Great place, very unassuming spot. It was packed, I came at 2 expecting to avoid the lunch rush but they only had room for me! Shitake rendang was delicious, great sized portion, staff friendly and food very quick. My only critique would be I wished they had vegan roti!! It looks like they used to, and I would have loved to have tried it

Roti King absolutely lives up to the hype. I had the curry laksa and it was incredible — rich, spicy, and packed with flavour. The roti was perfectly flaky and buttery, just like you’d get back in Malaysia. Honestly, I loved everything I tried. The service was quick despite how busy it was, and the whole experience brought a real taste of home. Can’t wait to come back!

Indonesian here, and I’ve lived in Malaysia for a couple of years. The food’s legit, they don’t hold back on the spice at all. I could feel the heat in my gut after the meal, and I loved that! If this were in Malaysia, I’d probably call it average, but having it here in London really brought back memories. That says a lot about how authentic it is. It’s not something I’d crave constantly, but I’m giving it a 5 because the overall rating is way too low. It definitely deserves more love. Char kuay teow 4.5 ⭐️ (noodles aren’t ‘burnt’ enough tho!) Curry laksa 4 ⭐️ Queued around 15 mins for lunch on a Sunday

Amazing food for reasonable prices. Definitely worth visiting. The place is small and atmosphere can be awkward/uncomfortable so perhaps this is better as a takeaway place until they renovate it.

Scammer, he steals money and pretends that they misheard. I am a simple French tourist and I lost £8 because I had to pay in cash because in this restaurant they only pay by card and not in cash, knowing that I had asked if we can pay in cash and one of the cooks said yes even though it is false.

A very small restaurant and highly packed. We waited approx half an hour (if not more) to dine in. However, it was surely worth the wait, super delicious and filling. I felt a little rushed to eat and quickly leave given the queue outside which wasn’t really pleasant. The tables are also really close to each other which was awkward. Their home made Malaysian tea was tasty!

Food hasn’t been as good recently, now has service charge & has removed NHS discount.

There was a queue, but thankfully the wait wasn't too long when we visited. It's a tight space and can get noisy. Service was fast, with food and drinks arriving quickly. The portions were generous, and the flavors, especially the chicken curry, tasted authentically delicious. If you're visiting with a larger group, be prepared for a potential wait for a table.

Food was nice overall, and reminded me of typical Malaysian we enjoyed overseas. We liked the Teh tarik, roti kaya with coconut ice cream, chicken curry. I appreciated the rotis. Maybe with our fussier taste buds & compared to our experiences in other countries, we were expecting a bit more with the Sambal sauce we requested as extra (it was not the typical shrimp paste we were used to) & would have preferred the fish pieces in the curry to be ‘kingfish’ (just for that extra bit of quality and to live up to the reputation of ‘king’:) Although the Dahl was tasty, we would have liked it in pieces format rather than in thickened paste. Aside from this, I would certainly want to come back every so often!

Genuinely unsure what the hype is about. The food was average, service was prompt if a little rushed. The nasi lemak could have come with more sauce but it certainly got to the table quick enough, I'd say we were served within 10 minutes of ordering but I must admit I'd be underwhelmed/disappointed if I'd queued to get a seat. It's worth visiting but definitely not the best Malaysian food experience you'll have In London.

Roti king remains one of the best Malaysian food places you can get. The roti is fluffy and crispy! The rendang, the dhal and the sweet banana roti are amazing. The wait thankfully was not long.

Cheap and tasty Malaysian cuisine!

Oh yes, the roti canai's are definitely something to write about. They are absolutely delicious! Each time I visit, without fail, I have to order the roti canai (the chicken and fish are my fav)! Ayam goreng Nasi goreng Nasi lemak Beef rendang Kungkung Teh tarik - 1 glass is just not enough Although the roti canai's are undoubtedly a 5, the rest of the food is a 4/4.5. I still haven't made it to desserts! The restaurant is in a small basement which is very basic, as is the service. If you can see beyond this, you'll shortly realise it's all about the food.

So disappointing, been eating here for 5 years now and my recent visit was truly a let down. The food was tasteless, the char kway teow quantity was embarrassing as the plate was filled with bean sprouts to make it seem fuller and the roti canai was tasteless the curry had no flavour whatsoever and the service was so bad they forgot our food and made us wait 15 mins and more in between our food.

