Oodles 'N' Oodles in Manchester

We have been there twice now, and the food is amazing. This time, I tried the Malaysian Meegoreng (Egg Noodles) with chicken 65 as a side, and the food was delicious, and my partner had dragofly chicken noodles. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the chicken and prawns were tender and flavorful. The chicken 65 was bold and packed with heat, a great complement to the noodles. However, the service was a bit lacking—slow and a little inattentive. Despite this, the food makes it worth returning for.

Food is excellent, for a quiet Sunday, the staff didn't have much to do and gathered around near our table which made it a tint but uncomfortable, but overall... decent dine

Disappointed got seated during weekday and when ordered food half of the items were not available all the meat items were not available. For a restaurant to be on wimslow road expect it to atleast stock all the items onbthe menu as its a busy place. Just walked out and went to another restaurant which had all the items available on the menu. Its a shame you had so many staff on that day but 80% of menu was not available.

I tried the crispy chicken rolls and chicken steak it was very delicious. I recommend this place. 10/10

Visited this place for the first time with a friend for starters had the dynamite shrimp these were very nice , crispy batter and nice dynamite sauce also had the honey glazed chicken wings was also decent . For Mains had the chicken and prawn ooodle noodle and Mongolian beef .Noodles lacked any flavour was very bland and only two king prawns , however the Mongolian beef did fare slightly better for flavour still felt the sauce was bit to tangy and the beef was tough and chewy . Overall this was disappointing especially for the price, there only saving grace was the dynamite shrimp starter otherwise would of given it 1 star

Beautiful & clean inside. However, after purchasing a mocktail, later I asked for a tap water & was refused & told, they are not allowed to give out tap water. Then after our starter I placed my cutlery on the plate to be taken away. I was asked to keep hold of my knife & fork to use for my main. I replied I wanted a clean knife & fork so the waitress begrudgingly then said ok. I will not be going there again from that experience, even though the food was good, there's plenty of other choices that will also offer tap water & give you clean cutlery without any question.

Food was very mid for the amount that you have to pay. One of the dishes came with hair in it, which was off-putting. The staff were polite enough but you could tell they weren’t apologetic, they didn’t even say sorry.

Wow, I can now confidently say I’ve never had a worse experience dining out and I don’t think anywhere can be as bad as this! Despite having a reservation, me and my girlfriend had to wait almost 30 minutes for our table. On top of this a table that had booked in for later than us was almost sat first as we needed to go the toilet from waiting so long. The toilets were horrendous. They were in such a state and were disgusting to use. It seemed like they had not been cleaned all day as urine was all over everything. After sitting down, it took a waitress 30 minutes to ask if we were ready to order drinks, by this point we already knew everything we wanted to order, I wish I could go back and order nothing instead. If we didn’t stop her before leaving after taking our drink order, I don’t think we would’ve been able to order food for at least another 30 minutes. To make matters worse, the waitress made my girlfriend feel very uncomfortable. To set the scene, as my girlfriend is a woman, she has breasts and they are very large. The waitress would not stop ogling at her chest, disgraceful! My wonderful girlfriend felt so embarrassed that she needed to put her coat on. Another reason why she needed to put her coat on was due to the Arctic chill that we felt inside. We thought the food was steaming hot but it seemed to just be our breaths. You would’ve thought Sid the Sloth was walking around as it was definitely an Ice Age in there. He might’ve even provided a better level of service. From reading other reviews, which are all awful, it is apparent that the heating has not been working for over 2 months. It goes without saying that during these cold winter months, a broken heater is not acceptable. It really puts the ICE in not nICE food. Upon bringing our drinks over, half of mine was spilled on the floor. I didn’t think anything of it until it just wasn’t cleaned up and I had to get onto my poor hands and knees to clean the mess your staff made which was a health and safety hazard. From having worked in the industry for 5 years, I understand the importance of the safety of customers and this was clearly left out of the training for your staff. Onto the food, I couldn’t tell if I was eating the homeless man’s bed outside or this place’s terrible excuse for Asian cuisine. As someone that identifies as Oriental, you’d be laughed out of Asia for that slop. Cold. Bland. Raw. That’s all you need to sum up this “food”. I’d rather turd in my hands and clap. The runs this place gave me had more flavour than their appalling food. The music was dreadful to listen to. If I wanted to go to an Ed Sheeran concert I would’ve bought a ticket. Now onto the one and only good thing about our evening here, leaving. The decor wasn’t bad either.

