Located facing Addelshaw Tower is Old Dukes ,its a bar I've been quite a few times over the years, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit to here. I love the look of this bar, interior is superb, light and airy, lovely decor and furnishings, pub games and there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar both inside and outside, its just a really good bar to unwind in . We ordered Madri beers ,these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just kicked back and took in the great bar we were in while we sipped our beers. My beer was really good, a golden, light and hoppy lager style beer bursting with taste and very easy to drink especially when served freezing cold as in this bar, it was just so good being in such a lovely bar enjoying a quality brew and sat with my twin brother ,best beer companion in the world . We both really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time . Old Dukes is easy to locate along Bell Tower Walk. Opening hours are; Monday to Friday, open from 4pm. Saturday & Sunday, open from midday. Well worth checking out if you're in the area or planning a trip to Chester.

This little cafe has extremely good home cooked food. Can personally recommend the breakfasts and the faggots. The price is really reasonable, and will suit any budget. Highly recommended.

The Bull is a good local pub with a friendly atmosphere. It's an ideal place for meeting up with friends for a drink. Meals at lunchtime are good value for money. Bar staff are friendly and helpful.

This place is very much a locals place. Open mike night on when we visited. Not many customers Very old run down and drab. Manager was friendly enough to start but then when we had bought a drink was only interested in his locals. Drinks expensive for the type of place. Ok for one drink but no atmosphere. Wouldn’t visit again

A delightful location in a delightful village… but looks can be deceptive. Step inside and the greeting is terribly rude and unwelcoming. I wouldn’t venture in there again.

Good breakfast always staff friendly and quick serve dine in or take away . I now this place over 8 years and every time when i m in the food was very good .

We came for a Sunday lunch they were off ish about giving extra roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings for myself as I don’t eat veg my father was choking to the point I had to get up and try to dislodge the food no taste to the food and the veg was hard staff didn’t even ask if everything was ok when my dad was choking also the food and staff was awful will never go here again

Fantastic food all of my family enjoyed everything we ate here today at the flower show. The staff and organisation was 5 star. Would highly recommend this place.

We booked for sunday lunch recently. You dont really need to book as you can mainly just walk in and get a table except at the busiest times but we had one of their cards that gives 10% off if you book so we did! The carvery was our choice and I have to say it was a really lovely meal. Choice of steak pie, vegetable pie, roast beef, roast ham or chicken breast with ample supplies of roast and boiled potatoes, cauliflower cheese and a host of other veg all helped down by a tasty gravy ( with a veggie option) and a couple of tasty yorkshire puddings. Well satisfied, we were glad we hadnt had a starter although we had been tempted! The staff were so friendly and helpful and couldnt do enough for you. The surroundings have been refurbished and are pleasant and comfortable and the tables are far enough apart that you are not in everyone elses conversation. This was our first visit to Harveys but it wont be the last. Good honest tasty food, great service and very resonable prices. You should try it, they deserve to succeed in business.

We met at the Bridge for a family reunion with cousins from Ireland. The menu was more extensive than I remembered and satisfied a wide range of tastes from the traditional farmer to the aspiring artist to the teenage student. We’ll definitely be back.

Visité aquí con nuestros nietos cuando visitó las iluminaciones. Había leído críticas de antemano y decidió que sonaba bien, así que decidió probarlo. Lo positivo fue que eran amigables con los perros, la señora que sirve es muy agradable y la comida en sí era sabrosa. La razón por la que he marcado abajo a la media es doble. Mi esposa pidió su budín de carne casero, una pequeña porción de patatas fritas, salsa y una taza de té. Pedí pescado, patatas fritas medianas, curry y una taza de té. Cuando llegaron las comidas no había diferencia entre las patatas fritas pequeñas y medianas, pero en ese momento no podía molestarme en mencionarlo a la señora que nos sirve. Sin embargo, el aguijón en la cola vino con la factura. Lo que no nos habíamos dado cuenta era que este chippy hace un especial que era exactamente lo que mi esposa tenía y creo que en realidad incluía pan y mantequilla, pero nos cobraron £ 4 más por lo que tenía porque no habíamos mencionado el especial. Solo fuimos informados por otra pareja ordenándolo cuando nos íbamos. Posiblemente también hicieron un especial de pescado que habría sido mucho más barato. El especial no estaba en el menú pero lo vimos en el escaparate cuando nos íbamos! Como estaba oscuro cuando llegamos no habíamos notado nada escrito en el exterior de la ventana y realmente sentimos que la señora que nos servía debería haberlo señalado, especialmente como mi esposa lo había ordenado. En fin, comida sabrosa pero una verdadera pena que terminamos sintiendo que nos habían estafado.

The Coffee Barn is our favourite place in Uckfield. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, there's fantastic outdoor seating and it's very reasonable. We always come for the milkshakes which are delicious, good range of flavours and the children love it.

El entrante estaba muy bien presentado y delicioso (profiteroles de queso de cabra con mermelada de cebolla) El plato principal fue fantástico 'una verdadera joya' como dama Me gusta un plato Petite tres y la lubina mediterránea al horno de sal fue una delicia. Postre, final perfecto para una aventura emocionante. Sorbete de aguacate y durazno con coulis de hierba de limón.

Lovely situation and very good food. Staff are extremely friendly and efficient. We were lucky enough to have reasonable weather and we’re able to sit outside. One of the few restaurants that will actually let you book an outside table. Would definitely recommend.

Great atmosphere in art filled barn . Extremely comfortable with bright and original chairs and cushions . Delicious hot Panini and coffee ... good service and will definitely be coming back .
