We came here whilst visiting the Manchester Christmas markets, the service was great and the food was amazing!

We tried to make a reservation here today and the Manchester page is now gone from the Chaophraya website. On Google opening hours it also says 'permanently closed'? Is this the case? Huge shame if it is as was one of our favourite restaurants!

We were recommended to this restaurant and we were definitely not disappointed. The food and the service were excellent. Colin was very personable and helpful and helped us enjoy the experience even more. We will definitely recommend to others and be back ourselves Thank you.

Had a lovely meal - went to the toilet and was shocked at the toilets - one urinal was bagged off and was leaking urine everywhere so much so that my shoes were literally drenched in urine. Please see photo and bring waterproof shoes ! It spoiled what was fine dining with lots of liquid

Booked for wifes birthday on our weeked trip to Manchester we ordered a sharing platter starter and xmas set menu for 2. Totally amazing tasty food great service in a relaxed but great atmosphere. Sometime you get a medicore part of a set menu but all of the atarters and mains were totally delicious. Best meal out in a long time and we eat out a lot....

A night out with pals. Nice meal from menu all well prepared and very tasty. Service was very prompt and friendly. Very enjoyable and good value.

Our hotel concierge recommended this restaurant and booked our table for my husband and I. We were celebrating our 25th year anniversary of being together so it was a very special occasion. The welcome was disappointing and not very friendly.We ordered and at first the service seemed ok if a little lacking in care (dirty table, burnt out candle, just the little touches missing). After quite a wait, we received and really enjoyed our starters which were the steamed dim sum platter and the sweet corn fritters. We had been in the restaurant two hours and we were still waiting for our main courses. We politely asked the waitress where our food was and she snapped at us “it’s coming”! After another while, (it is now past 10 ‘o’ clock) she informed us that it would be another 10 minutes. We then decided to leave and asked for the bill to settle for what we had been served. The manager was lovely and very apologetic, he did not charge us for anything (hence the poor and not terrible score). But such a special occasion was ruined and we returned to our hotel upset and hungry. A shame because we had enjoyed what we had eaten. I am sure it is a lovely restaurant but I recommend avoiding on weekend evenings and avoid for special occasions because they obviously cannot cope and you will be as disappointed (and hungry) as we were. :-(

Went for lunch with Friend on a Friday. Surprisingly we were the only 4 in the place. We were served by Kayla who was lovely. Note to management it is embarrassing to make new staff wear a badge saying trainee!!Food was lovely and tasty and well presented. Singha beer good but overpriced at £5.50 a pint! Good value otherwise and can’t understand why it was so quiet!

We were greeted promptly and seated near the window. The waiter was excellent. The food arrived quickly. I had the pad Thai which was delicious. This place is well worth a visit

Atmosphere was great, service too. Food is so delicious, it made me more curious about Thai cuisine.

Very helpful and friendly staff. The food was incredible. We were advised that the platters were large and would only need one main. We got Pad Thai which was stunning as was the platter. Highly recommend a visit. 😍

Have been here several times and have always had a great meal. The staff are always friendly and the food is great. Would definitely recommend the Chaophraya platter for starters. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

Was recommended to go here and was so glad we did. My only regret is that I couldn’t try everything on the menu. Will definitely return on next visit to Manchester

Meget hyggelig sted og hyggelig betjening! Vi tok vårruller til forett, og disse var nydelig! Til hovedrett tok vi red og green curry som vi ba om å få sterk, noe vi ikke fikk. Men god på smak. Tydeligvis en populær plass, så kan være lurt å bestille bord.

My friend and I had a great night here recently. The food and service were fantastic! We shared the dumpling platter and chicken satay - both extremely tasty and arrived fairly quickly. My chicken red curry was delicious! I'd definitely go back.

Después de leer algunas críticas recientes, estaba un poco indeciso cuando este restaurante fue recomendado por un amigo. Sin embargo, no necesito preocuparme. El restaurante estaba muy ocupado pero el servicio seguía siendo excelente. Éramos un grupo de seis y todos disfrutamos muchísimo nuestras comidas.

