Sickening experience from Raavi Kebab. I have ordered many times before. The original owners are not there anymore. I ordered Nihari and as I opened the box the smell was of rotting meat. I had to throw it away. Never again. This restaurant is now a hazard to humans. Just Eat is a great company. Please do something about this restaurant or I will have no choice but to leave you.

If I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely awful. First time I ordered from them and everything was completely burnt and inedible. The lamb chops were literally 2 charred bones with no meat and the bread was burnt and falling apart. To add to that it took them 1.5 hours to deliver - I live 2 miles away. When I called asking for an update they lied saying they are waiting for a driver when in fact the driver was waiting for 20mins. Every time I tried to call them back they hung up on me. Do yourself a favour and avoid.

Best place for Nalli Nihari and Roti! This establishment prefers cash and all types of cards except for Amex. The service is as usual amazing. Make sure to get there early or you may not get deserts. A go to place if you’re missing Mughlai food. They have a tandoor on which they make fresh rotis. The haleem is excellent and the Nihari is amazing with some freshly squeezed lime. Will definitely leave you craving

I recently visited this restaurant and had a truly disappointing experience. The service was extremely poor; our waiter wouldn't even look at us, leaving us waiting for an unacceptably long time just to get lemon. When the food finally arrived, the nihari was a major letdown, lacking the authentic taste it's supposed to have. Overall, it was a frustrating visit, and I won't be returning.

I've been going here with good friends since the 80's. Yes, last century. It's been a treasured spot and we apprecited the absence of decor and fancy stuff because the food was bang on. Not anymore. The famous thallis have gone, the menu has changed and I suspect the ownership along with it. The food was so poor it is still making me angry. If you need time to inspect the floor of your bathroom then go because thats the only thing it did for me. So shiite.

Raavi Kebab House in Little India, called Drummond Street, London, a beloved London institution for more than three decades, holds a special place in my heart. My family and friends have gathered at this gem countless times, and we've even savoured their delectable dishes through personal visits and online orders. This restaurant is truly one of a kind, marked by exceptional service and an encyclopaedic knowledge of the menu, courteously provided by the General Manager, Mr. Faizaan Patel. What sets Raavi Kebab apart is the remarkable efficiency of their one-man team, led by the ever-attentive Mr. Faizaan Patel. From taking orders to serving food and presenting the check, he seamlessly orchestrates every aspect of the dining experience. His passion and expertise shine through as he describes the nuances of Pakistani specialties, a true delight for those like me, who have known these dishes for almost four decades. The most astonishing aspect of Raavi Kebab is that, over the years, the taste of their cuisine has remained as exceptional as ever. Their Pakistani Kebabs, cooked freshly on the open pit barbecue, are an absolute revelation, and the wide array of Pakistani dishes tantalize the palate like no other. It's a genuine treasure to find such sophisticated and authentic Pakistani cuisine in the heart of London, a place where people from all over the world can satisfy their cravings. Despite the test of time, Raavi Kebab has retained fair and reasonable prices that hardly waver in the face of inflation. This commitment to affordability makes the experience even more enjoyable. But what truly sets Raavi Kebab apart is its unparalleled service. The staff's dedication to providing an exceptional dining experience is second to none. I wholeheartedly wish the management, officers, and staff of Raavi Kebab continued progress on their journey to achieving the pinnacle of success in all their endeavors. I have been eating here since 1990 - when it had only three tables next to the open-fire cooking place, and the backspace did not exist. The old owner, since passed away, used to sit and chat at one table. I no longer need to look at the menu, as every dish is equally well cooked. It is much much better than the Whitechapel joints. Salloos at five times the price is the only comparable Lahori place in London. Over the years, the waiters have changed, but the chef trained by the old lady, has remained the same

An at first sight unsightly place in a back street near Euston station. Immediately next to the door is a small kitchen where a man is grilling meat and further on in the back a few tables. No frills or much attention to the decoration, but a simple plastic tablecloth. You can put together your own menu with various dishes from the menu. and the prices are more than reasonable. The taste and quality is where the attention goes. Can easily compete with more luxurious and expensive restaurants. Would go there again if I'm in the area.

.. for Pakistani cuisine and flavours. I have only known it for a few years and appreciate the no-frills ambience and can count on the fact that the food is the focus. It has incredibly reasonable sticker prices for the freshly made fare that it serves up. I overhead two gentleman at an adjacent table describing how they have been visiting for 4 decades and that they never have to look at the menu! That was a solid tribute to dependable quality and the fact that Raavi Kebab sticks to the basics rather than experimenting with the trendy. I enjoy a lot of their dishes but the freshly made rotis are incredible -- this time I did just the nihari, rotis and a salad. One serving of curry would easily be enough for two so I brought half my nihari home in a take-away container.

I'm all for local, low frills restaurant where the food is the highlight of the experience not the decor. However, when cleanliness is the issue it's a no no. The waiter didn't clean the table before we were seated. The toilet and wash basin area to clean your hands was filthy. The kitchen in the basement opens out to the staircase/ landing before you walk to the toilet so you get full view of the kitchen - anyone could walk in if you went the wrong way. The chefs aprons were filthy. The water jug filled with tap water looks like it's seen better days (we stuck to bottled water). Weren't given napkins or glasses for the water until we asked. Food was so so. The curries were the size of side dishes, considering you're paying £10 per dish really not worth it. It's a shame, it sounds like this place was a real community staple before and now it just screams we don't care about the customer, our food or atmosphere which is a real shame.

He continued to hum around and slowly clear all the table, then continued to slowly clean away while making us wait. No curtesy at all. It went about 10 minutes of waiting quietly and still no order got taken, we decided to ask how long he will take. He rudely said, oh we clean everything before we take next order. We requested to at least have been told about that once we sat down. The guy was so so rude and cold and from his attitude it felt like he was not interested in customers or serving us we decided to leave. He seemed almost relieved to let us go. It was a horrible experience and i wouldn’t recommend going there.

Portion sizes extremely small in comparison to other Pakistani restaurants we order from, pilau rice came in a very small half a desert size container. The chicken Karahi container was quarter filled and was tasty but more of a runny chicken curry. The Lamb Nihari was 1/3 of a container filled compared to other restaurants and not a lamb shank as stated - only had 3 and a half cube size pieces of meat and not a shank at all but charged at full price! Nihari was very hot (chilli hot) which is unusual for Nihari. A very different experience to other pakistani restaurants! I will not be ordering from here again!
