food was absolutely vile chios dried up asked for plain noodles came looking like dry pot noodles shredded chicken was dried up and not in sauce special chow mean had no prawns in food had no taste whatsoever all of it went in the bin

Chicken was chewy and not the food was not very nice. Did not end eating this food. Inedible

Food was lovely however it took over 2 hours to get to us! I had to ring up twice, firstly they told us the food was on its way (only ten minutes down the road) then waited another half an hour to ring again and she said it is nearly here! When it arrived the delivery driver apologised and told us that the owner has to wait for a few orders to come in in our area to send it out for delivery, that is not acceptable, how can I get a refund because there is not option?! Disappointing!

So delicious, and the portion sizes are great for the value for money! I've had food from here a few times and I've been impressed every time. I was sad to see the reviews aren't better because the food is excellent. We collected our food, so can't say anything about the delivery, but I definitely recommend it here. Love the sweet and sour chicken and the Royal Grand duck. Thank you.

Food took 2.5 hrs to be delivered. Website stated 1.5 hrs. Food was cold on arrival. Very disappointing. When I called the takeaway they said they only had one driver. However, order was accepted even though they knew they wouldn't be able to deliver on time.

Ordered at 730pm through their own website. Food still hadn't arrived at 930pm after the website said 80mins delivery time. Called at 930pm to be told that they only had 1 driver and my order would be another 30mins. No apology or refund for delivery. Food was cold when it arrived. Very disappointing.

I ordered online at 20.20pm,my "estimated" delivery time was between 21:45pm and 22:05pm..we waited,and waited AND WAITED....in the end I phoned royal grand up at around 21:30pm and 21:35pm and asked where our order was.. After 25-30 seconds of shouting I heard in the background,the lady who answered the phone,and put me on hold a minute,came back to the phone and said "it's coming now"...after anoylther 20 minutes,the food EVENTUALLY arrived.. this was 22:55pm..I was close to telling the delivery driver to take the food back,and to tell the restaurant to "shove it",but we had waited that long,we were hungry! I did question him as to WHY was it SOOOOOO LATE

Ordered from here after our usual one changed hands and isn’t as good and well it was amazing - portion sizes huge, ribs were amazing. All very very good. Our new regular Chinese

I placed a preorder at 3am for 5:50pm the next day and the said it was cooking then cancelled it 40 minutes before it was meant to be delivered!!! This is a joke!!!

Our preferred Chinese in the village we do tend to collect as delivery can take a while.

It's not as nice as some others we've had. The waiting area was cold. The lady who was serving us was wrapped up like she was in an expedition to the South Pole.

Took ages to find a number to get through to restaurant, order was due at 20.15, telephoned restaurant at 21.00 and was told it would be about half hour. No apologies, will not use this place again

Used these a lot was always good but after waiting 2 and a half hours for a delivery with no update apart from when I contacted them to see where it was when they told me they would be 10 minutes and were another 50 minutes I will NOT be ordering again terrible service

Didn’t even deliver in end as we had been eating over an hour and a half and chased up twice so went to collect. Shame as the food was lovely but won’t be ordering again!

Food was well over an hour late being delivered, all food was soggy and cold as it had been sat in a car for over an hour - we know this as called the restaurant and was told it was out for delivery an hour before it turned up but that the driver had had car trouble! No apology was given on the phone and staff were quite rude and abrupt

Food was an hour late. Everytime i rang it was in the bag ready to go. The food turned up and it was warm to cold. It didnt taste great either so went in bin. They said it was because of the shortness of drivers. To me they should of stopped taking orders if they cant get them out the door. Simple

the delivery driver was polite and on time, the food was very disappointing, the chips were re heated, the curry was watery and lacking flavour, onions un cooked the rest was just ok, we ordered £49 worth of food, we won’t be ordering from them again

We'd pretty much stopped using the royal grand as the food was getting worse every time, but yesterday 7/10/22 we tried again... Wow!! What a fantastic meal, I don't know what has changed but it was back to how it used to be a few years ago, great mix of actual Chinese food instead of just green pepper and onions! Really really enjoyed it, let's hope it continues to improve and carry on with the better quality food 😊 Sadly not... It's just back to onions and garlic and peppers in most dishes, and at well over two hours on a delivery I don't think we'll be using it again 14/10/2023 it's gone down hill in the past few months

I can’t recommend this takeaway enough. The food is absolutely delicious and it’s full of meat and not just stuffed with veg like some. It’s hot, it’s fresh, it’s full of flavour and the portions are really generous! The service is brilliant, they are so helpful and catered to a large order for us for a birthday and everything was perfect! Best around!!!!!