La comida era excelente, el servicio era bueno hasta que le preguntamos al camarero por el menú de postres que regresó diciendo que no hay chefs a los que se hayan ido todos, así que una tarde de aniversario se arruinó.

Went in last night with my lady - Tue Sep 10th 2019.

Has tom yum chicken (shldve gone with prawn i think), prawn pad thai, and pineapple fried rice. Food was quite nice, portions were fine. They didnt have thai milk tea which was a bit disappointing. Waitress was nice, but took a bit long to sort out the bill.

Booked a table online for a friend visiting who was keen to have Thai. Restaurant was freezing cold, air con on full and when I asked about it was told ‘it’s boiling’ by staff who clearly weren’t bothered about customers. Was taken to a table where you have to climb down into a seat on the floor and asked for a different table, however was advised couldn’t sit anywhere else as there were two people working and the service wouldn’t be very good. I remember when this restaurant was warm, friendly and professional. These days there are hardly any staff and no leadership. Stop cutting corners and sort it out! I have had at least three consecutive bad experiences here and very nearly didn’t book however gave it the benefit of doubt. I won’t be back. Such a shame but I don’t see it being sustainable as there is so much choice for business lunches and Lang with my business partner we have already taken our money elsewhere. Was hoping I could come with a friend and have a different experience but it appears not!

No reservamos pero el restaurante nos encajó. No estaba ocupado, lo cual fue perfecto para nosotros. Los entrantes de pasteles de pescado y crujiente de panceta de cerdo estaban bien. La panceta de cerdo podría servir con una salsa para mojar, pero eso es un gusto personal. Los platos principales de curry massaman y udon de mariscos fueron excelentes, particularmente el curry massaman. Staff and food absolute superb. Would highly recommend. Extremely generous portion sizes (dare i say too much actually) and all delicious. Service a little slow but i assumed that was due to how busy the restaurant was but everyone very helpful and very friendly. Catered well for myself and 29 other guests.

Our waitress was very patient and took her time answering our numerous questions, guiding us through the extensive a la carte menu. Food was as she described and we were not disappointed. Great taste. Portions were extremely generous- take that either way depending on your appetites! We could face the dessert menu! But we’ll be back.

We have eaten at Chaophraya many times since it opened in Manchester in about 2006. The last time was, perhaps, a year ago. In the past, it's been pretty much faultless. Last night however, not everyone in our small group was eneamoured with all of their food. Our biggest reservation was however, service. The staff were wonderful when you could, in fact, attract their attention. There didn't appear to be anyone in charge of the team on the first floor. Admittedly, the restaurant was busy, but adequate staffing is surely part of running this type of business.

Five of us had a table booked. The welcome was good, the drinks ok, the starters, very nice.

Had a celebration menu. Lots of different flavours and a vegetarian version too. Two diners likened their meals to authentic Thai meals they had in Bangkok. Fabulous meal. Thank you.

Had passed this restaurant many times, but this time we thought we would give it a try. 2 menus available, lunch time menu which looked to be quite extensive and the regular. We had a mixed dumpling platter to share which contained 6 pieces and was just enough. The sauce with this was gorgeous. We then had the lamb massiman curry and Kims's black pepper beef which were both lovely, a portion of very sticky rice and portion of noodles. Portion sizes were generous. Bottle if beer, glass of wine and a fruit juice came to just under £60. Really nice staff who where unobtrusive but attentive. Nice atmosphere during day, would imagine it is the same in the evening. Will definitely return.

Chaophraya is a restaurant with great personality and atmosphere. All members of staff are friendly, polite and extremely welcoming.

Food was great, really flavoursome, good selection and cater well for veggies. Service was good too, staff were attentive with service and drinks top ups whilst not interrupting our conversations, it’s been a while since I’ve been there but will go back a bit more often as I forgot how good it is

We were part of a large party of 16 here for a birthday meal. The food was tasty and nicely presented, the service attentive and polite and the waitress kept a careful record of meals and drinks ordered so that we could all pay separately. Really enjoyable evening.

Called here spontaneously early on a Friday evening and were delighted to get a table. The food and the wine were splendid - we are already planning to come back in August! The staff were all attentive and polite. My only comment is that the lighting was very low.

