ORDERED-A TAKE AWAY ON JUST EAT . ARRIVED ONE HOUR LATE-AND THE FOOD WAS COLD . ALWAYS HAD GOOD FOOD FROM THE PAVILION . REALLY DISAPOINTED

The delivery order turned up stone cold!!!!!! This cost me over £17 IF YOU ORDERED IN THE RESTAURANT AND IT TURNED UP COLD, THERES NO WAY YOUD BE EXPECTED TO PAY!!!!! SO WHY HAVE THEY THEN KEPT MY £17 FOR THE SAME FOOD!!!!!!

Not been here for years and it didn't disappoint! Excellent food and service ...couldn't fault it. Soooo tasty and good portion sizes ...waiters attentive...really enjoyable visit

My sister and I visited your place yesterday and paid 80 pound for the worst Christmas meal and got ripped off What a disturbing prize for low quality food sub standard service which was 8 pound service charge to bring two plates to the table This was a Christmas ripoff We want a partial refund of the money we paid 38pound for prawn cocktail in a small bowl Which was substandard also I ordered so l steak This in itself was tasteless The mushrooms and onions were piled on to make it bigger this was awful.. we left and I runf up but they was not bothered the manager said Can I ring you back am bussy I said no you should let me tell you that I want a refund for this awful meal....

Just been with my son and family food was amazing and food was superb would definitely recommend!!! Nothing was to much trouble for the waiters and bar staff@!!

It's a few years since my last visit and I won't visit again. There were just four other people in when we visited so very little atmosphere. It started well as the lamb chops were tasty and the meat samosas were incredibly thin but still good. For the mains I had methi and my friend had rogan josh, both were bland and the methi had been made using powdered fenugreek which gives it a characteristicly burnt flavour. The keema naan and mushroom pilau rice were both flavourless and greasy. Service was attentive but the food was very disappointing so I can't recommend it to you.

The award winning Pav is our go to Indian restaurant. Never fails to deliver great food and service. The Tandoori lamb chops are to die for! Abdul, Santos, Naz and the rest of the staff are great !! Thanks agin chaps!! Cheers Damian & Jill

Having read a number of very positive reviews my friends and I decided to try the Pavilion rather than our usual Indian restaurant, Achari. We strated with the usual papadums, onions, chutney, relish etc and found these to be very tasty. Three of us chose the chicken tikka starter and one the lamb tikka. This was very enjoyable and made us think our choice of change was a very good idea, unfortunately things were to change for the worse. We ordered two mixed biryanis, a chicken korma ad another dish that I don't recall the name of. The biryanis arrived along with the rice, two naan breads and a portion of chips but no other main meals. We were told twice that the other food was on its way, unfortunately, it was not. The dishes eventually arrived nearly ten minutes later, but the chips, rice and bread were now cold and almost inedible. The rice and chips were (I assume) warmed up and returned to our table, the bread was not. If meals were judged on portion size alone the biryanis would have been top drawer. These contained little meat, and what there was lacked taste and was very dry. The manager told me that biryani was meant to be dry and that was why it was served with a sauce. I agreed that was correct, but I disagreed that the meat should be almost non-existant, dry and inedible. No effort was made to change the meals, add to them or even discount them. Our drinks were whipped from the table by a trainee waiter, who apparently had little experience. A colleague did offer to return them but I had no appetite for a glass that the waiters finger had been inside so we politely declined the offer. The meal came to £120 between us, which I would normally view as reasonable. Given the service, the poor food quality and the reluctance to deal properly with our complaint, it was, to say the least, excessive. Back to Achari for us next time, I've never had a single bad experience there to date.

Called in yesterday evening. We were seated quickly at our table and ordered drinks. We ordered food which came quickly. It was piping hot and very nice. The service from the waiters was excellent. The decor of the restaurant is also nice. This was our second visit and would call again in the future.

Take away order is usually the best, we won't go anywhere else but not this time. Curry had no flavour what so ever! Very disappointed! Reluctant to return now...

We always visit the pavilion when it’s a family celebration, We booked in advance and when we arrived we sat down waiting for a drink as you do! Completely ignored ! fair enough was busy but just to completely be ignored? My husband went to the bar and advised we booked for 6.30. Still nothing We eventually after 30 mins was asked if we wanted a drink. We ordered and waited.. and waited…. And waited …. No sign of any drinks. So we ordered a taxi left and went elsewhere. Have not returned and will not be doing. There are plenty of good restaurants around now we don’t need to go to the pavilion !!

