Camel One Original in Bolton

I went to this place 2-3 times a week never had a complaint but this time I had a lamb curry with two nan the lamb had not cooked properly I did let them know about that and they took it to cook properly but they brought it back to me in a different dish but not cooked I just fill my stomach so bad

Can’t go wrong with this place. Reasonable prices with nice food.

poppadoms as a starter for 3 people was a no go as they were obliterated on arrival..... basically crumbs in a bag all in all 40£ for 2 curries, pilau rice,chips and inedible poppadoms isn't great value for money. shame as we were looking for a full time provider for pub match days.

Food was on point as usual. Warm tasty good portions and the man bread was soft.

poor services, stood feeling uncomfortable as 4 men just watched me. 2 men making kebabs without gloves at the counter. Took my order and said 10 minuets, so I waited outside. Came back after 15mins and order still not done! Lots of orders for takeaway delivery just left under the counter. And more orders were piling on. I Had to wait a further 15 minuets when I was asked my order again ! Ordered chicken madras £9, 3x naan £3, Rice £3, And charged £15! For prawn curry which was half filled "shrip" curry! Both curries were half filled in the smaller containers! Disappointed with the service and food

basics were great but shami was cold and salads were missing

Stopped for a meal late night, overall food was ok, Fish tasted like it was off. Small portions for the price. Was charged even though we ordered 1/2 of something and they charged us for a full. Didn't want to rectify so didn't really argue. Be prepared to pay for the price of a small camel if not a whole one!!

Hi myself and my friend came to eat at camel one today the food was amazing but our server who served us the whole time was outstanding he made sure we had everything we needed , hes on a student visa recently from pakistan , can i get in contact to thank him personally he was very kind

Slow service, busy most of the time and price

Lots of taxi drivers had recommended this place to us so we decided to give it a try. We got atakeaway through one of the big delivery companies and we're very impressed. By the time we added in delivery and service charge it wasn't the cheapest but still rated as good value and the food was delicious. We ordered a lentil curry a lamb on the bone and a mixed chicken and lamb curry and all three were delicious. They were nicely spiced without being ridiculous and absolutely full of meat which isn't the case for many other places used recently. There were big portions as well and it easily did two of us for two meals making it really good value overall.

Food was okay. I had high expectations for this restaurant. As I was recommended by a friend who knows good food the food was fetched out far too spaced out. I wanted all the food together and apparently that’s not how they do it. Food overall was okay lamb chops was way too small and too burnt the other thing is the chilli sauce was like a volcano going off in your mouth. I like hot food but this is absolutely mind blowing tone down on the chilies guys.

Second time now instead of mild curry got very spicy curry even couldn't eat.tl they don't understand what ppl mean mild curry just wasted money

Eat here sometimes, today absolutely appalling service attitude and rudeness by staff serving, took my order and didn’t start making any when questioned was told they had pre cooked half food to which I blew my top, I’m not spending my money for pre cooked food, then guy had attitude

I ordered seekh kabab 2 piece was for £5 so expensive and i got only 1 piece of kabab inside the box and that to for a small piece..hilarious

The curries was like soup especially chicken tikka was sour and other dishes was tasteless. The Nan breads was thick on one side thin on the other. Overall for the value of the food the quality is not good I would give zero if I could. Salad was filled with cabbage. Disappointed with the food waste of money.

Was craving biryani today and got one from camel one today for a very high price of £9.50 a portion 1stly and then after taking the 1st bite left the whole portion as rice were uncooked and very hard as well the meat was very chewy very disappointed

Great curries and kebabs. Always fresh cooked to order. Seekh kebabs and lamb tikka kebab are so soft and juicy. Can't leave without getting their signature Lamb Balti, best in town.

Sources come in a plastic bag not a tub , food is cold due to the delivery being an hour late , food is alright, wouldn’t recommend

The driver couldn't find my house despite postcode and I was on the phone directing him he went down wrong side of hurst street I stayed on phone nearly 15 mins he ended up few streets away even though I was telling him to go down street and the shop name on corner when he finally got to my house I was still on phone outside he blamed sat nav but I was guiding him he ended up in a cup de sac next street by this time got food 17.44 like warm 14 mins late not camel 1 fault am unhappy don't like like warm food

The Daal smelt and tasted off, so this went in the bin, this has happened previously. Also far too much oil that had seeped all out. The lamb was delicious as usual. As were the naan breads.

