Extraordinary food esp kabuli pulao

I've been a loyal customer here for almost ten years, and I've always loved the Afghan qabili pilau. The flavors and authenticity of the food have kept me coming back time and again. Unfortunately, my experience has been overshadowed by the fact that they only accept cash. In today's world, it's inconvenient not to offer more payment options, especially when everything else about the place is so good. If they could adapt and provide card payment methods, it would make the dining experience even better.

Food taste horrible this time . I told the guy on the counter about the food and he just ignored me , his face was like i dont care if the taste is no good . Paid 25 pounds and felt like wasted the money . Been coming here over years but today felt like last day for us .

One of the best places i have ever been. We ordered a whole lot and it was worth it. The kofta kebab was really good and the grilled chicken was perfection. I didn’t try the rice but i heard it was pretty good. The seating was real good as it had a view to the street.

The qabli pilau rice was delicious and I would highly recommend - the meat was cooked well and tender. The kobeda and Nan were also fresh and tasty. An amazingly delicious Qabli Rice every time we eat here. We've been dining at Afghan Cuisine for over 12 years and the recipe has remained unchanged. It's always busy here! Service is pretty quick. I recommend coming here for authentic and hearty food. Yes the prices have increased lately but it's worth dining here every now and then!

kobeda dry and too salty waiting time is a bit too long but thats okay rice was okay but had 3 pieces of meat there, not sure where it come from naan looks good but dought needs longer fermenting to develop flavor as its bland?

The best qabilay pilau in Manchester and beyond. A range of tasty authentic grilled dishes. There is plenty of seating upstairs and a balcony. High chairs are available. Car park across the main road. Can get quite busy on occasions. Don't forget to take cash as they only accept cash. ATM across the road

First of all, this is a cash only place, so be prepared. They are 100% tax evaders. The taste of the food is okay. Kebabs were nice, but the rice was pretty average in taste and nit close to kabuli pulao as they claim. The cleanliness of the restaurant is also average. Wait time is huge. Not bad, but there are plenty of good places that you can try for the same line of food.

Never fails to impress myself and my family! The food was 10/10 quick, hot, and delicious and fresh. The salad was fresh! The rice was beautifully cooked, and chicken and meat were really nice too! Although I wish the water was colder as it was a super hot day. The atmosphere was very home like everyone was friendly. People were coming in and out it was busy. Service was also 10/10

Trust me, you need to try this! I may be biased as this is my boyfriends favourite eat, but if you’re looking for some good, no nonsense Middle Eastern cuisine - this is the place for you. The hummus is an absolute MUST

Absolutely brilliant we all ordered 7 different items from the menu and all the food was fresh, excellent flavour, good salad and sauce portions. The food can not be faulted. I highly recommend Afghan Cuisine. I was just dissapointed that the did not serve tap water, ( they know they should serve tap water freely, if asked. insha'Allah they will think about this and build even more barakat for their families. Comfortable and large seating, the food was as expected, especially the grilled fish and barbecue.

They reheat the Kabuli Pilau in microwave. I am not gonna go anymore there.plus the price is more as well .

It's a decent eatery. Reasonable prices which have increased in line with the trend on the street. Parking is a bit of a bother though. Kabuli pilau is definitely recommended. Cash only.

Food was average, nothing special. Have eaten in Afghan restaurants before and they taste much much better. The customer service needs some training as well.

Cash only venue so didn't stay took 20min to get a menu another 25mins to be told they don't take orders at the table and then told it's cash only only vegetarian offering was chips

The food was good, but it was a very busy place & all the waiters were rushing around. There was a slight mistake on my order, but it was sorted out quickly. Parking is always an issue around here.

Disgusting chicken Full of feather I paid £57 for disgusting food They did not even clean the chicken. I understand that it was so busy day before iftar in Ramadan but at least serve your customers properly.