Absolutely awful food!! Ordered from JustEat. Food came, and let me add, this was restaurant priced, even for a takeaway. Cold, greasy, chicken was supposed to be tikka; it was clearly reformed frozen rubbish! I would never order from this place again.

The staff are just rude and the chef was burning boxes out back and the smoke was coming through the restaurant and the staff didn't care Food slammed down

Very poor and rude service. Fawlty towers would be prooud if these guys. The restaurant was near on what would once be a busy.night. The staff where rude and seemed angry, glares and banging items down on the table, a terrible atmosphere we considered leaving mid meal.

On arriving, we saw the chef throwing boxes from the upper floor into the backstreet onto a lot bonfire. Having ordered, the restaurant then filled with smoke. This continued for 50 minutes with waitiers dismissing any complaint or comments from new customers about safety. On top, waiters snatching papers from each other and arguing. I always look for reasons to come back here and it always gets more difficult. Awful.

This Indian restaurant is the best in Bolton the staff and owner are so nice and the head waiter/ second hand man santos is probably the best waiter EVER amazing customer service. Nothing is to much trouble and the service is second to none they make you feel so at home and the food is always top notch Santos amazing, restaurant amazing,food amazing. Believe me you won’t be disappointed with this restaurant. If you like Indian cuisine this is a must, you try this restaurant. 10 out of 10.

I went to The Pavilion to celebrate a friend’s retirement. There were 12 of us and all our meals were excellent. So tasty and good portions. The service was first class, all the staff were lovely and made our evening extra special. Very reasonable prices.

Portion sizes were good , naans were good rice was good , chips fine but unfortunately the main ingredient was a bit of a let down , Shame really curries needed to be thicker and lacked flavour

Just had Chicken Pakora, followed by Prawn Puri, both wonderful and to top it all Santos couldn't do enough for us. I recommend you visit soon. Enjoy!

Been coming here for years food and service always been good, not any more I'm afraid to say, standards have dropped dramatically, went last night for our anniversary, poppadoms were small and broken, as for main meals the food was brought to the table within 5 minutes not asked of ready for mains... in other words it was rushed,my meal a particular favourite wasn't made to my liking and preference and had to go back I like my curries hot which this wasn't,and not up to scratch wifes king prawn dish had just 4 prawns, served without napkins which are usually on the table,there are too many new staff who don't seem to know what they are doing,and clearly not listening when taking customer orders,the standard has gone downhill since Christmas, and let's be honest curries are no longer cheap meals, really considering not going back again.

My hubby and I only go out twice a year as a couple and we always make sure one of those nights is always here. Once again we had a lovely meal with lovely company. Katrina was lovely and amazing, lovely to talk to and a credit to the business. We will be back

Been here many times over the years and it never fails to deliver on quality.We visited for a family meal of six on a Monday evening and the food as always was fantastic and the service second to none. All the family enjoyed the evening and Kaz was very attentive and always on hand if needed.

We have been going to the Pavilion for some years.. Just lately we have seen a drop in standards and levels of service etc. Our last two visits have kinda convinced me that we shouldn't bother going again.We went on a Saturday night in late May when there seemed to be someone new in charge. The place was very busy, the service was rushed and the waiters all seemed to be confused as to what stage we were at with our meals. I had Chicken Shashlik which was overcooked (dried out meat) and my wife had Chicken Sag which was much spicier than usual.We waited about 25 minutes for our bill after asking four times for it and we didn't receive the usual complementary drinks or orange slices.Our visit last night when the restaurant was quieter was a little less chaotic but the food just isn't what it used to be and neither is the service.. Again no orange slices but we did get the complementary drinks which were watered down beyond belief!

We ordered two meals from this restaurant for home delivery. Both of us took ne bite from our meal and it seemed that the chef was trying to play a malicious joke on us. Both meals which were specified as "mild" appeared to have been changed by the chef to "extremely hot" We are both used to Indian food and found this totally unacceptable. When I called to make the situation known to the restaurant the person who answered was very unhelpful and seemed not in the least interested in helping.

We ordered from the Pavilion for my husbands birthday as he loves the restaurant! I rang and ordered online but as my husband normally does these things I completely didn’t think about paying ! I know this sounds crazy but it was what happened I didn’t realise this until our delivery arrived and the lovely lady who delivered asked for the full amount ! The lady who was delivering rang the restaurant who said they could collect the money the night after! I was so upset about the misunderstanding and rang the restaurant after my lovely meal and apologised and was assured all was ok! How many businesses would act like this, I was so humbled! I said I would call with the money the following day, and I did this! The staff in the restaurant were so understanding and I was so sorry for putting them out! What a great business with great staff xxx thank u xxx

We visit here fairly regularly when meeting friends. Our last visit was not the usual standard of trip, we tried to book for shortly after opening but where told to come later, on entering the nearly empty restaurant it was obvious the staff had been smoking inside the restaurant- not a nice smell at all. The food was very nice though as usual and staff are willing to cook curries that are not on the menu.