The taste was good but too much oil

Food is always great from here. Very authentic. There's literelly no other Indian in Bolton that are as good as this place. Believe me, I've tried everywhere and all the others taste the same and they all seem to use the same standard recipe. This place adds ginger and other flavours which is why it is so unique. I know because I cook my own recipes so I know the difference in top quality food. I refuse to eat from any other curry place in Bolton because they just do not compare to this place. Would really love for onion baji's to be added to the menu.

Didn’t get all food no rice no lamb on the bone shocking.

The food was good but they got my order wrong I asked for shami kebab and seekh kebab but instead they gave two portions of seekh kebab.

Next time i order more than one portion of the same item please dont pack together. Keep separate. Thanks

Rice cold Chips stale Curry's where good Ban bread was hard

Not had a curry in a while becuase I cook all my own recipes and this is the place I normally come to for a curry cause there's no other place that know how to actually get all the flavours right like camel one. Tonight I decided to order from curry House for a change and let's just say it was the worst biryani I've ever tasted in my life. I threw it straight in the bin and ordered another one from these. Was delicious just like it normally is. 😋

Not had much from the menu except for the donner kebab. Delicious and highly recommended. In fact it was another restaurant that recommended their donner kebab to me. As much as it shames me to admit to it, but the donner kebab is all I go for at Camel One.

Absolutely disgusting went with a few freinds and they gave us a watered down curry tastless the kebabs were disgusting half cooked also the naans were pre warmed from yesterday i wouldnt ever recommend anyone to eat here their hygiene was difusting and they all so tried to over charge us and we recalculated the bill which they put £5 on top on for no reason trying to scam us again disgusting food and service horrible curry and out of date meat it tasted like with most of the employees hardly washing their hands picking their nose no food hygene whatsoever also mixing meat no intrest of salmonella!!!!

Absolutely lovely food here. Delicious traditional dishes and the kebabs also taste amazing. Nice staff always smiling upon service. I would have given 5 stars, but the seating area could improve needs a revamp, ideally a warmer temperature as the cold air makes your food cool off more quickly. Cleaner and presentable washrooms please.

Travelled from over 1hour to get the famous balti and couldnt leave with out the donner on nan either!! OMG best kebab iv had and balti is the best iv had always a pleasure and have been going back there for already once a week!!

Not had a problem with these guys. New young guy serving is always kind and polite and very accommodating (unlike the previous young guy with a funny tooth). Keep up the good work and keep clean and just care for us customers and show us you care with a smile. The person I mention is very calm and I was present when an order was wrong. he did not justify the error just rectified and apologised and moved on......

Ordered for all the family as usual, last time they got our order's wrong & today got overcharged!! Ended up with what we didn't order. Apparently don't do what i ordered anymore but decided to give something else which was more expensive. Phoned up to complain & only got "an apology", no refund or alternative to my choice!! Even confirmed total at time of ordering, son picked up & overcharged him. Won't be going there again, didn't even care about keeping customers happy

I have been eating here since it opened, the food used to be good and the staff friendly, how do things change so fast? The place is run by ignorant and arrogant idiots, they send the order with items missing, late and cold food that is of a very poor quality compared to what it used to be, and when you ring them to explain they don't understand and talk to you like an interior race, I will never order from these again.

Served reheated kebabs that tasted rubbery. Took offence easily when we tried to explain in simple English that we wanted salads and sauces separately (but he couldn't understand or moreso gave the impression that he was not prepared to given directions. Avoid this place!

camel one isn't that far from where I live. when I last went there, I had 2 curries, kebabs, and rotis. the kebabs had been well seasoned with spices and the curry was rich and creamy. it was an average curry for me as I normally eat curry at home on a daily basis

Everything perfect apart from chili sauce arriving in a plastic bags. Other than that was one of the best. Please use tubs for sauces moving forward and could be one of the best in Bolton
