Oh my word the food was delicious. Good veggie/vegan options too. Menu needed better labelling of which main courses were vegan and gluten-free but starters were clearly labelled and staff were helpful. Lost one star off service as they took quite a while to take our order, and also didn't have the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc in stock, then we chose a red and the girl brought out a different one from the one ordered. Other than that though the service was good. And, like I said, the food was great! A huge menu with loads of choices, and things I have never seen elsewhere. Everything tasted fresh and was full of flavour. Definitely recommend this place.

The best restaurant in Manchester, I have been here a couple of times, offers a variety of South Indian food and North Indian food. I would recommend the Saturday and Sunday breakfast buffet.

Been a while since I've been here,but still doesn't disappoint. Great tasting starters followed by mains with substantial portion sizes. Flavours are great, naga lamb was marked as very hot, but don't be afraid to try it as it's not as got as you'd expect it to be. Lamb was cooked to perfection with the meat just dropping off the bone. Veg dishes are worth try even if you're a may eater.

Went there for dinner as part of a group tour. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food was good. Would love to visit again.

Welcoming staff, the female toilet was out of order, so we had to use the assisted toilet. The food was good, the service was good the price even better! There was an issue with card payments, possibly due to the WiFi, but they did have another card reader, which was handed to one of the servers for another customer to pay? Would I go back again? Possibly

I think that was the most delicious masala dosa I have ever eaten. Fresh ,crispy and filled with a delicious potato mixture.

Good quality of Indian food with multiple varieties of dishes. Management is good. Staff are so cordial. Wine also served. Ambiance is also good. Can accommodate nearly 50 pacs at a time.

I travelled 90 miles especially to have the South Indian breakfast here, to recreate the memories of holidays in Kerala. I was very impressed, the food exceeded my expectations. The flavours were so delicious and it was extremely good value for money. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was good, the music was nice and not intrusive. I will definitely make the journey again as soon as possible.

Best Indian restaurant in Manchester. It’s my all time favourite place to eat Dosa. Specially authentic South Indian food is available here. I ordered multiple items like Masala Dosa,ghee karam dosa,vada,veg fried rice,mango lassi,chicken starters,veg starters,drinks etc . They served with two different chutneys along with delicious sambar. All food items are really good.

We went today to try the breakfast buffet menu. They have a good selection of breakfast items if you want to try different indian breakfast recipes. They had idli, vada, pongal, chole batura on the buffet and dosa/masala dosa can be ordered so they can bring it to your table freshly prepared. The staff are very helpful and service was good. Overall yummy food with good variety at a reasonable price.

A must try for authentic north and south Indian dishes. Plenty of vegetarian and non vegetarian options. Service is great and decor is pleasant.

Sai Spice, a longtime favourite for dinner, has started a self-serve breakfast buffet at weekends from February 2024 serving South Indian favourites including idli, vada and khara pongal with a lovely selection of white and red chutneys and a delicious sambar. Masala dosa and plain dosa are served at the table. There is a sweet payasam for pudding. You can order coffees and teas as extra. One request to Sai Spice: I would love to see traditional filter coffee in steel tumblers. Although a self-serve buffet, there were ample friendly and attentive waiters to hand and table service was impeccable.

Got to be one of the worst experiences for an indian rest for a long time. The staff friendly enoigh but the food is a let down. The quaoity of the chicken used boneless is so poor. We had a chicken butter which was like tomato soup.. the only thing butter was the label on the menu. The chefs played no interest in giving out quality food. Have some respect for paying people….the salad was clean however and safe to eat.. When you know decent food sadly it was not here on the night….

Terrible. I placed order of £46 from sai spice through deliveroo. 2 Masala Dosas were missing. When contacted the sai spice chorlton ,staff was very rude. They told they can't do anything. Staff who attended call told its misplaced by deliveroo staff and its not their responsibility to solve this problem. So bad experience. Pathetic customer service. Will never recommend Sai spice to anyone. Very disappointed

Not had a pleasant experience from the staff. Yesterday when my friend has been called out there to clarify his missing order,Staff was very rude to him. Customer satisfaction is just not based on the taste of the foods that you provide,it based on the conduct that you show towards all the customers.

We placed an order through Deliveroo ,then they delivered the food but they missed two main items when called the restaurant,the person who took the phone was very rude and said we can’t do anything and to call the person who delivered the food Also informed that the person might took the items ,very disappointed with the service

We did order through deliveroo and did not get 2 masala dosas.Rang the restaurant and the person said the driver might have taken dosas. We are very disappointed by this incident and didn’t get any response either from Sai spice or deliveroo

While the staff and service were commendable, I observed a noticeable decline in the taste of certain dishes compared to my previous visits. The Hakka noodles were satisfactory, but the sambar and dosa lacked the flavors that had impressed me before. The efforts to maintain food quality are evident, but there is room for improvement. Despite this, the consistently good service is a redeeming factor. I hope they can revisit the flavors that made my earlier experiences memorable.

Had Christmas Dinner here the food was exceptional. Wide choice of what to eat. Really nice staff and a great atmosphere. Will be eating here again.