Great night out .Visited this week as part of the eat out to help out scheme . Food was absolutely delicious. Lots of leftovers , everyone was too full . Eyes were bigger than our bellies ! Great flavours , good sized portions and great service . The waiters were really friendly, enough time and space to not feel rushed but no long wait despite them being fully booked . Katrina on the bar was lovely too . Absolute bargain at £12 each too . Can’t wait to visit again soon .Also have to mention that social distancing was great . Staff all wore masks and everything felt clean and safe .

We enjoyed the starter here very fresh and tasty. The main dish we had is jalfrezi it's full of flavour. The service was also good. Will be back soon.

First visit -and will be returning - Curries were delicious - friend had lamb curry and it was tender and tasty as i tried a piece - the dish was described as 2 chillies in heat but he found it very spicy so you may want to go for 1 chilli rating if you like things fairly mild or medium .I had chicken balti which was delicious with the best qaulity chicken i have had in a curry house - nice and juicy - There were 4 of us and starters, drinks etc were all great - Pappadum chutney tray particularly good

Visited the restaurant on a regular basis including ordering takeaways but last night went to Pavilion with friends before a night out, I ordered a Pavilion special and after taking the second mouthful of curry i bit into a piece of wire hurting my tooth in the process. Reported this immediately without making a song and dance about it, the curry was taken away and replaced after a short while.

Been this restaurant a lot. The food has always been gorgeous and service is excellent. I would defenetly recommend this place.

I’ve passed this place often but never eaten there. Saturday night, spur of the moment visit. I was seated immediately, without having booked, in any busy restaurant. Service was good. Food was very well prepared and tasty. The price was good for all that I had eaten. I was impressed and looking forward to my next visit on Sunday with friends.

I called in at 7.30 on a Friday evening having been severely let down by another local takeaway (Indali - never again!). I was treated like a prince, order taken, reassurance given, food delivered within promised timescale and it was all excellent. Have been coming here on and off for 30 years, never a disappointment. Excellent service.

Been here many times and never yet had a bad meal. What’s even better is they now also do takeaway so we have also ordered by phone, collected it and been enable to enjoy the curry at home while watching a movie.

The restaurant ambience was great and the staff were friendly. We had a lovely night out and it was a lot better than other local Indians. Do recommend to try out when you get the chance

The food here is brilliant, the staff even better. I'm very very shocked this is not among one of the best Indian restaurants among the north-west because something about this restaurant makes it click. The food is evenly priced and is well worth it especially if you're bringing the family. The staff are very friendly and take into account the dietary requirements of all. Overall a very pleasant trip in a quiet area meaning there isn't too much noise when eating your meal and someone I would come again!

The service was poor. It took long time to get served when the food arrived it was cold as if they made it and left it ready. Had bad stomach next day.will not be returning.

We came to this resteraunt for a group social and there was around 20 odd people. The hosts were very attentive and worked very hard to get all our food out of the kitchen at the same time which they managed to do fairly well and with out too much confusion or fuss. Although there was a lot of food that came out of the kitchen it was all of a high standard and everyone enjoyed there meal. This is a great place for Indian lovers, families, celebrations and group bookings ECT.

Having recently moved into the area, this restaurant is within walking distance. This was our 2nd visit, and both times we have been equally impressed. The 1st time we had a set meal for 2, the 2nd time we ordered separately off the menu. Both times the food was excellent, as was the service. Prices very reasonable. Nice booths making it private for but also still apart of the atmosphere. Complementary drinks and mints when you ask for the bill. This will definitely be our Indian restaurant of choice in the future.

My husband and I ate here last Friday night. It was busy,and so we waited about 10 minutes for a table,but the waiting area is comfortable and a waiter took a drinks order from us. We were seated in a kitchen which was comfortable and cosy and we had chicken chaat & seekh kebab for starters with two very generous portions of dip. Mains were tikka masala and a samber. All of it was DELICIOUS. We had a really lovely evening. Topped off with complimentary baileys,brandy,chocolate mints and orange pieces. Can’t wait to go back,or even pick up a takeaway.

We were visiting friends "up north" who took us here for an evening meal. Decent enough curry house that caters for western taste. Very friendly service with a complimentary brandy or Bailys to finish the meal.

