Great local food. You wait in line for nearly an hour. It's a pretty small place but definitely worth it!

Absolutely incredible food. I'll be coming back here as often as possible. A few things to note before coming are: - The venue (read: room) is tiny. You will wait and it will be worth it. The wait is ~1h if you're at the back of the patio and longer if the queue has spilled onto the pavement. - You can order once and only once. Make sure you've decided on every dish you'd like to try, you cannot ask for more once you've placed your order but anything you don't finish can be taken home so order everything that sounds good to avoid disappointment.

Best south east Asian food in London. The laksa and fried noodles are superb and the teh c (milk tea) is even better than those in Singapore and Malaysia. I went to eat there 3 times during my 3 weeks in the UK.

Best Roti in London, we had our normal Mee Goreng ( Mee Mamak Malaysia style), Ayam Goreng Berempah and Roti + Dhal, all very delicious. Our go to place for a good Roti. Reasonably priced. A bit disappointed with the menu gone smaller. Usually long queue 15-30 mins. Food - Halal. Toilet available. Nearest Tube - Euston station

Can’t recommend this place enough, such good value for money. Incredible roti and great curries to go alongside it. The restaurant is rather small though so there are big queues.

The restaurant is quite cramped and a queue builds up infront of the store. If you really want to try, be there before 12pm. We had the roti with dal and char kuey teow which were tasty. The roti was good in texture. Sadly both dishes were too salty for us, diluted with water then it was OK. Would not recommend the dal as pairing, take some of the meat sides. The hot teh tarik tastes like cheap tea with too much sugar. Service was friendly. If there is no queue it's worth a try, but would not wait for more than 5 minutes.

Haven’t found decent roti curry since moving from Singapore and this was great! The roti are fluffy and crisp, beef rendang maybe more of a coconut curry but still delicious and the mutton curry excellent. Kids loved the fried chicken. Thank you Alekhya for the great service.

Horrific service, i specially asked them to include cutlery and even whilst collecting the order I asked if cutlery is in and she replied yes. I get to my train and open the box and there is no cutlery. Wasted money and food.

The sambal that came with the nasi lemak is not considered authentic. Not spicy enough and kinda sour? But all in all, food is pretty good.

Love their food and service. Live a bit far from here but will definitely come again.

Cute place and the food was nice too! Loved the roti canai dahl, which was beautiful and for dessert the sweet roti with condensed milk - absolutely divine! Great milk tea too! Fun atmosphere in the place and nice service :) Only downside is in the evening you have to queue - up to an hour or longer. If you don’t mind that then you’re good to go! Veggies beware though, there are not a lot of options. They were v friendly to make my noodles without meat or fish but they’re tossed in sambal which has shrimp paste in it so might not be for everyone…

Just went in for quick bite so ordered the side dish of 2 pieces of fried chicken. The chicken was quite small in my opinion. The sambal sauce that it came with and that I ordered as an extra were quite salty for me. The roti was perfect though.

Been coming here for years and they have evolved with the times. No longer a cheap grimey basement restaurant now a chain and this is reflected in the prices! My £10 company lunch allowance just won't cut it anymore! Still the food is authentic and tasty. The refurbishment really suits the place. Obviously you still need to queue outside but it's not the quite the hotspot that it used to be where only those who knew knew!

Small basement place with truly authentic food being served up by friendly staff. The Beef Rendang was full of flavour and the meat was tender. Nasi Lemak was on point too. Will go back to try the Roti when we are next in the area.

First time visiting Roti King. We went to the euston branch. The food was amazing, filling, and tasty. You can bring your own booze with a charge. But it works out the same as getting drinks if with a group. The venue is small, and there are no bookings. But the staff are friendly and efficient so turnaround is quick.

Good food but not a very big serving. Lamb murbatak was £10.45. Milo ice drink £4.75. A 10% service charge was added £1.52.

A bit crowded restaurant, you might hit someone sitting behind you. The food is above average especially canai, many different layers of flavours. But the meat is tough and not tender at all. The Nasi Lemak is not using rice with coconut milk.

The roti was delicious ! I would suggest to have different level of spicy for the Dahl. I recommend roti king as the queue goes fast and there are many vegetarian options.

One of the best restaurants in London! I bring everyone here who visits me from abroad and they can’t stop talking about the food for days after. Delicious eats and cosy vibe! PS - definitely get the dessert roti with hot teh tarik at the end :-)

The place is a bit small but the food and the service it was very good.

A bit of a wait to get inside but the staff hustles to get you in. The roti is freshly made and you can see the staff making it. There's limited seating and it's a bit drafty but that's just part of the vibe. Food is reasonably priced for what you get. The Kari Laksa was BANGING. Could have gone spicier tho.

I believe everyone who loves Malaysian food should visit Roti King. The authenticity and quality of food is simply outstanding. Top this with amazing value for money ! This place has it all for a beautiful lunch / evening meal.

Amazing Roti Canai with chicken curry! One of the best roti I’ve ever had. The Nasi Goreng was ok but nothing out of this world. Can’t go wrong with the sweet roti for dessert. Great place and quality for the price we paid. Be prepared to wait in line for a few minutes at least though.

It is in an unassuming alley in the basement but very cozy and cute inside. I had the roti canai with chicken curry and the roti was out of this world: very delicious and flaky. But the chicken curry was average: a good flavourful curry but nothing special. I also had the drink teh tarik and it was yummy. Also, affordable and not too pricy. Overall, I recommend!

The line was a bit long when we were there, but it was totally worth it!

