Great value canteen serving delicious Korean food. I had the beef bibimbap box which was gorgeous. Contrary to some other reviews I didn’t find the portion sizes small at all. Deff worth a visit if you’re looking for a little treat near UoM/MMU ✨

The best Korean food I have had in a long time The portion is just right. Can get a little crowded during lunch time so plan a bit ahead.

Disappointing food and value. We saw the reviews and menu and were so looking forward to eating there for lunch. My wife had the winter special (beef) and I had the Kimchi Bibim Box with an extra of chicken dumplings (like JiaoZi/Gyoza). The flavours were ok, but the dishes overall were underwhelming, featuring mostly cold vegetables (salad). The amount of food was poor - we paid about £10 each. The Kimchi was good but little of it. My chicken dumplings were small, but the deep fried cooking spoilt them. What is wrong with light pan frying? They could be delicious then. The beef strips were tasty. Overall we considered the food we had poor value. The employees were very pleasant and cheerful and the reason why I'm putting effort into this review, because I think they should offer better value and wish them well. We felt hungry afterwards and went and picked up something else to eat on the walk back into town.

Fresh and tasty Korean food at affordable prices

I think this is the best korean food I have ever eaten. They cook it very delicious, offer you the flavours of korean cousine in an acceptable way and good food for a reasonable price. I used to eat fried rice before but the nice lady taking my order told that they dont do it anymore but I can have a customized plate that I can have fried rice and eggs with additional chicken. Chicken was a bit over cooked but still the plate was overall very delicious. The atmosphere is not luxurious but very authentic. It is still kept same for a decade. I always find the place very clean. If you are planning a visit to Manchester and fond of Korean food, this place should be on your list. But keep in mind that they dont serve on weekends, unfortunatelly.

I love this place so much! I left Manchester three and a half years ago and I never stopped thinking about the tofu tempura bibimbap weekday special I would get whenever I could. Best tofu I've ever had. I finally was able to go back today and it still tastes exactly the same. Thank you!

my favourite place to eat in Manchester, such quick service, friendly staff and excellent food. I go here weekly now for my lunch, you get a good selection of food with good prices. 100% recommend to anyone.

It's OK. The food is fresh tasting and kimchi is punchy and spicy. But average market stall food. Quite forgettable. Fried Chicken average but fried tofu better.

Hidden gem, tucked away just off Grosvenor street. Quick, appetising choice of Korean lunch boxes to eat in or take away, ready to wash down with a soft drink chosen from the fridge.

On our trip to Manchester we've been lucky enough to find this amazing place. It has the best Korean food we've ever had and the family that own the place get out of their way to make you feel 'at home'. The place is nice and cozy and you cannot miss karaoke night every Friday. :)

Best Korean in Manchester authentic food

Chicken and beef are halal (حلال) except for their chicken dumpling as they’re the frozen ones ! Huge portion with student - friendly price. Place is a bit tight so not recommending to come in a big group. Mainly rice based but nothing soupy like kimchi jjigae here.

Go for the free karaoke on Friday! Great food, reasonably priced, service with a massive smile. BYOB

Extremely nice for a low price point.Soy chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned but the spicy beef was quite good but not as good.Specials are only 5.80 and 6.80 for a bibim box which is really good.Would recommended

I used to come here for lunch when I was at MMU, and I'm so happy it's thriving. Superb, quick food with great service, it's a must-visit in Manchester.

Expected crowd during lunch time but it is worth waiting. It was Wednesday and I ordered lunch special box - Chicken bibim box. You can choose either rice/potatoes/spicy rice (+50p)/noddles(+50p). I had white rice and added kimchi (+1.40£). The regular box just nice for my stomach. The box has so many types of different vege and it really satisfies my taste buds. The soy taufu is delicious too. Will definitely come again.

I’ve graduated from the uom in 2011 and eatGOODY opened when I was studying. Even back then, the Korean chef was really nice to everyone and I always loved his food. Now in 2022, I visited this place again as I was stopping by Manchester after so many years. OMG! The chef is still very nice, and so is the food. eatGOODY offers a variety of choices for the main dish, and it’s hard choosing only one. But everything is good for lunch or dinner. I became so nostalgic that I used to meet friends here for lunch or a quick meeting. I do love me some Korean food and this was a hidden gem til I found out about it from a friend. Spicy tofu and rice, yummmm! The queue goes out of the DOOR mind you, and you're waiting down the steps!

This is a wonderful tiny Korean restaurant. Eat in or eat out, it is wonderful both ways and very reasonably priced too.

