Service was great but the food itself was horrid. Took one bite of my meal and the doner meat meal (mixed) was different temperatures, with the lamb being cold and the chicken being lukewarm. Overall taste wasn't there either. Very likely that I caught acute food poisoning.

Visited this restaurant a couple of days ago and was very excited to try out all the different masala dishes, from lamb chop masala/curry to butter chicken, however I was frankly disappointed, firstly, the butter chicken did not have any sort of buttery flavour so it just tasted like chicken curry which i was not expecting, secondly, the lamb chop masala/curry was one of the worst lamb chop masala dishes I have ever tasted, the lamb was chewy and did not bode well with the flavour of the masala. However on a more positive note, the chicken tikka was phenomenal, it was juicy and tender and kind of just melted in your mouth and the naan has got to be the best naan around in London, it was buttery,soft and freshly made, it was absolutely mouthwatering!, bar these two starters I have to say I was very disappointed in Zaza’s overall food and would not recommend visiting in the near future.

We go very often and always love the food. We love the prawn curry, masala fish, kebabs, and paneer tikka.....and lots more. They sometimes have parties on the weekend, check before you ho as on these nights the service can be slower and also the food quality goes down a little for other customers, who are not part of the party, when there's a party. But I would highly recommend as the food (on a non party night) is just delicious and nice staff. It's def our favourite restuarant in Whitechapel by FAR. It's changed names and is called Zaika now.

Ristorante incredibile: location elegante, personale gentilissimo e sorridente (la signora è stata davvero eccezionale). Piatti ricercati e ottimi. Un’esperienza culinaria degna di nota anche (e soprattutto) per palati italiani.

Was not a pleasant experience its a Turkish restaurant called ottoman grill. Place was very empty, toilets not clean, but what upset me was ordered the mix sharrama and the lamb donna was dry and burnt. Told the server who took it back and did not replace it but just removed the meat and left the chicken sharrama, which was ok. But when the bill came they still charged for the mix iteam and did not even offer a concession for given over cooked dry greasy lamb doner. They had a man outside calling in customers offering mains at a discount but this was not implemented on bill. For this i would ovide going back and stick to miadah grill or effes.

Food is nice but is well overpriced in my opinion for the amount of food u get, 24.99 platter much less food than what I get at Sultans in Ilford, plus service and cleanliness is quite poor. Can of coke is 2 pound (do they want people to eat in their restaurant) is there a take away menu or is the price same for both. Did not even enjoy their Turkish tea something which I look really forward to at every Turkish restaurant. Bengalis trying to run a Turkish restaurant lol. *Edit* What u talking about 24.99 platter I have got the receipt. It is next to the East London Masjid

I visited the restaurant last night and it was surprisingly empty for a Friday evening. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, the food was fresh and tasty. Even got a bowl of salad on the house! I had the chicken beyti which was cooked to perfection and was very flavourful.

My first experience of this place is that it's poor, food is nice don't get me wrong! But for a new place they should provide better service as first expectations do count! My favourite is Sultans in Ilford, where I always go back to, food is very tasty service is also much better and cleaner. This place charge 2pound a can of coke, so 2 cans that's adding chunks to your bill, anyhow we went for tap water and the jugs looked unclean (basically nasty) water looked cloudy with bubbles almost as if they don't want to give you water, we asked for a new jug and that looked also the same. A service that I always got at other Turkish restaurants is food that was leftover, edible and not eaten, we took back in take away containers where the restaurant always packed it for us, this place the waiter asked us to pack it ourselves. Also the seats and floor is not really clean properly, food stains left over on the chairs. I will probably not go to this restaurant to eat anymore, and will also tell people the same. If I'm not gonna experience something good to eat in some where and pay extra money, I ain't really going to go there. The starters were poor in my experience, compared to any other turkish restaurant I've been to, few pieces of hard bread that was cold, chilli sauce and garlic sauce No Humus. Come on Ottoman grill you guys ain't made it in the game big yet, you should try to do better..Turkish people are always more hospitable and better than Bengalis I think when it comes to serving food...

The food was outstanding specially the family platter was big enough for us,nothing was less also grill chicken was yummy as well. Highly Recommend this place .

I went other day with my wife and my 12 months baby. The place was very cold and we felt very uncomfortable. My baby starting crying and now he has got the cold and the flu.