Places like this are a good representation of what dining in and food should be like. There's a reason why it is called what it is because that was the best Roti I've ever had. Flavoursome canai and Nasi goreng aswell. Brilliant place

Our friend came over for a visit, and what better way to introduce her to Malaysian street food than at Roti King? Since our last experience was so delightful, we decided to return to Roti King in Waterloo. We ordered a feast for the three of us, and every dish was a delight. Among my husband’s favourites Char Kuey Teow, we also ordered Nasi Lemak, Kari Laksa and another one of our favourites - Lamb Murtabak, and honestly, we couldn’t choose a winner—they were all fantastic! Even though we were stuffed, we knew we had to indulge in Roti Kaya for dessert! Our Teh Tarik and Teh O Ais complemented the meal perfectly. Thanks once more for making our visit so unforgettable!

Small amount of food for the money. Food was cold - coconut rice was semi-cold, boiled egg was cold, sauce was cold, cucumber was cold. Straight front the fridge. Service / Comfort of eating in was so-so. too much ppl

Food was incredible and appropriately priced. There is always a bit of line but it is definitely worth the wait!

When we came to have dinner and saw a long queue outside, I knew we were gonna be in for a good time. The lemon iced tea was amazing, I was so surprised by how much lemon flavour there was, in a good way. It didn't taste as though I just got a green tea with a lemon wedge. The Fried Chicken was tender and juicy, yet still crispy and combined with the Sambal which packs a punch, this would be a great side dish to share among friends. My friends seemed to have enjoyed their stuffed rotis, but I had my eyes on the Beef Rendang. I was disappointed that I got the rice dish instead of the roti one when I specified which one I wanted but the Beef Rendang was so soft and just melted in my mouth, while the gravy just oozed with the coconut and meat flavour. Definitely a place you should go with friends to catch up and have a good time.

I am a regular customer of them . I am very disappointed with my this visiting. I called my friend from south London to try their food and she wanted something less spicy the manu says a food that doesn’t have 🌶️ . But the food was soo spicy that she couldn’t even eat properly. I had order meat for myself and the meat was so hard that I was a big task to chew that . When we complained about food to the waiting they seems not bothered . 😕 I waste £50 with this visit . Very disappointed and we wait in the queue in this cold for 15-20minutes .

The store is a bit small and there are not enough tables so you have to share a table with others. But the roti canai is so delicious. I ate two of them in a week. I love this curry so much. It is the food I will miss after leaving London.

Basement, no-frills, hidden gem tucked in between Euston and King's Cross. Outstanding laksa - possibly the best I've ever had outside of Singapore/Malaysia. Excellent value, too. Wish I could've tried many things on the menu - and plan to return.

Quick efficient, tasty, not spectacular but ok. Fried chicken very average but roti with lambe and lamb mutabak were good.

The food is fine, nothing exceptional. A bit overpriced for what you recieve but they are busy for a reason. The one time I got in, the restaurant was virtually empty with staff not working as hard as they usually would. I had to keep asking for everything. My drink, food everything. I am surprised the waiter remembered to sit me at a table. The service is subpar for such a busy place.

Be aware when paying and when tapping to pay. Food was OK but can you explain why 10% service charge was added without letting the customer know. I came on my own have a small bite, given a bill for just over £13 but I noticed on my account you ahve taken out £15.29. It's the principle of it. Please explain.

Wonderful food. Lots of different spices that make the dish so authentic. Just need to note that it’s a small place, there’s a long queue and you may need to wait. But the food worth the wait.

¡En cuanto me enteré de lo de Roti King necesitaba visitarlo! Es un pequeño lugar genial, pero no se puede reservar y probablemente tendrá que hacer cola. Visitamos un jueves por la noche y hicimos cola quizás 30-40 minutos. Entré y tuve que compartir mesa con otros 2 pero todo bien. Pedido roti y curry - un pescado un dal y 2 lados. La comida era fabulosa, caliente y picante y el roti era delicioso. El servicio fue amable y eficiente. Luego pedimos un roti dulce con ghee y leche condensada, una de las mejores cosas que he comido. Al salir me quedé un minuto viendo al chef haciendo roti tras roti y es un poco de habilidad. Con todo, sin duda volvería y bien hecho con ellos por crear un pequeño negocio tan fabuloso.

Overrated. The food is extremely salty, to the point of inedible, and the complexity of the flavours of different ingredients is drowned out by lots and lots of soy sauce. Very disappointing. Portions are also tiny.

Very disappointed. I had nasi lemak, the rice was reheated in a microwave, the chicken was dripping oil and the sambal was not sambal! It was a spiced satay sauce! I felt cheated! My wife who is from Brunei was also let down by her kway teow. She described it as soggy and unauthentic. We also got rotti as a side, it was the only thing that was not bad. I love malay cuisine and I have plenty of great and authentic experiences having been many times in Brunei, Malaysia and Singapore. In London as well there are some amazing hidden gems.

Overall it was okay, the dish woth rice was a bit bland, but the other one was better! We waited in a queue for 20mins, but once we got inside the service was very quick!

If you know, you know!! If you don't know and you're after authentic, delicious homemade roti and curry at a very good price, this is for you. Roti King is a "hole in the wall" and I travel miles out of my way to eat here, because this place is special. It's small, with shared tables but that's no biggie because it's clean with friendly staff and the food does the talking!! Warning-If you want a bougie, Instagram worthy resturant with mediocre food you will never remember eating, this ain't for you!!

Met my now boyfriend here one year ago after the waiter asked if we could sit together (we both came alone for lunch). The food was amazing then and still amazing now. Get the roti canai, you won’t regret it!
