Fantastic Korean food, polite staff and brilliant choices of songs for karaoke. I loved the sundae (blood sausages). They are very hard to find in Korean restaurants, let alone tasty ones. We were pleasantly surprised by the list of both classic and modern Chinese and Korean songs available. We will definitely be back again! Update: returned to the place for more karaoke and dinner for a birthday party. Had the jajang set for 2- this is a generous portion of jajangmyun, jjampong & sweet & sour chicken. Still as delicious!

Went with a large group, booking was absolutely exceptional. We communicated via e-mail, a few weeks in advance. Jihwaja staff were extremely accommodating and understanding when we had to change the number of our party. Extremely polite, food was amazing, the karaoke was amazing and the people that attended the place were equally as lovely. It's in Vauxhall, which was an amazing neighbourhood and felt extremely welcomed to be there.

Absolutely fab kareoke place. The private rooms are amazing and you can order food into the rooms. I've been here a few times now and the food tastes so great especially the Korean chicken. The staff are so friendly too!

I was surprised I had never came to this place before, the karaoke experience was amazing and had surprisingly many more song options than I expected! The atmosphere was really nice as well as the staff, I’ll be looking forward to visiting with more friends again :)

Great Korean restaurant. Went with a friend who eats halal. She said the food was great. The portions are generous. I had the katsu current found this a bit too mild and creamy. Tasted the sweet and spicy chicken which was amazing.

Karaoke, fortunately not in Korea.. First of all, the Korean female employee is rude and the worst service. I don't want other employees to be harmed, so I don't want to make an impression. He has fake eyelashes, eyeliner, and is a bit bulky. He is truly the rudest staff member I have ever met in London. And even though the time was not over, the staff came and went several times as they pleased, checking the time, and kept coming in even when there were only a few minutes left. Then, they came in with one minute left, told them to stop, and come to the next customer. They cleaned up the customers and left after the time had passed. And I also received the wrong menu. all the worst

I had my birthday here 2 weeks ago. The staff were amazing, they really look after you and make sure you have the great experience you're looking for! The karaoke room has lots of song choices and good vibes all round. Shootout out to Youngmi for making our visit extra special- attentive and professional!

I had the experience of eating at Jiwaja Restaurant and karaoke bar the food here is very delicious they have differrent types of food to choose i tried to eat kimchijeon and jjampong this is the best food i have tasted better than other korean restaurant..While i was eating many people were having fun in the karaoke room..the staff service was very good i diffinitely coming back here with my friends and family..😊😊😊😊😊

Celebrated a birthday party at Jihwaja last week and had an amazing time 🎉We shared the Hansang platter to start, and which was a feast of delicious, authentic Korean dishes that everyone loved. We couldn't resist ordering more, and ordered Budae Jjigae aswell - none of us really stopped eating all throughout the night 👍 The fruity soju added a delightful touch to our meal. The plum and grapefruit are our favourite Afterward, we enjoyed a couple of hours of karaoke in a private room, which was an absolute blast. The atmosphere was lively, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, the karaoke machines are updated frequently so they had most of the songs we wanted. Lots of fun and great memories – we'll definitely be returning again!

Jihwaja is a gem! The Korean food is authentic and delicious, with highlights like the savory bulgogi bbq, rice and spicy kimchi ( any of the bbq dishes really) - but the true highlight of our night was the karaoke, so much fun! The private karaoke rooms added a fun twist to our night out. Friendly staff and a vibrant atmosphere make it a must-visit. Highly recommend for a fantastic dining and entertainment experience! Even if you don't end up having the food, you must visit for karaoke

We (my partner) arrived earlier than our actual booking time. They didn’t mind it and led us to our table. The place is small but cozy. We picked our food and the portions are huge!! I have been looking forward to this experience since going to korea is still not within the reach. They also do have karaoke rooms where you can order food and drinks while singing!! perfect for group gatherings. The price is aligned with the portions they give. We ordered the four seasons chicken. so soft and juicy!! I loved the pickled radish (white cubes in the middle). Next was the Hameul Pajeon (Seafood Pancake) so tastyyyyyyyyy! you have to dip it with the soy on the side and it’ll enhance the taste. Then the Japchae (Original), they have the option of beef japchae if you want but I went for the normal one. It is a bit dry but you won’t regret it. It is stir-fry veg with noodles but they uses glass noodles not the normal noodles that you usually order on like chinese takeaways. Last but not least, my favourite Jjajangmyeon (noodles with black bean sauce), I always have the instant noodles that I buy from Asian supermarkets and I have been wanting to taste it like how it is in Korea (I know it is much better when it is actually in Korea) and I just did through this restaurant. I love it so much. Be warn that they uses thick noodles and it can be a bit heavy to eat it on its own. The sauce was amazingggggg - was wondering maybe it is good to pair up with rice too. Maybe??! You can also bring home if you have any food left (If you want). so I do recommend this place for couples and even group of friends. Hope you’d enjoy your experience at their place. You need to book first so you can secure a spot ☺️

The food was overly salty to the point of being inedible, and the prices were ridiculously high for the quality provided. The pancake was a huge letdown dry and soggy the worst you’d ever expect from a Korean place!I won’t be ordering from here again. Stay away from them

Let's start by highlighting that Jihwaja is a really small place and their entrance is quite narrow do you start creating this image and expectations of the place based on that but the place is way better than you think it is at that point. Even though it is small and narrow, this place's food was amazing. It truly felt made with love and had an amazing taste, they had typical Korean drinks and a wide variety of them. The staff was really friendly and a nice person who always ensured we were enjoying our time there and that we were comfortable. Jihwaja is also a karaoke bar and it had quite a few rooms so I can only imagine how fun that would be when I go there again. The prices were good as they weren't expensive and compared to other places it was even cheaper than expected for the quality they offer to their customers.

