Came here because of good reviews but left wondering if we had been to the same place. Service felt very rushed and waiter was not very forthcoming with conversation about the dishes we were thinking of ordering. We had Lamb Seekh kebabs to start and these were nice, well seasoned and warm. For main we had Calcutta Chicken Rezala and Chicken Haryali. Both dishes were ok, not much depth in flavour though. Rezala was too creamy and the Haryali lacked any hint of mint. Garlic Naan was very small and not very tasty. Pilau rice was enough for 1 and was good. On arrival we ordered poppadoms and chutneys, these quite pricey but menu made prices clear. Chutneys were underwhelming. We ordered two beers and some table water on arrival. On each table there was already a bottle of water. Waiter brought the two beers and two empty glasses, he then filled the glasses with the bottled water and we thought nothing of it. When the bill came they tried to charge us around £6 for the water. When I asked the waiter he grumpily said well it’s not free. The waiter should be made aware that they are obliged to provide free table water when they sell alcohol. Toilet facilities were very poor for a place serving food. Would not return as there are better choices close by.

Lured in by online reviews. MASSIVE disappointment. The wine was like water, the dips for poppadoms tasted of nothing (apart from the raw onions), my starter tasted nothing like the description, my friend's lamb chops starter was tough as old boots. We ended up sharing my main course, which was mediocre, because her Xiacutti was flavourless. Staff friendly but restaurant not very clean, especially bathrooms. Would not go back. Don’t know where all the good reviews have come from!!

We visited based on reviews and wasn’t disappointed. It was busy even on a Monday evening which was great and managed to book a table and use a discount. It was BYOB which was great for us. Had a chicken Balti and Lamb Bhuna, couldn’t fault them, so tasty and good portion sizes! Would recommend to anyone!

I love indian food, and i had high hopes to experience an authentic lunch in Brick Lane. After reading lots of reviews we decided to try Sheba, but our experience with was really Dissapointing. Small restaurant, with Average food, with distracted staff, and definitely over-priced for what is offered.

Very warm welcome from the staff - for a meal booked for 5 pm. The food was tasty, but the portions were very, very small. The garlic nan was about 8 inches in diameter, which is just measly.

Other than tasty chutneys, there was nothing about this meal or the restaurant that was good. Vegetable samosas were totally bland. Honestly, it was like there was no seasoning or spice used at all. My king prawn Malabar had an excessively thin and dull sauce. The butter chicken was watery and the vegetable curry was tasteless. The sag paneer was cooked in some kind of gluey cream sauce (I think). I expected something fresh and light and got a gloopy mess. And, the restaurant itself is in need of a top-to-bottom clean. Very disappointing and would not recommend.

The food was insanely good !!! Very fresh, the lamb shank and naan bread and okra are a must try. We have been to many Indian restaurants, but this one reall stands out. The entire experience was lovely, from the friendly service, clean toilets to the warm towels after the lunch and nice chocolates. They make the best naan bread I ever had and I live in London for more than 10 years and have tried many over the years. We ordered for our 3 small kids and my partner and I more than 5 naan breads and finished them all.

Very average food, was expecting a lot more from looking at previous reviews. Price was overpriced by a mile. £8 for 4 poppadums. Waiter was sneaky and said to us “main course yes” when I ordered sag aloo, me thinking yes I’ll have it with main course, his thinking is he’ll charge £5 extra pounds and say you wanted it as a main meal at the end (£11.95 for sag aloo). Paid £17 for a pint of beer and a single rum and coke, disgusting prices. My chicken main was very average, got 4 measly bits of chicken floating sauce and my partners main came old luke warm. I spoke with the manager about this who said nothing and did nothing…. After complaining about all of the above, the waiter had the cheek to say “bring your friends next time” as we were leaving and giggled. Do not come here.

Service was fine - but disappointed with food. Just very average - was expecting more. It just isn’t the “award” standard as advertised. But nice people and don’t want to be too hard as they certainly made us feel welcome

The food here was ok but nothing to write home about sadly. Not sure what the hype is about, there are much better Indian restaurants in Brick Lane! You're crammed in, the waiters are rude and clearly can't wait to get you out and another party in, had to order our drinks 3 times before we got them and move the table every time someone from the table next to us wanted to get out as you're so close. The food was average, quite bland which is so strange for an Indian. The sag aloo was lovely, the rest was just a bit meh, so disappointed. We weren't even asked "how was everything" at any point, the waiters were just mute with everyone. Wouldn't bother going, we wanted to tell the people queuing outside not to bother, there are plenty of other gorgeous Indian's around there.

Absolute shambles. DO NOT GO. Made reservations via Google. They were accepted and confirmed for 7:45 PM. We showed up on time. We were told that they called us to cancel the reservation because they were fully booked. I challenged them and showed my phone that there were no calls. They then said they couldn’t accommodate us. Another person at the door said to give them 10 minutes and we would have a table. We returned 15 mins later and wäre told we wouldn’t get a seat. I asked to speak to the manager who assured us we would have a seat. I was told I was rude and wouldn’t get a seat. People behind us spoke up to say that the manager was rude. He screamed at us and we left.

Nice place but way too overpriced for the quality of food they serve. 50£ for 2 mains, a starter and rice and a drink, plus and extra 12.50 for service charge, adding up to nearly 70£!! I've had better Indian in my local shop round the corner 💯. Too overpriced and the quality of food is no way 5 star rating. Probably a 2/3 at the most. I Wouldn't go again, sorry.

The food is good here but it is so expensive. The staff are so rude it really makes you wonder how they still have a business given they treat you like its an honour for you to come and visit. Oh and don't forget the massive tip at the end - disgraceful.