The Pavilion is almost always busy and it's easy to see why. Try to get a booth for that special private dining feeling (!) The food is as you would expect, with all the usual suspects, and not much imagination involved. The service is the main reason we have been dozens of times - they bring your meal on a trolley, with great ceremony, introducing each dish as they place it on the obligatory plate warmer. It always makes us smile!

Comfortable booths to sit in, friendly staff and fantastic food. We will definitely be returning soon!

This was our first visit here. A meal for 5 was superbly prepared and served. Not one aspect of the meal, presentation, price or service can be faulted. Generous portions, tasty, subtle flavours, clever use of spices and fresh-flavours made a meal to remember. We were served by friendly, witty staff who attended to our needs as and when we required without ever making us feel hassled or pressured. The fish curries were perfectly cooked, the sauces not too oily and the meats were moist and flavoursome. Even the poppadums couldn't be criticised... go here and enjoy the foodie experience...

Poppadoms and tray, good and fresh. Shazhlick, divine and plenty, tikka masala, superb... Welcoming warm atmosphere...extremely attentive but not in your face personell... Gratuity of after dinner drinks...a delightful touch....plus a highly interesting conversation in the next booth... Definitely a well recommended visit

I have been going to the Pavillion ever since I moved to Bolton 25 years ago. It is one of the best Indian restaurants in Bolton. We have got to know all the staff over the years and nothing is too much trouble for them. Even when I am on one of my diets they will make me a unique meal. You are well looked after, the service and quality of food is highly recommended. Try it for yourself you will not be disappointed.

Was really looking forward to my curry last night my partners curry was lovely he said, i ordered lamb balti n a keema nann the curry itself did not taste nice it was very salty a coulnt eat it and my keema nann was underdone i was quite dicapointed n a waste of £23 !

Having moved away from the area 12 years ago, when the restaurant, in my opinion, was shocking. I was pleasantly surprised by our visit today. Beautiful restaurant, amazingly, attentive, witty waiters. Service was excellent, delivered with wit and a smile. The food was hot and fresh and plentiful. Extra touches that put others to shame, hot flannels, oranges, chocolate mints and a complimentary Baileys. A lovely setting for a catch up with my parents.

Had a meal at The Pavilion with my partner. Good was nice - especially mixed grill starter! Main meal was nice too. Very busy - Saturday early evening. Would definitely go again.

The pavilion is one of my favourite foods. This place is my ‘regular away from home’. The first time I came here the lamb was cooked that well I didn’t want to return in fear of being disappointed. The lamb is very tender and tasty. I’ve since been lots of times as it really is that good.

It’s busy and we have been going on and off for years due to location, very good staff and good service drink is also good the food is reasonable

Booked my table waited in seating area less than 5minuites orderd chicken tika chat for starter and chicken tikka buna for main meal with garlic nan bread all were exalent .couldn’t manage all the main so l asked the water if l could take it home and he said yes no problem . 10 out of 10 from me both for service and quality of food.

Went for a quick meal early evening Saturday and was surprised how busy this place gets which is a good sign of course.Even better to report is that the service was excellent and the meals were piping hot and served promptly by the extremely professional and polite staff.We have been using this restaurant for several years now and never had a bad meal.

No matter if attending with just my other half or as part of a large social group the food received in here is always fantastic. My other half is always gutted when he has finished what he has ordered because the flavours used are just fantastic.

Have been going to the Pavilion for many years. It has changed over time, but always delivers Lovely Bangladesh food with a light touch. Maitre di and all waiting staff are helpful. Occasionally, due to pressure of numbers, you have to wait for your food. But it’s worth it.

Drove over to Bolton to meet my friend and go for dinner. He suggested this restaurant and as we have been previously about 12 months ago I agreed.

I have used this Restaurant many times and ALWAYS been very good. Sadly it did once have a poor hygiene rating but right now this up to 4 out 5 … MUCH BETTER! Regardless I would always recommend this place and LOVE IT! Even better this time since my Son paid!!!!

we had a friend visiting from spain and they asked if i could get some old friends together and maybe sort a place for a meal. I coulnt think of anywhere better than the pavillion. They are good at catering for groups. I booked for 14 people and we asked to pay in couples. Everything was perfect, They got the orders right and the bills and the food came pretty much altogether and was fab

Went last Saturday. My cousin booked a table for 6 people - just as well - when we entered at 6.30, there were several vacant tables, by 7.30 the place was full. That in itself is a good recommendation.

Five of us went on Friday night. (2nd Feb). It's a regular event and we weren't disappointed. As usual the food was very good, served by pleasant waiters and very reasonably priced. We weren't rushed and at the end we were given complimentary drinks. What more can you say?