I came here for a Birthday meal with 2 of my friends who had never been before. We were met at the door by Theresa and guided to our table next to the kitchen where we could smell the spices and food being cooked from within. We were served quickly and efficiently by two lovely waitresses, June and Carmen - who were always there to make us feel welcome by giving us good service through recommendations and warm smiles. Despite the fact that it was a busy Monday night - the food came out quickly, and by God did it taste fantastic. Thank you chefs! You know who you are!

After coming here a few years ago I was keen to try again and took two colleagues when staying in town. I was almost put off by a few negative comments but don’t always trust these.

Visited to celebrate 3 birthdays and booked a table for 6 people. Staff very welcoming and friendly and always attentive when serving. 3 of our party are vegans and having questioned the waiter, were reassured that their needs would be catered for. All the starters and mains were served pretty quickly and were all delicious. A little pricey but you get what you pay for. Will gladly return.

So embarrassed leaving our meal after paying the full food and drinks bill with OUR chosen amount of service charge added on, to be approached by the waitress saying we hadn’t paid our bill in full. I explained we had and the 10% is discretionary. No customer should be challenged like this.

The reason in the surge in popularity in Thai food in the UK as Westernised Chinese meals decline probably lies in my opinion, in the use of fresh ingredients.

We had a lovely meal early evening the flavours were good. Imm was an excellent waitress she had only been there 4 shifts and she was friendly and efficient.

Some years ago I gave a glowing report for Chaophraya and it has always been our favourite Manchester restaurant. We haven't visited for over a year, a big gap for us, and we were eagerly awaiting our latest visit - but what on earth has happened? We wondered if it was under new management because things had changed so drastically. I have given two stars for the red wine because it was lovely, called Guv'nor, and for the sauces that accompanied our starters and mains, which were of the usual high standard, but that aside everything else was disappointing. I had the fishcakes which were really rubbery (I have had them in the past and they have been delicious). My husband had pork kebabs (dry overcooked chewy pork although the dipping sauce was really tasty). We didnt complain because we thought it was just one of those rare occasions where things can go wrong and to be fair it was edible, just disappointing, and we just looked forward to the mains instead. Mains came and things became more disappointing. My husband had Red Snapper as a main and it was overcooked and dry and tasteless (we have just come back from USA and the red snapper there was amazing) - but this was three small pieces of snapper sitting on some broccoli. I had prawn pad thai which was just about okay although the prawns didnt seem to be of the usual quality. At the end of the meal the waiter asked if all was okay and my husband politely said it was okay but the fish was a bit overcooked and dry. The waiter rudely said, "Well, you ate it." He had a point, we did eat it but we were starving hungry and the portions weren't big. I dont think there was any need to be rude about it. After all, he did ask and there is a vast difference between food that is edible and food that is beautifully cooked, presented and a pleasure to eat (like it always used to be here). For the first time at Chaophraya we didnt leave a generous tip. I doubt we will ever go back. I started feeling embarrassed that maybe some of all the people who I had recommended this restaurant to might have had a similarly poor experience.

Made a late booking but we were still able to get a table for eight. Service was excellent even though it was very busy and staff extremely helpful.

Very friendly service and the food was excellent. The duck salad was fresh and tasty. They had a good choice of beers.

My partner and I were in Manchester for a concert at the Bridgewater Hall and had not planned our dining prior to the event. We came across this restaurant purely by chance and decided to go in. It was early evening and the restaurant was fairly quiet but we were greeted on entrance by a pleasant young man and shown to our table. we were given time to settle before he went through the various menu options. We decided to have the Ted Sakarn Jay Platter (for two) as a starter. It was excellent with a good choice of finger nibbles. The Miang Kham was especially good with different taste sensations bursting over the tongue. For a main course my partner chose the Green Thai Curry and I selected the Beef Jungle curry. Both were served with rice. Both were well cooked and very tasty. It was the first time either of us had a meal in a Thai restaurant so its difficult to do comparisons. Throughout the meal the waiters were attentive and available. We both agreed that it was a very enjoyable experience and we wouldn't hesitate to return the next time we are in Manchester.