Lovely food. Was cold 🥶 as heaters broke. But warmed with brilliant food especially the M soup.

Went in with family( kids ) today for dinner, placed an order and asked the waitress about the temperature inside the restaurant as it was freezing cold, her response was (we are having some heating issues today hence it is what it’s is), they shouldn’t be allowed to be opened if they have heating problems, there were at least 3-4 other tables where people had their coats on while being inside so did we, 4 starters and 3 mains were ordered, all the starters were served together which was good When it came to mains, we were served each main 5-7 minutes apart, when questioned, the waitress said that we serve each dish separately as soon it gets ready and you have to wait for each We went to have a meal together as a family and didn’t have a good dinning experience at all as we all ate at different times when it was served Due to lower temperatures inside, the food got cold very promptly aswel Won’t recommend this and would sure avoid this place in future

The place was gorgeous to look at. However when i went to the toilet, the whole thing was drenched. i had to clean it down in order to use it. We ordered the prawn gyozas for a starter and they tasted like absolutely nothing. I had to sit and eat in my coat as it was so cold in there. i noticed a lot of the other tables were also doing the same. The service was not great and in the hour we were there, there was 2 altercations at neighbouring tables where people were complaining at how bad the service was and how long it took to get the food. The staff were unattentive and we had to get up to get our own cutlery 5 minutes after we were given our food once we realised no one was coming to give us any. I would not recommend this place at all.

Food flavour was above average along with a reasonably pleasant service and beautiful atmosphere. However, the quantity of the food was the biggest issue especially the chicken shashlik as shown in the photo. 4x drinks, 4x mains and 1x starter later, we left with almost £80 down and still hungry. Place is gorgeous without a doubt but portion size needs to be worked on.

I've been visiting the specific restaurant quite often. At the beginning it was really good. However as time went by it went down hill. The last time I went, I didn't really enjoy the food and experience but I thought it may be a one off as every place can have bad days. I visited again today and without any doubt I won't be visiting again. Service was terrible, we were told not to order chilli paneer as it will take a long time without even checking if we were okay to wait for it, so basically saying we couldn't have that. To get a waitresses attention to order took a while, they were just gathered chatting from time to time. The place was absolutely freezing, it felt like we were sat outside! We and other customers complained many times but nothing was done. I should have read the most recent reviews before visiting. Their heater has been broken for a while but there is no warning to customers before entering. We had to keep coats on and was freezing the entire duration. The management did apologise for this after I asked for a manager 3 times but after waiting a while for the table and ordering it was too late. On the bright side, the food was ok. Not as good as it used to be but ok. If the service improved and the same quality from the beginning, I'd return but I don't forsee that happening. Overall review for Oodles N'Oodles is a 2 star.

The chicken was pink and raw, it was freezing inside we had to keep our coats on, was trying to get someone to come over so we can pay the bill it took us around 15 minutes. Once we got home within the first few hours we realised we have food poisoning would not recommend

La calefacción central no funcionaba y hacía frío! Estábamos celebrando un cumpleaños y todos los invitados se sentaron con sus abrigos puestos. Preguntado varias veces sobre la calefacción, pero no se hizo ningún esfuerzo para proporcionar soluciones de calefacción temporal. La comida estaba bien. La decoración y el servicio de camarero era bueno. No recomiendo. Si no fuéramos un grupo tan grande nos habríamos ido a otro lado.

Terrible service! Despite the restaurant being almost empty with no customers dining in, they still take an unreasonably long time to prepare orders. As a delivery driver, I’ve experienced constant delays every time I arrive to pick up an order, they tell me it’s not ready. As a result, the food takes too long to reach the customer, which leads to frustration and complaints. This shows poor management and a complete lack of efficiency. If they can’t handle orders when it’s not busy, I can’t imagine how bad it gets during peak hours. Avoid this place if you expect timely service.

Spent my birthday there and place was absolutely freezing - they claimed their heatings broken and in winter aswell! Food was very spicy even things that said mild- had to send food back. However mocktails and decor was very good.

This was advertised as a boujee dress up restaurant, so we arrived dressed according but were greeted with hostility and dirty looks which made us feel very uncomfortable. We ended up just leaving.

