Originally was going to take away,as they were empty when we arrived we ate in. We live in waltham chase but rather drive the distance because the food is always good and hygiene rating is a 5*.friendly guys too.

Used to order from here and it used to be good. But ordered food last night and me and my mother were disgusted. Sambal prawns tasted bitter and were inedible, they also had raw Okra in it. The beef rendang was also so salty that it was inedible and we had to bin it. The beef ho fun was nice but the beef was tough and inedible, the only thing they didn’t screw up was the rice. We called to try and sort it out with the restaurant and the woman was so rude. She tried to blame it on me because I put “No coriander” in the order comments as I have an allergy and always write this in case it is used before ordering Asian food. She then made an excuse to say that the flavour was that way due to the peppers in the dish (there were no peppers, only raw okra which is weird). We can only come to the conclusion that the chefs mistaken Okra for peppers 🤷🏻‍♀️ Their attitudes were just complacent and rude and another guy even said, “If it is too salty, eat more rice with it”. We were offered 2 free dishes for our next order but with that attitude, I won’t bother. Just wasted nearly £35 for food that had to be binned. Avoid!

Ordered at 6pm for a 7pm delivery. Phoned at 7.25 to see where my otder was to be toldd they are very busy but my order was on its way and put the phone down. Finally arrived at 7.45 food was look warm and the nan bread cold this went straight in the bin won't be ordering again

My wife and I have been using The Golden Elephant for many years The staff are most pleasant and engaging always professional and make it part of the experience of visiting the restaurant The food is second to none in the surrounding area that we have found and we have tried many Thia restaurants and outlets it is a journey from where we live but extremely worthwhile highly recommended. We booked a table last night for a family occasion, we have used this curry house frequently over the years for eating in and takeaway. Unfortunately now the service and quality of food struggles to meet a 5 out of 10. Poor service - forgetting items off your order & generally a miserable bunch of people along with food that has to go back to the kitchen. I think it’s time that the manger / owner sits down and re evaluates his restaurant as it’s now at the point of sink or swim especially in this climate.

Visiting Liskeard for a night and need to fill up after a long day. Everest had a great menu so I popped in. Had starter and a main. The staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly. The food was great. Next time I'm in the area I'll bring the fam.

Had a lovely meal in here, went on a Sunday night. Staff were very good , food excellent , would recommend. Starters and main meals had, exactly as stated on menu...portion sizes very good. Tourist to area and second visit in a few years...
