Vietnamese restaurant with generous portions and good service. For starters we had calamari, very delicious, and for the main course we had pho soup and noddles. Everything was pretty good and average price.

The service is direct and very efficient. Seated instantly; great spot for locations and groups. The Bun Bo Chin broth was fantastic and had a great balance of spice. There were maybe two or three pieces of meat - a bit disappointing. Music and vibes were welcoming!

We love Bang Bang!! Bang Bang is one of my feel home canteen since they opened in 2014. Excellent hygiene, convivial, friendly service, fresh and savoury, they have never failed to offer satisfaction to my whole family. My favorite is Tofu with rice, morning glory, green papaya salad with prawns, and salt x pepper squid. They are also very careful with allergy and dietary restriction requests. Outside dining space on Warren Street is very nice and unique!

Best Vietnamese restaurant I ever been!

Lots of outside seating which I loved as we visited on a sunny day! I ordered the Bun Bo Chin - the broth was light yet flavourful, and the meat was tender. Overall quite tasty. Pho here is definitely on their pricier end especially with the service charge added on, but I’d say its worth splurging once every few months 🍜

Spicy brisket pho is not so delicious as I ate before

Chop sticks, Kettlery, silver small plates etc all "cleaned" in same dirty pot of water and dry with same dirty towel in between serving and touching everything else... I used to love this place! Not anymore. Who thought this is a good idea?!!! Zero hygiene. Otherwise kind and polite staff. Such a shame. Destroyed my appetite...

This is a great Vietnamese restaurant The rice noodles are full of meat. The broth is also very rich. The rice bowls also come with enough sauce and meat. The curry actually tastes better than Indian or Thai food. JMT is chicken wings! A taste that both children and adults will love! I recommend it

2/2 items I was trying to get from the short menu was not available. One of the staff members gave an extremely loud monologue all through the time I spent there, with the rather silent and embarrassed assistance of an other one. Otherwise ok.

I recently visited Bang Bang with the hope of enjoying a nourishing bowl of vegan pho. Regrettably, the dish I received was quite bland and watery, lacking the rich, aromatic qualities I love about Vietnamese cuisine. I asked for fish sauce to add some depth, but it skewed sweet rather than savory. My experience suggests that Bang Bang could benefit from enhancing their vegan offerings with a more traditional mix of herbs and spices. An improvement in this area would surely make their vegan options stand out. Eager to see how they take this feedback and evolve their menu in the future!

Excellent fresh food and friendly efficient service. I have repeatedly visited Bang Bang for lunch and introduced friends to the restaurant as I am so impressed with the quality and taste of the food. I have just had the Prawn curry which is served hot in temperature, so delicious, with plentiful prawns. I would also highly recommend my favourite Pho soup the Pho Bo Kho. I can walk in to the restaurant miserable in the winter months and a bowl of this soup changes my whole disposition. I walk out a very happy man. The staff are extremely friendly and the service is always spot on and attentive. Love this place well done guys xx

I came to eat the delicious Vietnamese pho in this restaurant again today! The location is on the roadside, three minutes walk from the Warren Street subway station, and the transportation is very convenient~ Let me share the price! For appetizers, I ordered green mango shrimp salad and stir-fried beef! The mango is sweet and fragrant, and it is mixed with various vegetables. It is really appetizing~ The stir-fried beef is called shaking beef, the best in the universe! The beef is chewy and very flavorful. The seasoning is so good that it looks cool with lettuce underneath! For fried snacks, I ordered shrimp pork rolls and fried fish! Whether it is dipped in dessert or with green sauce, it is very fragrant. I feel that it will be good after eating these appetizers! For Pho, I ordered beef and vegetarian noodles! You can add vegetable fried dumplings to it, and it is so fragrant when soaked in the soup! The beef portion is also super large, and the vegetarian noodles contain tofu, cabbage, vegetarian dumplings and mushrooms, which is really super satisfying! For dessert, you have to eat CHE! It feels like a great dessert with coconut milk and pandan. I can't stop eating it. The content is super rich~ There are five flavors of ice cream to choose from, but it's a pity that Honeycomb and strawberry are too delicious. Caramel and ice cream are also very good! Overall, their family is super good. In my mind, Vietnamese noodles are very special, and many of them are special! This place is very close to UCL, everyone remember to rush! Next time, go to eat meat Pho and ice cream!

We walked in, originally being told 45 min wait time, then our friend went in alone not even 5 mins later and got a table of 5 for us straight away which was a bit odd. Food was fast and delicious!