8 years we’ve been getting our take aways here. The best satay and salt and pepper chips I’ve ever had! Since moving we can no longer get delivery to auckley but it’s worth the drive.

Genuinely the best Chinese I’ve had in my life - we got a mixture of food, and it was all incredible, especially the salt and pepper chicken, and the crispy wontons - 100% recommend!!! Xoxo

Ordered several times and can honestly say we've not had a bad Meal. Saturday we ordered 8 or 9 dishes, all hot, tasty and filling. An item was missed from the original order and after a quick phone call, the missing dish was delivered. Great service, will continue to use them.

Usually really good for delivery times from here but was over 45min late! Food wasn't overly hot either. Such a shame

I usually order from here frequently, however I will not be ordering from this takeaway again. The sweet and sour chicken came cold, hard and the sauce was jelly like, the whole dish was inedible. Absolutely gutted because I’ve never had a problem with them before but this has put me off. And to top it off just eat are refusing a refund of the dish. Disgusting!

Extremely poor an estimated delivery time of 50 mins and 2 hours 20 mins later order was received. Will be my last order to this restaurant.

We ordered the Salt and pepper munch box and satay chicken skewers which were both truly terrible. Had to fish around in the box looking for edible pieces which were still only just passable. Do not know how this managed to leave the kitchen and only more than 2hrs after we ordered it and 15mins after the latest delivery time stated. Just a shocking poor experience and won’t be returning

Ordered at 19:15 arrived at 21:45. Rang restaurant several times, didn't really apologise or try and make things better. Currently very pregnant so delay of food and eating so late in the evening is not great. Quality of food on arrival was good.

Do not bother. We used to order here all the time but stopped when we realised our local was better. The problem is our local is cash only and we had a few beverages and no cash- we ordered here. 2 hours to wait and horrible. Never ever again

As always food and service from takeaway was great. I pre ordered as we were working...so whilst an early delivery is a good thing usually it isnt always.BUT the issue I have was it was left on the doorstep... this is hot food ordered for a specific time for a reason. As usual the just eat app doesn't tell you when out for delivery or even when delivered unlike other apps. As it happened I had just arrived home but to "press the bell and run" without making sure someone is home if you are early especially isn't great service. Tempted not to pay upfront in future as they wouldn't just leave it then. Such as shame as I had to keep it warm as my husband wasn't home its never the same doing that hence ordering for specific times or at very least update status in app so people are aware

Salt and pepper chicken wings were beautiful. Portions too much but I wouldn't complain about that

A slightly longer wait than I anticipated for the time I ordered. Ordered at 17:40 and didn’t get my food until 19:20. Having said that the food was lovely when it came.

Ordered a selection of food to be delivered at 8pm and it came right on time. Pretty much all the food was delicious, hot and plentiful apart from the 2 x spring rolls which were like nothing I'd had before. (Flat fried pastry and goey filling.) They didn't effect the meals and we were very happy with the rest of our order. Definately recommend this takeaway and will use again (minus spring rolls).

Edited my rating it's gone very down hill.. I won't be coming back. Also it says 5 star food hygiene on the window but it is a 3 online. I eat at Heaven now and you can watch them cook it.

food tasted like the same oil had been reused a lot on all the crispier dishes and the chips were very cardboardy , thai green curry was the only decent dish. chow mein was soggy and the noodles were all in bits, wouldn’t order again.

This is the worst service I’ve ever received. I ordered this just before 20:00 it arrived just before 22:00. After it was estimated at less than an hour! Had to ring the takeaway twice. Was told it was on the way first time. Rang back after 30 minutes to be told it was now on it’s away. Arrived 25 minutes later. It had clearly never been on its way. Probably not even cooked until I rang the second time. Not worth the wait or the cost.

Absolutely disgusted that after two hours of no order arriving I had to phone up to hear the conversation in the background stating my order hadn’t even been cooked yet. This isn’t the first time I’ve had to wait this long for an order from this restaurant. I understand busy times but to find out my order hadn’t even been cooked after two hours was extremely disappointing. I definitely won’t be ordering from here again. No apologies were made and nothing was offered as an apology to make up for the extensive wait.