Aside from the taste of the food, there is a karaoke room so the meal is very noisy. I can't tell if it's a Korean restaurant or a Chinese restaurant, so I think I'll just eat a hamburger. I did it

Immaculate vibes for karaoke with friends. We had about 12 people for dinner and 3 or 4 hours of singing. Ended up being like 80 quid per person for the night but that was including a lot of Soju and food (amazing Korean fried 🐔) couldn't fault the place

This korean restaurant Jihwaja is fantastic, serving up dishes that taste just like the real deal in Korea. The service was excellent, great communication. About the food, the soy garlic fried chicken is super crunchy and perfect for chicken fans. The seafood pancake is a standout—it's thick and loaded with seafood, not thin and just batter like in other places. And the kimchi soup with pork was said to be tasty for my korean friend. In a nutshell, dishes reminds me of the numerous trips to Korea that I took, but does it in a way that's extra special and yummy.

I was guided by God himself and the food is certainly divine. From the outside the building front does not inspire you to venture through the door. However I believe in taking chances with the philosophy you either get pleasantly surprised or post educated. Just the delicious Korean non alcoholic drinks alone was worth sitting down. The milk based drink simply delicious. I had a egg fried rice...an actual fried egg to top off the best egg fried rice I've ever had. My friend went for the sea food soup. Talk about a generous bowl size that could easily serve three people. As such we could of retired on these two dishes alone. However no experience is complete without some of the best cooked chicken in the chicken world and this place is literally the best restaurant I've ever experienced. My choices of creamy onion sauce with chicken and chilli chicken is one of the hooks why this is my first choice restaurant. Jesus even cares that I have the best food...

Don't be put off by the rather chip shop entrance and hot interior, there's a lovely shisha garden out the back to eat in. The food was good, prices low and service (Fahad maybe?) was excellent. I've driven past this place every week for a decade, so weird to find out how good it is after all this time.

Stumbled upon this gem while hanging around the hotel friends are staying. Food turned out to be very good and authentic and price very reasonable. Ended up coming back the next day with a bigger group and every kid happy. Recommend the fry chicken, kimchi fry rice and pork bibimbap.

Karaoke is way too expensive. I'm not sure if I'll go back. The food is ok and staff is kind.

Wouldn't recommend. Service was mixed but overall slow - e.g. we had to ask multiple times for drink orders, reminding them what we had asked for. Chicken and tteokbokki were decent, but the jeon were terrible. Honestly, I was shocked that this was served. Our seafood pancake came with no seafood, just onions and bell pepper. A nice waitress realised after we asked staff 3 times if this was a seafood pancake, and we were offered kimchi pancake on the house. This was so overcooked, almost deep fried? tasted more like a biscuit. It was a strange vibe, the staff seemed unbothered, there are much better Korean restaurants out there.

Karaoke was fun, haha and I was glad to meet Korean singing room style in the UK To be honest, Service was unsatisfactory. I asked Tambourine for availability and an employee replied that there was no staff, later I discovered that it was there It is assumed that the employee is a new employee.. 😅 they were missing seafood from the seafood and green onion pancake, so I got a new kimchi pancake. I recommend ordering tteokbokki and seasoned chicken.

our initial plan was to have lunch at the other korean restaurant next door but encountered a long queue, so we decided to try this place, and it turned out that the food was insanely good!! the bibimbap was probably the best i’ve ever had? and the seafood pancakes were perfectly crispy!! it’s also crazy that we spent £12 each and got SO MUCH FOOD. staff was super sweet too!

Whilst on a regular job down in London down from the Midlands 2 days per week], myself and colleagues would eat here once, if not twice every week. This would go on for nearly 18 months by which time we had tried pretty much everything on the menu. The food was always amazing and excellent value for money, especially for the quality and the fact it is in central London too. The service was always faultless. An easy 5 stars.

Really enjoyed the Korean Fried Chicken wings here and I will go back when I’m in the area to try other items on the menu. Service was a little inattentive and atmosphere would be improved by playing some music. Shame they don’t do wine by the glass, but I understand why.

Food is just ok but service is bad and if you give a good review you get a free bottle of beer.

Food was average, slapdash and came quite quickly. Not sure what to make of that. service was basic. It look quite dinghy. Not sure why it gets 5 star reviews. I think the offer of a free beer to give a 5 star review is to blame for that. Not sure I willl want to repeat the experience.

Another establishment that bribes for 5 star reviews. Give 5 star and get a free beer. The place was 4 star without this bribe… I guess they want to outcompete the opposite Korean which is actually better.

I enjoy Korean food and Jihwaja didn't disappoint at all. Spoiler alert, I didn't know it was a Karaoke bar as well but while we were eating and hearing some rather off key singing, it took us a while to realise there was a group in another section of the building singing their hearts out. Anyway we ordered a glut of dishes from a mixed platter of KFC to seafood pancake, beef bulgogi and many more. The food was exquisite the service attentive and the atmosphere wonderful. We will go to this restaurant again.

The food arrived quickly and was delicious. Service was prompt but not overly friendly but that doesn't really matter. Nice karaoke room but really expensive for what it is and they don't have a separate screen for choosing songs, the pad for choosing songs is a bit awkward and difficult to use. Had fun though.