Got recommended to this awesome retro restaurant by a friend of mine. The food was excellent. I’ve tried a couple of Vietnamese restaurants in London, but this one is by far my favourite. The assistant manager, Ben or so I believe, was very helpful. His recommendations were spot on. The pho bo tai and bun bo tai were very authentic making me feel right at home. Wonderful experience overall.

I was excited to try but it turned out to be super disappointing. The portion size was ridiculously small for the price they charged. The pho was only warm-ish and the rice noodle was broken into pieces. I also found dead flies in my dish. Overall not a pleasant experience and way overpriced.

Bang-tastic! Been here a few times now and the service and quality of food is consistently tasty ! Pho is excellent (rare beef is what I normally go for) and the sides of ribs and squid really top off the meal

It’s ok , I like their vegan pho, but I feel like in a lot of their different dishes like pho and summer rolls, they cheap out on a lot of the noodles and dumplings. Could add more portions

Bang Bang, a Vietnamese canteen near Warren Street, is a relaxed place in the heart of London, near Warren Street. We were strolling by, and the entrance caught our eyes. So, for my birthday, we thought, why not? We love Vietnamese food, and this place has that laid-back vibe that we prefer to pretentious restaurants. Inside, it is relaxed with a retro feel and super cosy. A real escape from the chaos of central London. We went for the noodle soup and some starter dishes, served by the friendliest staff with big smiles. The soup? Mega tasty! The whole place is rocking the retro look – old phones, typewriters, cinema seats – you name it. The wooden ceiling is super cosy. It's just a chill spot that smells as good as it looks. And the prices? Very reasonable. The staff? Soooo lovely. I had a lovely birthday celebration, just a relaxed lunch with my other half. Big thank you to Bang Bang for a super experience and delicious lunch.

Food came out very quickly but after eating it I suspect that it was just reheated. And it was quite expensive. If it was half the price it still wouldn’t be worth it.

I tried the Pho (beef one) here and it was SO good. Honestly, the soup base was delicious and it smelled heavenly! My friend had the iced coffee and rice and pork and she said her selections were good too. All in all, loved the interior vibes - I didn't quite understand the cultural references on the walls (a lot of black and white photos and texts). The staff were so good with us! Highly recommend this place tucked away behind warren street station

I like this little Vietnamese restaurant that features grilled lemongrass pork noodles, sweet glazed chicken wings, green papaya mango shrimp salad, and the must-try stir fry beef steak. A symphony of flavours awaits!

Cosy place to go for some tasty food. Aesthetic inside the restaurant was really comfortable whilst also being cool and unique. Staff were kind and helped with what foods to order, and the food came out very fast.

Stumbled upon Bang Bang Vietnamese Canteen next to UCL and their Vietnamese noodles are a must-try! The vegetarian spring rolls were perfectly crispy outside, tender inside, bursting with fresh flavors. The crab noodle soup was the star of the table with its rich, flavorful broth, luxurious crab meatballs, and succulent shrimp. The salt and chili wings had a flawless balance of heat and zest, absolutely addictive. To top it off, the Lemongrass and Lychee Iced Tea was the perfect palate cleanser between dishes. Can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu.

Went to this lovely cosy restaurant during the weekend, rice noodle salad with lemongrass roast pork (Thit Nuong Thit Heo) is very nice, also make sure you try their special sweet spicy chicken wing (Canh Ga Nuoc Mam), you will be amazed by the sugar coating!

Amazing meal with family after an event in Wellcome Collection… Great service after being quickly seated. Had pre booked which turned out to have been a wise decision. Food was delicious. All dishes ordered weee outstanding with all family members enjoying their choices. Will certainly return when back in the area.

Service is quick, food is always fresh and tasty. Not a place to linger over a meal, the chairs aren't comfortable and it can get chilly , but as a quick in-and-out place for a good meal it does a great job.

Used to be my favourite local spot for dinner after work before the pandemic; and I am so happy to see it has only improved since I last visited. Went there yesterday for some dinner - had the beef pho as a main, alongside some Saigon beer; the star of our meal was the sweet and spicy squid, SO GOOD! Portions were pretty decent and service was good. Overall, it's a great spot so I would recommend to anyone looking for tasty Viet food in town.

I went there for dinner with my friend. However, there was a guy who I think is the manager, and he wasn't very friendly when I walked in with my half-drunk latte. He asked me to finish the drink outside first, which seemed quite unreasonable to me, especially since latte isn't even on the menu. The food was good, but it was overshadowed by the the first impression, especially after being charged a service fee. I would not come back with this level of service.

