Dim T - London Bridge in Southwark

We had a super meal at Dim T, everyone really enjoyed their meals, service was very good and the cost was reasonable. I will return to Dim T when I'm back in London.

Went on a Saturday evening at 6-8pm. Not quite that busy at 6pm yet. The food was delicious. Really enjoyed the prawn crackers, duck spring rolls, Korean fried chicken and chow mein. Every meal was so tasty and portion size just right. Gorgeous view of the tower bridge when get a window seat. Would return.

I went there yesterday for a catch up with my friend for dinner. We tried to request a window seat over the phone earlier but they said it wasn’t possible to choose where we sat, it’s first people upon arrival. We arrived and it was ok. It took us a little while to get to grips with the menu. The waitress came to take out order. We ordered the beef wontons and the duck spring rolls, the green papaya salad and the sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice. We got our drinks and starters in a timely fashion. The portions aren’t huge so we finished quickly too. As I look around the restaurant there are a few big groups so we glad there. There were a few groups looking for help from the staff but it didn’t seem as though the staff noticed.My friend and I were chatting but getting hungry again. We’d waited for someone to clear the dishes and ask us if we’d like another drink but no one had. The waitress came to clear the dishes after a while but went away quickly so I didn’t have the chance to ask her how long our mains would be. I had to wait for another server to come by. Thankfully the food came quickly after that! I was underwhelmed by my salad. I wasn’t a big fan. We are quickly and when we finished we had to wait to get the servers attention to get the bill. We were brought the wrong bill. We asked for the card machine to be brought over because we didn’t want to have to wait too long again. Just before we were about to pay, the server mentioned “there is no service charge included. Would you like me to include it?” To which I replied no thank you. Normally I would include some sort of service charge however I felt the service was awful as we had to wait around and get the attention of the servers and the food was sub par. Shan’t be visiting this establishment again.

I decided to take my family for the New Years Eve set menu dinner, as regular customers of DimT we have always been impressed by the food, service, atmosphere and views. Turns out we were very disappointed. It took 25 mins for someone to take out drinks order. (We were supposed to receive Prosecco on arrival.) Drinks arrived 15 mins later. We then had to wait a further 20 mins to order mains. Mains arrived soon after we had finished starters. However the sides for the the mains took a further 10 mins to receive after prompting our sever- By which time the mains were Tepid at best. Service seemed very chaotic and disorderly, with a server rushing and dropping a large number of plates from a table next to me which luckily never stained any of my clothing. The toilets were dirty and toilet paper was all over the toilet cubicle floors which was very off putting. Having been a loyal customer for a number of years we were very disappointed by the service this evening.

Got seating at their upstairs level for dinner and loved the view of Tower Bridge. Food was decent - we had the spicy edamame, sea bass, nasi goreng, & Green curry. All were good. Service was very helpful and fast. Very good experience.

Very nice food and very friendly staff. We had a good lunch with nice view of the London bridge in the back.

I tried using the discount at this restaurant and was told by the manager that they no longer participate in this offer which I found a bit odd as it still being advertised within the terms and conditions. Can you please let me know if you if you still do? Nick

We visited Dim T at the end of a long day. They were busy but found us a table. Service was prompt and food arrived quickly. I had the Thai green curry. Which was nicely spicy and very enjoyable. Tiger beer on draft. What’s not to like!!

Very mainstream restaurant no real vibe of an Asian restaurant. Food came out too quick as well within 5-10 minutes of ordering which is always dodgy. Nice location but wouldn’t go here again

Average food with really terrible service. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone, but definitely avoid for a large group.

Had a great Nasi Goreg at Dim T. Served steaming and spicy, along side a bottle of lucky Buddha was a perfect combination for me.

It saddens me to write this review because if it wasn't for the food it would have been a 5 star review due to the fantastic friendly staff member who served us.

Ho Ho Ho. Came here with the folks from work for our early Xmas meal. The staff had decorated our table with crackers, Santa hats and Xmas games. The staff were really friendly and attentive. The meal itself was 3 courses for £18, I shared a bottle of white which cost £18. I had shredded beef which was lovely, served with rice. Starter was a mixture of spring rolls dim sum and Edame beans, dessert was mini brownies, doughnuts and apple pies. We had prawn crackers as well. Really nice restaurant with a brilliant view overlooking the Thames.

