Harvey's Bar & Dining in Falkirk

We booked for sunday lunch recently. You dont really need to book as you can mainly just walk in and get a table except at the busiest times but we had one of their cards that gives 10% off if you book so we did! The carvery was our choice and I have to say it was a really lovely meal. Choice of steak pie, vegetable pie, roast beef, roast ham or chicken breast with ample supplies of roast and boiled potatoes, cauliflower cheese and a host of other veg all helped down by a tasty gravy ( with a veggie option) and a couple of tasty yorkshire puddings. Well satisfied, we were glad we hadnt had a starter although we had been tempted! The staff were so friendly and helpful and couldnt do enough for you. The surroundings have been refurbished and are pleasant and comfortable and the tables are far enough apart that you are not in everyone elses conversation. This was our first visit to Harveys but it wont be the last. Good honest tasty food, great service and very resonable prices. You should try it, they deserve to succeed in business.

Situated on the edge of Grangemouth auld Town, we both visited this mostly locals dining and drinking establishment, the decor is cosy/comfy, and for a rather cold night well heated, which is always a plus, the toilets could have done with a brighten up, but we're clean enough, probably best described as a good place to go if you and your partner fancy something to eat, drink, and a bit relaxation, found the bar staff attentive and efficient.

Stopped off with family for lunch and it was so disappointing. Garlic bread burnt. Steak pie arrived way after everyone else was served and it was freezing. Sent back and it wa reheated and still cold. When I said a out the issue they said it was probably the metsl dish,!!! Hovever no manager came to explain. And they still charged full price. Not happy at all and lunch with visitors was ruined.

Arrived with the family for lunch a little before 12. Checked the website and it said they opened at 12 so after waiting until after 12.10 and the doors were still locked we left and had an enjoyably lunch at one of the other venues in the area.

I visited a while back with my friend for dinner and we both had a fabulous meal. I'm always wary of leaving a review after just one visit in case it was just a "good night". I visited again for lunch with my husband and I definitely wasn't disappointed! My husband said that the macaroni cheese is the best he has ever had, and his burger looked so moist and tender. My chimichanga was packed with chicken and vegetables. The waiter was so friendly and fun, there was a wee bit of a wait for our food but I feel that it reassuring that it is being cooked fresh and was proved right. The food was absolutely delicious and well worth waiting for. So glad we didn't order starters as we were stuffed from the mains alone. Can't wait to return again soon.

The moment has traditionally food for a bar/restaurant but it has focused on Mexican and their chicken burrito is delicious, also great onion rings. Will definitely be back.

We came here for the first time last week and absolutely loved it. We had a look at the online menu before we went and had decided what we were going to have. This changed when we seen the specials board and sharing platters. We had the sharing platter to start with which had all of my favorite things on it. Halloumi fries, haggis bites, blackpudding bites, macaroni cheese and chips. The macaroni is amazing! it really is one of the nicest I've tasted, it is even better than my own!! The only problem we had was that we were both quite full and still had our main courses to go. Main courses were lovely too although most of mine came home with me and I had it for lunch the following day. Service was quick and waitress friendly and attentive. We will definitely return. Please don't take the sharing platter off the menu before we do! I'm having one to myself next time!!

Waiting staff friendly & attentive. Food on other hand very poor. Ordered 2 starters of chicken wings & found them both raw in middle. Fish tacos had clumps of cheddar cheese in them & was more like crumbs of fish. Was offered free desert & starter taken off bill but waited that long on order being taken we left. My starter looked nothing like the way it’s advertised on here & weren’t in a creamy sauce. Won’t be back I’m afraid.

Came for a meal with family and friends food was excellent and service . Restaurant was really clean and staff very friendly will definitely return

Probably the worst meal out weve had in years ! Would have been better goin to Wetherspoons! Waiter was pleasant but unfortunately got the food order wrong ! How hard is it to write down 2 adult steak pies with chips, 1 kids chicken bites and 1 macaroni !! Steak pie was luke warm at best , totally tasteless , kids chicken bites were greasy and the macaroni had obviously been thrown in a microwave to be reheated !! Bowl that it was 'served ' in was piping hot . Bit of tomatoe sauce on top and my 4 year old was happy so at least 1 of the 4 of us ate lol 4 staff on and not once were we approached to see if we were happy. Poor poor service and we wont be back

Me and my husband we recommend to try Harvey's and it was a huge disappointment i ordered nachos to start and they were so salty no salsa or sour cream just giant nachos ,then came dinner described on menu as hand cut chips they were 5 times cooked dry and crunchy ,my veggie burger wasnt homemade neither and very greasy I will never eat there again

Stopped here on the way to see the Kelpies. Good choice on the menu and was served quick and was well cooked. Staff were very helpful. Would recommend.

We ate two night time meals here and they were excellent. The barman Craig was excellent both with managing everything and entertaining us.

We stayed at the hotel thru Airbnb and that was good. We ate at the restaurant and it was amazingly great. We stayed and had drinks at the bar and I must say that Craig was awesome. He shared great knowledge with recipes and drink...

Loved my food it was amazing best place in falkirk area would recommend to all my friends and family can't wait to be back x

Lovely fresh food at great prices the lunch menu as you can see from pictures was delicious and plenty of choice.very friendly staff.and dog friendly.will definitely be back.
