Absolutely loved it. We waited for 35 minutes before we got a table. But, it was worth the wait! Amazing service, fast and efficient. Whether it be Singaporean or Malaysian, every dish has the authentic taste. Recommend going in smaller groups as it will be faster to get tables.

Very nice discovery! It's a change from other Asian restaurants. The egg pasta with chicken/shrimp/tofu, excellent, spicy as it should be. The dish alone is a little light, it is advisable to take a roti to share with two people, which is also very good.

I love this place so much, the only thing stopping me from coming here more often is the long queues that always form at it's entrance! A Malaysian street food restaurant focused on rotis and some curries, the flavours are incredible and warming. I strongly recommend the mutton roti canai (curried mutton with the signature roti bread) or the murtabak (stuffed roti bread) that is accompanied by Dhal Kari (lentil stew). Mouthwatering as they are, they are not too spicy, and are well washed down with their drink offering, teh tarik ("pulled" black milk tea) being my personal favourite. If you are in the area and want to try some heavenly roti, endure the queue and enjoy it, 100% recommended.

This is the second time I have been here. While the price have gone up but quality is still good. No issue with the food, they are really good. However, I found it a bit of a cheek to ask sit in customers to order any takeaway at the same time as their eat in meal, I was suspicious that they would charge me service charge for the takeaway and the most certainly did. I found this to be absolutely taking a mickey when enquired with the waitress, she said it was only for the eat in food which was clearly not, as it was doubled. I ordered one meal to eat in and one to take out but service was charged on the total, included the item listed as takeout. That's very disappointing, while the charge wasn't a big amount but just leave me with bad taste as it was a blatantly scamming customers for extra service charge. It will be a long time before I'd tink about returning and customers watch out, do NOT order your takeaway at the table when eating in to avoid being scammed.

Hi, I emailed and sent a dm but did not get any response until now. I just realized i overpaid for my dinner at Euston branch last Saturday. I know it was very reckless of me but i realized the difference in amount when i opened my supposedly online order pick up i was trying to place while queuing. Long story short. I did not ask for any receipt or took the tab. Just taped my phone for payment and went off to catch my train. I only took a photo of the food i received before eating. I was charged for 5pcs chicken when i was only served and consumed 2pcs with the Nasi Goreng and paid 23.01. Somehow, it's my fault for not checking, but i was complacent in a way too naive. Can you please help me sort the few quids back? They can also confirm and double check with the cameras as i was dining alone and sat by the door. Looking forward to your response. Thank you.

We were looking for a place to eat fish close to where we were, and this place came across us on Instagram. We looked at the bill and there was a special baked sea bass wrapped in leaves that my chef had made. We went with this dream. We waited in line for about 25 minutes. We were very sorry. . We showed them the pictures and they said they don't make this dish here. We said okay, so we asked for other specialties. We wanted soup, two spinach and plain, two juicy cases and three different dishes. Except for the watery bowls, everything else was not tasty at all.

Oh yes, the roti canai's are definitely something to write about. They are absolutely delicious! Each time I visit, without fail, I have to order the roti canai (the chicken and fish are my fav)! Ayam goreng Nasi goreng Nasi lemak Beef rendang Kungkung Teh tarik - 1 glass is just not enough Although the roti canai's are undoubtedly a 5, the rest of the food is a 4/4.5. I still haven't made it to desserts! The restaurant is in a small basement which is very basic, as is the service. If you can see beyond this, you'll shortly realise it's all about the food.

Hidden gem in London! It’s a small, no-frills Malaysian restaurant, but the flavors are absolutely incredible. The roti canai is a must-try; crispy and delicious, and paired with mutton or beef rendang, it’s simply amazing. It’s a humble spot with no flashy decor, but the food speaks for itself. If you’re looking for authentic Malaysian flavors in a cozy, low-key setting, this is the place to be. However most of the times there’s a massive queue, so be well prepared to wait, because they only do walk-ins!