Visiting London from up north in Cumbria & tonight was my first time visit to Roti King! Ridiculously fresh ingredients bursting with great flavours! Fun energetic atmosphere and the staff made me feel like I was the only one dining there. The queue was about 5-10 minutes to get inside but SO well worth it! I’m here for 4 nights so I suspect I’ll have another meal at Roti King before the train back home to the Lake District! Highly recommend! 💜💜

My first time in London and my first visit in London was Roti King. Because of my first time, I asked for recommendations. The menu was then explained to me and each group was given a recommendation. I found the explanation very, very helpful and made my decision accordingly. Definitely recommended.

I ordered from this place through uber eats yesterday, this is was the worse food I ever got in London to the point where I couldn’t have another bite and ended up throwing away the whole thing, I ordered the mee goreng noodles which my friend has recommended but was shocked at how bad it smelled and tasted, very disappointing food never ordering from this place again.

Utterly fantastic. Just go and experience a warm atmosphere with delicious eats. Four people showed up for the diner and we spent about 85 euros to get the following- 4 separate karis, one nasei lemak, two extra Malaysian fried chicken, and two milo drinks. Note- we showed up at 7pm and had to queue for 30 minutes due to how popular and small the place is. Furthermore, the bathroom is outside of the restaurant.

Ordered takeaway twice from Roti King - roti are excellent and although the curry’s have an amazing depth of flavour the portion sizes are rather small for the price hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

This is truly the best place to travel in Europe!!! I came here because it was close to the hotel, but there was a wait, so I waited for about 30 minutes thinking I was guaranteed a good restaurant! I can see why this place always has a line up and is so popular in London. The service is great and the vibe is so energetic with the tables and crowd. I went around 9pm on a Mon and had to wait about 5-10 mins. Just me so got a table fairly quick. Ordered the Roti and Mutton Curry. The roti was great and the curry was delicious. However mutton was a little tough. I’d recommend Chicken Curry or Beef Rendang. I’ve been to their sister location (Gopals Corner) and liked their roti a bit more. It was flakier and crispier. Other than that, everything was superb. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience from start to finish! The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the whole place had such a warm, inclusive vibe. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavour and generously portioned, even the sharing plates were more than enough! Will definitely be coming back.

Visited this place because of the TikTok hype, and trust me — it did not disappoint! I ordered the mutton roti — the paratha was super crispy, flaky, and perfectly cooked, while the mutton was incredibly tender, bursting with rich, bold spices, and warmth in every bite. Complete 10/10! We also had the char kuey teow — the noodles were soft and packed with flavours. And don’t miss the cold teh tarik — it’s a must-try drink! Overall, the experience was amazing. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth the hype!

Discovered this place whilst looking for somewhere to eat as it was a recommendation but we didn't know it was in this area. There was a queue when we got there but we decided to wait. Restaurant was very small but was full. We understood after ordering and eating. Food was excellent. The roti was very very good - both in the main and in the dessert. Queues continue to be outside throughout our stay there. This little place is truly deserved being recommended and I highly recommend it to anyone. Well worth the wait in the queue!

Location 10 minutes walk from St Pancras station, there is often a queue, I had to wait 30 minutes to get a table. I ordered Laksa Noodles typical of Malaysia, the bowl is not very big but the taste is really authentic like in Malaysia or Singapore. But it is the roti that is incredible, it is made minute, there is a person who is dedicated to making rotis I highly recommend this place for Malaysian dishes. I will definitely return.

Roti King was recommended by my friend and my experience has been very positive. I have truly enjoyed my time and the food served. The food at Roti King is freshly made, so you are able to see how it is made whilst waiting. The food served was full of flavours and not spicy with fluffy thin roti served alongside. I will be visiting Roti King again as I was very satisfied with their service and food.

The service was great but the food was lackluster. Little to no flavour in any food. The amount of food for price was absurdly lacking.

I visited on a weekend lunchtime. It's a popular store, so there was a line of about 10 people in front of the store. There aren't that many seats, so you'll have to share your seat. The food is authentic and reasonably priced.