He estado aquí antes varias veces y siempre he tenido una excelente comida y un buen servicio, no sé qué ha cambiado, pero después de mi última visita no volveré nunca más! La comida era horrible. Pedí pollo crujiente dulce y amargo. Era graso y empapado. No pude comerlo cuando se le informó al gerente que no podía comer el pollo. Dijeron que era porque era muslo de pollo, no pechuga. No estoy seguro de por qué es importante cuando pido pollo crujiente. Espero que no queden empapados. Fue horrible. Me ofrecieron un plato alternativo, carne de res en salsa de pimienta negra, no una comida que pediría, pero lo exceptué, ya que me estaba muriendo de hambre. El pollo no era carne de res y estaba bien, pero no lo terminé porque no era realmente de mi gusto. Ni una vez el gerente regresó para verificar si mi comida de reemplazo estaba bien y no obtuvimos ningún servicio adicional de ninguno de los otros miembros del personal que fue básicamente ignorado una vez que me quejé pedimos la factura y pagamos esto mientras nuestra comida y los platos aún estaban sobre la mesa, ya que habíamos dejado 15/20 minutos para que despejaran la mesa, pero como dije que nos estaban ignorando, nos cobraron el precio completo de la comida y nos cobraron por la comida que había devuelto que no estábamos No ofrecí ningún descuento ni ningún gesto de buena voluntad de ningún tipo. We used to love Chaophraya and thought it had been too long since our last visit. How disappointing. It took 40 minutes and asking three times to get a glass of water. Another 40 minutes and two requests for wine/beer and 45 minutes to get a second drink. The food was amazing and promptly served by a different member of staff. Our waiter apologised repeatedly for being unsure, slow, bringing the wrong food, forgetting to bring anything; he explained that he was a trainee ... without any apparent supervision.

7 of us (ladies from work) went for an early dinner on a Saturday night, we were greeted warmly on arrival, I cannot fault the food, there is a fish to suit all tastes, and the service, the staff were charming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them, I would definitely recommend a visit.

Estaba con un amigo que se inclina más hacia cadenas de restaurantes que independientes y pensé que esta era una buena elección de algo que le gustaría, pero que no era demasiado ofensivo para mí como un buen entusiasta. Lamentablemente en esta ocasión no estuvo a la altura de mi recuerdo anterior.

great food so tasty ..we had a combination stater which was very good but it was huge. we had a massamamn curry and a red thai curry both with chicen excellent food and service would recommend.

Zijn hier per ongeluk terecht gekomen, nadat we bij meerdere restaurants waren weg gestuurd, met de melding we zitten vol. Hier dachten ze gelukkig wel mee, we hebben een tafel voor 2 uur of dat een probleem was. Nee natuurlijk niet. Lekkere curry, goede bediening.

Been here on a few a accasions and enjoyed it. This time very disappointed. The restaurant was very cold and told heating not working so the air conditioning was blowing warm air. Very loud not efficient. Showed to to our table past several red gas bottles next to the bar. Food very average. No atmosphere whatsoever. Very disappointed.

Simply the best Thai food I’ve tried in the city. Elegant surroundings and a broad drinks range. Friendly staff. Only slight criticism is some dishes could do with a little more heat for my palate.

This is one of our favourite restaurants in Manchester but on this occasion it was not up to its usual standard. This was the first Saturday in January 2019 and the place was nearly empty by usual standards. My wife had a jungle curry which was very disappointing and I opted for a lamb Massamam curry which just didn't quite hit the spot. We really have had excellent meals here in the past and use it as a Thai benchmark. Service was Ok and we won't write it off.

I visited this Thai restaurant with friends and the food was delicious. We all had different main courses and each one was tasty; the ingredients were fresh and the combinations of fruits, vegetables and meats was delicately balanced. Portions were a good size, not too much. Desserts were scrumptious. The staff were attentive, but not overly so and could advise us on the dishes, heat of chillies, type of rice to have, etc. A very pleasant experience.