I used to eat at Dim T all the time when l lived in London so thought l would go back. I received the wrong meat in the dish (got homes instead of teriyaki chicken) which was corrected after 15 minutes. That's fine, it happens but when l got the dish back there were 4.5 small pieces of thinly sliced chicken in the dish and very little noodles. You can see what is in the bowl after l had eaten the small chicken a little noodles (and l had eaten some vegetables). The dish was all vegetables. So disappointing. Spent 10 pounds on steamed veggies! You would think that after making an error in the first place, making me wait for the correct dish for 15 minutes (which meant my friend had finished his dish by the time l got mine) that they might even be generous with the chicken. Nope!

One of my favourite place in London. I could visit every day, actually I am totally addicted to the Spinach Dim Sum. Absolutely recommended

We went there on a hen do and ordered the banquet. It came with a glass of Prosecco and there was masses to eat and a good choice. Unfortunately the Thai green curry was not good but the rest was delicious and we all left absolutely stuffed. The view is outstanding the staff were helpful and we enjoyed our time there very much

Had an evening meal here when visiting my son. The food was delicious and menu had something for everyone. Portions could be a bit bigger, but then I enjoy my food. As to sit upstairs near the window, the view over Tower Bridge is fantastic.

Das Restaurant liegt an der Themse in der nähe der Tower Bridge. Die Aussicht ist wunderschön insbesondere by night. Das koreanische Hühnchen kann wärmstens empfohlen werden.

Food quality is no better or no worse then a typical franchise restaurant of similar food offerings, but the view at Dim T was great and our waitress was excellent. Very helpful even when forgetful, ie forgetting to bring water over.

I've always walked past this restaurant and so decided to have lunch with my friend at this restaurant today. What a mistake!!! I ordered the Nasi Goreng dish and my friend had the chicken Pad Thai. The rice was burnt and crunchy and tasted just awful. My friend did not eat her meal either. Service was also very slow.

My friend and I regularly go to Dim t but this trip was made particularly pleasurable by the waiter, Francesco.

Very organized and friendly. Food quality is good. Service speed is good. Some orders took time to be served but considering the large group being served it was okay. The view is awesome for the tower bridge. Nice area also for a walk. One thing we discovered about London that in the menu lemonade isn't really fresh lemonade it's somehow Sprite or Seven-up, Lemon soda.

I last went to Dim T around a year ago and it’s safe to say that the standards have gone down.

Ask for a table upstairs you need to book in advance views are incredible! Perfect for a date night. We went on a Friday evening was really busy.

This is a spacious restaurant with good air con and an extensive patio area (making it a perfect location for the heatwave). The Thai papaya salad was delicious but slightly overpriced considering the size. The service was also slightly bizarre but overall a good experience. It got quite busy on a Thursday evening so I would recommend booking.

They accommodated our group of 46 flawlessly. The chicken pad thai was excellent. Bar was great. But the view... wow.

Had dinner here and loved it. We ordered some dim sum and a Singapore noodle. Absolutely delicious. They do it a little different from the usual Singapore noodle but it's great. Good service too. Definitely worth a visit if you want some upscale Chinese food. Prices are reasonable for the quality received. Beautiful inside too.

II was with the family the restaurant was dirty i was refused access to eat upstairs we had to sit opposite the counter it’s the worse seating in the restaurant you get to see how dirty the restaurant is from here. The table was horrible & sticky all over the staff are not great hosts, they seemed in a daze. The food was cold, the food was bland & in some cases the food was overcooked, my food was horrible & most parts not edible. I’ve had better takeaway food. Drinks had to be returned as there was a foreign object in the them. We decided we would get dessert elsewhere as we didn't want to be further disappointed. This was a big disappointment this is my 3rd visit but they have been far apart. I will not ever go back it was that bad. i was shocked how bad the quality was. Maybe this is how people get treated on 2 for 1 days (Mondays). I will tell my colleagues via a work blog not to even bother going to this restaurant, waste of time & money.

We were there last night.Food was good and also cocktails. It was a date and I was nervous. The waiter Daniel make us laugh and we laughed a lot. Also the view is so romantic.

Sitting at the top floor with the lovely view of tower bridge definitely makes for a stunning date and a dinner to remember.

Excellent Asian fusion food with a view over Tower Bridge. It is located in the modernized area around London Bridge and is close to The Shard and Tower Bridge.

First visited this resto as part of office team dinner and I absolutely loved the place. Not only the ambiance is soothing and gives a lovely view of the Tower Bridge and Thames River (quite romantic for couples), the food is good too. I loved their desserts more, I would say, especially the "Chocolate Bento Box". So much so that I revisited this place 3 more times during my stay (including dinner on Valentine's Day with my wife). They offer specials meals on occasions like Valentine's Day, Mother's Day etc. So anyone should pay a visit.

