Usually really good, but this one night, was late by 2 hours, and got order wrong and tried to blame on us, from which I’m with a dispute with their bank over! Disgusting behaviour by the female staff member on the world, extremely rude and nonsympathetic to NHS staff trying to eat after long shift!! Do not go if you have allergies!! Tried to say they had knocked and ringed phone when they definitely hadn’t, as proof from call log and cctv, hate liars, just admit you made mistake, I wouldn’t have minded as much, we’re human if we admit to mistakes!!

Ordered a chicken dupiaza did struggle to find me but food was absolutely amazing so was worth waiting for. Best curry I've had in a long time.

Came to this restaurant with someone who has lactose intolerance. Was assured by the waiter that a suitable meal could be made. About 5 minutes after the meal was finished it was apparent that the food intolerance changes had not been made. Would love to have complained on the day in person but they felt so unwell they begged me not to do they could get home as soon as possible! Will never return to this restaurant. The few times I had been before I was served with raw naan breads

Had my birthday meal here a few weeks ago with my son. Nicely decorated inside with the toilets upstairs. Food we ordered was hot and delicious. Descently priced too. Well worth a visit. Enjoyed my visit.

We have been 2 weeks in a row to these now. Amazing food. It's a 20 minutes drive for us but worth it. Best mint and chilli dips with popadoms. Heaven

Little disappointed there was part of our order missing but it was sorted quickly with Just Eat. The food that did come was good quality as always.

Ordered takeaway. Biryani sauce was awful. It contained bits of vegetables you would put in the compost bin and it tasted like one. Vegetable samosa contained meat - horrible shock for a vegetarian. Poppadoms were good but the accompanying sauces weren't.

Our food was lacking Chicken in both dishes. Nan bread was doughy. For a takeaway that has supposedly a very good reputation we have ordered twice from here in the past and will not be ordering from here again.

Absolutely lovely food. Best tandoori chicken I've ever had. Only put one star for atmosphere because I've always had food delivered. Ordered a few times now and food is always hot and very tasty. I know everyone has different tastes but for me it was lovely.

We’ve been going here for over 10 years,but after tonight’s visit we won’t be going again. Service is now very average and food quality is just average,really disappointing kids running round and the restaurant didn’t look very clean either,such a shame

Delivery time was changed from original time but was still 15 minutes after the informed time. However it was worth the wait as the food was hot, fresh and very tasty. Would definitely order again 🙂

Sheek kebabs were very dry, balti was bland and butter chicken was far too sweet and watery

Food came early which is fine, I found the food spicy but bland, the garlic rice was bitter because the garlic had been burnt, the lamb in the curry was hard which suggests its been cooked well in advance so not fresh. I wouldn't bother ordering from here there's better places out there!

Ordered for 7:30pm. Food came early but everything was lukewarm. Curries were watery and bland and the rice should’ve been chili and lemon but only really tasted like coconut

Having eaten in this restaurant the takeaway was very poor ! We had 3 currys all was full of water between all 3 we filled a coffee mug ☕️ Not impressed for a near enough £40 spend . Need to find a new Indian take away

We visited for the first time a few weeks ago and found it acceptable enough to visit again. The food was quite nice and the service and presentation very good. We visited again on Friday and we w totally disappointed. When asked if everything was ok when paying the bill we said yes but we didn’t want to cause a fuss. My starter, crispy, fried paneer was fried. In a dark red thick batter, crispy on the outside and mushy inside, the fish starter had barely any fish in it. The poppadoms were not fresh and the chutney tray not well presented (it was on our first visit) and the lamb main course was chewy. The Nan bread however was good.The waiter was indifferent to say the least and called us mate. When asked for more cutlery for our main course it was sort of dumped on the table, generally sloppy service. We will not go there again. There are at least 2 Indian restaurants we like within walking distance of our house and Balti Bazaar for us is not worth travelling to

Just had a takeaway received 1 smashed poppadom was supposed to be 2 not 1!! Food was cold Chicken was tough Not good at all waste of money

Having been to this restaurant several times , it’s always been good value with decent food for the money. However prices have shot up and the quality of the food is average at best. Sadly this will be my last visit

We booked a table for eight guests, we arrived on time but some of our guests were a little late arriving. Once everyone had arrived we then still had to wait between 20 to 30 minutes before anyone came to take our order. We placed the orders and then when the food came out it was brought out staggered so some of us had food sat there going cold whilst we waited for the other dishes to come out. The Balti’s came out with an orange colour (Balti’s are brown!) The “spicy chips” were bland and chewy and not spicy at all and my keema naan was under cooked, stodgy and there was hardly any meat inside. We were recommended this restaurant by a number of people but everyone who came for this meal with us were totally disappointed at the quality of the service and the standard of food and we doubt we would return

The food we received was not worth the money, it was cold and missing items. The food tasted dry on some things which made it hard and could not eat and others food items was sloppy and the whole lot ended up in the bin, there were also missing items. I rang the restaurant to complaint. Took my number said the manager would ring me back. No call received so I rang back, again said manager wasn’t there but would ring me, and if I wanted a refund to contact just eat. Food was disgusting, will neve

Order was 2.5 hrs late had to ring the restaurant 3 times to find out where the order was to be told it was ‘on the way’

The main dishes were really disappointing - we always order from balti bazaar but will be reluctant in future! The chicken was bland really really bland and portion sizes were small!! The naan was beautiful I can’t fault that!!

