I ordered noodles it was so oily couldn’t eat not only oily the oil they use it very old. It’s ok if doing Iftar party 🎈 separately I attended the Iftar gathering it was ok.

Has gone downhill to say the least staff are not trained properly at all. The food wait was quite long and when it did come it was mediocre to say the least. Staff was caught making WUDU IN THE FOOD SINK infront of customers whilst we were eating our food then scurried off to the bathroom once caught. They also bought a cake for a celebration with no announcement to the wrong person with the white box and wrapper on with no plate or knife! Not to mention an hour later I can still taste the foul taste of whatever that ketchup was on my mouth

Very good food, gigantic portions, cheese naan and delicious lassi. The staff takes great care. I really enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. I recommend

Worst staff members in entire whitechapel. These guys need to train their waiters properly or hire waiters with good manners. Total mannerless and lower class staffs. Food is okish but the atmosphere there is so bad. You wont believe how dirty this place is.

Full of low skilled waiters. Rude, disrespectful, lack of training. When complained about food, someone stood up as a manager who doesnt seem to be qualified as a waiter, let alone a manager. Zero problem solving skill. He took my order and failed to deliver the item ordered exactly. When complained, he got offended and very rude towards us. Also they don’t take American Express. 19th century restaurant.

Disrespectful staff. Waiters need training on behaving with customers and also how to solve issues if raised instead of getting rude. May well be in better places if focus on developing skills.

Although the food was decent. The customer service from the staff and the manager was atrocious. Extremely rude and unprofessional. We had a nikkah event and they were not nice to the guest when things were requested such as more plates and glasses. When asked for white clothes for the table to display the cake on top they provided with dirty ones and said there’s not no clean ones. Has such a bad experience. They did not make us feel comfortable.

Went there for the first time after seeing a window message for Chicken Kacchi biriyani for 7.95. They served me a kacchi that was nowhere cloce to any kacchi's I have had in Whitechapel befire. It was just a slightly flavoured rice with three big chunks of tasteless meat. The best surprise was when I went to pay, I was adked to pay £9.50 and not £7.95 as mentioned on the poster in the window. When I queried about the difference, I was told it's Friday, and Fridays are different. They dont know how to do a restaurant business. Never going back. There are quite a few more similar places I can try out in Whitechapel. Their chef should only try out the Kacchi served at Dhaka Biriyani and then he will know what Kacchi means.

I had duck meat and chicken roast at Baraka Eatery London. The food taste is so delicious that it reminds you of your left behind home. Their service was so nice and the seating atmosphere was clean, quiet and cozy. Would love to visit them again.

Hyderabadi Biryani Takeaway - awful. This was inedible and offensive. It was in no way a true Biryani. Do better!

They did not have enough knife and forks half way through had one Creepy waiter ber starin at our table did not have enough waiting for this wedding . Only the coke and water was nice. Please do something about this waiter ber bookey 0/10 Creepy waiter -100/10

I attended as a photographer. It was marriage ceremony. The place is literally filled up with ugly table & chair. You cant event walk because of table and chair. They set their table literally on the place where stage started. Not a bit space to take photographs. On top stuff were very rude and kinda teased our female photographers. No sense of any education of them.Just Bunch of ill behaved stuffs. At the end of the party when they literally blaming us, because guest were not leaving while we were just doing our job. We dont recommend any big party there. We will suggest our customer accordingly.

Absolutely brilliant, spotlessly clean, service tip top. In the downstairs dinning area, there is a clear view into the kitchen, again spotlessly clean as were the kitchen staff. The price unbelievable, for 2 curries, popadoms, name bread and ice cream sweet £40.00, beat that.

Food tastes nice but I would say the portion sizes are a bit small for my liking. The waiter was a very kind gentleman so I gave an extra point for that. Compared to other South Asian restaurants in the area I would say this is one of the best. I do not recommend their mango lassi, for some reason it tasted very oily(?) so much better going for another drink.