Probably one of the restaurant with the best view. The beautiful building of City hall and the spectacular view of Towet bridge is just right in front of you, framed by large glass windows. The waitress was friendly and helpful. Sadly the chicken teriyaki that I ordered is just average which is such a shame because I was really looking forward for my dinner, I also ordered noodles which again is just okay. The pricing is reasonable, and the ambience is nice.

The staff wasn't very welcoming, took a long time to ask, didn't get napkins, one dish came late... Food was disappointing. My curry had a weird gelatinous blob, the fried rice wasn't great either. A friend got a pad Thai and didn't like it either. Perhaps it's better at lunch, but I won't give it another shot.

We visited this restaurant after Tower Bridge visit. Food was amazing, dim sum was particularly good as was duck (although portion size was very small). Service was great, ideal for light lunch - will visit again.

Restaurant wasn’t the busiest, that being said it was a Tuesday night. We had a very tasty starter, Dim Sum was great, highly recommend the Lamb, however, as for the mains I was very disappointed! Wasn’t the tastiest food I’d ever had, however, it did arrive very promptly. Staff very friendly but one individual lacked personal hygiene, wasn’t the most pleasant when being served.

Meet friends here after work and found it a great place to eat. Staff were nice and pleasant, food yummy and very well priced. Have the brownie and ice cream for desert. 😋

Disappointing experience for Mother’s Day. Dirty tables, seats, floor and even menu (see the photo) although we arrived at 12 o’clock for lunch.

Had the Thai curry (yellow) and coconut rice. Really tasty! Good service, reasonable price, great view of tower bridge. Cheeky cocktail too!

My second time here and was again very good .Service from Spanish guy ( we sat upstairs on Thursday night 04.04 .19) was absolutely amazing. He was very friendly and helpful and professional .

He estado en Dim t muchas veces en los últimos años. Excelente vista cuando obtiene una ventana en el piso de abajo, en la mesa del piso superior o elige sentarse afuera. Buena comida, buena selección de platos de fusión asiática. Dim sum incluido. Buenas raciones y sin duda una buena relación calidad-precio! Recomendamos hacer una reserva en horas punta. Buena opción si buscas comida casera en algún lugar central:)

Vivo a la vuelta de la esquina, así que este es mi restaurante favorito cuando mis amigos me visitan. La comida no es muy auténtica (piense en la cocina panasiática) pero es sabrosa, fresca ya un precio razonable. El servicio es bueno y el restaurante tiene una hermosa vista del Tower Bridge.

El personal no conversó con los clientes aparte de preguntar qué queríamos. Era muy ruidoso en el restaurante con la música alta. Lo bueno era bueno, y tenían una variedad de comida del sureste. Nunca he visto un camarero o watiress que tiene más de 50 años. Wouid para ver más personal mayor y experimentado.

Stumbled across this place when we were searching for somewhere to eat that also catered for vegans. Good selection and very decently priced!

Meget populært spisested, så det anbefales at bestille bord. Overskueligt menukort til både den store og lille sult. Priserne er efter London standard bestemt overkommeligt. Personalet er meget serviceminded og imødekommende. Alt i alt en god oplevelse, og vi kommer gerne igen.

We visited here for dinner last night having been before a few years ago, when we had a good experience. We came back expecting the same standard of food but I was massively disappointed. I remembered from before the egg fried rice being especially good but last night it was stodge with over cooked peas, like bad takeaway rice. I had the stir fried broccoli which was basically an insult. It was so soft, limp and watery god knows how it was cooked, either boiled to death earlier then reheated or just microwaved. There’s no way it was stir fried. It should have been vibrant and crisp. To send out this quality of dish is appalling. The sweet coconut dish I had was mediocre slop.

Pero las bebidas eran terribles.

Specifically on the quality of the food - how it is cooked and presented, the chef here is nowhere as food as Dim T chefs elsewhere. Meat was stringy and the Egg Fried Rice was nowhere near as good as I've eaten elsewhere. Very disappointing.

Spur of the moment visit, we did look at the restaurant next door but decided we liked the menu here. No reservation but shown to a nice little table upstairs. Service quick and efficient. I tried the prawn coconut curry and my friend had the deep fried sea bass and we were both very happy with our choices. Thank you we would return.