We held a badminton party, there were 22 of us, the staff was helpful, the food was very tasty. I recommend.

It's a good place to dine in with family of Indian origin especially south my favourite one is masala dossa which is at its best. It may not make much happy to Muslim brothers because of very Limited halal dishes available and obviously not at par. Rest for south Asians it can be a place to dine in.

Enough parking space. Good ambiance, good service. Food overall is good. Two side dishes are enough for four of five adults.

One can always rely on authentic south indian, North Indian cuisine .. if you fancy an Indian dish that is not on the menu, just ask the chef!

Been here couple of times for lunch. Food was good and the staffs were nice. The ambiance was not very nice but its good enough for team lunch and casual dining.

Best place in Manchester for typical indian food. The taste is typical for indian palate which is the USP for the restaurant. The only thing is indo Chinese food is excessively salted on last 5 times I have been to this restaurant. But overall, it is still the best place for Indian food arround.

Had a buffet here as part of my friend's little daughter's birthday. They gave so much freedom and the space to decorate and celebrate the birthday. The food was amazing, Had chicken biryani, It was a little spicy compared to any other biryani in Manchester. Starters are good compared to the main course. I definitely recommend visiting this once and having spicy food.

Yesterday I ordered the food from diz restaurant.the veg Manchurian taste like burnt.samosa chat was tasteless..never gonna order the food again..

A man claiming to be the owner was very racist and threatening to me in the car park. I was a single black woman who had arranged to meet friends. I had a dispute in the car park with another diner who was Asian. A man approached my car claiming to be the owner threatened to make a call to get me ticketed. The man did not ask what happened he was adamant that I should move. Both men were at my window threatening me and shouting at me to move my car. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE NOT ASIAN. I left and will not be going back.

Been here a couple of times. The food is ok for the price offered. The Potato filled kulcha was quite good along with the Naga curry which was "HOT". It was one of the hottest currys i have had in the UK. The deserts were pretty decent. However, I think the starters are a bit pricey for the quantity they offer. We paid £3.95 for 3 pieces of Chicken Pakora where the pakora layer came off like a glove to show the small chicken pieces. One of the worst pakoras.

Absolutely authentic proper Indian food!! Just like in India! Everything is cooked fresh, and you can taste the ingredients in each dish! Remarkably, they do North Indian as well as South Jnfian food equally well - not something many restaurants can boast of....although their forte is definitely North Indian cuisine. We are delighted to have found this gem of a restaurant after months of searching for non-faddy, authentic Indian food. Service was very attentive, staff were super polite and efficient! We went on a Saturday night and the atmosphere was lively! Recommended dishes: 1. Idli, Vada Sambar 2. Pudina Lamb 3. Kadai Paneer 4. Channa Pindi Note that spicy here means spicy!

Starters very good Service is great. Amritsari fish , paneer tikka, Dosa and idli. From my point of view coconut chutney spicy was no good. LUDHIANA LAMB was nice. Chicken biryani - needs bit improvement for the price you need to stand out. Lemon soda - must try Kulfi - must try

We went for my dad's birthday and it was a lovely experience. The food was spicey, which I liked, but some of the group struggled as we were not warned how spicey it would be. I will go back for a celebration but wouldn't go on a regular basis.

An awesome place to have South Indian Food. The food is very tasty. The delivery comes as nicely packed. Good Quality with good Quantity. The staff is nice too. I had a experience of getting the food delivered but somehow I got to know that the order can be collected only. The collection wasn’t possible so I requested the staff member to get that delivered and if not requested for a refund. They understood and issued me refund.

Some of the most authentic Indian food I’ve had in the UK. Generous portions of tasty food. We’ve also had takeaway from here which was excellent.

The food is great and the portions are large. Loads of veggie options. Price has gone up recently, it looks like. Service is a bit disappointing and not very subtle. The servers kept hovering asking us whether we wanted more food etc. Which made the experience unpleasant.

Lovely welcoming curry house. Plenty of Asian families as customers on the night I went, which is always a good sign. I had the Lamb Chattinad which was a lovely authentic curry with just the right amount of heat and balance of spices. Chicken Lollipop to start - a fusion dish of chicken wings coated and fried with a blend of spices, and with a lovely dip Really glad I chose this one on my visit to Manchester

Horrible place to book for any kind of occasion first of all manager satish is rude as hell their service is really bad when you ask for fresh glasses they said you have to use dirty glasses which have already been used by other guests for almost have an hour after having starters there was still no drinks on any tables I would seriously suggest to stay from this place

