Great food always amazes me good service clean fresh food

Mazaa offers a down-to-earth dining experience, not your typical fine dining affair but more of a greasy spoon charm. The menu boasts a variety of enticing options at reasonable prices. The chicken and lamb karahi, while good, didn't quite hit the "awesome" mark. However, the mixed grill stole the show with flavorful donner meat and satisfyingly good portions. The lamb chops, albeit slightly overcooked, were still enjoyable without being overly salty. Service left something to be desired as all the food arrived at once, leaving little space on the table. In summary, Mazaa serves up good, hearty fare, though it falls short of reaching culinary greatness.

I ordered a chicken donner but ended up with mixture of lamb donner and chicken donner with rusty chicken.crazy people

Every often my family order a takeout from Mazaaaaaa! My familia say that the food is quite tasty and reasonably well cooked.. Although, what frustrates them is (at times) the food may be a little too spicy than expected/portion size is not enough (maybe they are just being greedy). :D Mr Shahid (the owner) has brilliant customer service and customer relation skills, as do some of his staff.. This place is well run and fast-paced - your order is usually ready within 30 minutes. This takeaway always looks clean and tidy whenever I use to pop in to pick up my order.. Mazaa has a delivery service too (with deliveroo) which is quite useful - it saves us a deal of time. Though, a downside is to the service is that there is no option for the amount of spice you want in your food... My review went down to 4 stars because in the past we had ordered a portion of chicken and chanaa daal, but instead we only received a portion of chanaa daal which was quite oily to the point that it had spilt through the paper bag.. In future we try to order at less busier times. Because, when the staff are dealing with too many orders at one time it can (due to human error) eventually lead to the making a mistake in an order.

Have visited Mazaa with friends plenty of times. Food is always really nice. I recommend the mix shashlick and the lamb karahi. Unfortunately they made a mistake on the order but mistakes happen to us all. I would say to repeat back your order to make sure everything is fine :)

Wow! The chicken tikka shishlik was outstanding. The bread it was served on was sooooo soft and clearly freshly, lovingly made. Chicken - great heat, flavour. And served with some sauces and side salad. All at a good price and served by friendly staff. I WILL BE BACK!

Very popular kebab spot that has nice chicken tikka, lamb chops and really nice seekh kebabs (best I’ve had in Manchester). Fluffy naan. My friend says the lamb donner was bland but chicken donner is nice

Placed a large order here last night as we work nearby, but was totally let down by this place. Food arrived quickly and on time. Our orders were correct but we had to share chilli and yoghurt portions and salad between three. The food appeared fresh apart from the doner meat and chips which looked reheated and crunchy. It was expensive also, considering the dismal portion sizes we were sent. Fast food in general nowadays has gone downhill lately and Mazza proved this last night with our order. We will be using Al Aqsa nearby from now on.

The service is dreadful and food can be Mediocre. Asked specifically for something, & it was not what i asked for.

The food was amazing , very professional& organised. The manager and the owner were very helpful and polite . We had a mixture of curries and starters The boss man in the white shirt , he’s a top guy .100% coming back here on Friday! Money well spent It was the boss’s birthday and he gave everyone in the takeaway a slice of cake 🍰. Money well spent 👍🏻

I ordered lamb karahi, prawn karahi and chicken tikka from them today. Food was not fresh and also had a bad taste.lamb was soo hard as it was uncooked and that also from the morning. They just heated it. And when i complained about it to the guy in white shirt maybe the manager or owner, he was soo rude and didnot even listen to what i was saying and after that kept staring at us with anger. I was soo hungry but still couldnot finish the food. My time and money both gone to vain. Highly unprofessional, never going there again

Our family love Everything on the menu, their curries are authentic and the Haleem especially is the best in Manchester. Staff are always patient and helpful even when they’re super busy. Defo one to try!

Got a late night curry and chaat delivered from here as my usual was closed. Amazing food, great flavours, the curry sauce wasn't too thin (always wary of trying new curry houses because of this), and the spice level was just right. The price was also really reasonable and I'd probably order from here again over my local.

Spend £40 on a takeaway and the order never arrived. Rang the restaurant and was told the delivery driver probably had ate the food. Not okay do not order off this place as if you food doesn’t arrive you will get no refund and get told it was ate by someone else.

The food is always great but also wanted to shout out the service. I ordered food on NYE and a wrong order of 1 item was sent. They sorted it out really quickly considering it’s a busy night and replaced. I’ve been ordering food from here for about 3 years now and have never found fault in the quality of food. Defo recommend and really appreciated them sorting it out quickly

2023 update: Saturday night, used to be packed out, now empty but still a 30min wait?! Also, looks like they have had a slight refurb. Staff also changed - for the worse - picking their nose in front of everyone then handling food. NASTY --- Fantastic food. I usually get the chicken tikka or the chicken kebab (no mango sauce - mango sauce has *no* place on a kebab!). Kebabs are always perfectly cooked, naans are delicious and that chilli sauce is a must-have. Parking can be a problem although there's usually parking available in some of the streets close by. Highly recommended.

Gone downhill, service gone downhill. Waiting time are unbelievable. Staff members moan at you if you help buy someone else's food. The staff moan they can't hear on the phone because he decides to take the call where you're telling what you want on your kebab. Go in the back and take the orders then. Been coming here for years like 15 years + but won't be coming back no more.