The food was so disappointing! I had steamed sea bass it was that spicy I couldn’t eat it and the skin was left on the sea bass! My husband had sweet and sour and the batter was wet horrible, we left it ! For the price and the service it was shocking!! Wouldn’t visit again ! Wagamama is better than this!

This is the 3rd time iv been here, and yet again it was a superb meal, full of taste and flavour, my black pepper dish was definitely a winner, along with the decor, this restaurant will always be one of my first choices, when I'm in Manchester

Seriously one of the best Thai meals I've ever had!

This restaurant used to be good. It isn’t anymore. I took advantage of the January, 50 percent off offer, which softened the blow of an extremely poor dining experience. The quality of the ingredients and cooking was low grade take away level, which is truly terrible considering the prices.

We where given a gift voucher for Chaophraya for Christmas. what a great present. the food is great. light full of flavour, the staff friendly the really know about the food. and the atmosphere relaxed. I had the soup to start which was absolutely full of flavour with crispy noodles could have been a main. I then had the grilled sea bass which is very light served with a crispy salad. The sticky rice with mango is a great desert to finish with. and the make things even better they have 50% off for the whole of January which we didn't know about until the bill came. would definitely recommend you give them a try you won't be disappointed.

Recently my husband and I had been to Chaophraya with our son and daughter. We had booked our table and it was midweek so it was quieter though just after new year. Our cocktails were very good. We chose predominantly vegetarian dishes. The vegetarian starter platter was delightful with a variety of tastes and textures. All the other main dishes were flavoursome and the portion sizes were good too. The parking on the nearby streets was a bit inconvenient as there were no parking machines nearby and we had to go on to the main road to pay. But going to chaophraya is something we all would love to repeat soon.

Food was delicious and fresh, great value for money. Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys Thai food. Pamm the waiter was lovely and welcoming.

My friend and I had a lovely meal here last night. The service was great, the food was very flavoursome and reasonably priced too.

Went here with friends from around the country as a Christmas get together, the atmosphere was really great, very festive lots of happy guests enjoying the restaurant.

We had not been here for some years so felt a revisit was in order and were not disappointed. Excellent food friendly waiting staff. Some tips if you are here. All foods are rated for hotness, in my view the dishes are slightly hotter than you might expect so bear this in mind if you don't like heat. Though there are some nice all in one menus which are good to get you going if you are not used to Thai food, they are not particularly good value - if you know what you are doing you can spend less a la carte. Though you are asked to vacate your Table in two hours a full blow out might take a little longer but there is no pressure. There were also checks on allergies as some ingredients are not obvious. But mainly go, this is a distinct step up in quality from your usual Thai restaraunt

One of best meals I have had in long time. Greeted instantly at door, warm friendly smile and was shown to a comfortable table straight away. Asked suggestion for meal and excellent choice, could have possibly been hotter though I was asked if all was ok and choose to carry on eating as too delicious to stop

We enjoyed the Christmas set menu but the evening was spoiled by poor service. We had an 8.15pm booking so were not late in sitting down to eat but before we had finished eating staff began to move tables and chairs around, presumably in preparation for the following day. This had the effect of making us feel as though we were expected to leave. This is the second visit to this restaurant when this has happened so I imagine it is a regular occurrence. We ordered coffee after the meal and this was forgotten about until we reminded the waitress. In fairness the cost of the coffee was deducted from the bill but oils rather have paid and had the drinks arrive in a timely fashion. Overall staff were inattentive and this spoiled the experience.

This was not our first visit as we have been a few times to this restaurant. We had the more expensive tasting menu which gives you samples of all the starters and main courses.

We visit Manchester for a weekend away this time each year for many years past. We have always visited this restaurant during our visit but sadly after this visit will not return. Last years visit was not a good as previous but we though maybe a one off so gave it a go again this time on Friday 14th December. And now reading the reviews on here I see we are not alone in our views.

Food was decent, but service and environment was poor. The seats were very uncomfortable. We were seated so close to the table next to us that we may as well have sat on their laps. We could hear each other's conversations which ruined the experience. We asked the waitress if we could move as there was other seating available. She said they were booked for others.. funny thing is, in the 2 hours we were there those seats remained empty...

