In conjunction between Holborn and convent garden this Vietnamese restaurant is fair enough i did try Pho and rice mix grilled pork and egg before even Lang Son duck but too oily and spiced not anything similar like Vietnamese cuisine. It is locate in center my friends kept asking me to come when we finished school nearby Pho is 7/10 nothing special about The spicy Hue noodle is 5/10 Spicy is yes but salty and lightly sweet I love bun bo hue but I must say No next time and first but not future and very last time I will come again … It is closed to my Uni campus but fair enough I will stick with rice and sườn heo lemongrass if I could join them again

good beef pho with super yummy tender meat (a variety of cuts). however, the noodles (the main part of the dish hence why it is weighed more in my assessment) could be bouncier.

The quality of the place has gone down a lot. The service is especially abysmal and they even charge you for it! Stay away from this place.

The great thing about Asian food is that it often fills you up without feeling sluggish. That applies here. With the best taste. The bowls have a great combination of warm noodles. Meat, sauce and spices. Plus fresh salad with mint (nice combination) and nuts. Nothing to complain about.

My friend and I ordered four dishes and two drinks for dinner. The waiter kept coming over, asking if they could take away plates that were only half-finished, clearly wanting us to leave quickly. When we got the bill, they added a 12.5% tip without asking. Isn’t tipping supposed to be at my discretion? The waiter repeatedly asked if I wanted a receipt, and when I requested one, I discovered they’d added the 12.5% tip. Don’t go there, horrible

Me and my partner eat a lot of viet food. We both rated it a 4 out of 10. Tiny portions with below average quality and very very overpriced. I ordered a beef rice dish and I had about 2 pieces of meat the rest was fat, we won’t be coming back anytime soon.

Probably one of the worst meals I have ever had unfortunately. Most food smelled rank and like old oil. Tried the prawn crackers were really bad and tasted like canola oil. The chicken wings couldn't not eat them because smelled like the chicken was off. The duck was unbearable and couldn't eat it either. One of my friends got sick and was throwing up next morning. I would avoid at all costs. Also quite expensive.

Amazing food and pretty good price range given the area. I moved to London a month ago and was really unimpressed with the food scene till I had dinner here! Seating is a bit cramped and you will overhear people’s conversations next to you but worth it for the food. Spring rolls are simply ok, but the chicken and rice and the beef noodles were amazing.

The food, service, environment are amazing, I really love the beef pho here. Definitely i’m gonna come back.

The food was OK, but the server had no customer service skills and made me feel like I was putting them out by even making an order. I say the food was OK, but let's not forget that noodles are not real food. Pasta, noodles and rice are what they eat in starving countries because they can't afford real food. So to pay £14 for noodles and devoured water is actually insane

I had the summer rolls and the noodle salad bowl with lemongrass chicken and both dishes were very bland and underwhelming. London has so many good Vietnamese restaurants, but this one is definitely not one of them.

I found this Vietnamese restaurant by accident, and I'm so glad I did.The staff is super friendly and kind, which made the whole experience really nice. The atmosphere is warm, and the food is really tasty. Also, portions are really big, so I took half of it for later 😄 Going to visit this place more-

Very delicious rice noodle shop! There is also a Chinese menu! ! This is what shocked me the most! We ordered the braised beef pho, 100 points! ! ! ! Curry beef rice feels like stir-fried beef topped with thick curry sauce. It’s also delicious!

For me not the best for Vietnamese food, and yes I have been to Vietnam which has amazing people and food.

Sliding doors to get in. Comfortable and warm feeling. Generous portions and dishes came out hot. Service was random. Staff were more engaged on their phones. All tasted authentic like in Saigon. Big spring rolls. Broth was pretty good.

You are enticed to sit at the table for lunch due to the convenient offer shown on the billboard outside, the food is good and the speed of service is average... too bad, however, you have to pay attention that the menu is very small and It has been reported that for on-site consumption you must pay a tax on what is consumed! This causes the offer to go from being convenient to being inconvenient compared to the alternatives offered.

Really nice Banh Mi! Absolutely recommended for this area. Service is a little bit stressed (restaurant wasn't crowded) but all in all a nice place.

