Pleasant early dinner as we had to have an early night for travel next day - staff very helpful and took good care of us - maybe as we were first in that evening! Food came hot and quickly - good lentil soup and onion...

Second visit to The Giggling Squid in Winchester. Last time the service was poor but the food was excellent. This time the food and the service were poor. The beef was dry and tough as old boots.

Sambol Shiok is another Malaysian restaurant, hence tried it just to tick the box. When I was browsing the menu, I was in despair and wanted to leave because there were not many non spicy options. The only thing you could choose was the fried chicken and a side of rice which is a bit sad as they didn't even have lasi nemak or something like that. Prices of drinks were as if they were coming from cocktail mixologists. Tried the chicken curry laksa and penang assam laksa. First off both laksas were super spicy but lacked depth, it was just heat and that was it. The noodles in the curry laksa were too soft and the chicken was dry and not fresh as it had some funny taste to it as if it was left overnight. The penan assam laksa came with a spoon of shrimp paste which was weirdly sweet. Last but not least the pandan Americano didn't have the faintest taste of pandan.

I had a good experience. Huge menu including dosa, rice, noodles and more. Good place for those who follow a vegetarian diet. Clean. Like a canteen, diner, type place. The lady who served me was pleasant and friendly. I had the MYSORE MASALA DOSA which was a crepe coated inside with mysore chutney and stuffed with potato masala with a mango lassi. Both were delicious. Very filling and tasty. The lassi could have been a little colder but lovely otherwise. The dosa came with the usual condiments. Very reasonably priced. Would recommend.

It's very sad to say their behaviour with customers is very bad. Especially there is a middle aged guy who behaved with us like his servant. They should go to school for learning how to talk with their clients.

Fixed price menu eat all you can evenings. Variety is very good with dishes from Malaysia, China, Japan and elsewhere. All food is fresh and well presented and drinks are reasonable too.

Excellent. We have eaten here on several occasions, and never been disapointed. Food is excellent, staff are friendly and helpful and service was first class. The Clay Oven does not have a drinks license so bringing your own wine / beer makes it a very economical night out

Chilli’s is a reliable local restaurant that never fails to deliver authentic food and excellent service. Perfect for a quiet dinner or a group. Unfailingly polite and attentive service, altogether a lovely experience.

Foods are delicious and Ann the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Very happy service we will be back soon again thank you again for the service

we went there february, very bad experience. quite dirty and horrible service. i would not recommend this restaurant.

Highly disappointed with the service and quality of the food. The staff were unfriendly and not particularly helpful. No one was smiling or even trying to be friendly to the customers. The food left me with a stomach ache and some nausea. Often this is a sign of the quality of ingredients or cooking oils. I would think twice before coming here.

Haven’t been in a while and I thought the food was really nice. Does not deserve the rating it currently has. I’d definitely return now. If you fancy something different to Italian give this a go.

My good friend actually went there, not me, to buy some 'Matilda' cake as a Birthday present for me. It was sooooo delicious, we shared it, and there is still plenty left for another day. Happy to recommend 😁