Their food is no doubt one the best Thai's I've been to in the U.K., authentic with fresh ingredients. The service is always very friendly, I recommend you book.

booked this on a whim as previous experiences have been very favourable with regard to service and food, but this time around, I found the quality has dropped. The chicken satay for starter was more chicken nugget than anything else and the stirfry chicken was again quite fatty. I was most disappointed in the food as I love Thai!

Two of us ate here on a Thursday evening. Quite busy, so a good atmosphere. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The menu had plenty of choice. It was quite expensive but OK for a good restaurant in Manchester, but it had cost saving options for bigger groups. The food we ordered came in good time and was very tasty. We had mixed starters and mains and that was plenty. Wine was quite expensive with cheapest bottle just under £20, but it was nice.

Following a slight hiccup on our arrival where we discovered the Christmas lunch menu of 2 courses that had been advertised online and was what we planned on selecting from was not actually available at this site - the manager Rory stepped in...

It was my first time in Manchester and I was mega excited as I've heard so many good things about the city. We had booked dinner previous to going so was seated right away. Starters came out in a timely manor but we were made to wait over and hour and a half for our mains. Obviously we asked a few times how long it would be and we told constantly it's on its way. When it did come it was nice food and well presented. When it came to paying we asked for the bill to be deducted of the dish which took the most time. The staff were rather sneaky in how they deducted the bill and upon looking we realised they had only given us the service charge back. So we queried this again, it was only after speaking to the manager that we then got the actual discount.

The food quality was not great, really fatty chicken and they just don’t seem to care, would not recommend a chicken dish

Dined at Chaophraya a couple of weeks ago. The food served is not authentic Thai. Dishes have an Indian influence to them. Service was okay. Highlight was the mango sticky rice dessert.

Had lunch on Friday after visiting the Christmas market. Have been before, but usually for dinner. Went for the lunchtime special which consisted of pork satay, mixed seafood followed by noodle soup and then mataman curry and sticky rice, and all for £15. What a lovely meal and a bargain. The salad had papaya and seafood, but was nice and spicy. The hot food stayed really warm and was plentiful. Well worth a visit and try the set menu, you won't be disappointed

stumbled across this before a concert, staff very polite and welcoming, food was excellent and much to choose from the menu, setting was modern and very clean, ordered a platter which was excellent and chicken in black bean sauce was delicious, price was amazing too, highly recommend a visit, shall be visiting again soon

I am over the moon with the service at Chaophraya. Staff were lovely and food was quick. Thanks for making my girlfriends birthday one to remember!

Myself and my husband ate here on a Monday evening, we ordered a platter to share, it wasn’t great, The prawns were covered in bland, greasy and heavy batter the fried duck tasted of nothing, the tacos were ok and fish cakes were ok but nothing special, the main course was just awful, I ordered the massaman lamb curry it was the cheapest, greasiest and fattiest piece of lamb id ever had the displeasure to eat, the sauce didn’t make up for it unfortunately, we didn’t bother to stay for dessert, and I don’t think we will be going back, shame since we both love thai food, but paying over £70 for a meal with only one alcoholic drink is very overpriced for the quality given

So this is our go to Thai restaurant in Manchester it has been for years and every time we visit and want Thai we would always book here. Went on Friday evening shown to a wet table not even dried off properly sat right next to another poor couple when the restaurant was near enough empty?. Service was slow. We ordered a shared starter which came extremely quickly! Which to be fair was good. The problem been the mains. We had the weeping tiger sirloin steak dish I’ve had this for years and this one was the worst I’ve ever had in any restaurant. Dry as a bone no sauce meat was dreadful quality. Il ristorante è poi anche bellissimo da vedere..le differenti sedute, la saletta privata che si vede andando verso i bagni...i prezzi sono un pò alti ma ci stà, è tutto nella norma direi!! Andateci, ne rimarrete piacevolmente colpiti!!