Trust me I paid 20£ for two dishes and put both dishes to the garbage. We had chicken alfham on rice and chicken shawarma on rice. They warmed up the chicken with an old salad that you could easily smell it’s aged. There was loud tv and a number of men standing around us. The taste and service for this price is unbelievable. Frankly speaking, won’t recommend it for my enemy.

Ordered kabuli pilaf and al faham absolutely disgusting food. Kabuli pilaf taste like its not fresh and meat taste and smell bad. Chicken alfaham was dry burnt and overdone. I asked for humus and they charged 5 pounds for a tiny portion. Never gonna go again.

The Afghani palao at was truly exceptional. The rich flavors and aromatic spices transported me to the streets of Afghanistan. The perfectly cooked rice and tender meat added to the delight. The portion size was generous, leaving me completely satisfied. Truly a must-try dish!

I am their regular customer since 6yrs. Normally nice but this time they served me pink chicken (alfaham) i asked him to replace it for me but he recooked (burnt)the same one and brought it back. I again send it back but this time food never came back. I was dining in. But this was my last meal from this place.

Today, I visited an Afghan Cuisine and opted for the Qabli Pilau, accompanied by a flavourful chickpea and potato broth, along with salad and sauce, all for £12.99. The price was reasonable considering the quality and quantity of food. The flavors were clean, refreshing, and the meat was tender. Payment is cash-only, but transferring money directly to their business account is convenient. The service was also commendable. I opted for takeout, and the food remained hot until I got home. A suggestion would be to wrap the lentil curry in clingfilm to prevent spillage. Overall, it's a fantastic dining spot, and I plan on returning.

Food was very bad, lamb chops were severely undercooked on the inside but borderline burnt on the outside, its clear that the grill was too fast. Chips were ok but ketchup and yoghurt dip were watery and tasted wrong. Rice was decent. Service was good but overall bad food. Wouldnt reccommend or come again.

The Manto, Qabli Pilau, and Rotisserie Chicken on Rice are simply delicious. It's always busy here! Service is pretty quick despite the busyness, sometimes at Eid you have to wait up to 10 minutes for a table but otherwise, when we dined last night (Saturday evening, October 2023) there were plenty of tables available. The Chicken on Rice that we ordered came with a complimentary salad and two sauces (yogurt and mint raita, and a spicy sauce with tomatoes and chillies). The chicken was succulent yet the skin was crispy! I recommend coming here for authentic and hearty food. Yes the prices have increased lately but it's worth dining here every now and then!

The food is very delicious, if it was only for food this place deserves more then 5 stars. But unfortunately I can't say the same for the service, the waiter upstairs was not professional at all, I requested him to clean the high chairs for kids , and yet I have to clean them again, because he didnt do his job well. The plates were also not clean. There are paid parking spaces in the street across the road. Their kabli pulao is good, and highly recommended. Over all 3 stars for the whole experience.

Disgusting customer service and value. £5 just for 1 scoop of houmous requested after spending £50 upfront for food. Waiters disrespectful refused extra plates for a family of 8. AVOID IF YOU RESPECT YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. Rusholme chippy has more respect for families.

It is always busy but the seating is a little outdated and there are no fans or air conditioning of any kind which was a little mood killer last time we went as it was roasting and we were literally sweating just waiting for the food

I visited this place yesterday during my trip to Manchester, we had a mix grill platter and rice. and it was absolutely mouth-watering. Everything was great and delicious.. the atmosphere was a bit blunt .. but the food with no fault... they don't accept cards... make sure you gor cash on you .. but there is a cash machine couple minutes down the road... I can't wait for my next visit to try it again

Yoghurt sauce not great (watery yoghurt with a bit of dried mint = no taste at all). Food was ready fairly quickly. They have a decent amount of upstairs space with a few tables on balcony - I appreciated that. Cash only. Service was fine.

A cornerstone for the curry mile. Food is high quality and service is great too. Upstairs seating is the best, in the summer, there are tables in a balcony style sitting.
