The customer service was very good and there was a choice of indoor and outdoor seating. The cafe discourages people using laptops. Looked to be a good selection of cakes and drinks. The lunches we saw looked good quality but there are cheaper lunches available in Uckfield. We would us it again.

Coffee is good but the rest was disappointing. Menu is nothing special , uninspiring , and expensive for what you get. Unlikely to go there again.

I really wanted to love it. Decor fab, staff friendly. Sadly not impressed with food ordered. £9.50 for the “Special” Cajun chicken wrap - consisted of 4 small pieces of chicken, dash of iceberg, blob of Hellmans bbq sauce. Please take this off of the menu. It’s a joke. Seemed to lack some quality control here. More wrap than filling. Other sandwiches ordered okay but really not worth the £10-11 price tag. Looks like a great place to meet for a coffee and a bit of cake.

Our first visit here, whilst visiting Uckfield for the weekend. Lovely welcome from the staff. They were pretty busy but they’d checked that we’d be happy with a brief wait. Lovely lunch in a glorious building. Will be back when next in the area.

Encountered 5 members of staff on our brief visit - only one smiled to greet us. The girl serving was abrupt to the point of being rude. Coffee was ok but the lack of customer service would deter us from going back.

The entire menu at coffee barn is one of the best examples of quality food and ingredients you could find. This topped with the impeccable service, makes this café a must go to. The interior is so inviting and makes you feel welcome. Your visit will be the first of many.

We were looking for somewhere for lunch and found the Coffee Barn. There is a great choice of hot and cold snacks/meals and also cakes, scones, and sausage rolls. We both had toasted sandwiches which were tasty and served with a salad garnish. The coffee is good (including decaf). The staff were friendly and efficient and there is a nice atmosphere. Would definitely visit again if we were in the area.

I have visited here many times with my partner. It’s our favourite cafe to go to in town. Sometimes we just pop by for a drink and a slice of cake- which we would highly recommend, wide range of choices. Classic Victoria sponge cake, lemon and blueberry cake, coffee and walnut cakes are all a hit! As well as their giant chocolate chip cookies are delicious! When we visited here on Friday we had lunch. Wide range of choices on the menu and there is always a special menu provided too. Today one of the specials was a toasted bagel with Emmental cheese, ham, lettuce, tomato and mustard mayo served with a side salad. It was so scrumptious we wanted more! It was something different and something we wouldn’t usually go for and we were glad we did. The barn is so lovely and the decor is beautifully designed inside and outside seating is available they have a lovely terrace great sunshine spot!! The staff are every so friendly which is great. We would highly recommend this place. Go on try it!

First visit and now our favourite cafe in town and surrounding area. Had a lovely lunch on the terrace in warm sunshine. Bit of a sun trap and nice to be away from the busy main road! Friendly staff and a warm welcome. Food was so good.

We sat on the decking behind the barn, which is lovely and far enough away from the traffic noise to be peaceful. The menu consists mainly of sandwiches and Toasties which they can do with gluten-free bread (Genius) for £1 extra. This seems a bit too much to add on, especially given that the Genius loaf slices are smaller than the non-gluten-free option, therefore using less filling. The side salad I had with the tuna melt toastie was limp and gritty, as though it hadn’t been thoroughly washed. If the owners are bothered about attracting more people with a gluten intolerance/allergy, I would recommend offering a better quality bread as there are many tastier options on the market than Genius. You can also keep the loaves frozen to minimise waste as these can be defrosted easily in a toaster. One of the staff told me that they only get through one or max two gluten-free loaves a week as demand is low, however, perhaps people with gluten intolerance have been put off going back, and if there were more options, there would be more demand!

We went today for lunch. What a lovely place! Been greeted by the owner upon arrival. Been served by a very polite and pleasant young man. Sandwiches were nicely presented and tasty. Both mocha and double espresso were amazing! Word of an Italian ;) I also had a raspberry cake and a croissant to take away. I was told that all the pastries are made there. We will definitely go back!

What a brilliant find this place was for a light lunch! Was busy, which is a good sign, but 3 of us seated no problem without booking. Made very welcome and waiting staff very attentive and polite. Had probably one of the nicest Flat Whites ever (perfect heat, espresso flavour and measure) and simple but very tasty, well presented food - especially the Toffee Apple cake for afters! Good value for money. Ambience perfect too with spacious seating and lots of natural light. Will definitely be back!

Popped in for a coffee whilst in the area for business. Charming little place. I simply wanted to mention this place as the flat white I had was a great, great cup of coffee. If only other coffee shops could provide similar quality.

We were looking for a reasonably price place to have lunch and found The wishing well on Tripadvisor. We loved the informal garden and it was dog friendly. But the menu offered door step sandwiches which were fantastic served with nice fresh salad leaves. Then we finished with a slice of homemade cake which was fantastic. Definitively returning to this little gem of a tea room.

It's always nice to find a cozy pub which is so accommodating of gluten free. Most of their menu items could be offered as gluten free which was such a treat. I had a lovely fish and chips followed by a chocolate honeycomb pudding.
