Gr8 Welcome, from well run, highly Covid conscious Cafe. Three very good Breakfasts for less than 20 quid, Book here with confidence. We took a 8 months young baby she was made hugely welcome and the high chair was the sturdiest, cleanest bit of kit i ever seen. EVERYTHING WAS SPOT-ON, Even the teapot didn't dribble annoyingly ( A first for a Cafe) took home three Chocolate Brownies ! What a treat. Even had room for a sense of humor ( sign says please keep two sheep apart ! ) Just up the hill from Afonwen Craft Centre .Would make a strong recommendation for a visit to these two hotspots to treat someone you love just like the experience, we, Granddad, Daughter and granddaughter had on our first day out together ever! a real nice day out. We have visited this lovely cafe a few times recently. Staff are lovely and welcoming. Everything spotlessly clean with tables well spaced and lots of hand sanitiser. The soup is always good, homemade. Great cakes and desserts. My husband had the veggie breakfast and i had an omelette yesterday. Both absolutely perfect. Well worth a visit

We have eaten breakfast here pre- and post-COVID. The quality of the ingredients is excellent, great value tasty breakfast and staff are friendly and work hard. We have seen the photos of evening meals in particular fish and chips (available to take away) and will be giving them a go soon, as they look great!

First class food and first class service. All meals are freshly cooked and very tasty (omelettes are to die for). Highly recommended.

We only called for coffee, and of course the cafe was affected by the Covid-19 restrictions. They were well organised for that - including a very clean w.c. We both had Americanos, which were good and in china cups rather than takeaway ones! No seating inside, but we sat at a table down the side of the cafe, with a very interesting view of the square and historic buildings. I managed to mislay my debit card, finding this out later when I was many miles away on the way home. I phoned just before closing time, and the young lady there said she would look on the table at which we had been sitting, and then searched up to the place where the car had been parked. No luck, but I was very impressed by such concern for a customer, well above the call of duty. We will be returning once I have my new debit card! Diolch yn fawr.

Great little cafe in a lovely village, absolutely love going here with my family for breakfast on a weekend great value for money with good service a very organized establishment well worth a visit.

Due to Covid-19 On the Corner has been running a takeaway menu which we have had on a few occasions. The food has been lovely and piping hot, just waiting to be able to sit back inside even though it will be less tables inside I'll make sure i book early as its a favourite catch up with friends cafe.

I popped in for a takeaway and was amazed how conscious they were over covid, if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I wouldn't have believed 6but they were actually washing the money including notes to give you change,they said anything you touch has been washed,if you fancy a cuppa or a meal you can sit outside or takeaway good food too I'd go back in a heartbeat with no worries

Popped in here today with my daughter on our way home after our stay at herons retreat. We both had the cooked breakfast it was all freshly cooked and tasted amazing.I had caramel lattee and my daughter had the hot chocolate which was also very nice. The staff were very polite and helpful. Will definitely be visiting again soon with hubby so he can try the breakfast.

This should be a great place to eat. And, it could be if a few minor changes were made. The place is clean, neat and tidy. However, it can take a while for anyone to come out of the kitchen and acknowledge your presence. Comparing like with like to another establishment in nearby Afonwen, I would say that this place is the runner up. Service is slow - mainly because the staff don’t seem to be quite on the ball. Additionally, the coffee, while it is definitely milky, isn’t satisfying. It is weak and you really need an extra shot to get a good taste. I’m told the bacon butties are excellent, although I have yet tried one myself. Having said all that, it is great to see a café in Caerwys. They just need to up their game a little.

I tend to use this cafe twice a week every week as the food and service is excellent. I can only vouch for the english breakfasts and breakfast baps but if they are anything to go by then the rest of the menu will be delicious also.

This is a top place for breakfast or lunch. Great food, good value and lovely people. Well worth a visit

Went here twice whilst on holiday. Really lovely service and food. First time had a cookies and cream latte and an egg muffin with a hash brown and it was delicious. The second time I went with my family and had the drink again it was that nice and a panini. They forgot to add a few bits but as soon as I mentioned it they rectified it straight away. It has a lovely atmosphere and great that the breakfast is all day as my husband and daughter had a breakfast meal for their lunch. Will definitely return if we are in the area on holiday.

You know a place is good when it’s packed with locals. We received a lovely warm welcome and fuelled up on all-day breakfasts, tea, good coffee, and ‘rocky road’. I had a really good Slimming World style fry up. Delish! Looking forward to going back when next on the A55. Worth a diversion.

Worth the 54 mile drive just to have a Mushroom, cheese & onion Omelette. The freshest cooked Omelette ever. The staff are lovely and the cafe is very clean. Love this place.

We both had the plaice goujons and chips. Very tasty, well presented, tartare sauce and salad. Great price for this standard. Will go again when in the area.

Has become a regular meeting place for Mondays after yoga, also great for group celebrations such as the WI tea, lovely place to take the grandchildren for a drink and a cake - what's not to like? Always welcoming and cheerful staff too.

We called here a couple of times before Christmas and had their seasonal Afternoon Tea on the last visit. We took the precaution of booking a time and just as well as it was packed. We had a mixture of savoury and sweet; sandwiches, cakes and Christmas items. It kick started the holiday period very nicely.

Called with friends for a Christmas dinner......everything was beautifully cooked, and plentiful.,and everything served with a smile,plus very reasonable prices. Can't recommend highly enough. Thank You

I have recently visited this cafe twice after stumbling on it by accident on an exploratory drive around the Clwydian range. They serve good, honest food which is prepared and cooked to order. The jacket potatoes are properly cooked with lovely crisp skin. While I have had better coffee it was still very drinkable, but I am a bit of a coffee fan with high expectations! The prices are very reasonable and the service relaxed and friendly. And although I visited with friends it is somewhere that I would feel very comfortable visiting on my own.

Popped in for Breakfast when staying on a nearby holiday site. Really polite staff , place very clean and breakfast fab. Good produce and even better price . Would definitely recommend.

Nice to stop by for a coffee or lunch. Clean, small cafe in centre of Caerwys village. Basic menu that is cooked to order.

Great place to eat ..food always hot ..staff all lovely an friendly highly recommended. Very close too a55 .very easy to locate

It is situated in a small village, and not on any main road, but there was a queue for a table! That gives you a clue. Cheap, simple food well served by friendly staff, three of us ate here for a good bit under £20. Portion sizes were generous, not a huge choice, but ideal for a quick snack.

Great little find - ideal for a breakfast or light lunch, food freshly prepared. Very friendly staff and a busy cafe in this lovely rural village. Plus a really decent cup of coffee, what more could you want, ideal for a bite to eat.