The chicken tikka is always dry and not succulent like it used to be years ago, it's tough texture and its happened afew times now... plus the nan breads are way too thick and doughy. Il give them the benefit of the doubt as it does taste nice but every time I've ordered I've been apprehensive.

It was very bland no taste not thick curry watery. Cheese nan was terrible no taste of the cheese. This is my first review otherwise all OK. At least we have wildlife in the back garden , foxes buzzers kestrels

Visited balti bizarre on 15th Aug with my partner. Food was the worse I have ever had. Both got food poisoning from this and confirmed today with results of stool samples sent off by my doctor.

It was my first time ordering from here and I have to say the food was absolutely wonderful. Fresh tasting with lots of flavours 👌🏽

Well, have used this takeaway a few times and had been decent, notably the chips set the place above the rest being cooked in ghee, soft and delicious, but this time a complete anti climax as they appeared to look and taste like they were reheated left over stock from a precooked chip shop, major let down on their usual standard but seems a trend in take out dining where establishments are cutting many corners to enhance profits in this harsh economic climate, not worth our ever devaluating currency, thanks but you've lost our custom now cause of your greed.

Food is good, no atmosphere, lacking in table linen, staff were perfunctory, could do with "cracking" their faces sometimes.

We haven't been here for a very long time and thought we would have a trip down memory lane. It's been a staple restaurant of Lye High Street's unlicensed balti scene and one of only a handful that is still in business. Sadly the area is no longer the magnet for curry lovers as it used to be. I didn't notice any changes to the dining room but my memory isn't great. The service was very good, friendly and attentive. The menu is pretty much your standard Bangladeshi offerings. The food was ok, although the sheekh kebab felt like it had been microwaved, and the chicken in a couple of the dishes was on the dry side, all else was good, generous portions and excellent sides, especially the chips. It was a pleasant night overall, the bill very reasonable with you being able to take your own alcohol.

I’m sorry to say but this order was really awful, we were really disappointed. Both curries we ordered weren’t as we would have expected, mine was supposed to taste of mango but I couldn’t taste mango, it was just bland curry slop with tonnes of onions and tomatoes in it. My husbands was supposed to be a spicy one but it was bland and again a couple pieces of meat with a tonne of onions. The rice was cold. The keema naan, was undercooked and doughy with a thick slab of meat in it like a burger. And the ‘fries’ as they were called were undercooked potato wedges shaped things. Tried somewhere new for a change, but no, will be sticking with our usual

I ordered the butter chicken and it was definitely off, the cream they used tasted like sour milk and was curdled on top so I had to throw it away. I was also refused a refund so I will not be ordering again.

Love the food here and you can bring your own drinks so the bill is reasonable. After dinner you can pop to a local pub to find out the evening. I recommend The Shovel.

We have visited this restaurant over a number of years and found that both the food and price’s excellent, this appears to have changed. Following a visit on Friday not only the atmosphere in the place was different (not so many customers) but a restricted menu compared to earlier visits. The food was bland and not up to earlier standards. One of our party complained the chefs special tandoori chicken did not taste of tandoori and left most of it. The food and prices have definitely changed for the worse and I doubt either myself or friends will want to visit this restaurant again in the near future. I would say that the staff were friendly and efficient.

I see some bad reviews. Some complain about delivery being late. Try and understand that it is a very popular restaurant and is very busy for the most with 1 delivery driver in the weekdays. Some complain about the spice in the food. British people can't stomach the Asian style so the spices are mild. When you order just ask for the food Asian style so you don't get the mild British version. Both food and service is amazing. My wife loves it here and she always goes for Asian style over the British version...

Cant think how many meals we have ordered from here now, but each time the food has been spot on, and the delivery time spot on.👍🏻

Poor takeaway which is strange as I like to eat in at this resturant. Tiny portion of chips, undercooked and under seasoned shikh kebab, bland poppodoms and soggy mess of a naan bread.

I am really quite annoyed and disappointed in the management at ghis restaurant. I found Glass in my Chicken last night, but when I called the restaurant I was told management was too busy to talk to me, and they would call me back when they had time... I've had no call or apology! Just Eat refunded the curry that was affected but we have mot touched any of the rest of the order due to safety, so why should I have to pay for it?!

Portions were small and its the first time I've ever had a watery tandoori mix grill. I expected alot better for the money. I won't be going there again.

Strangely tasteless curry. No pronounced spice flavours at all. Sheek kebab was the same. Plastic basket that the naan came in hadn’t been washed in goodness knows how long and was ingrained in dirt. Not impressed. At all.

Butter chicken was sickly sweet. I have never had sweet butter chicken, absolutely disgusting. Description should state very sweet but just says mild and creamy. If I had wanted a korma that's what would have ordered. Won't be ordering from here again, this was 3rd time ordering from here, a different mild dish and every time mild equals extremely sweet!!

Asked for rice not vegetable curry, very loud knocking at 1am food tasted like microwave food.

You know when you keep trying new places to find that one, the one you want to keep going back to? Well this is one of those places, not just those little things that make the difference but quite many big things too, you won’t be disappointed… I had Lemon & Coconut rice with saffron, lamb Parthia and the chips, freshly chopped potatoes and home style cooked…

Half size portions of veg curry sauce and general lack of flavour. VERY surprised and disappointed

Delayed the delivery time, which is always a bit of a red flag for me, but I cannot fault the food which was excellent and I will use them again