We organised a new year party there with group of 43 people, it was in basement hall, food, staff, environment, cleaning was best, its under new management the manager and staff all are soo friendly and helpful LOVE ZAZA😍

Absolutely disgraceful place to eat, rubbish food, no one is ready to serve you, this restaurant lacks professionalism in all aspects, they will sit you down, a man in a puffa jacket comes over and says "what do you want", after establishing he is a employee we placed our order, starters came after our mains, we ordered the ottomon grill special, couldnt find the rice in the dish, the meat was ok and presentation was hideos, like everything chucked onto the plate, got our calamari and when i had to ask for the tarter sauce, he said use the greek yogurt and didnt seem to understand the diffrence, once he realised he said they had run out, before food came out they took our plates to renew and forgot to give our plates back, this place is an absolute disgrace, AVOID AVOID AVOID AT ALL COSTS

The deal was off and the manager was very defensive and rude when we pointed out the foul smell. Day after all 3 of us had stomach problems.

Very bad service, the main waiter thinks the ottoman empire originated in Palestine, poor historical knowledge, MAIN THING IS THEY DONT SERVE YOU ON TIME VERY UNDERSTAFFED AND VERY COLD. most of the items on the menu are unavailable like the lamb chops and the ribs they hide it under the tills like it's some sort of gold. The rice is very dry and hard. Dissapointed by this resturaunt. Don't let the outer looks deceieve you. Very very overpriced and the platters are not even worth the money or enough to serve little children let alone adults

The manager (Mr zaza) of this restaurant has no skills with customer service, We had a lucky escape. I tried to book this place for my father 89th with 45 guests, of that 8 were under the age of 3. When he heard this he was not pleased at all. I took a look at the basement private hall which had an awful damp toilet smell, I raised this concern with the staff member. The menu I selected was £17 per head and he expected me to pay this price for the children. I suggested he charge £10 per child but he said no and kept being very aggressive and  using an unprofessional tone. He then asked for a deposit of £200, I agreed to pay £100. When I took out my bank card he said no, he wants cash and again started getting very rude While this conversation is happening his staff are smirking and laughing. To anyone planning a party here, please be careful, Mr zaza is not there to give you a nice experience but its more about making money and being plain rude. Zaza management turned out to be very unreasonable and it did not seem right to give our hard earned cash to them.

The atmosphere was really good there was a traditional Turkish music playing at the background. The waitress was very friendly and the service was really good. We ordered lamb chops and chicken wings and they were really juicy and had good flavours.

Chicken jalfrezi was very bland and flavourless, also strangely full of huge chunks of raw ginger. I had "large" which was on the small side of average. Pilau rice was a bit soggy and for some reason had peas and carrots. Naan bread was pretty good. The meal was hugely overpriced.

Used to be a family favourite.. NOT ANYMORE! Terriable customer service. Manager has no manners and is very rude and unwelcoming. Due to the appalling customer service my family and I will not be stepping foot in Zaza’s again! Food is very basic too. I do not recommend this place. You are better off going to HFC across the street to be honest. At least the customer service will be good and you’ll actually want to spend your money there.

First time tried it & the bread complimentary was undercooked inside- meat was cooked well but smelt & well under flavoured- rice portions was absolutely small not even a full scoop. No enthusiasm or passion from the underpaid chefs. Owner interacts ok but has little experience in the food industry- just a man with some money copped up a place on lease by luck. Definitely over priced for a new joint where there is many restaurants to choose from with similar cusine with much more experience In the food industry. You need to build a trust with customers first by giving complimentary offers on the table before you think you can get rich on a quickie by charging similar prices as your competitors. Definitely not going back any more untill I see many improvements that needs to done. Customers are king because of them you get wealthy so give them what they want not what you need.

The restaurant is class! Serving hot quality food (Turkish dishes) alongside a well established dessert parlour (premium ice-cream). A welcoming and friendly team of staff. A place to visit with family or friends as you have all your cravings served in one restaurant. A very interesting fusion of two separate caterers in one place - no need to go elsewhere. Highly recommended.

Food quality, taste and freshness should be top priority. I must stress you guys have to improve quality and freshness of your salad...

Walked in because I was starving and it was the closest place near me. Walked out extremely happy with the lucky choice! Doner (especially the lamb) was absolutely delicious, and both servers and management were warm and kind. The plate completely filled me up and was gigantic so I have leftovers for tomorrow. Highly recommend!

Zeer smaakvol vers halal eten. Niet eerder zo'n heerlijke biryani gegeten. Vriendelijke bediening. Ik zou hier graag weer willen dineren als ik Londen weer bezoek.

Pensé que entraría y probaría la comida después de que el informe reciente publicara un periódico local sobre su higiene. Aunque el verdadero lugar era bonito, tengo que decir que la comida no sabía muy bien. Nos mantuvieron esperando un rato, a pesar de que había otros 2 clientes en! Tengo que decir que para un sábado fue una sorpresa muy grande.

Estaba cerca y ansiaba un curry. Este restaurante se veía bien desde el exterior y no me decepcionó. El menú era bueno, el servicio excelente y la comida deliciosa. Como era de esperar, no sirven alcohol, pero se trata de un pequeño precio a pagar por una excelente comida. Sin duda volvería de nuevo.

