Gutes Filipino Street Food, was man in der Form sehr selten ist. Es gibt eine kleine, aber feine Auswahl und die Location ist top! Ein Must-try

Ordered the pork belly with noodles. Great tasting food in their 7 Dials Market venue. I initially was going to eat in the communal area of the market but when picking up the food I did ask if I could in which they oddly refused. That said, nice friendly staff and great tasting food.

We heard great things about seven dials market and it is my type of a place to eat. This is what London food experience is to me. As a (norwegian) filipino I was happy to see Bong bong kanteen. When we first arrived there saturday evening (11.02.23) the waiter misunderstood my order and charged me for 2 dishes and 2 beers for 46 pounds instead of 1 dish and 2 beers for 27 pounds. After I tapped my credit card the waiter said my payment didn’t go through the system because there were no recipt printed out even though it was registered on my bank account. As a naive tourist I trusted the waiter(s) believing them i would get my money back. After we corrected my order I had to pay again for my corrected order. After we got a place to sit I had to wait 60 min for my food. I know they forgot my food since there were other guests that came long time after me that got their food before me. If I didn’t ask for my food I believe I wouldn’t have gotten it. The waiter didn’t apologize and just made up bunch of BS excuses. I still had to pay a service fee of 2.45 pounds which I think is crazy. I checked my bank account the day after and it was definitely charged and confirmed by my bank after i called them. I came back to fix this and I was met with the sweetest people. They were so helpful and even talked to the manager (who would personally fix this problem). This is what filipino culture is all about. Yet to see if my money is refunded.

We were looking for an early dinner before the theatre and were faced with a huge range of cafes and restaurants. Then we spied a sign for this food court. Once inside you can choose street food from every cuisine. We had no knowledge of Filipino food, the menu sounded interesting and we chose a Christmas special which was still available. We decided to pay the 10% service charge to eat inside rather than take our food to the communal seating downstairs. We thoroughly enjoyed a generous portion of crispy fried chicken thighs with a cranberry jelly, sweet potato fries and a zingy fresh papaya salad that brought the dish alive. We were pleased we didn’t act upon the waitress’s recommendation to pour the thin gravy over our food as it would have seeped through to the paper liner between the food and the tin tray. This disintegrated under ordinary knife and fork action and we had to ensure bits didn’t stick to the food. Perhaps it would be best to not use the paper on the trays and it’s the only reason why it’s not a 5 star review

If you’re into the tangy flavour of adobo, this is the place to go YES! I tried their wings with adobo glaze with aioli lime, I was in for a greasy meal but it was packed with flavour!

Stopped off for an impromptu meal. Went for the crispy pork and pancakes sharing meal for two and a rice box. Did not enjoy the meal. Pork was rather bland and a little dry even with the sauce provided - which in my opinion was not enough for the number of pancakes given. Also ordered a daiquiri which tasted like a pre-mixed watered-down drink. Handed it back to the waiter who did not seem surprised that it was handed back. When the bill came the drink was still on bill. Waiter apologised and then there was a very long wait for the manager to take it off off the bill with hardly an apology.

Saturday lunch. Nothing special if you can cook filipino food unless you're so hungry. Iced tea calamansi only saving grace from food. Tables need to be clean from curry drippings from previous customer. Us being the first customer of the day can see this well.

Quick stop for a meal before a show at the Cambridge theatre and was great. Having never tried Filipino food, this was a perfect introduction. The rice was especially nice!

Bong bongs is part of the seven dials food market but has its own tables upstairs, so if you are all eating from here you don't have to fight for a seat in the crowded downstairs area. My partner and I were meeting up with some Filipino friends from London and were only a 15 minute walk from seven dials so we took a stroll and had our dinner here. Venue is small and certainly shouts Filipino, but is a little rough and ready. We ordered the lechon crispy pork with jasmine rice , a couple of the mega boxes and some longnnusa sausages with a couple of bottle of San Miguel and calamari ice teas. Was it perfect no, they only had 1 ice tea left, the San Miguel could have been colder , and the pork a little crisper but all in all enjoyable and don't really see many philipine restaurants so deffo worth a visit for me

This review is for Bong Bongs in the Seven Dials food market. Both the food and service was of a very good standard. We had the special of the day which was beef something (can’t remember the name), Satay aubergine, chicken wings and prawn crackers. Everything was so tasty! Yum, I could eat it again right now 😋 The chappy who served us was friendly and attentive but not over whelming. Just right. I would highly recommend this little restaurant and will be back in the future for more scrumptious food ☺️

London is known for its global cultures, but I did not expect Filipino food in the heart of Covent Garden. This was a great pre-show meal, located just next door to the DONMAR theatre, in the wonderful Seven Dials Market.

Was looking forward to try this as I’d heard a lot about this fusion Filipino restaurant. The adobo cauliflower and chicken wings were good. The longanisa was such a tiny portion. The crispy pata served with thin pancakes (a la Peking duck) and Mang Thomas sauce was overdone and dry. The location was noisy (a DJ was playing music downstairs), so conversation was difficult.

Service was great but the food itself was horrid. Took one bite of my meal and the doner meat meal (mixed) was different temperatures, with the lamb being cold and the chicken being lukewarm. Overall taste wasn't there either. Very likely that I caught acute food poisoning.

Best little restaurant in Whitechapel. Shell on king prawn curry is one of the best curries I have ever had and the beef is bhuna excellent. Parathas are buttery and gorgeous. Love it. Next to Greggs opposite Barts hospital. Basic inside but the food speaks for itself.
