Bombay spice in Bassetlaw

Take away was tasteless. Expensive and very disappointing. It was late arriving and cold. Currys had no taste. Poppadoms were the best part of the meal. Would not recommend

“Our local” … Went to collect order for family meal as unable to attend restaurant. Warm friendly welcome from staff as always. Large order completed accurately and in a very timely manner. Food was cooked very well, tasty and spicy according to dish. All accompanying side dishes cooked well. Portion sizes good. Enjoyed by all. Guaranteed a returned visit as yet again not disappointed with quantity or quality of food. Definitely worth a visit.

Have they changed chefs ordered tikka masala normally gorgeous but no flavour also keema nan wasn’t as good as normal and onion bahji were over cooked. Normally ok but this was dreadful ended up throwing half of meal away

The food was late and was cold, the chicken korma was delivered with a piece of sharp plastic in that I reported but they refused to give a refund even though me and my daughter could not eat the food as it was clearly not prepared properly. Will never order from here again

Lovely food. Fast delivery. Very enjoyable

The Lamb was very dry and chewy. Sauce was quite watery and very small portions. Wouldn’t order again

Orderd a chicken tikka makhani but was given a special bombay curry which wasn't very nice or not to my taste. Shame as I have always guven positive reviews perhaps its time to go somewhere else.

Fantastic tasting food but due to lateness of delivery food was lukewarm at best

The last 2 orders have been delivered incomplete. Both times led to over an hour's wait resulting in inedible and cold food. How hard is it to make a cheese nan? It seems that this establishment knows how to ruin a Saturday night for someone who is away from their family during the week with work. I will definitely be thinking twice before ordering again.

Food cold and old and only received half of order and charged for it

I had burnt onions and tomatoe, black bits in my curry, cold rice. Not enjoyably at all, we also had chips I think someone forgot to warm them up. Won't reorder from here

Delivery was late, a meal was missing, the missing meal when delivered was the wrong one, food and naan bread were tepid and chicken tikka masala was so salty couldn’t even eat it. Phoned to complain to be told to report through just eat, take some responsibility and sort it, poor service, put the phone down when called and then don’t even answer when called back, disgusting meal that cost £45, never going to use Bombay Spice ever again.

Very disappointed in that there was NO Garlic Nan bread and no mint onion delivered. Food that was delivered was great. Please check that all items ordered are delivered next time Please

Used to be our favourite Indian. But the last few orders have been very poor. Items missing, burnt/dry naan, smaller portion sizes. Not sure what has happened recently but has really gone downhill

Always order my Indian from here and usually it’s on time and delicious, unfortunately the last few times I’ve ordered from here the food has been over an hour late and missing items. When I call the restaurant to see how long my order is going to be I’m always told “it’s on its way” and then still takes another 20+ minutes to arrive

Shocking never again, even the delivery lady couldn’t apologise enough ordered at 7pm delivered at 20:40pm.

Ordered food at 19:00 and it arrived at 21:00 and the food was cold. Not happy

Poor cold food waited 50 minutes called re husbands nut allergy also and live 5 minutes away from restaurant

Very spicy, and tasted different from usual. (Not in a nice way) Portions were much smaller than normal, rice missing. Very disappointed, won’t order from here again.

Our order didn't arrive until about 8.45pm! I took 90 mins from ordering the food. Given we had young children eating as well it wasn't acceptable and some of the food was cold. A refund would be appreciated. Thank you.

The food that was delivered was Excellent. The food that wasn’t delivered- mint onion & garlic Nan bread was very disappointing on a single person order! Please double check your orders before you send them out!

Best curry we've had locally for a long time. First time ordered from here but now our new favourite.

Good hot food as always, very tasty. If I had to give a minor criticism it was that the onion bhaji was a little dry, but tasty none the less. Wouldn't hesitate to order again, as we have done many times.

Only Indian we order from as normally spot on however tonight, our food was cold so ended up reheating in microwave. Also cakes were put in the same bag as the hot food which led the cakes to being warm.

Kept being told it was on the way and would be minutes but was infact 45 mins late with the excuse the driver was lost. How it arrived burning hot having driven round over half an hour is a mystery!

Normally when ordering from here we can’t fault it but unfortunately tonight the rice was very mushy, not like it normally has been and the pakoras were very greasy

The food was good, but I ordered large bottle of Diet Coke because I have diabetes and they give me normal Coke which I can not drink, and they drove off before I could catch them, I can not phone them because I am profoundly deaf in both ears, it cost me 3.20 not happy about this, I do not think they read the order properly because they rush everything.

came cold and also missing items

Well, I was really looking forward to this and being strapped for cash me and my partner thought we would allow a treat. Tried somewhere new but didn’t pay off for us. Very mediocre at best. Balti was ok but not the best. The Bombay ‘king’ prawn dish was not to standard. Prawns were not king prawn and not the delux dish you’d expect for nearly £12! Sadly quite disappointed and wish we’d saved our money.

Always spot on went a little bit of the boil last month but back to how it was beautiful food

I ordered a chicken madras and it was quite bland no flavour at all just heat the rice also had zero flavour. The naans where ok but they could be a little bigger. Wasn’t worth the money.

The delivery was late but the driver did apologise. The food was ok but we felt it wasn’t as tasty as previous times. My chicken korma wasn’t as creamy and my hubby’s lamb rogan josh was more gluppy. Not as much onion and tomato.

The food was amazing it only the second time we have order but it will not be the last thank you for a lovely meal

Too many onions! Plain rice should be plain. Just plain, no onions. Consequently, there were onions in the korma too. Missed something off the order too.

Lovely tasting hot food delivered early. Only gripe is missed bag of chopped onion for pickle tray. Otherwise all very good.

Very nice apart from the Chicken Biryani which was completely tasteless.

I had pasanda, it was really really salty, so scraped the sauce off and just ate the chicken. Husband had dopiaza which he enjoyed.

Korma tasted like a cheap frozen microwaved meal, rice was dry and top layer was literally crispy, naan wasn’t cooked properly and pakoras had a 5mm deep pool of oil in the bottom of the container! Rang up with the issues and they just wanted to send another out when no I want my money back as the food went straight in the bin and they just respond take it up with just eat who are being equally as difficult as the restaurant is! Joke of restaurant!
