Yesterday we ordered a deliveroo delivery from Thai corner cafe in east dulwich as we have done for years. Food is always great but yesterday the food arrived two hours to late. When we rang to ask the line was disconnected and from thereon an answering service replied. Please get your act together this was disastrous service.

This has been here almost as long as we’ve been in East Dulwich and now offers online booking so we finally got here. Starters range from £5-£8 and mains from £12-£18. It’s BYOB with a corkage charge or tea and soft drinks are on the menu. Tea was a reasonable £2 a pot, a small bottle of water - chilled and with ice £3 so more spent on drinks than expected in the warm weather. Service was friendly and the whole feel of the place was a café not a restaurant - that’s no surprise as it’s what it is. Food was ok but nothing special for us. Spring rolls were crispy and the filling hot (temperature) with a slight chilli kick. We prefer a more stew like Massaman curry. The menu was large and all the food was well cooked. If we return we’ll try some of their stir fried dishes - given the limitations of the kitchen these might be a better option. Note this is cash only.

Food - not authentic at all. The taste just has a standard of take away Chinese food; definitely need to maintain the quality of food. The place is small and they take all reservations in so it is incredibly crowded. Need to pay with cash which is also not comfortable for customers. Quite disappointed.

Really fancied some fresh and nicely spicy food tonight. And that is what we got. My son thought his massamam was the best he ever had. High praise. But actually was good. And you can’t but be happy with the cheap corkage fees. Only cash but no prob with cash points nearby.

I’ve always had a good experience when dining at this restaurant but on this occasion the service was just terrible! From the moment my friend and I arrived the person was not welcoming and shouted out across the restaurant for the booking name. Once we had sat down she couldn’t tell us quick enough that she need the table back by 8:30pm. We had literally just sat down! Our server was unfriendly, miserable and had zero customer service skills. The food was still of a good standard and tasty but the bad service and fact we couldn’t pay by card has completely put me off dining there again. What a shame as it used to be a very good place :-(

We booked for 8 of us but when one of us got there they had recorded our booking properly. She insisted that we were in the wrong so one of us showed her our booking online to show it wasn't our mistake. The owner begrudgingly then made space for us without even apologising or making me feel welcome. The service was quite slow after that, and the owner bought the food out she curtly announced the dishes without a smile and got impatient when one of us didn't remember the name of the dish we had had ordered. All in all the customer service was terrible and I wouldn't return here. It's a shame as I like to support local business but we were not made to feel welcome.

Food was alright but too salty. Soy sauce is not a substitute for flavour, chef. We both had Pad Kee Mao, and it's the first time I go in a Thai restaurant and the noodles are curly like from out of the packet. Not fresh egg ones. Sad. Starters were too small for the price and not tasty enough. Ambient is too lit. Should dim it down to create an atmosphere. Service was good, but as soon as you put a thing down, they remove it... A bit too present. I need a bit more space in a restaurant. And being cash only in 2022? It's sign of one thing only...

I called before ordering to ask if they could make a green curry NOT spicy and was told emphatically that yes, that would be fine if I left the instructions on Deliveroo. The curry arrives... spicy (around 6/10). This is what happens when I call back: 1. He tells me I didn't put instructions on delivery (I definitely did). 2. He says there's nothing he can do about chilli being in the paste. Fair enough, but that's why I called in the first place to find out if the dish could be made without the chilli/spice. 3. He tells me "how am I supposed to know if you're going to find the food spicy". Surely if you know there is chilli in the ingredients, it's probably going to be spicy! 4. He says he can't do anything about it. I ask if he can send something not spicy, like Pad Thai. He says no because he has no drivers (I live 3 mins bike ride away). At no point was any apology offered. In fact, he made out it was my fault for finding the food spicier than he does. To be fair, the food was actually quite tasty and I probably would have given a 3 star rating, but the attitude, lack of communication and poor customer service left a sour (and spicy) taste in my mouth.

We had to wait quite a while to actually sit down despite pre booking as the lady had not realised we were there. So wasn’t a great start. So in terms of food; starters are really good Especially the prawn toast. I would say my main was not great it was a Thai green curry. Normally these are very mild and whilst I enjoy spicy food it wasn’t what I was going for. This was incredibly spicy and not very nice as the spice overpowered everything. Should be more clear in the description that it isn’t a cocounty dish. Also the curries don’t come with rice which is an additional £3 and not very nice either. Definitely wish I got another dish. Whilst I was ordering I asked the lady quite a lot of questions and she found them really hard to answer and really didn’t understand me. So I think communication needs some improvement. I asked about the fact that it said cash only on the menu and we hadn’t brought cash. She said it was cash only so we went to take out cash. However she said to another table that it wasn’t cash only and ended up having a card machine, which was very bizzare. I asked about the corkage charge and was told it was a charge for literally corking the bottle etc. so we bought a bottle and opened it ourselves however we were charged for this on the receipt. Overall I was disappointed in service and there was quite a lot of extra charges and the issue of cash which let the restaurant down. The food is of very good quality but the difficultly of communication and lack of clear guidance was not great. There was also quite a high service charge, which after all the communication issues I didn’t really want to pay. However that is extremely rude so I didn’t ask to take it off. Like I said, the food is of high quality and the restaurant isn’t bad there just needs to be more consistent regulations and communication.

