The Chutney in Southwark

Used to a be great local take-away with fast delivery and great service. Gone downhill since it started working with Just Eat and other delivery partners. Really sad to see the decline or what was a proper local business.

naan was perfect, as was the rice and masala. the roti however was barely edible. very tough, difficult to chew and to tear apart with hands or teeth. It would be better if it was soft and tender.

Was very sad to be sent 3 bags of stinking old onions and the side salads were yellow and warm and old and inedible... not to usual standard at all, lots of grizzly meat to be spat put too!! Shocked !! Its very important to me to eat fresh food

I can not praise the team in chutney enough, I made a mistake when ordering and they corrected it for me once I’d let them know, fantastic food and fantastic customer service.

Really good authentic food, indian and bengali too, reasonably priced and some of the best you’ll find in south-london, recommended !!!

Ordered online, never got the order because it took 1.5 hours before ubereats let me cancel it. The driver waited in the restaurant for almost an hour so it wasn’t about the delivery.

Best Indian food delivery in South London, fast delivery, consistently good food & good value. We have ordered from here for the past 3-4 years on a weekly basis with no issues. Sorry but I don’t understand the bad reviews. Maybe reviewers should try some of others in the area… they will be far more disappointed elsewhere..

Great service, great food, well worth the price.

Food was alright. But had an unexpected call from the driver 10 minutes before delivery saying I had to pay an extra £2:50 because it’s over a 3 mile radius but they’ve delivered to us before with no problem.

Hoping the food matches the quality of the service , placed order and just over 20 minutes later( estimated time 1 hour) was delivered by a really nice guy who was warm and friendly ! Fantastic service .

Curry was delicious, as well as rice naan and fresh popodoms however, my onion bhaji were over cooked so were quite challenging to eat but did taste nice

food was not cooked, korma was watery and the sauce had split. chicken was not cooked in both the korma and the tikka masala, paratha was greasy and tasted weird and the poppadoms were oily and so salty, was the worst Indian ever, did not eat it and ended up in the bin. obviously came early coz they didn't cook it properly.

We have been ordering food from here now for 5+years. Never had a complaint. We tried many dishes. All good. The Goa style mixed and the vindaloo are our favourite along with the chicken pakura peshawar nan,and everything else we have eaten. P.s. order direct and give a decent tip. You'll get top service.

This place is the ultimate rip-off. Food portions are absolutely tiny, the meat is very, very poor quality and the side dishes could fit on a postage stamp. My paratha (flour and water) cost £3.50 and was totally cold. I shared a meal with my wife and she sent me out for a Chinese after we had finished it! One star for the food, zero stars for the rip-off prices/portions and a very generous two stars for my wife.

Portion size was a let down for the price. Food taste ok.

All of the food I ordered was nice but the chicken curry that came with the set meal wasn't nice, had a strange consistency and tasted more like a curry you'd get from a Chinese. The rest of the food was nice though, peshwari nan and the tandoori chicken was lovely and thier sauces.

I appreciate it was a Saturday night and it was very busy but 2 hours between ordering and receiving food was too long - time quoted for delivery was 1 hour - 1 hour 15 minutes - should have let me know it was going to be late. Food was good quality, tasty & interesting - Naga Murgh Goa & Bangladeshi Green Lamb Jalfrezi delicious - Bombay Potatoes & Mushroom Rice tasty & Nan Fluffy. Displayed discount made meal good value - overall I can understand why it was so busy!!

After a misunderstanding the top man Miah called me back and sorted everything out. So 100% for the service and 100% for the food, especially the Bengali Fried Fish, which is delicious. Any problems, ask for Miah - he knows about customer service.

The best 👌 our favourite , over the last 10 years I've tried every other place between herne hill and east dulwich ( all lordship Lane is rubbish belive it or not )but they just don't get the madras on point , we're loyal to the chutney now 100%

I ordered two chicken curry tonight and extra curry sauce with a nann bread when it came there was hardly no curry sauce me and my gramps had to take out some rice so we had sauce when I phoned the shop they guy was telling me he's there is extra sauce but I think it's just ignorance on there side because he wouldn't replace the two Currys. So people be careful of this place they will not replace there mistake it's always next time when we got to give them money don't brother hear go elsewhere trust me

Ordered from here this evening..... Chicken tikka masala, rice, bombay aloo & naan bread. With in the last hour iv been on the toilet and being sick at the same time. DISGUSTING! NEVER AGAIN!

Yummy, just what my tummy needed!

The order had items missing . Was told they would bring it but they never did. Had family over for special occasion and the meal was ruined by being incomplete. Food was very average. Some guests didn’t have enough to eat as it wasn’t delivered

The food was lovely but the samosa were two tiny and not much flavour and soggy not crispy so I won’t order those again the vindaloo was on point lovely and sagaloo lovely they don’t always put the onion salad in and when they did there was hardly any onion in it also the stuffed parather was not stuffed with nothing apart from parley or coriander and it was a little Doey but I would order from here again just some pointers to note so hopefully they can fix them or I just won’t order those items . Food was clean and delivery was a little to quick

Very tasty food and plenty of it. The vegetable dish was particularly good.

The food was basic. we ordered a dal makhani, and it wasn't dal makhni... I am sure it might work with people who don't know what they are eating but I just doubt the credibility of the restaurant.