This restaurant is in the heart of Bangla town in London. We had chosen it as it has a function room in the basement and at the time of booking the owner was very pleasant and agreed to various request we had made for our party.

El peor servicio que he experimentado. Fuimos como un evento familiar y reservamos hasta 35 personas. Tuvimos 9 niños y 7 menores de 5 años. Cuando hicimos la reserva dijeron que los menores de 5 años eran gratis y que 5-10 eran a mitad de precio y luego los precios normales por cabeza para adultos. ¡Cuando llegamos nos dijeron que a todos los niños se les cobraría lo mismo que a los adultos, que era de 17 por cabeza! Esto fue extremadamente engañoso por teléfono, se sentía como si solo quisieran obtener la reserva sabiendo que un grupo tan grande no podría llegar a algún lugar con poca antelación si nos marchábamos. Luego, también intentaron hacernos pagar por 35 personas cuando solo 29 personas (incluidos niños) realmente llegaron. Esto nos hizo sentir incómodos y una mala vibra. El personal hizo para intentar dar un buen servicio, toda la comida se dejó en la mesa a la vez, la comida era extremadamente cara para lo que se ofrecía. Esta fue una experiencia horrible, tendría cuidado ya que lo que se dice no es lo que ofrecen.

Mi familia y yo habíamos reservado Zazas para una pequeña fiesta de compromiso el 25 de octubre de 2018. Había escuchado críticas sobre el restaurante, pero aún así decidimos reservar ya que estaban en una buena ubicación. Interior y acabado del restaurante se veía preciosa. Para ser honesto, era mi segunda función a la que había asistido y la primera vez no estaba decepcionado con nada, solo escéptico con respecto a la entrega del servicio.

Cucina tipica indiana, abbastanza speziata e molto varia, vicino all'Ibis hotel ed aperta fino a tardi. Noi siamo arrivati oltre le 21 di un giovedì sera nell'aprile 2017, stavamo festeggiando un compleanno e molti dei commensali erano vestiti con abiti tipici. Prezzi giusti e porzioni abbondanti, servizio veloce.

Tout près du ibis Budget Whitechapel, pour manger un repas indien authentique. Ici, on ne fait pas moins épicé pour plaire au plus grand nombre et c'est un bonheur! Grand choix de plats, y compris végétariens. Choix entre petite et grande portion très appréciable: si vous n'avez pas un énorme appétit, la petite suffit largement.

Am a regular visitor to this authentic Punjabi restaurant & always enjoy my visit. Friendly welcoming service & a good selection of dishes. Mixed grill starter was excellent and followed by the daily special which was equally good. BYO with our own beer & wine.

Restaurant sympa et halal. Très bon repas mais ultra piquant impossible personnellement de finir le butter chicken pourtant demande non épicé mais ultra piquant quand même.

Empezamos con parrilla mezcla, kebab, pollo, carne de cordero y sabor de goma y totalmente insípido.

I had a party for 60 people here recently and found the place to be an utter disappointment - I would not recommend this place and wish I had not come across it for the special occasion in which it had been booked. 3 example of how terrible it was:

We ate here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times were fairly quiet--surprising, since the food was quite good.

We ordered a large mixed grill and 2 biryanis. 1 chicken and 1 lamb biryani. Waiter was very nice. Food came out in good time. Grill was lovely but the Biryani was such a disappointment. It was not nice at all. It tasted sticky and rice was not nice at all. Very disappointing costing £7 for each 1. I did mention this to waiter but he was insisting that is how a biryani should be. Not happy.

I ordered a Chicken Jalfrezi, not quite sure what I was given, but it was definitely not a Chicken Jalfrezi. It didn't have any real texture to it and was very watery. It was a poor excuse for a curry. The service was also terrible and I was over charged on my bill. I didn't want to make a fuss, so I just payed it and left.

Goed gegeten. Lekkere smaak. Bediening was oké, niet overdreven vriendelijk. Eten kwam snel. Ach gewoon prima te eten voor een normale prijs.

We had a very good meal here, starting with the mixed grill starter. We went at a quiet time and the staff were friendly and helpful and everything came to the table just at the right time. The chicken with spinach was delicious as were the lamb dishes we had . In fact it was all very good. We would reccomend it and will return . It was good we could book a table as we were all meeting up and arrived at slightly different times this meant we could sit with some snacks while we waited. The fact you can bring your own drinks is very good .

We visited -probably at a quiet time. We have to report that the food was absolutely wonderful - delicious - and we had many dishes between 6 of us. Definitely a return in the future.

Das Ambiente ist wirklich „indisch“ - laut, vor allem durch TV- und Musik-Beschallung. Das Essen ist ok, aber auch nicht mehr. Der Service ist eher nachlässig. Preislich ist das Zaza für das Angebot ok.