Visited the restaurant around 5 PM today, and it felt like stepping into an ice rink—it was absolutely freezing! The cold completely ruined the meal. I was told the heaters weren’t working, and apparently, they weren’t working last week either when a friend visited. At this point, the restaurant should really consider closing until the issue is fixed. I can’t imagine how cold the poor waiters must be. Oddly enough, the heater at the entrance was working fine, but the AC inside was blowing out cold air. Very strange.

Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience here. Our prawn crackers and vegetable spring rolls arrived promptly, but the rolls tasted as if they’d been taken out of the freezer and chucked in a fryer. Bland and tasteless. We waited for our mains for about 50 minutes - there was barely anyone else in the restaurant! The food was NOT good - even the noodles were bad. For a place called Oodles Noodles, that’s quite shocking. The mango mojito was nice, and our server was pleasant. I can’t quite believe how bad the food was - I don’t think I’ve ever had an experience like this at an establishment. We ate a few bites of each dish and couldn’t stomach the bland, greasy food. We both agreed it was terrible, and left having only eaten 1/10 of our food.

Lovely fresh food for a great price

I ordered a chicken steak, which was advertised to come with vegetables, but I was disappointed to find that the vegetables were cold and served in an extremely small portion. Additionally, the creamy mash was also cold and lacked the promised creaminess, leaving it quite dry. We also tried the Dry beef chilli beef which had a pleasant taste, but it was not crispy as described. Instead, it was ssoggy. The chicken wings, topped with honey & sesame seeds, were quite plain, and the tempura prawns were battered like those you'd find in a fish and chip shop—I've had better from Tesco or Asda. On a positive note, the staff was very attentive and quick, which contributed to a better dining experience. Surprisingly, the restaurant was nearly empty, despite it being a Friday evening.

My friends and I went here on Saturday 1st February we were seated immediately. But about5 minutes after being seated we had to put our coats back on, there was no heating and the restaurant was absolutely freezing like sitting in a walk in fridge we could almost see our breaths. Our food came out first starters the chicken spring rolls were pink from inside, undercooked, the chips were undercooked and cold. For mains i order szechwan chicken with rice, the rice was not fresh it tasted microwaved and at least 2 or 3 days old very funny smell, the chicken was drenched in soya sauce after a few mouth fulls i began to feel ill because it was super salty and the rice began to give me belly ache. The waitress was very understanding she called the manager over immediately and he offered us a refund on the main dish. When i reached home i began to feel very nausea, clamy and sharp pain in my belly. For the whole night i was back and forth to the bathroom with bad food poisoning under cooked chicken, chips, stale rice and super salty chicken. The only good thing was that our waitress understood how cold the restaurant was and how bad our food was. I really wouldn't recommend this restaurant unfortunately, i had heard very recommendations for oodles noodles but unfortunately that evening it did not deliver. From reading the reviews it appears the heating has been broken over a month now. Considering the cold winter we have had this year the restaurant needs to bring in temporary measures such as portable heaters till the heating gets fixed. The standard of the restaurant is indicating a decline of its food and hospitality heading towards closure. I hope the owner can save and take correct measures for this restaurant.

We went on a Saturday evening at around 8pm - we waited in the waiting area which was empty for around 10 mins before being acknowledged - all while staff were shouting and sorting orders and laughing and joking with each other and the kitchen staff We finally got seated and given a menu. Ordered the dynamite chicken and lamb chops for starters. Mains were vegetable chow mein noodles which we were told had a medium spice and a sirloin steak (the waitress wasn’t very helpful when asking questions about the sides or the sauces to go with the steak) and we ordered a virgin like mojito and a bottle of water which cost £4+ The dynamite chicken arrived, 15 mins later I asked a staff member where the lamb chops were? a staff member came over and said “have you had your lamb chops?” We replied no we are still waiting for them , he went to check and came back and said 8-10mins , I asked if they had forgot and he said yes they did. I said that’s fine and to bring them. Another 15 mins later I had to ask a waitress again to check where the starter was, she never came back to update me. Someone eventually brought the lamb chops. They were seasoned well but a tad undercooked, a lot of tough undercooked meat close to the bone. While we were still just starting to eat the lamb chops they had brought out the mains. I told them I wasn’t ready for mains as the starter had only just come out. They said they would bring it back in 10 mins Around 15 mins later I had to prompt a staff member to bring the mains. The vegetable chow mein was tasteless, dry and no spice - we didn’t eat much of it. The sirloin steak had a very thick strip of fat attached - bigger than the edible meat on it. It was however seasoned well and I asked for medium rare, which it was cooked well. The chips as a side were as though they had refried them to warm them - very over cooked and crispy. Staff were very unprofessional , shouting and talking to each other in another language. Asked multiple times to see where our food was and never came back to update us but we caught some staff members talking about customers in Urdu right behind our table and they caught me listening and looking at them a few times and they would laugh and walk away. The manager was seen by our table apologising to some other customers as they were leaving as they also had trouble with their food. We paid nearly £70 for the 2 starter, 2 mains, mojito and water. Very overpriced, satisfactory food, and very unprofessional staff