The service staff were fantastic and our table server was friendly, efficient and really lovely. The restaurant has a great vibe and the views are amazing. looking out to Tower Bridge, Tower of London etc. We had the Christmas set menu. Sadly, the food was appalling on the set menu, particularly the starters and dessert platters. These are clearly designed for profit and ease of serving rather than dining enjoyment. The dim sum was over-steamed and the fillings 'flabby' and the fillings were revolting. Given the standard of dim sum available elsewhere in London this is not acceptable. When I made the booking, I was told by the central booking team that the sides would be white rice or egg fried rice with a side of vegetables. We only got white rice and nothing else. The desserts were shocking. The mini dough-nuts were of a standard you would find on a fairground stall. The portion of brownies was effectively two small brownies cut into even smaller portions. Really unimpressive for the price. There are a lot of other Asian style restaurants doing really well thought out and executed Christmas set menus at better quality and price. Even the soft drinks were a shocker. Dim T used to be well known for its lemonade selection, I was shocked to see how the normal glasses have been reduced to small water globe glasses for the same price. I would recommend this branch for the wonderful staff, fantastic service and great views. Go for a drink and nibbles from the al a carte menu. The set menu food - give it is a miss.

We came here as a big group of 22 last Friday for our Christmas party as another 4 other groups. This make everything slightly more complicated as well as some dietary request of some of us, but in the end everything was sorted and I would recommend the restaurant to everyone as our waiter (young guy with blond hair) tried to make up for everything and also the view from the restaurant on nice lighted up Christmas tree and tower with the bridge in background was beautiful.

Went there with colleagues for lunch. Food was decent and service was good but nothing spectacular. It is a safe choice if you are nearby and after some Asian food.

The best thing about this place is definitely the view! There are tables upstairs which overlook tower bridge and is nice at night especially.

Ignoring customers once you offered them something is not a way to go.

It is a lovely restaurant. Top quality food and service. Very reasonable prices. Would highly recommend for anyone nearby.

We asked to be seated upstairs because of the view. Waiter was polite and friendly and the food was delicious. We had satay chicken and the squid to start with. the chicken portion was very small however both were tasty. Squid was hot and crunchy. for mains we had the nasi goring and the katsu chicken curry. again very nice.

Both me and my friend were very happy with the customer service. There was a Romanian waiter who made our experience truly memorable. The venue was modern and food was very good. The location was perfect and the view is stunning. I would definitely return very soon.

The setting is amazing with views of Tower Bridge, it's really atmospheric. However the food was really really average. I definitely wouldn't go back. The service is non-existent, I just happened to look at this page before we went and I completely agree with the reviews below. When the staff did finally pay attention to us it was lacklustre and didn't make us feel great. Some food came hot, the dumplings were cold and chewy, felt like they'd been sitting around for a while before being served. Small portions. Not really worth it to be honest

I have visited The restaurant many times in the past . I was revisiting almost a year later . The location is amazing with stunning views of the Tower Bridge but the food was diabolical .

I was in London alone and decided to order a take away at about 6pm.

Awful awful awful experience (did I mention it was awful!). We ordered Vegetable Dim Sum. We mentioned we were vegetarians. We got served Dim Sum- 2 vegetarian ones and one prawn one in the same box. Were shocked and waiter said he was sorry. Send it back. Next Dim Sum box we were told 100% it was vegetarian, no prawns, but again one of them was Prawn Dim Sum. I don't know how they handle their food, but they'd have trouble on their hands if someone had an allergy, mixing the meat with vegetarian meals, not having a clue what they are serving to people. The staff just didn't care, and the manager who came over to us seemed clueless that we'd been served meat (twice). Seems from other reviews this has happened before- someone should investigate them. It was offensive and depressing to us. We should have left then, but we had already ordered the mains and wouldn't have had time to go anywhere else- the main meal was inedible- Katsu curry but with raw sweet potato that couldn't even be cut through. They took those two items off the bill after complaining, but were happy to charge us for everything else. The worst thing was no-one seemed to care. Avoid at all costs.

Decided to try the restaurant with friends for dinner after reading good reviews. However disappointing service with no one being able to serve us during our hour at the restaurant. Took the staff 15 minutes to approach us and ask us for our starters. After serving us we were awaiting to come serve us for mains. However no one approached to ask for the same for almost half an hour. Asked one member of the staff if anyone is gonna serve us and he said he’ll send someone shortly. But no one did! Hence just decided to leave the place and no courtesy shown by staff when told them that we were dissatisfied with the service. Don’t recommend!!

My son recommend this place for a family dinner...views are simply stunning over London bridge and the Thames etc .

Halfway between London Bridge and the Tower Bridge, this place is all hustle and bustle on the south side of the Thames. It's set back a bit in the ground floor of an office building, so keep an eye out for it. The view is great especially at night. Vibrant, bright and cheery when you get inside. The menu is vast and varied with something for everyone. This isn't mom's Chinese, and it has a hint of chain restaurant to it, but the food is really excellent. I got the duck which was served in the traditional style, nice and crispy. Soups, noodles and dim sum were also excellent. And our waiter....the best anywhere. Attentive, personable and quite funny. Don't miss this place.