Me and my partner had been wanting to try this place for ages, so we thought we would have a date night here. The restaurant was empty on arrival, I ordered a starter and the green tofu curry. When my curry arrived, we found a hair swimming in the sauce- my boyfriend took it back to the lady serving us who apologised and got a replacement. (The staff were NOT wearing hairnets) I had already started dishing out my curry before we found the hair and no replacement plate/rice/cutlery was offered so we asked for a new plate. When the bill arrived we expected the curry to be taken off the bill due to hygiene, it wasn't so we asked if it could be, and she said rudely 'we brought out a replacement' eventually, she turned around and went deduct it from the bill. When we got the revised bill, she had taken off the curry but charged us more for corkage!!! Unbelievable!!!! at this point we just wanted to leave- will not be returning which is a shame as we love thai :( aside from this, the food was average for the price- bit more on the expensive side for the quality you receive.

I love supporting our local restaurants, but at some point logic must take over. The starter of crispy tung ngern was only luke warm, and almost tasteless. One main course was so salty it was impossible to eat, and the other had a pale watery tasteless sauce. In my book, Thai can be so much more than just handfuls of salt and chilly. We won't be back.

It’s a small very low key no frills restaurant but the staff are lovely and attentive. It’s take your own booze, not sure about the below mentioned high corkage fees as we didn’t take any. We had the platter starter to share for around £11 between the two of us which is decent portion size, two Satay sticks, two spring rolls, two wontons and then two filo wrapped prawns - but I think they should pop the prawn toast on too and then it would feel such a great deal (You get that starter platter if you order any of the set menus for 2). The Chicken Satay on the starter was especially good. We then went for a Massaman Beef and a Prawn Penang with a fragrant rice to share. Absolutely delicious, really couldn’t fault the flavours in the curry’s and the rice was really good too and that felt plenty of food for two good appetites. The Penang has 8 prawns in, they are good sized and tasty prawns - so perfect if you are a fierce sharer - which I am. Bill came to £33 for all the above and we left feeling super satisfied!

This had been a regular haunt for years and years. We booked a table in advance but then ended up being made to wait for more than half an hour. This was outside in the cold with a motley gaggle of Uber Eats drivers. There appeared to be no control of the chaotic huddle of diners. Everyone brings their own wine or beer and pays corkage. On this evening all the diners seemed to continue opening bottles long after they had finished eating. Finally when our table became available, a sour faced beta male claimed it as his and refused to move. Waiters completely ineffectual. We left hungry and disappointed. TCC you need to put your booking and front of house service in order or you will continue to lose business from once loyal customers. It will be a long time before we return again, maybe never. Considering the competition from the many restaurants on Lordship Lane and surrounding area TCC's approach appears to be commercial suicide. Very, very disappointing.

A little jewel of delicous food. The food seems to be made quite carefully and with love, even if they have so many customers. The food stays consistent every time I visit (which is often as it's quite delicous!) and the option to have take-out or delivery is quite useful, as I enjoy having a movie night with my family sometimes whilst eating good cuisine. The staff aren't always very cheerful (perhaps because they are tired, which I understand) but they still manage to spot when you are finished with a dish or want a drink. However, the food can sometimes be a little different to traditional Thai, with tastes being not so strong (maybe to suit Londoner's tastes). Would still recommend.

Used to a be great local take-away with fast delivery and great service. Gone downhill since it started working with Just Eat and other delivery partners. Really sad to see the decline or what was a proper local business.

We had a super meal at Dim T, everyone really enjoyed their meals, service was very good and the cost was reasonable. I will return to Dim T when I'm back in London.

My go-to Korean in South London. Unpretentious decor. Efficient service and yummy spicy food at reasonable prices. My mate had the Army Base Stew! (He's into spicy and he got it.) I had bibimbap - rice with mixed veggies and a fried egg on top. Delicious and filling. We got a free bingsu for desert because we spent over 30. Sorry, bingsu is shaved ice with sweet milk and sweet red beans. Perfect for cooling down. If you find yourself hungry on the Walworth Road, go.