Great evening meal. Had the beef pho & duck summer rolls. Very quick for food to come out but a while to have orders taken. Lychee iced tea really lovely also. Keen to come back and taste more from the menu.

Furiously Fast, Spicy and Fresh! We enjoyed an early diner before going to the Shaw theatre and were pleasantly surprised by this true Canteen, expect no fuss, but the food is superb and fresh. Plenty of staff, fairly pleasant. Loos are downstairs and in great need of TLC.

Found this little place in my first week in London. Back for my last feed before heading home to Oz. Highly recommended 😋😋😋

The Banh Mi was out of this world. I chose the chicken curry version it was everything you would hope for from a flavour perspective and good quality chicken. Superb lunch and great value at only 6.50.

天氣涼爽的時候可以坐在戶外區傍晚微風徐徐也很舒服 室內空間設計也不錯 餐點真的很越南風味道不錯 青木瓜絲可以選擇搭配炸豆腐或是蝦子 若海鮮過敏可以選炸豆腐搭配起來真的很好吃喔 牛肉河粉湯頭好 肉片多 一人一碗份量剛剛好 在國外能來上一碗熱湯麵真的很幸福

First time at lunch, had looked up a restaurant in the region, and I love vietnamese food, so Bang Bang came as a lovely choice. We chose the al fresco dining, on a perfect sunny London Summer day. Food came really quickly, and absolutely delicious, and all spices and Vietnamese tastes to which I had been looking forward Service was impeccable, friendly staff, efficient, accurate Atmosphere was perfect, of course for alfresco, you want a sunny day, but they also have indoors tables too Highly recommended! Loved it! Thank you! ^_^

Great place for Vietnamese food. Their pho is full of flavor and is a large portion. Service is pretty quick and nice. Prices are pretty good, and the location is very nice.

A firm favourite and worth a repeat visit. The menu caters for many tastes and is sure to please fans of popular Vietnamese dishes. No booking in advance for lunch, arrive before 12.30 for a good table.

I thought long and hard if I should even bother but then I remembered I paid for almost 20£ for a lukewarm pot of soup that I could have gotten for a quid a cross the street in the corner shop. Let me tell you whilst the hygiene standards are met we’ll that’s the only plus. Prawn pho with two pieces of prawns and a pretty watered down broth. The chefs constantly shouting to the front desk. Once their system was down so there were no receipts with zero explanation and we weren’t allowed to keep the handwritten bill. Shame I really used to like this place when it first opened. Truly capitalism at its finest.

I miss one of my cantines in this area of London

This is a well located restaurant, with some outdoor seating and rapid and efficient service. But the positives end there. The broth is nowhere near as good as competitors. Compare with branches of pho or Bone daddies. The meat doesn’t seem very good. The vegetarian options are unimaginative , but the real kicker is the price point. With Pho at £3 more than at branches of Pho despite what seem inferior ingredients and options, and £5 more than Vietfood (brilliant and worth queuing for), again in central London locations, they’re having a laugh. Nice name, but there’s better out there.

Popped in for lunch. Friendly and quick staff and service. I’ve rated three as the pho was alright. Maybe around average. No separate bowl for herbs. The meat in the pho is not great quality (not bad either). Noodles pretty standard. The portion is not that bad but on the smaller side compared to other pho spots. Nothing really stands out except for the price. 17+ pounds service charge included for beef pho at lunch is pushing it. I would expect near that around central london. I understand costs are rising but even knowing this it’s pretty high. I will say, clearly the demand is there as the place was very busy when I went. The place has a nice interior and outdoor seating in the sun. Prime spot in the neighbourhood. If you’re looking for a cool spot to hang out with some friends it’s a great location but for a good bowl of pho, there are better options a couple of which I’ve reviewed.

Delicious Banh mi but I would love a little more filling in their, I have tried two of the options and both times I wanted a little more inside but the taste is delicious. Maybe it’s so tasty I am getting a little greedy.