Their tofu tempura is incredibly delicious, the saucy soy box was well seasoned and super tasty. Definitely will come back to try the rest of the menu. Service is fast and great value. The take cash only

Fantastic food, but they raised their prices quite a bit. The (large) daily special is 8£ with kimchi (which is a must). Strongly recommend if you're nearby while it's open.

My absolute favourite place for lunch. As it is close to where I work, I have been coming here for lunch for years now, and I still have not grown tired of it. They do a different special every day of the week, or you can go for the Bibim box every day! Very reasonably prices as well.

So excited to find this gem of a place. All 5 of us were delighted with our menu choices. Fresh, filling, reasonably priced and utterly delicious. The staff were friendly, efficient and patient. I will look for excuses to return.

I watched some guy return a tofu Bibimbap (he was vegan and it has egg), then watched them take it behind the counter and immediately call my number (I was about 8th in the queue) with my tofu Bibimbap. Surprise surprise, it is stone cold. They literally just served me somebody else's returned food.

(CASH ONLY!) Really nice and budget-friendly lunch-only Korean restaurant. Opens from 10:30 until 2:30 from Tuesday to Friday (no Monday 😢). You can get a nice meal for £4, add extra chicken portion for £1.5 (I always do that). Service is super quick too. Recommended 👍 👍 (CASH ONLY!)

For the special price of £4 you get white rice, frie potatoes with curry powder from any supermarket!! And o you choose for a small portion of dumplings or chicken.. I really don't think this is real actual Korea food. DEF I do not recommend the place for get over price rice and potatoes I was expecting more

Have been going here pretty much every week during our lunch break at uni when we have labs, the food is always amazing, and the vibe is quite chill. Strongly recommend.

I really wanted to give this place 4 stars, but for the sake of consistency with my reviews, I think 3 would match it better relative to other places I reviewed. EatGoody is a value-for-money, cheap lunch spot. I've come to this place multiple times before for the £4 lunch special, and have been satisfied every time. The food is decent and filling and I wouldn't go anywhere else for a cheap lunch break. Waiting times vary, as sometimes there may be longer queues which would mean a longer wait. What's stopping me from giving 4 stars is really just the quality relative to other places I've been and given 4 stars on google reviews. It's good food but don't expect restaurant quality. I would still say I highly recommend the place, even just to try it out, it's definitely good food which is worth paying for. If I could, it'd be a 3.5 stars since it's better value than other 3 star places I rate. Highly recommend, do check out if you're looking for your next lunch spot.

Loved the Wednesday deal. At a dodgeball competition at the Sugden center and couldn't believe this little gem opposite. I beg anyone not to love the food, even saved a little for tea later 🥰

Great hidden gem, cheap meal of the day and generous portion. Shabby chic dining. Big queues at lunch time. Only thing to make it better would be extended opening times so it could be open in evenings.

Cheap and tasty. My only problem is that daily specials taste quite the same even they have completely different names.

This is a great little lunch spot. The food is super tasty and has great sized portions considering the value for money! (Be aware that eat goody is cash only, there are cash points en route though)

Perfectly good food, maybe a bit pricey for some of the meal boxes. However, the specials each day are reduced and are always tasty. The food is not the most amazing Korean experience, but overall good value lunch.

Eatgoody is the best place to grab a lunch near the University of Manchester. We tried vegetable Tempura and sweet chilli chicken today. Veg. tempura for the first time and sweet chilli chicken as our forever favorite. They were delicious and affordable as always. Great food for an incredible price

Fast service that's close to the university. Filling cheap offer on the meal of the day. If you want to sit down they have a seating area on the lower floor and they play good quality kpop music :)

I think I've been round most of the Korean restaurants in town over the last few years and this place is great for a lunch. Very fast service and fresh ingredients. I tend to go early as it's very popular at lunch times!

I come here quite often for lunch. There is always a day's special at a convenient price. There's alwaysa massive queue which goes unbelivebly fast. I wish they did noodles too instead of rice - I've never seem them. excellent value for money.

Lots of my colleague visit here for lunch on a daily basis so I thought I would give it a try. The place is packed - queue out the door most days. I went for the sweet chicken but I literally got about 3 pieces of chicken and the rest was potato. Hardly any sauce and tonnes of rice - for nearly £6 I want more chicken and sauce.

Fantastic Korean food for great prices. Best to go on a Monday or Wednesday in my opinion, as these get you Curry and Soy (sweet & tangy soy based sauce) deals, with chicken or veggie options (dumplings or tofu)

Great food which I remember fondly, they have a great daily deal. Haven't been in a long time as it's sadly entirely vegan unfriendly.

Highly highly recommend this place. Food is consistently fantastic. There is a special every day that is very reasonably priced. Good vegetarian options, especially the Soy tofu. This was my first visit in some months and if anything the portions were bigger! Usually quite busy but quick service.
