Mazaa Authentic Kebab and Curry House in Manchester

Every so often my family order a takeout from Mazaaaaaa! My familia say that the food is quite tasty and reasonably well cooked.. Although, what frustrates them is (at times) the food may be a little too spicy than expected/portion size is not enough (maybe they are just being greedy). :D Mr Shahid (the owner) has brilliant customer service and customer relation skills, as do some of his staff, such as his sidekick - the man who usually manages the phone orders... This place is fast-paced and well run - your order is usually ready within 30 minutes. This takeaway always looks clean and tidy whenever I used to pop in to pick up my order.. Mazaa has a delivery service too (with deliveroo and Uber Eats), which is quite useful as it saves us a deal of time when we don't pick up... My review went down to 4 stars because in the past we had ordered a portion of chicken and chanaa daal, but instead we only received a portion of chanaa daal which was quite oily to the point that it had spilt through the paper bag.. In the future, we try to order at less busier times.. Because, when the staff are dealing with too many orders at one time, it can (due to human error) eventually lead to the making a mistake in an order...Therefore after reconsideration I have raised you too 5 stars! 👍

The food is really tasty hands down but the wait time is really annoying. Me and my friends have had the urge to leave after waiting for a lot of time.

Great food no complaints however they should look more into their sauces and develop some home made signature sauces. The ones seen are from the pound shop and just taste cheap. This is busy because its good!!

We come all the way from bradford just for their food and hospitality. Great staff especially bloke stood at door, a very humble a great day with food to rival all!! Food which is unique, you cant get this type of food taste-wise or portion elsewhere, quality! Cant wait for lockdown to be over coz we will be bck here the following night!!!

I typically order the donnar & lamb seek kebab, the service is too slow however & sometimes the donnar is dry by the time you get it home. Overall decent place.

It used to be good; we used to go there very often. However, recently they served us completely different dishes than what we asked for. I guess they were trying to get rid of what they were not able to sell. And then we asked for no spicy, but they made it too spicy, so we couldn’t understand what we were eating. On top of all that, our stomachs have been upset ever since. I’m not going back again.

I recently visited [Mazaa Longsight] and was thoroughly disappointed with my experience. The service was slow and inattentive, with our waiter taking ages to take our order and even longer to bring the food. When it finally arrived, the dishes were lukewarm and lacked the flavors promised on the menu. Additionally, the portions were small considering the high prices. The atmosphere was also lacking, with dim lighting and loud, distracting noise. Overall, it was a very unsatisfactory visit, and I won’t be returning.

Sorry, the food was a letdown, service was slow, and the prices were way too high. Wouldn't recommend this place.

This is one of our go to food places in Manchester for Pakistani dishes. I have tried many lamb dishes like nihari, paya, rogan josh, chicken biriyani, lamb chops, burgers, chicken tikkas and many more. The food is so yummy and delicious. They have good rotis and naans. When it comes to servuce, once you order it takes around 30-35 minutes of wait for just 2 items. There is a lot of sitting space, but tables are not neat and the place is not clean. There is no hand washing possible and that is a necessity after-all. There is no wheelchair accessibility. The price is affordable and the quantity and quality is worth the price. If you enjoy spicy masala dishes, you must try it..

Well disappointed family of 7 we are first time ordering here spent £35 and none of us liked it. Curry sauce had all lumps of tomatoes or something in aswell curry sauce should be what it states “sauce” onion bhajis smell like fish money wasted

This is the first time getting takeaway naan and roti, which were either undercooked or burnt, no in-between. I appreciate it was a hot and humid on the day, but it was uneatable (hard) and it's not like we got it for free either so they need to keep their standard the same through out. I don't think I'll be going there again.

Food arrived on time and piping hot. Everything well wrapped. Doner kebab was delicious as always. Got the lamb tika starter to go with it, to add some different flavour, it was also delicious and will be ordering again. Fries are ok, might give them a miss next time. Apart from them, everything else was 10/10.

14 hour shift thought I'd treat myself to a kebab a treat it wasn't, some of the chicken disgusting, lamb overcooked and burnt, seek kebab couldn't just guess what it taste like but wasn't good chilli sauce tasteless for £15 thought I'd have half now half later but half eaten half in the bin, wasn't really value you for money anyway avoid.....