My friend and I popped i for a coffee and drinks for kids, and some small snacks like somosas. They took 1 hour to get them to us! Unbelievable! Avoid!

A very nice HMC certified halal restaurant in the heart of Eastend. If you visit the East London Mosque then i can recommend you visiting this place for a good indian. Prices are very reasonable..

I had Murog pulaw and Kacchi biriyani takeaway for dinner for my family. Something was smelling so bad (rotten meat). Kacchi was like uncooked lamb curry mixed with pilaw rice. Couldn’t eat anything because of the smell of rotten meat. We have lost interest in eating dinner tonight. Note: Couldn’t take any Photos. Strait threw everything.

The restaurant was good , we had a buffet .the varieties were very less and you cannot refill your starters which was upsetting . They had cheesecake for dessert but it did not taste like one . Does not have many vegetarian options . It's not a place to go for vegetarians .

Ordered lamb bhuna. On menu mentioned it's served with Rice and Dal and salad. However received only lamb buna and rice. No dal. No rice

All I’m going to say is I’ve not been in there since the manager is rude (presuming it was the manager), had no concept of good customer services, portion sizes too small.

Good eating place. I had lamb bhuna which was like home cooked. My family enjoyed their food. Definitely recommend.

It was OK. Went for a family function on second floor. I didn't enjoy the samosa but those around my table did. Sheek kebab and chicken tikka were OK. Salad, just packed with lettuce. Pilou rice could've been better and the curries (chicken, meat, dhaal) were ok. Saag aloo - was bland but others enjoyed it. Service was rushed and they did their best to cater for our needs. Decor/interior needs a change. I didn't feel like I was sitting on a clean booth and tables had that sticky feeling. All in all - as I said, it was OK. I'd have to go back and try something else to give it a full review based on its menu.

Avoid at all cost, place has gone downhill. Took my family here on Thursday and they couldn't provide a baby seat because they only have two in the restaurant. Don't know why a restaurant has only 2 baby seats. The waiter was rude and kept recommending what he would have and eat and completely ignored what we ordered. The food tasted old, I was later informed by the waiter the curry here is 2 to 3 days old. You only get fresh curry cooked on the day when there is am event otherwise its 2 to 3 days old. Which restaurant serves its customers 2 to 3 days old curry????? You should be serving fresh curry. Would never recommend to any family.

Slow service. Food wasnt that great and very small portion for the price. My friend kept on complaining and was already thinking of going somewhere else to eat as she was still hungry.

Attended a few functions at this restaurant and the food has always been excellent! Cannot fault any of the dishes and would recommend for small lowkey functions. Everyone went home very satisfied and raving about how good the food was. Service was good, interior bit dated and reasonably priced.

Very sad coz placed the order at 10:47 and came and collected without tissue,spoons but had to request to get those no salad at all for 2 dishes I bought .people are still eating inside after 11:00 but I called and ask for salad that me and my friend struggling to eat the food without any salad it should come with each item separately as usual it does but the guy on cell said he will give more tissue next time ,really?????

I bought chowmein today, they charged £16 for a tiny portion, not even enough food to fill one person up. Tasted horrible and rubbery and flavourless.

Mixed grill is very poor, partly burnt out. It tasted old. It was a piece of chicken, one chop, one kebab roll & a few smal pieces of tikka costing almost £15. Quality Murugh pilaw has become poor, it tasted old. The toilet was smelling of wee.

They have lot of items on there menus that is not available. There is a big difference on the online menu and Resturant menu itself. Haleem was just daal ( lentils with meat in not the correct colour or way it’s meant to be ) Kachi bryani is fake , we ordered haloumi which is meant to be served with bread They gave us humous with dried meant on top no bread One person serving every one in One floor

Four of us dined in, it was a set menu that charges 15 per person. Barakah tried charging for 7 people. The portions were very small. Disappointed experience, we will not go back.