Crab noodles without a trace of Crab We went there late at 9:30pm. We ordered the southern Vietnamese crab noodles for both of us at £15.5 each. The noodles portion is like one third of a standard noodles bowl we would expect. We were hungry and ate fast… but with the few things there we finished them in a few minutes. Then I realised that I could not find any crab meat there at all. There were just a few shrimps with some tofu cubes. I asked the waiters about the crab meat. They told us that there shall be pork meatballs mixed with crab pastes which were not served in our bowls. One of them even accused us that we had already eaten them and then made such claims. The manager offered cancelling the bills for us but my friend insisted to pay. I could not agree with my friend. At the end we paid for only one noodle bowl which I think is a fair reflection of the portion served. Not sure if they are running out of ingredients at late night, omissions from kitchen or this is their normal standard… But really disappointing. I was looking for an authentic Vietnamese food experience with my friend over there. We ended up going to another restaurant to get some proper portion food. Lesson learnt: be cautious about the food when it is first served and take pictures as evidence as well.

See that line of people waiting for their order? That right there is a collection of card-tapping sheep hungry for their tasteless bread roll. What happens when a business learns the ancient art of simple mathematics division? Your portion becomes half the size. Once our go-to place for a mouth-watering banh mi with an abundance of tender meat/tofu, now just an assembly line of sad white bread rolls with a measly teaspoon of condiments. Get your magnifying glass out and you might spot 2 pieces of protein, each smaller than your local macho chav's pea-sized knob. What's more... let's see this store double up as a bubble tea vendor too, just because millenial kids don't inhale enough sugar (and clearly enjoy having balls in their gobs). This is living proof that turning your store into Warren Street's Ikea ball pit is always going to beat the pride of traditional good tastes. Bang Bang - you're bang-bang out of order. Please stop bang-banging us over! Show us the real banh mi again without the disguise of extra cheap condiments. PS. The counter staff can do with a shopping trip to Primark .. you've worn that same top with the same customer's vomit stain for too many years! UPDATE: Best reply ever from owner, RESPECT ! Quick service, delicious food, and nice selection of drinks

The food is lovely here! The bun bo hue was delicious; a great amount of beef and perfectly spicy. The interior is also nice to look at and I love the atmosphere. The staff are friendly and even asked us if we wanted student discount! Even though it was a little pricey, I will definitely be back to try other dishes.

Yet another great Vietnamese restaurant. Everything we had was delicious. Ribs with chilli and salt + spicy beef noodle soup for me and tofu with chilli and salt and dry vegan noodles for my wife. Chicken with chilli and salt to go. All delicious and I will return as soon as I can. 9/10 would recommend May 2023 update.. .food is still incredibly delicious.

We had a scrumptious lunch here today and the staff are fantastic. Wish I knew about this place because I have worked nearby for years and didn’t have a clue of it being here. Will definitely be back. Thank you to the lovely staff and the incredible food.

Overall, I had a pleasant meal at Bang Bang Vietnamese Canteen. We ordered the sweet and spicy wings and salt and chilli ribs for starters, followed by the tofu with rice bowl. The wings and ribs were cooked perfectly, super crispy and tender. The wings were very sweet and sticky (a bit too much) and we would have loved some chilli heat. Ribs were pretty tasty. The tofu bowl was ok, tasted average and very overpriced for what it was (tofu, rice and tiny bit of a vegetables). It's a cool little place, especially for a quick bite to eat if you are in the area, but I wouldn't make the effort to go again as there are better Vietnamese restaurants that are more reasonably priced.

The Canh Ga Nuoc Mam wings and Thit Heo Lemongrass Pork were delish. Great selection of wines, beers and non-alcoholic drinks too. I can't wait to visit again. Thanks, Bang Bang team!

Big RIP OFF Internet menu prices not same as the restaurant, beef Pho on Internet £9.5 in the shop £15.5 big cheat. Not authentic soup as no Vegatables to put on top, no fish paste, no chillies,side dish and chilli sauce made in USA. Avoid this place. I paid £23 for 1 bowl noodle soup and 1 spring roll. As i said previously BEST AVOIDED, if you had spent as much time with your food as you did insulting me rather than dealing with the problems perhaps your restaurant would have been better. So if old versions of the menu are posted then post the correct menu yourselves. I am sure many people have been deceived by the cheaper menu on the site and that works in your favour so I am sure you are happy with that. I have been in many restaurants that provide the correct acompanyments here in central London and for a lot cheaper that the £15.50 you charge for mediocre soup. I was hoping a Vietnamese restaurant would give the real experience but alas it was very disapointed both with the food and with your purile response.

I came here today for lunch with my sister, we had prawns and chilly spring rolls, duck spring rolls with two different sauces absolutely delicious, squid with a little chilly and onions also delicious and the best till last chicken wings absolutely delicious food. Will definitely go again.

Their spring rolls are just made in heaven! The noodles are freshly made and the meat is scrumptious!
