I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately, it was a real letdown. If you’re considering it for a special date night or planning to dress up, think again—most people were in jean shorts and vests, which really clashed with the supposed upscale vibe. There was also big screens all around showing sport matches… this was not expected. The food was completely average and not worth the inflated prices. Shockingly, a bottle of water was £8, and they tacked on an £18 service charge without much justification. Overall, I wouldn’t return. You’re far better off going somewhere like Flat Iron, where the food, service, and atmosphere are all superior—and at a fraction of the price.

The rest of the food was great apart from the masala fish. We ordered Cod fish and it was most definitely not. It was also over cooked. I had guests over which made it embarrassing- nobody ended up eating it and we had to Throw it away. Really disappointed.

We had a wonderful first experience here today. We grabbed lunch here before heading over to the aquarium. It was quite busy in there and it seemed as though the place was a bit short staffed, however we could also see that the staff were doing their upmost best to keep things going smoothly. Our server was fantastic, I didn’t catch his name but he was a really pleasant guy! The food was simple but delicious and as a little side note, the request for a bit of space around the table for my little one’s pram that I put in my booking was paid attention to and we had a wonderful table with plenty of space for him.

Food looked astechically pleasing but flavours and portions side was very disappointing - Assam laksa lacked ingredients and only had a few slices of cucumber and onions and 5 segments of canned pineapple. Noodles also barely an adult portion. Nasi lemak had tablespoon portions of sambal, teaspoon portion of peanuts and half a teaspoon of anchovies. Coming for a Malaysian background, this was the worst Malaysian restaurant I have had in London. We were also cheekily asked to pay the bill straight after staff took our order at the table and whilst waiting for the food to arrive! Would have taken off the service charge for a poor experience.

Have been ordering from "The Chilli Inn" for over 10 years and enjoyed excellent food and service. Unfortunately three weeks ago our order was missing two out of four poppadoms, the naan bread was very dry and the "KKK" dish was terrible. Ordered tonight and the food was awful. The Korma was bright yellow and lumpy rather than creamy in colour and texture. The "KKK" which is supposed to be Tandoori chicken (dry) and minced lamb in a hot, spicy red sauce with chillies was like a chicken stew with chopped onions and pieces of tomato. Rang to express our disappointment to be told they changed chefs and ownership a week ago! Unfortunately totally ruined the night and will not be back!!!

Ordered on the app for delivery. Confirmed by text. Waited 20 mins after allotted slot, called takeaway only to be told that they'd rejected the order. When asked why she said they didn't deliver in my area (two of my neighbours received delivery) and when pressed she said it was because they were busy. I had no notification of this so was left with a hungry family and no delivery. Unacceptable.

Authentic Flavours, Warm Hospitality – A True Malaysian Gem I recently visited Malaysian Delight, and I can confidently say it was one of the most satisfying dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. Whether you’re already a fan of Malaysian cuisine or completely new to it, this place is an absolute must-try. The combination of authentic flavors, generous portions, and warm, welcoming service makes it stand out in the best possible way. Food Quality: Every dish we ordered was a celebration of bold, rich flavors. The Nasi Lemak was beautifully presented — fragrant coconut rice, tender sambal chicken, crispy anchovies, and perfectly boiled egg all served with that signature spicy sambal that had just the right kick. The Char Kway Teow was smoky, savory, and loaded with prawns and Chinese sausage, just like it should be. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in getting traditional recipes just right. Authenticity: As someone who’s tasted Malaysian food both in Malaysia and abroad, I was genuinely impressed by how true-to-home the dishes tasted. The ingredients, spices, and cooking techniques all reflect genuine Malaysian street food and home-style cooking. Nothing felt watered down or westernized — this is the real deal. Service: The staff were incredibly kind and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain the dishes for those unfamiliar with the cuisine and made thoughtful recommendations based on our preferences. Service was quick but never rushed, and there was a real sense of pride and hospitality in the way they engaged with customers. Atmosphere: The ambiance was cozy and clean, with simple but thoughtful decor that highlighted Malaysian culture. It’s a casual place, perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or family, and it felt very welcoming. Value for Money: The prices are more than reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes. You get hearty, flavorful meals that leave you full and satisfied. It’s clear they focus on quality ingredients and generous servings — no corners cut here. Highlights: Roti Canai was flaky and soft, served with a rich curry dip. Teh Tarik (Malaysian pulled tea) was creamy and comforting, just like I remember from street stalls in Kuala Lumpur. Vegan and vegetarian options were also available and well thought out. Overall: Malaysian Delight lives up to its name — a true delight in every way. It’s rare to find a place that so successfully captures the spirit and taste of Malaysia. Whether you’re dining in or taking away, the experience is consistently excellent. I’ll absolutely be returning — next time with an even bigger appetite. Highly, highly recommended!