Dodgy food and dodgy people. They don't know what is Tehari, Biriyani or Murog Polau.. All they will do is pilau rice which was cooked long ago and some chewy meat. mix them together, heat them in Microwave and that's it. UTTERLY DISGUSTING. Still I am fuming, I paid £78 for this kind of rubbish the other day. I told the waiter about the food whether he had ever tried Tehari himself. He kept quiet.

I ordered a grilled platter and chicken tikka biryani. The food looked and tasted old, wasn’t fresh and was served on a chipped plate. The chicken tikka biryani was rubbery and the rice looked mushy and was greasy. This was the worst biryani I’ve had in east London. They didn’t have any option of drinks apart from coke and diet options all of which were at room temperature, there was no cold drink option. I’ve never been to a restaurant that hasn’t been able to serve cold drinks. I won’t eating from here again

Outstanding Restaurant, me and my friends really enjoyed dining here. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Food was outstanding. Definitely recommended this place.

Food arrived almost an hour late. Sign says 12 items for 8.95 (sign was put for Ramadan apparently). Went in mentioned the 12 item offer, guy lied and said yes and told us to go upstairs. After going upstairs was informed the sign is for Ramadan. Why the need to lie? I think this is their strategy to bring customers in. Anyways we ordered a platter and lamb curry. Platter came after an hour. Lamb curry came after 1 hour 15 mins. Food is nice but the service can be improved.

Cold food. Mains served after dessert. Dessert served, yet everyone had to wait for spoons as the waiters could not use their brains to place and serve spoons on the same tray! Complete lack of management and common sense. Please AVOID at all costs, surprised this place is still running.

If they change a little bit , they would deserve 5star compared to the other restaurant in this area! Peri peri chicken was good, love the garlic type sauce they provided with it. Lamb karahi was very good but the plain nuns weren’t good, borderline was raw ! They should change their interior, it doesn’t give you a welcoming feelings. Food prices is good, staff are also okay.

Wanted to overlook the poor food due to Ramadan but family member must have paid a lot for it. Bland biriyani, eating as don't want to throw it away. Fix it up please. Recent update: Their kebab roll and prawn puri are absolutely delicious.

It is one of the worst bengali food I ever had the service was so when we were giving order the waiter was so uninterested in taking our order and when the food came the lamb was uncooked and after having it I felt so bloated never ever going here.

Returned after four years. I liked the food but it was nothing like how it used to be. Perhaps the chef / cooking staff is different now. Still, a good enough desi food experience for me to recommend. Do check them out.

Took my family to eat there after a day out. It’s one of many Indian/Bangladeshi restaurants in Whitechapel. Close to London hospital and next to East London Mosque. The interior is terrible with seating covers which are torn or worn out. The painting on the wall was coming off and the flooring was a mismatch of tiles, wooden floor and carpet. Silly us still went in because we were hungry! The waiting staff put us in a corner where it was really cold. No heating was on and this was during winter. Some of the food we asked for were unavailable and the ones that were available was served 90 minutes late. We were told that the chef was still preparing the food. We were the only customers there at the time. The chicken curry, dahl and fish dish were served in very tiny bowls and the 2 rice dishes were even smaller! The portions served were for children and not for 4 adults. The fish dish was terrible and we guessed that the fish was old because it smelt off. The only okay dish was the dahl. We were charged a whopping amount for Lilliputian sized meals. Not a great experience at all. Avoid this place if you can.

This is my first time in London. I was looking for an India Restaurent and found this one. The owner came to take our order but he was so rude. Even don’t know how to behave. I highly recommend not to go this restaurent.