Gorgeous place, the decor and atmosphere is beautiful. Momena was such a brilliant host! Smiling and caring 💕 I loved my steak, absolutely loved the Strawberry Mojito ✨ Everything is Halal 😍 Hubby loved his food, though I didn’t 😆 Not a big fan of spicy food but my steak was brilliant so we didn’t share. 😎 The place was a bit cold tho 🥶 but staff were very helpful and moved us to a warmer table ✨

Good location, very spacious interior and decor. Service is decent, lacks the charm and seems out of sync with the branding and decor as I would have expected a certain nuance of service. The food itself is pretty good, worth visiting, and personally my favourite is the chicken sizzler. We have had their noodles and felt it was pretty creative with flavouring (soy with tamarind) but perhaps maybe it's missing that speciality one would expect from a restaurant called oodles noodles. Overall it's worth a visit, go with a relaxed expectation of everything.

Starters were nice. Noodles were ok. Don't serve tap water, which is odd and possibly illegal. I would visit again. Probably wouldn't order noodles. Really nice interior. Staff were pleasant.

Absolutely shocking how bad this place is. The staff are rude, the food is disgusting. I genuinely feel bad for the animals that had to die and end up being served at the restaurant, what a waste of life. The place should be shut down but they keep getting people to go because it looks nice. IT IS NOT NICE, save your money and sanity and go elsewhere!

Terrible food They don’t know anything about Chinese or Cantonese food, Hit and sour soup was neither hot nor sour, no peanuts in Kung pao chicken and later I was informed they are nut free but don’t add such items in your menu then

I had an absolutely awful experience at Oodles and Noodles in Manchester, and I strongly recommend avoiding this place. My friends and I went there expecting a good meal, but what we got was shockingly bad service and complete disrespect for customers. There was 4 of us in total, one of my friends ordered beef noodles, only to sit there for over 1 hour waiting, while the rest of us were served. Eventually, the staff casually informed us they had run out of beef noodles—after all that time! They didn’t bother offering an alternative or even apologizing properly. The result? My friend didn’t get to eat at all while the rest of us awkwardly ate our meals. It was embarrassing, upsetting, and completely avoidable if the staff had been even remotely competent. This restaurant clearly doesn’t value its customers. Save yourself the frustration and take your money somewhere else where you’ll actually be treated with respect.

Great place , with a nice atmosphere to be. We were looking forward to eat some prawns, unfortunately, none of the prawns on the menu were available. They don't have prawns at all, on that day. That was quite disappointing! So, l went for Lamb chops instead, they were so delicious. Some of the staff seem nice, but we find difficult to communicate with the waiters. One of them, l don't know if she's new there, but kept calling her colleague to come when we asked questions or wanted something. A bit of effort on the staff would be great.

Great atmosphere and Great food = A great Evening. The food was delicious however, I had to deduct a star on food as I have got food poisoning 😞

Venue looked really nice from the outside but was very disappointed when inside. Chilli paneer was good. Other starters were forgotten. The mains were not nice. Asked for tap water to wash down the taste but they refused and said they only sell bottle water. Only positive is the waiters were friendly.

The only thing good about is the way it looks. Ordered a few starters, lamb chops came very fast. However once we bit into to them they were all raw and pink inside… we told a member of staff she said she was gonna get her manager. We waited a good 15 minutes for a manager to come, the manager didn’t have a clue on what to say. He just said he’d bring out another portion. Then our prawn crackers came out. Tell me why the lamb chops came quicker than the prawn crackers. Our mains shortly came after.. along with the rest of the starters. However we are now waiting for our lamb chops, and we had our mains in front of us. Poor management, they had no resolution for us. We explained to the staff we just wanted to leave and would have paid for the things we did eat. Because there was no way I was eating anything else from there.