Was struggling to order on just eat, the mixed kebab could not find it in the kebab section. Phoned up mazaa around 7:15 the guy on the phone was very nice and polite he was very helpful and he guided me in finding the mix kebab in the mix kebab section, And I placed my order and I received the order in 30 mins and it was absolutely beautiful, nice, fresh and hot. Thank you to the Fantastic guy on the phone.

Absolutely disgusting service! Rang up to ask about a kebab we couldn’t find on the menu and he put the phone down. We rang back and he said he purposely put the phone down because they were busy. Refused to help. Absolutely shocking.

The food was amazing, full of flavour. We have donna nd chips. Lamb chops and sheesh kebab were juicy. Keema Kharai desi style was delicious, too 😋 Highly recommended!!

Today when we can in, I saw that the floor was really dirty and that the staff was rude. One of the staff said to us”move out of our way rudely to give an order to someone else.

Food from here is absolutely brilliant amazing prices and very quick delivery food comes well wrapped and steaming hot we live about 20 minutes away from the restaurant but always have hot food delivered

Got a Chicken Karahi on Saturday night and it was the worst karahi ever, too much raw chilli damaged my throat and I suffered for three days. The service time is more than average in area. Dine-in is not recommended due to cleanliness condition sometimes. Must update their order taking process.

Went to the staff toilet seen chicken in the sink getting marinated, avoid avoid avoid, looked disgusting 🫣 tasted good just wish i didn't see it. Wow not again!

Not ordering from here again. My burger was burnt, over cooked and the salad was soggy. The chips were also under cooked. Never again!

Outstanding food, and just as good as my last visit over 6 years ago 5 stars from me. Update....... It's finally reopened ! And it is just as good as it always has been, ignore the 1 star reviews they are clearly from other businesses in the area who are clearly not as good as Mazza !!

Go to their toilet and see the worms are full the outside area and going to their kitchens the food was openly outside no safety of food. Aww full condition which i see. Never go again.

Poor service and group all got food poisoning from the seekh kebabs

Visited 13/8/2023. Got 7 donner kebabs and 2 seekh kebabs for family. Both people who ate the seekh had vomiting and diarrhoea straight away. NEVER AGAIN will I go to Mazaa. Also the service is chaotic at best. There are far superior options for kebabs in Manchester.

Ordered a lamb donner kebab, decent size not massive but enough for one person at an affordable price, the only thing I would say is to tell them not to put too much sauce on as they drench it

It used to be nice service but to be honest not on expectation anymore.

40 mins wait for a collection order because the short fat guy didn't put the order on. No apology him the short fat one yawning. Kebab was rock hard. Standards have dropped.

Mazza is a busy Pakistani halal food outlet/takeaway/restaurant. We have been going there for many years now. Fairly reasonably priced, food is cooked well.

Honeslty one of the best curry houses in the north west. Fairly cheap aswell for what you get. Would highly reccomend.

This isn't a review. What's going on with Mazaa?. It was closed for ages recently, now it is apparently open and has a new sign (the old sign was much better). But it used to be open late at night, now it's closed at 1am (when I go) or probably even earlier. What happened to 4am closing? What happened to this place being mega popular and police always ordering?. Something strange is going on, are the owners or staff even the same?. If any of you find out then please let all the people know on Google review system. Edit 08 July 2023: I have been now and I still think there's abit of mystery as to why it temporarily closed and changed its sign. But the staff are the same guys (friendly and hard working guys aswell), the interior is better quality now, feels abit roomier. It seems to be open at it's late times again now, atleast it was when I went. The food is still epic, so I don't know what the 1 star reviews are about. And I think everyone feels comfortable at Mazaa, doesn't matter what background your from. Its still one of Manchester's best.

This place has changed it used to be amazing but it's now a shadow of its former self. They sold out and lost all it's old school charm. My old review 8 years ago: This is one of my favorite places in Manchester !!

Rude staff food taste wasn't good very poor quality not again

I’ve been going here for 2 years and I can’t comment on the variety of food because I only get one thing - keema and chips (a childhood favourite). But the quality of the food is great and good value for money. It’s very tasty and authentic. The service is good and mostly quick and they are open late. The staff are friendly. I actually left some feedback on this review previously and they responded to it very well and sought to improve the issue which is always a great quality in a business.

Bit of a gem this place. Really good food at reasonable price. The seating could be a bit better tho!

Best curries/kebabs in manchester and great staff

Terrible customer service lost a customer over a couple of quid due to arrogance and ego. Lied about the price on the phone when I clearly heard his college state the correct price. Rude staff member who said “come in and order then” although they we were ordering for collection for our own time convenience If you want to be served by rude staff this is the place to go 👍

Food honestly hit or miss. Has a seekh kebab which was amazing and a donner which was stone cold.

Always order from them donner,but today i placed an order at 20:35 and i got my order at 22:30 When call them and ask they were really rude with me and moking me as well

Great place to pop in for a freshly cooked lamb and tikka kebab on garlic naan with all the trimmings (for the hubby) and a veggie aloo tiki (for me!) We sit and have it there with a couple of cans of ice cold Coke - friendly staff catering to their busy clientele. Will be back!

Best place to go in Manchester for a midnight curry. Food tastes delicious.

Me and my partner have had this 3 times recently all 3 times have enjoyed it however was much better the two times we ate in. I think you’ve got to eat it there and then to enjoy it properly and get the fresh taste out of it. We had it as a takeaway 3rd time didn’t enjoy it. Would recommend for cheap easy fresh kebab, best on Stockport road as there is some rubbish on there!