I finally tried Roti King for the first time. We were lucky and went later in the evening so only queued for under 10 minutes. The restaurant is very tight and cosy. I ordered the murtabak (filled roti) with lamb which is served with daal. The daal was tasty and the murtabak was good although slightly lacking in flavour. I also ordered the Ayam Goreng Berempah (fried chicken) which was good. If I visit again the roti canai or beef rendang looked like a better option, my friends all enjoyed their meals. For dessert I had the Planta (condensed milk roti) which was great, my favourite out of everything I ate. Roughly £22.50 after service charge for dessert, small main and side. Fairly normal for London these days. Overall, tasty although for me didn't quite live up to the hype. Probably not worth queuing for a long time.

However, I was in the area last night and decided to join a relatively short queue (two groups of people in front of me). I had a fish curry roti and fried chicken, my partner, a vegan nasi goreng. Overall, the experience and food didn’t live up to my expectation. Pleasant as they are, I didn’t think the food stand out from other south Asian places I have been to in central London. Roti King is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had, and I couldn’t wait to bring my twin brother there after trying it a few days ago. Yes, the queue can be long, but let me assure you—it’s worth every second. The food is authentic and truly hits home, especially for us. Coming from Yemen and growing up in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, where Malaysian cuisine is so prevalent, Roti King brought back nostalgic memories. We opted for the Roti Canai Chicken, and honestly, you just can’t go wrong with it. The curry was perfectly spiced, rich, and comforting—one of the best I’ve ever had. It kept me full all day, something very few meals can achieve! The tea? Wow. It’s easily the most amazing tea I’ve ever tasted, and we even traveled 1.5 hours for this experience, which I’d gladly do again. The chefs were incredible—we had the chance to meet them, and they instantly recognized us as identical twins. That probably made their day, especially since we dress the same! Roti King feels like home, from the cozy atmosphere to the unforgettable food. I’m already planning to bring my dad here soon. Highly recommend!

The wait is ~1h if you're at the back of the patio and longer if the queue has spilled onto the pavement. - You can order once and only once. Make sure you've decided on every dish you'd like to try, you cannot ask for more once you've placed your order but anything you don't finish can be taken home so order everything that sounds good to avoid disappointment.

Fun atmosphere in the place and nice service :) Only downside is in the evening you have to queue - up to an hour or longer. If you don’t mind that then you’re good to go! Veggies beware though, there are not a lot of options. They were v friendly to make my noodles without meat or fish but they’re tossed in sambal which has shrimp paste in it so might not be for everyone…

Just went in for quick bite so ordered the side dish of 2 pieces of fried chicken. The chicken was quite small in my opinion. The sambal sauce that it came with and that I ordered as an extra were quite salty for me. The roti was perfect though.

Small basement place with truly authentic food being served up by friendly staff. The Beef Rendang was full of flavour and the meat was tender. Nasi Lemak was on point too. Will go back to try the Roti when we are next in the area.

Been coming here for years and they have evolved with the times. No longer a cheap grimey basement restaurant now a chain and this is reflected in the prices! My £10 company lunch allowance just won't cut it anymore! Still the food is authentic and tasty. The refurbishment really suits the place. Obviously you still need to queue outside but it's not the quite the hotspot that it used to be where only those who knew knew!

Great food, small space so you may have a wait for the seats but worth it. The laksa is my favourite! Halal! Only negative is they sell coca cola.products - please change this and I'll be a regular again!

Food is great. Toilet outside is a misunderstanding.

The food was pretty standardly good, definitely been toned down for western palates which made me a little sad. But if you are looking to expand you food circle its definitely a good place to go.

Visited for dinner over a week ago. Ordered a vegetable thali for £19.95 - bland and luke-warm curries. Mutter paneer was the worst I've ever eaten. My partner's special chicken curry was delicious so there are clearly some dishes they do well. The poppadoms and dips to start were also decent. Won't be going back.

Really tasty and modestly priced food in an intimate and calm space. The staff made us feel very looked after. Highly recommend