We been the restaurant yesterday evening. Waiter/ business manager recommended mixed grill platter. Then we ordered 2 platter & some curry, biriany etc as they highly recommended. Mixed was very disguised, mutton chop were too taugh, chicken wing, chicken tikka, lambb tikka was burnt, bitter taste and very dried. We complanid the waiter and returned both platers for replacement. . We hardly managed to eat one quarter of a plater. But different bring it back. Then we asked manager and owner. He didn’t delt our complain and took full bill. I won't recommend anybody. It was a nightmare 😡

Bengali owner and staff run it. Halal eatery in London Muslim Centre complex with Indian and Middle Eastern dishes, plus juice bar. Specially I like Biriyani. Located in East London Mosque and London Muslim Centre.

Visited this place when it first opened - rated it a mediocre 3 stars back then. Revisited again after many many years, sad to say its far worse. Service was slow and sloppy, ordered the tandoori mix grill which was dry and flavoured with a mish mash of random hot spices with a slathering of some orange random spicy sauce on everything and no condiments given. The icing on the cake was when I requested a tea at the end of the meal, the waiter said I had to go downstairs myself to order. So I went downstairs to order and asked if they could send it up which was met with a refusal and instead I was asked to wait for them to make it so I could take it upstairs myself. Restaurant prices being charged for an abysmal sub cafeteria desi street food vendor experience. Save yourself grief and money - go to any of the myriad of alternatives in the local area where they will actually care about what they serve, make an effort to be hospitable, and not fleece you. You've been warned!

Had an event here back in December and wasn’t the best. Food was okay but the service was awful. We agreed on a time for the food to be served months before and food was still late. “Manager” lied about the amount of food that was served. Save your money and go elsewhere

Food was really really good, when someone tells you "you can't go wrong with their food" they aren't kidding, the pillar rice and and meat curries are so much, stuff members are also helpful. It could use more seating or like better arrangement of seats, but then again they got 2 floors. Food comes quite fast for a restaurant ans you don't really have to wait too long like hours for the food to arrive which is nice. It does feel a bit crammed inside though, a bit too squished seating for my liking.

I heard about this restaurant when I was pretty new . All my friends went there couple of times before I get chance to visit there .this is one of the best Indian Bangldeshi restaurants in East London specially “SHANK BIRIYANI “ I have ever taste . All of the foods are really yummy like Kacchi biriyani Morog Polaw and other party’s food and shish dishes . I strongly recommend you guys to visit this place for new experience thanks

The most delicious food is not kachi Briiayani as we suggested, but a meaty, spicy, gingery dish from freshly made.

Again, A great dinning experience with tremendous food. One of the best karachi Biryani’s I’ve ever had and the curries are always exploding with flavour. I’ve been here multiple times, never get tired of their wonderful food. Portion sizes are fairly generous. Highly recommend, it does get busy in there, if you can sit upstairs as there is more space.

Today I visited this restaurant with some colleagues and had our dinner there. We found it very neat and clean and customer service was great. This is mainly Bangladeshi restaurant but has lots of other varieties also. They served us relatively quickly and the food was very delicious too. I think the price is reasonable and affordable and we felt valued as customer.

It does not deserve even one star. THE WORST experience ever in my life. The food where horrendous, like they piked up the felt over from other peoples and put it together in ours. The drinks are not what they described. You ask for a cocktail and they give you a smoothie like drink saying that is the drink you asked for. I never in my life wrote a review but I am so angry that I could not let others people know. Let’s not even start talking about the hygiene OMG disgusting, the sit we were near the window there saw chewing gum and some plastic plates and spoons left there. It’s just a horrible experience, never ever go over there…!!!!!!!!!

My family had booked the downstairs for our nikaah. We were told we will have the whole floor and it will be segregated. When we got there, there was customers eating and my uncle nearly got into a fight with the customers. Segregation was poor as the men workers could see all the women. I would not advise anyone to go there for their nikaah meal. Food was good but the service was poor. Im sure they will do this again as this is how these restaurants work

Been there years ago. Food is ok. Not too bad. Service is very very slow. Went there for iftar. By the time the food came, it was taraweeh time. Very lucky i live nearby and mosque is right next door. I thought maybe it's worth the wait. I guess I was very wrong.

Food has definitely improved over the years.
