I’ve just left after watching the chef mix my spaghetti with his hands. The shop is dirty, really gutted as I have been here 3 years ago snd it was great for Italian good.

Bought a coffee to go. Looks like they ve used less coffee and ran the steamer longer to make more stronger. Which creates this bitter taste. Waste of time and money. Not visiting ever again.

Dont listen to people who say this has gone downhill. The people who run this deliver piping hot, fresh and non greasy food. its spot on and in my opinion makes the others look overpriced and of lesser quality. Spot on place to eat great friendly atmosphere and always a smile. Spot on Presto...!

Since this recently changing ownership from Sam and his Italian family, this restaurant is definitely going downhill. It is apparent with the amount of people in their. This was a gold mine before with everyone working extremely hard to make it what it was. Now, staff is far lower and the food portions are much smaller. Clearly rushed food and it really shows. The bubble was like thick mush and I couldn’t eat it. I have given this 2 chances since the takeover but sadly this will be my last. Doubtful you’ll see this cafe in a years time unless they up their game and serve quality food at the portion size it used to be. A real shame ☹️

My 7 year son and i are always on the look out for a new cafe to try on a Saturday after football training. Brilliant service, nice atmosphere. Food is VERY nice, prices are very good and portions can be argued with. Def worth a pop down to Lower Halliford.

Great cafe open from early to late lunch Monday to Saturday. Aside from the great food, see below, you can park up easily outside and dive in. I stop there on the way to LHR for a good English (but cafe is owned by Italians) breakfast and builders tea. Lunch menu is excellent with a range of Italian and English dishes at very reasonable prices, Well worth a stop. In the same very handy parade of shops you can find a mini supermarket, newsagent and gents hairdresser. A bit like the West End in Upper Halliford!

Sam's 'caff' is our favourite place to skip along to for a quick, bad-for-you, delicious fry-up. It's got an extensive and varied menu (including Italian if you like it) with lovely things like black pudding and bubble-and-squeak, a variety of omelettes cooked to your taste, and my only quarrel with the food is Sam bridles at the mere idea of streaky bacon. The prices are remarkably low. In good weather you can eat outside... And you'll want to because I have to say, it tends to be extremely noisy indoors when all the lorry-drivers are in.

We have been using this great family run cafe for a while, great working breakfast, relaxed mid week lunches, and Mrs has brought our daughter in law to sample the exellent pasta on a girls day out. Today is our wedding anniversary so after a slow start to the day we have come in for brunch Great food as usual, can't think why I have not reviewed it sooner. I love to support a family run local business, long may they continue to provide excellent service.

As usual, reliable breakfast - get what you pay for! The popularity of this place is evidenced by the queue - first class and very east to recommend!

This café is great for a really good full English breakfast. They do many options and lots of add ons including bubble and squeak. The portions are really big and the coffee is good too. They also do salads and main meals including pasta and meatballs (very large portions). Service is with a smile an all-round good experience.

We always go to this cafe when we are in the area - great value, great choice and spotlessly clean food.... consistent and reliable in terms of service and quality. The food is nicely cooked and good quality (you can tell by the colour of the yolk of the egg and the lack of fat on the bacon!) The staff are professional and in terms of atmosphere, the fact that it is regularly full of tradesmen is a good indication of the quality! First Rate! Love this place for breakfast.