Sai Spice... Okkkkk Not a very good expirence...!!! Let me start with good stuff first... If you want to try South India food in that case it is really good.. We tried Masala Dosa and it was really good. Even Sambar and chutneys tasted yummy. Now other experiences It was my first time as Sai Spice, I booked a table for 9:45 pm and I reached there at 9:37 pm.. Well 8 mins before your time was good I thought and I could have waited but first thing I got from staff was why you came before 9:45 instead of politely asking me to wait till 9:45... Anyways I got a table at 10:00 PM after a little wait... Now the really trouble started... Probably they had unusual rush that day and were not prepared to handle that many guests.. After giving table at 10:00 PM they took my order at 10:35 pm after multiple requests... Now they served us dosa (one of the items) in 10 mins and now one person is eating and remaining 3 looking at because remaining food is not served till 11:00 PM... One hour waiting after getting table... Now when I asked their staff that I am waiting for 1 hour and you have already served food to people who were seated after me, what is actually delaying it for my order and I was dying of hunger and I had a friend with me who was pregnant... After that all of a sudden they got my order in 2 mins... Okk... Whatever I was damn hungry we all just started eating.... But to our surprise most of the food was not hot, means it was prepared early and was lying in kitchen... Now taste was ok for Dal makhani and bad for Paneer butter masala (it was like paneer tomato).. Gobi Manchurian was also cooked to too much of sauce.... But at 11:10 now I had no strength left to ask for replacement and wait for another 1 hour.... And just to add in last one of our fellow guests that day got a big mosquito in their food.... Overall not a good experience.... May be I will visit again only of I have to ease Dosa and that too in non busy hours... Otherwise never!!!!!

Sai spice is near the tram stop, just a couple of mins walk from Barlow moor road. Enjoyed the food here, specially the oothapam, Egg fries rice and chicken fries rice. Naan and chicken butter masala were very good. Would enjoy coming back for the fries rice or oothapam. If you are seated in the waiting area, quick grab the massage chair. It feels awesome to relax in it for a few mins

It's a great restaurant to eat Indian menu and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The meals were very tasty, well cooked and the portion was more than enough, so 1 portion of rice was enough for 2 of us to share. The presentation was good in all as the environment is clean and spacious car parking space and good toilet also. Will visit again

Great ambience and great taste.

Good amount of free parking. Good spaced tables so it didn't feel cramped. Adequate number of staff. Varied menu. Good food. Several I know recommended place. Good option for families. But if you go alone stick to starters unless you just want to eat one dish. I don't enjoy just having one dish and prefer to try out many dishes. The only way to do that when visiting alone is to try the Thali (which isn't an option here unfortunately like many other Indian restaurants). So if you are going alone then consider this Vs other options. I had idly vada, the idly was good and fluffy and sambhar was good although on water side and would have preferred slightly thicker sambhar. The coconut chutney was good. The other tangy chutney that comes with it was also good. Had lamb biryani which comes with option of raita or curry. I chose the raita both lamb biryani and raita were good although would have preferred a bit more cucumber and probably some onions in it. The biryani quantity was good and taste was fine. But would have preferred to have a thali option so that could have tasted several items. The owners need to look at different thali options like available in many other restaurants so that they can cater to individuals who might prefer to come alone while traveling. In the mean time if I go again I will stick to having several starters instead of a main course. I also took a take away of non veg mix starter for 2, can't remember what it was called on menu. It was fine. Over all it was good but wouldn't run to it again like I usually do when I really like a place. But wouldn't mind going again when I am again in the area. I travel for food and drove slightly over an hour to get to this place. Forgot to take a photo of the biryani as was disappointed not to find a Thali on the menu while traveling alone. But the food I had was good.

Nice, clean restaurant. Good parking. Friendly staff and quick service. The masala dosa is one of the best I've ever eaten and comes with 3 very tasty chutneys. And the gobi manchurian is another beautiful dish. Prices are very reasonable.

Very nice restaurant, good food, affordable prices, nice service! A party of 4 of us went out for dinner, we had starter/main/dessert plus they serve poppadoms before... We had a few drinks, incl a few alcoholic beverages (double tipples with a mixer/beer) and also took home an extra takeaway and our bill came to £153 which I think is more than reasonable. The restaurant doesn't add service charge which is refreshing so you can leave your own tip! There was more than enough food left from the mains and you can take it home... The receipt is very clear & crisp (and that's just my eye for detail:))

The worst food I ever had. We ordered pav bhaji and it was frozen food. They just heated and sent it. If they are just sending ready made food they should have written in their menu. I will never order from here.

I'm a month late in writing this review. However I had a very bad experience at this place. The hosts were very unprofessional. When there was a discrepancy in the order we placed and what we received on the table, I informed the person who took the order. Instead of acknowledging their fault, they behaved as if I had offended them. Then when some more of our order arrived, the lady (who I think was one of the owners/managers) serving us treated us as if we were not guests but uninvited bunch of people instead. The food however, was good.

Went to a birthday celebration for a family member.This restaurant is one of those which offers reliably tasty food at reasonable price and fairly good service. The menu is extensive with numerous vegan dishes. It's spacious and well lit but depending on which table you are sat at, you are exposed to the draught which can be most uncomfortable. Fair amount of parking available.

While in Manchester I came across Sai Spice . Spacious restaurant, quick service, and a lot of options. The food was tasty however the biryani was a flop as there was no salt added (human error) nothing was done about it n was charged full price even after letting the staff know . Plenty parking space . Try out their butter rotis and chilli garlic chicken also their dosa