Quantities of food are very small. Food is not mixed properly. Charged us for plain water. All spice levels taste the same (mild and very spicy have no difference). Wouldn't recommend again. Stay away from here the staff give dirty looks as well

The chef at this restaurant should train the chef at Birmingham Oodles Noodles. The noodles were soooooooo good! However, the popcorn chicken starter is better at Birmingham as they give a little salad with it and better sauces. But the noodles here are perfect.

Quite nice atmosphere and interior but it seems thats all youre paying for, for the price the portions are really small and didnt taste amazing, sandwich was 4 small bites with some chips, unfortunately I wouldn't go here again unless they Improve menu or change price of items, waiters were nice though, overall pretty mid at best

Went in today just after 3pm, service is lovely by the sister but ive marked it down all on one star because we had to walk out without eating. No beef available, no chops available, this reduces the menu down to prawn, chicken or vegetable. All three are of which my families least favourite choices, we where hoping to get a variety of dishes and not just end up with the same to share. Also no Milkshake available, little small advice, if an item which makes up most of the menu is not available then customer should be told before being seated. Really really disappointed as we were looking forward to this, especially when one travels far to eat out in a halal establishment.

I have been to this establishment around 4-5 times in the last 2+ years. I'm afraid to say that the service has gradually declined to the point that we will now be looking at alternative fusion restaurants. There are are multiple issues; NOT CHILD friendly - We explained to the waiter, that our 3 children do not like rice and prefer noodles. We ordered sweet and sour chicken and asked them to swap the rice with plain noodles for our kids. It took 15 minutes of deliberation and a meeting with the manager for him to ok the swapping of the rice for plain noodles. Despite this, they tried to charge me extra for the plain noodles at the end with my bill POOR service - simple requests like an extra glass or a spoon to use were being ignored. We had to ask 3 times for extra glasses and a spoon to take out the food for my kids POOR TIME management - we informed the waiter that the sweet and sour noodles were for my kids and we would prefer if that came first so we can start feeding them. This request fell on deaf ears and we got the kid's food last by which point they were fed up, tired and wanted to go home All in all, I left the restaurant feeling very deflated and a tad upset (we travel 50 minutes to get to Rusholme). We are not sure if we'll make this trip again

Too overpriced. Quantity was not to the price paid off. Taste was ok. Chciken lolly pops were smelly. For 4 people the bill was £75. Bottled drink was £3.50 each. Looks like they only ask the price of their ambience and being on curry miles. Will never go again and would not recommend at any cost.

Nice place and very attentive and welcoming staff. The food was very good but some bits are not quite authentic - eg gyosos a little too hard. All dishes were tasty though! Parking a complete nightmare but there are about 6 spaces just outside in Oxford Place where you can park for three hours for no charge. They are always full lol.

Come here all the time it’s my dad. Good food and waitstaff, particularly Maryam. I was shocked to find out the restaurant doesn’t provide free tap water. Upon finding out my dismay, maryam rectified the issue by giving me bottled water on the house. This was appreciated.

The food took over 40 minutes and it wasn’t in a busy time as there was only one other customer there. The spicy black bean rice chicken was salty which made the taste after a while bad. They also couldn’t provide us tap water which is a human right !! The staff were forcing us to give a 5 star review too and watching us !!!

Experiencia decepcionante. La decoración era impresionante, sin embargo, el resplandor de las luces rápidamente provocó dolores de cabeza. La comida era promedio en el mejor de los casos y sobreprecio. Pedimos refrescos y nos negaron el agua de mesa cuando se solicitó. Se le pidió que hablara con el gerente para entender la razón de rechazar el agua de mesa y no se presentó en nuestra mesa para responder a nuestra pregunta. También noté que la camarera ‘limpia’ una mesa con una servilleta seca (sin anti bac utilizado por lo que la limpieza estaba en cuestión). No vale la pena una visita, definitivamente evitar.

The food was delicious, atmosphere was great. We were greeted by a very pleasant waitress named Razeeka with a lovely smile and recommendation. 5 stars!