On the evening of our 40th wedding anniversary, our son had arranged for us to have dinner here. Nice decoration, excellent ambiance, great food. Plus we were given a glass of prosecco each for the occasion. We had Tom Kha soup, pineapple and prawn rice, duck and Pad Thai chicken - all great dishes. Excellent is the word that comes to mind.

I and my brother went there there for a first time. We seek for a restaurant that can make us feel as if we are home again. First of all, when we have arrived a cashier, her smile is very gorgeous , exactly like Thai smile. I am not going to forget her me..Pookie. This restaurant seems not to crowed even though that night they have a number of people there because they provide enough space. Next, about the food, we have ordered 2 menu Chicken Kao Soi and Sea Bass and Mango Salad. Tease of Chicken Kao Soi is similar as we have it in Thailand, however, it would be great if the restaurant put a crispy noodles on the top of Chicken Kao Soi or it could be another style of Chicken Kao Soi, in case these i have to apologise and next menu Sea Bass and Mango Salad, how they fried a fish is very good, even they put sauce on a fish, it still crispy and all of the ingredients is fresh. Over all i love this restaurant and i will come back again for sure.

.....having never eaten Thai food before it is not possible for me to judge but here is my honest opinion as a first timer. The website is out of date in terms of opening times. We pitched up and was told to come back. Which we did and were thanked for doing so. However, at 5.00pm when they open no one on reception and a line formed. My partner went searching and found staff upstairs. Nice environment.

This used to be our absolute favourite for many years. We always order a range of dishes to share plus the same lamb massaman curry. We’ve been able to follow the changes they’ve made to this particular dish - the portion size seems to have gone down, less meat and fewer potatoes. The sauce is less creamy with more spice. At the same time prices have increased. The food is still good, the atmosphere still nice and the staff are very friendly, but it’s sad to see a great restaurant become good.

Always eat here when visiting Manchester, an old favourite!! Lover of Thai food, love this place, great building and decor! Much better here than the one in Birmingham!

Good food, certainly nothing wrong with it, but no better than any other Thai restaurant I've been to in Manchester. Much more expensive, costing up to £4 for a very small portion of rice, and the curries are around the £13 mark. Wine glasses were also cheap and need upgrading to match the prices. Nice ambience and friendly service but probably won't be back when there's other options for half the price that are just as good.

Back here again after a couple of years and it is still very good at what it does; as evidenced by the fact that it was absolutely chock-a-block, even on a chilly Tuesday evening. But they managed to fit me in, round at the back. Food, drink, service, and prices remain good; but the menu choices seem perhaps to have lost a little of their pizzazz – there are many more ‘conventional Thai’ offerings than I remembered; and the fabulous black pudding/scallop/Thai combo starter that I remembered so very fondly from 2016 has completely vanished from the menu. But I would still highly recommend this restaurant for very good, reliable fare, in very nice surroundings.

just finish eating in this amazing Thai restaurant and get amazing about it. me and my son search for Thai rest. in manchester as his first time to try Thai food. we asked for famous soup "tom yum kong" or as written in the menu tom yum prawn followed by pad Thai prawn "noodle" and the taste is so yummy. my son raise 2 up when i ask him about the food, atmosphere, service, every thing go so good really.

We had the Thai green curry and the Spicy Riceberry & Basil with beef and dark rice. Both dishes were very very good. The Spicy Beef had a side of spicy red chili in oil. It was very spicy and delicious. This place is off the normal path so definitely look it up before you go. We stumbled upon it and we will definitely be going back.

We had the dumpling platter and the Chaophraya platter with the Thai chicken tacos and red curry crumbed prawns..they were so good we ordered a serve of them individually. The beef dumplings were tough,

Pero el principal problema que tenía era cómo era sosa la comida principal. Pedimos una jungla de curry que tenía 3 guindillas al lado esperaba que estuviera picante. Lo que llegó fue una sopa como plato con unos vegetales y un poco de carne cocida. más No podría haber sido más soso. Tuvimos que esperar una hora para la comida, que inst aceptable, en general, faltos de claridad una noche decepcionante y yo no recomendaría el lugar.

Walked in off the street with no reservation and was seriously impressed with the quality and variety of food. We only give good or bad reviews and this was definitely good.