We were re visiting a visit from some years ago when we remembered a good experience.

I was invited to go the Dim T by my colleagues. I love a bit of dim sum so I thought I’d check it out. The decor is slick and the location is amazing. However, I felt the food I had was disctinctly average and below the high standard of Dim Sum in restaurants around London.

The starters were good. The service was poor and our order came out wrong however, they were happy to change this.

I loved the view. The food however was very disappointing. Cold pad Thai that was very dry and tasteless. Steamed pork buns were stodgy rather than light and fluffy. I won’t be visiting again.

Absurdly appalling westernised attempt at Asian cuisine. Tried an assortment of options including prawn dim sum, duck with pancake, coconut rice etc and all failed to impress in any way unfortunately being a mixture of too dry or poorly made or overcooked.

Locale molto affollato, offre anche proposta take away anche se sembrava abbastanza lento.

The food on the menu is varied and of good quality. The views across the river are a feast to the eyes. The only drawback, as in most central London eateries; is the waiting staff. Their knowledge of the food served is bare minimal and the way they explain needs a big improvement. Gin and tonic , that too a double was a true disgrace. They had only two kinds of whiskies. The waiter was telling us what is good for us to drink!!!

There’s not really much to say about this restaurant. Me and my partner thought the food was okay nothing great and the view was nice.The waiters took too long to come and ask for our order. We had to flag someone down. No one asked us how our food was all through the night or if we wanted anything else, despite the waiters talking to everyone else.To be honest you get better service at Nando’s and also paying half the price as well. I wouldn’t return back and would not recommend it.

You can expect a spectacular view of the Tower Bridge in London Bridge (FYI: the station name is London Bridge but the bridge that you want to see is the Tower Bridge). I won't come back here for food but when I have visitors to wow them. The photo is what I took at my table.

Came here with work colleagues and it was fantastic. Lovely atmosphere and incredible food. Try the Red Dragon cocktail.

Food and service were great! Prawn and scallop dim sum were tasty and the sea bass had a bit of a kick and great flavour! Banana fritter well made, it wasn’t soggy as I’ve had at other places before.

If you love Dim Sum, have limited time for lunch, and happen to be near London Bridge then this is the place for you !

I chose this restaurant for a belated birthday lunch due to the location. I ordered the vegetable gyoza (starter) and sweet coconut stir-fry with tofu (main). The main was actually more like a soup although listed under 'noodles and rice' not under 'noodle soup'. It wasn't until I picked out a large piece of what was supposed to be tofu I noticed it looked more like chicken. My friend confirmed it was in fact chicken. I've been a vegetarian for nearly 30 years so I was horrified. Mistakes happen but I had actually queried to the waiter about their Nasi Goreng and whether there was a vegetarian option and he confirmed no so I'd said ok, well I'll go for the sweet coconut stir-fry with tofu then!

My wife and I came here for lunch,we were in the area for the Chinese food festival,which was disappointing,with very few food stalls,we had a selection of their dim sum which tasted ok,but the portions were on the small side,however,due to some very noisy children,our lunch was spoilt,and we had to leave.

Went yesterday with a good friend. We love Asian food, especially dim sum. I went to the toilet before ordering - the first 4 cubicles had flies flying around and resting on the sears!! I told my friend and it put us off eating but we thought we would not be silly as it was meant to be a nice restaurant. I told the waitress about the flies.

Don't go for the view, go for the food.

Great food and brilliant service. Good atmosphere and clean restaurant. I am a regular here and each time I enjoy it more and more.

Ate here for the second time and it was just as good if not better than the first. Dim sum to start, katsu curry for mains and chocolate bento box for dessert. Fast service and delicious food.

This restaurant has an excellent view of Tower Bridge and that's probably the only plus point.

The location is terrific, overlooking Tower Bridge, and on a warm evening it's a pleasant place to sit outside. But there aren't that many warm evenings and both the food and service are nothing to write home about (even if I'm doing that in this note).

Iniziamo col dire che il personale composto chiaramente da ragazzi non professionisti, risulta frettoloso quasi maleducato ma noi siamo lì per mangiare non per fare amicizia e ordiniamo due pad thai.

We have been to this place before and actually love the food here. We primarily return for the dim sums, though we do enjoy their main courses too. The location is lovely if you are a visitor as it's next to London Bridge.