Lamb chops were burnt shami kebab looked like shlt tasted worse. Don't bother

Mazaa offers a down-to-earth dining experience, not your typical fine dining affair but more of a greasy spoon charm. The menu boasts a variety of enticing options at reasonable prices. The chicken and lamb karahi, while good, didn't quite hit the "awesome" mark. However, the mixed grill stole the show with flavorful donner meat and satisfyingly good portions. The lamb chops, albeit slightly overcooked, were still enjoyable without being overly salty. Service left something to be desired as all the food arrived at once, leaving little space on the table. In summary, Mazaa serves up good, hearty fare, though it falls short of reaching culinary greatness.

I ordered a chicken donner but ended up with mixture of lamb donner and chicken donner with rusty chicken.crazy people

Have visited Mazaa with friends plenty of times. Food is always really nice. I recommend the mix shashlick and the lamb karahi. Unfortunately they made a mistake on the order but mistakes happen to us all. I would say to repeat back your order to make sure everything is fine :)

Unfortunately what was ordered, was not entirely accurate on delivery. Several kebabs sandwiches didn’t come with what was specified on order. Sandwich was bone dry. Some people observing ramadhaan and left very disappointed. We called takeaway to address issues, they delivered additional salads and sauces but by then sandwiches were bone cold and it was too late. Will not be ordering again. Working a night shift in hospital and looked forward to weekend treat for staff and left disappointed. Wi

Wow! The chicken tikka shishlik was outstanding. The bread it was served on was sooooo soft and clearly freshly, lovingly made. Chicken - great heat, flavour. And served with some sauces and side salad. All at a good price and served by friendly staff. I WILL BE BACK!

Placed a large order here last night as we work nearby, but was totally let down by this place. Food arrived quickly and on time. Our orders were correct but we had to share chilli and yoghurt portions and salad between three. The food appeared fresh apart from the doner meat and chips which looked reheated and crunchy. It was expensive also, considering the dismal portion sizes we were sent. Fast food in general nowadays has gone downhill lately and Mazza proved this last night with our order. We will be using Al Aqsa nearby from now on.

I ordered lamb karahi, prawn karahi and chicken tikka from them today. Food was not fresh and also had a bad taste.lamb was soo hard as it was uncooked and that also from the morning. They just heated it. And when i complained about it to the guy in white shirt maybe the manager or owner, he was soo rude and didnot even listen to what i was saying and after that kept staring at us with anger. I was soo hungry but still couldnot finish the food. My time and money both gone to vain. Highly unprofessional, never going there again

I never received my order and they marked it was delivered, I spoke too the delivery driver on the phone he told me I could say it wasn't delivered and get a refund because he couldn't find my house but I can't get my full refund it only let me request £12 I paid £16 I want my full refund. This is the worst service ever.

Our family love Everything on the menu, their curries are authentic and the Haleem especially is the best in Manchester. Staff are always patient and helpful even when they’re super busy. Defo one to try!

Got a late night curry and chaat delivered from here as my usual was closed. Amazing food, great flavours, the curry sauce wasn't too thin (always wary of trying new curry houses because of this), and the spice level was just right. The price was also really reasonable and I'd probably order from here again over my local.

Spend £40 on a takeaway and the order never arrived. Rang the restaurant and was told the delivery driver probably had ate the food. Not okay do not order off this place as if you food doesn’t arrive you will get no refund and get told it was ate by someone else.

The food is always great but also wanted to shout out the service. I ordered food on NYE and a wrong order of 1 item was sent. They sorted it out really quickly considering it’s a busy night and replaced. I’ve been ordering food from here for about 3 years now and have never found fault in the quality of food. Defo recommend and really appreciated them sorting it out quickly

Kebabs are belting but swerve the curry

2023 update: Saturday night, used to be packed out, now empty but still a 30min wait?! Also, looks like they have had a slight refurb. Staff also changed - for the worse - picking their nose in front of everyone then handling food. NASTY --- Fantastic food. I usually get the chicken tikka or the chicken kebab (no mango sauce - mango sauce has *no* place on a kebab!). Kebabs are always perfectly cooked, naans are delicious and that chilli sauce is a must-have. Parking can be a problem although there's usually parking available in some of the streets close by. Highly recommended.

Was struggling to order on just eat, the mixed kebab could not find it in the kebab section. Phoned up mazaa around 7:15 the guy on the phone was very nice and polite he was very helpful and he guided me in finding the mix kebab in the mix kebab section, And I placed my order and I received the order in 30 mins and it was absolutely beautiful, nice, fresh and hot. Thank you to the Fantastic guy on the phone.

Gone downhill, service gone downhill. Waiting time are unbelievable. Staff members moan at you if you help buy someone else's food. The staff moan they can't hear on the phone because he decides to take the call where you're telling what you want on your kebab. Go in the back and take the orders then. Been coming here for years like 15 years + but won't be coming back no more.