We visited for a late lunch with our toddler. The waiter got our order incorrect (spring rolls delivered instead of summer rolls that we ordered), we tried to order a basic banh mi with only cucumber and sausage for our toddler and it was provided with pate which we specifically requested without. This was also charged a the full stuffed banh mi cost. Their lunch menu only comes with very limited soft drinks, and the aubergine + tofu banh mi wasn't easy to identify as aubergine and the tofu scarce. Overall, we wouldn't particularly recommend, best possibly to stick to the noodle and rice dishes!

The food is perfect, but I had a UPSET experience. I'm Chinese, and I noticed a mistake on their menu: translating 'PHO' to '前菜（starter)', which is a bit confusing. I kindly suggested that one of the waiters could change that, but the guy was rude and basically meant they couldn't do anything with that. I appreciate that they try to make Chinese experiences more convenient, but if you want to earn your money from Chinese, at least make sure all your translations are correct.

The rice is too dry and a bit hard to chew. I felt the chef didn't take enough time to steam the rice, or put a bit less water to cook, just a litte more moisture better. Otherwise, the pork and duck meat is wonderful. The noodles soup is delicious as well .

Food is mediocre in Asian standard, we ordered pho, soup is lukewarm which is a big issue already. Services are not available, no smile, staff is reluctant to answer questions. Not recommend.

Viet Eat used to be my favourite Banh Mi place. It closed for awhile then reopened under new management. The Banh Mi baguettes have not been as good since. On 15/05/24 my Barbecued Pork Banh Mi had such a huge, un-chewable, piece of fat that I finally had to spit it out. Truly awful now.

If you want a Subway but don’t want to risk being on the toilet the next day, have one of these guys’ Bang Mi! They’re same price as a subway but so much more delicious 🤤 Plus they’re super friendly and it’s cheaper if you order the food to go. Will definitely order my lunch from here again if I’m ever working nearby.

The beef pho that I had tasted great. However, the portion is the smallest that I have come across among the others. I was wondering why they put pho under the starter section. However, the price that they charged is for the main course. I would say that their piece is quite on the price side even for a stair fry vegetable is more than £10 +service charge. The waiters are young and can appear a bit rude. I was confused about the menu as (G) actually means gluten-free and the menu does not tell you what it means. I had to ask the waiter about it. I like the place because the pho was well cooked, so was the jasmine tea I had. I also think they use fresh noodles as the noodles were cut unevenly. There are lots of Gluten-free choices on the menu. However, I am not so keen on the price and also the MSG on the pho.

We were excited to try this small establishment that serves Vietnamese street food because we wanted some warm comfort food and we were impressed by the crowd. Not sure if it was just an off day, but the service wasn't the best, and the food was mediocre. Our server forgot our drinks. My duck wasn't fall-off-the-bone, and most of it was bones and/or a lot of fat. Our experience was also soured by the people who sat next to us in the small space. The woman next to us talked loudly throughout the entire meal, and we couldn't even have our own conversation. All in all, it was a very disappointing first experience.

I got takeaway to eat at home tonight, and while eating, I found a short crinkly (beard?) hair in my rice noodles. I picked it out and kept eating, until I found a second short hair in the noodles. I called the restaurant to report it (without asking for anything) and the worker said I had to come back to show him the hairs in the food and only then he would give me a DISCOUNT. That was a ridiculous response so I asked for a refund. He asked me if he should believe everyone who called claiming there was hair in their food. He proposed that it was my own hair I’d found in the food. Mistakes happen and I trudged forward after discovering the first hair, but businesses have to be accountable for mistakes, too. I’m not going to put the hair back in the food and get into a further argument about whether I really found the hairs in the noodles at all.

I keep coming here regurlarly. The menu provides good choice and I try to go for different things but my favourite is medium-rare beef pho noodle soup. The meat is tender, the stock is flavoursome and the noodles are just right. Fresh parsley, mint and other healthy bits come with it. I never have to wait for food longer than 5-6 mins. Friendly staff who actually remember their customers, are attentive but you do not feel rushed. It is always busy, which is a good sign, but clean. And if I sit facing the window, I can watch the world go by while slowly emptying the bowl of goodness. I look forward to going back already. 5 stars

Place looks nice, but the food is bland unlike what you can get in Vietnam, and the staff just wants you out once you appear somewhat done.