Lugar muy pequeño y asientos bastante incómodos (puestos solo) pero vale la pena para la comida. Recomiendo ir a este lugar temprano ya que suele haber cola. La comida es realmente deliciosa y recomiendo el pollo canai con roti. El Roti se hace fresco en el lugar y se puede ver a los chefs hacerlo a través de la ventana. Las porciones son bastante pequeñas, pero para un almuerzo / almuerzo ligero o comida barata en Kings Cross es perfecto. Definitivamente volveré

Absolutely loved it. We waited for 35 minutes before we got a table. But, it was worth the wait! Amazing service, fast and efficient. Whether it be Singaporean or Malaysian, every dish has the authentic taste. Recommend going in smaller groups as it will be faster to get tables.

Very nice discovery! It's a change from other Asian restaurants. The egg pasta with chicken/shrimp/tofu, excellent, spicy as it should be. The dish alone is a little light, it is advisable to take a roti to share with two people, which is also very good.

Great place - amazing food . Went with my daughter for lunch - the place is tiny but the people are professional and the food is what you go for and we couldn’t fault it ! I love this place so much, the only thing stopping me from coming here more often is the long queues that always form at it's entrance! A Malaysian street food restaurant focused on rotis and some curries, the flavours are incredible and warming. I strongly recommend the mutton roti canai (curried mutton with the signature roti bread) or the murtabak (stuffed roti bread) that is accompanied by Dhal Kari (lentil stew). Mouthwatering as they are, they are not too spicy, and are well washed down with their drink offering, teh tarik ("pulled" black milk tea) being my personal favourite. If you are in the area and want to try some heavenly roti, endure the queue and enjoy it, 100% recommended.

First time going here, luckily it wasn't peak times. I was greeted straight away and handed a menu. The gentleman was very polite and the smell of the restaurant is divine. Very clean and aesthetic 👌 I will be going again to try more on the menu.

This is the second time I have been here. While the price have gone up but quality is still good. No issue with the food, they are really good. However, I found it a bit of a cheek to ask sit in customers to order any takeaway at the same time as their eat in meal, I was suspicious that they would charge me service charge for the takeaway and the most certainly did. I found this to be absolutely taking a mickey when enquired with the waitress, she said it was only for the eat in food which was clearly not, as it was doubled. I ordered one meal to eat in and one to take out but service was charged on the total, included the item listed as takeout. That's very disappointing, while the charge wasn't a big amount but just leave me with bad taste as it was a blatantly scamming customers for extra service charge. It will be a long time before I'd tink about returning and customers watch out, do NOT order your takeaway at the table when eating in to avoid being scammed.

We made it here during lunch time and were able to get a table quite quickly. If you have a big group of 4 or more, we recommend arriving before or after peak rush! The queue can take some time, but takeaway option is available and quite fast. The Nasi Lemak, Roti with chicken curry, and Nasi Goren were on point. Portion side was decent. The team was friendly and provided speedy service.

Hi, I emailed and sent a dm but did not get any response until now. I just realized i overpaid for my dinner at Euston branch last Saturday. I know it was very reckless of me but i realized the difference in amount when i opened my supposedly online order pick up i was trying to place while queuing. Long story short. I did not ask for any receipt or took the tab. Just taped my phone for payment and went off to catch my train. I only took a photo of the food i received before eating. I was charged for 5pcs chicken when i was only served and consumed 2pcs with the Nasi Goreng and paid 23.01. Somehow, it's my fault for not checking, but i was complacent in a way too naive. Can you please help me sort the few quids back? They can also confirm and double check with the cameras as i was dining alone and sat by the door. Looking forward to your response. Thank you.

Had to wait ~30mins but its so worth it! Came here twice already. First I ordered Roti with Rendang, second I got Roti with Mutton. VERY RECOMMENDED. ESPECIALLY THE ROTI WITH MUTTON. As an Indonesian with high food standards I approve of this place and the kari. Got the murtabak, kwetiau and teh tarik too, and they were good but not as insane as the mutton.

We were looking for a place to eat fish close to where we were, and this place came across us on Instagram. We looked at the bill and there was a special baked sea bass wrapped in leaves that my chef had made. We went with this dream. We waited in line for about 25 minutes. We were very sorry. . We showed them the pictures and they said they don't make this dish here. We said okay, so we asked for other specialties. We wanted soup, two spinach and plain, two juicy cases and three different dishes. Except for the watery bowls, everything else was not tasty at all.

However most of the times there’s a massive queue, so be well prepared to wait, because they only do walk-ins!