Pro tip : you can ask for opting out the service charge if you feel like the service is off. It is not mandatory for you to pay if you felt they have not done their job well in providing service Do not visit here unless you want your tissue to be taken away before even using it right after you pay. The male Vietnamese waiter around 5ft8 is rude and has been rude since my first visit. He is only nice to non-Asians and dislikes it when Asians ask for other requests eg cutlery.

Poor service especially the vietnamese guy that can't wait to kick people out even though there were no customers waiting outside. Not worth the 12.5% service.

Perfect food and try the banh mi

Went in early evening, and there was only my friend and I. Somehow the waiters are talking super loud, so loud that we couldn’t even hear ourselves. They were also very impatient in ordering food and always rushing to take our plates away (we didn’t even stay more than 1hr). No one deserves this treatment, so don’t visit this place

Visited for Thursday evening pre-theatre dinner as the Peacock Theatre we were going on to is less than a 5 minute walk. Also really close to Holborn station. I'd reserved a table which was well planned as it was super busy! We were sat in the window and promptly served by friendly, efficient staff. The menu is a great selection of Vietnamese dishes, we had sate chicken skewers, vegetable spring rolls, curry and wok fried foo chicken noodles. All were super tasty and arrived quickly! Very reasonably priced. We would definitely recommend and plan to visit again!

probably the WORST vietnamese restaurant LONDON - the pho was tiny and they don't the boy never knew the prices and charged the price and added on service charge : 20,20 for coffee and soup. never again avoid this place _ you can and go to pho 65a long acre INSTEAD : (

Acceptable pho. Not great, not terrible. Small place. Prices are what's expected for London. It caters a lot for the tourist American crowd for some reason. For lunch it's perfect. I wouldn't go here for dinner given how snug and rushed it feels

The service guy was weird and rude. He asked me if I needed receipt, I said no thanks. He repeated thanks like two times using my accent. What are you parrot or something?

They made mistake on our order. They brought out chicken pho instead of beef pho. So they made us new ones but one of the bowls still had chicken in it. They just used the chicken broth for the beef pho and added beef to the bowl. Will not recommend to anyone.

Really nice place to eat. Had lunch here, enjoyed it a lot. My curry was very good and full of flavour. It’s a pity that you guys don’t have prawn baguettes though, wanted to try your baguettes too, as chicken ones look really good. The service was nice and fast, the staff are super cute and friendly! its super crowded. food was nice but the settings of tables and chairs are extremely unsatisfying，cant possibly be more narrow and crowded to eat there，which made the place an undesirable place to enjoy such nice foods.

The pho is of mediocre taste. It felt like hot water with chillies boiled in it. They did not serve any bean sprouts or basil leaves. I had to as for lime wedges. The veggie rolls were tough. Value for money is bad.

I have been here quite a few times. The food is good and feels real authentic. The staff is a mix of both - very kind and rude staff. I remember once the staff was so rude that when I asked for an extra lemon slice, he banged the bowl with the lemon slice on my table and we were all taken aback, the server left without even apologising (ofcourse). It’s very common for them to spill your drinks on you while serving them, so be careful if you are wearing anything fancy or light coloured. I love their chicken curry and rice and the chicken pho. The seating is quite like a canteen concept so it can feel crowded. It’s for a quick meal and not a dining experience.

Came to Viet eat after a long day shopping we ordered bbq pork bahn mi and egg fried rice for takeout it was 9:30pm on a Saturday and we were the only ones there which was surprising because when we ate the food at home it was incredible!! Never had a bahn mi before but will definitely be going back to try the other ones ❤️

Edit: we were asked to make this review in the restaurant, upon a promise of a 10% discount. I felt like I could not be honest. Food was not great, and kitchen was excessively dirty. Previous comment: Service was fast and the food is aligned with street food style. Great portion, I barely could eat everything.

Non-authentic and over-priced food. Terrible service. The fried chicken wings are too salty to eat and the waiters did not bother to ask why they were not even touched. Also, they tried to sit us next to another two customers, although there were plenty of tables available.

If you are Vietnamese and crave Vietnamese food, stop cooking it at home and don't come here to eat. Hue beef noodle soup is exactly a little hot sauce mixed with satay, Lang Son roast duck rice dish is salty and has no taste. When asking nvien for advice on which dish is most similar to Vietnam, the girl in black replied that there is nothing similar. You probably think it's fun, but the guests see it as a compliment to the guests. Food: 1 star, attitude: negative. Going out to eat makes me angry.
