It took so long to get our order taken and so long to get the food out. The food was nice but the wait times really disappointed

Heard good things about this place, doesn't live up to the hype. Food ok, but expensive, service sporadic at best, did go on a Sunday, so maybe this may have been part of the problem, better places locally

Food is not very true to thai food depends on the chef. Staff is carless sometimes. Not fit to their price tag.

I had a lovely dining experience here - can't fault it! The staff were excellent, attentive and friendly. The food was delicious; we had a sharer and I very much enjoyed my papaya salad. Lots of complex bright flavours. I loved the selection of mocktails (the mango chilli was delicious). And the decor and vibe are very nice too. Can't wait to go back and try more things!

Went to the restaurant and had a very pleasant experience , the food was absolutely delicious and it’s clear to all patrons how much not only the cooks care but also the staff care about the customer experience . The general manager Kelly was very friendly , welcoming and accommodating to the special needs within our party . Thank you for such a pleasant experience we will friendly be returning especially when the general manager Kelly is around as she insured all of our specials requests and needs were dealt with and she went extra lengths to make this trip special .

Portions are very small for everything. I paid 8.90 for a 175ml glas of wine, I don’t know what it is they brought me but that was not it. Then I got one portion of squid, that needed up being two tiny pieces along with some vegetables. I also got the satay chicken and jasmine rice take away, that turned out to be two skewers, 3 slices of pickled carrots and 3 of cucumber. The satay had no sauce basically and it didn’t taste like a normal satay dish. Squid wasn’t great either. So I just drank the little wine I was given, had the started and ordered the”main” take away. There is no internet connection and no wifi, they won’t give you a password.

Very good food and good quality and excellent service staff very helpful and friendly would go again, 10 out of 10 would recommend 👍

Great food. The starters were brilliant & the ferry boat curry was magnificent. I do object to the service charges when the prices are already fairly high.

This chain is an Islamic halal chain. It does not explicitly make it clear it is a halal slaughter restaurant that is deeply offensive to British people. It should be made overtly clear it does not purchase British standard produce. This is becoming disgustingly common where brainwashed people setting up restaurants in British areas think slitting an animal’s neck open and leave it in agony for hours as it bleeds out is acceptable in Britain. It is about time these establishments had lessons in civilisation.

Having just come back from a holiday in Thailand where the food in restaurants is freshly cooked to order, I was really looking forward to my first visit to this restaurant in the hope of having a meal that re created the amazing taste and flavours of the food I had the pleasure of experiencing in Thailand. Unfortunately this was not the case. The food in this restaurant is obviously pre-batched cooked and waiting to be ordered where it is then reheated, more than likely microwaved causing it to be devoid of any flavour, It did not taste fresh at all and this was on a Thursday lunchtime with very few people in the restaurant !

Place is good, food is not exceptional but does satisfy your craving for thai food. I liked the ambience of the restaurant.

We've been to the Chislehurst branch a number of times and have always been well looked after and had lovely food. Of the several times we've been, Mikey has always been really attentive and made sure we have everything we need. The food never disappoints either, glad to be only 5 minutes down the road!

Food flavour is hit and miss, sometimes good sometimes tasteless. Unfortunately today it was bland.

Here to meet friends, great atmosphere and rest great food and wine. I will be back soon with my husband. Thank you very much

The decor is lovely and the booking experience simple. However the service was rather bad, my friend and I got harassed to begin with. I was ignored by one waitress when I asked for an alternative on the starter as they’d run out. Another waitress was chewing gum the entire time. Service was slow, I was given a different drink to the one I ordered. We were given dessert menus and then ignored for 20 minutes and ended up not getting one. A discretionary service charge was added when I was with one other guest. I thought this was rather presumptuous. The food was lovely but very pricey, the service pretty shocking. I wouldn’t go again.

We called ahead to ensure no stairs as my mother in law was on crutches (they said no stairs) only to find steps to get into the restaurant!!! Great food but service was very slow. It was quiet and plenty of staff so it definitely let the experience down.

Have dined here on quite a number of occasions now, and it's a real favourite of ours. Great Thai food - their starters, curries and pad Thai are excellent. The service is brilliant and the staff are always happy to help!

Great location and easy to find with nearby parking. The dessert was lovely. Some main options were better than others but overall lovely and helpful staff.

Having eaten here many times, I decided to order food via Deliveroo The green curry was brown and tasted of masala, the red curry was no better. I phoned the restaurant and was told to ask for a refund from Deliveroo. Having spent 67 pounds on a foul taste, I think they need to rethink their strategy and supply either a tasty meal or stop delivering What a waste of an evening

Do not order take away from Giggling Squid. It’s fantastic food but they don’t give a monkeys if the driver doesn’t turn up. If it’s a £20 quid takeaway it’s fine but it’s a lot more than £20. Shame on us anyway. We had a fish finger sandwich and as long as Deliveroo refund us we are quids in. Don’t do it…..we won’t again as the manager at Giggling Squid didn’t care at all…..

The food was a great disappointment! I had the salmon penang. Fish was overcooked and vegetables looked withered. Sauce very dry. Decor great, but will think twice about coming back

When I booked the restaurant for my family, I was told that I would be seated in the Bird Cage, a nice table surrounded by a bird cage looking frame. But when we arrived, someone else was sitting there. We sat elsewhere and ordered some drinks. About 15 minutes later the drinks arrived. The restaurant wasn't very busy so I don't know why it took them so long. We asked for some prawn crackers, but we're told they had none left. When our food arrived however, it was delicious. Well done chef, shame you are being let down by the other staff.

We had a takeaway. Food was good but spoiled by fact that very little of it and costly. definitely wouldn't order if prices were same again.

I have always enjoyed the Giggling Squid & the food is generally excellent. On this occasion we ordered a takeaway via Deliveroo which came to over £100. What was delivered consisted of one portion of rice and one main dish. All our starters and 3 more main courses, plus additional rice were missing. The Deliveroo driver drove off saying it “wasn’t her problem” leaving us without a receipt or the rest of our food. Contacting Deliveroo with a problem is almost impossible - only a chat bot is available, although we did eventually get them to agree to re deliver our food. In the meantime, I had contacted the restaurant, who promised to get a manager to call me back, but no-one ever did. Our missing items were re-delivered, by which time the first main course & rice were cold. I would have at least expected them to re-deliver the whole order so that we could all eat together. Lesson learnt - eat in if you’re going to the Giggling Squid & never order from here via Deliveroo.

Went for lunch at your restaurant, I had the pepper squid, which was hot because you know it has to cook fresh. I had the chicken wings as well, which was lukewarm. I did inform the staff about it to tell the chef. On my main course, which was the beef, when it arrived, the gravy it had a skin on it, which gave you the impression that it had been sitting down before it came out. I informed the staff about my lukewarm main course, which was removed and said it would be cooked fresh. The food came back to me within two to three minutes I know that wasn't cooked fresh again because when I started eating the food the middle was so hot and that kind of heat can only be produced from being in a microwave ☹️😤 Birthday treat was DISAPPOINTED because of the chef lack of professionalism.

First time there it was lovely. Service food atmosphere all perfect. Would highly reckoned and return. The signature pad Thai was amazing salt and pepper squid as a starter was delicious.

The food is decent for a chain and I enjoyed my meal. For food, I would rate it 4. But I'm docking a star because the speed of service was very slow. Despite dining during a non-busy time and not being a large group, there was a huge wait between courses. I can only imagine they would struggle badly during busier time periods.

Had a lovely lunch today and were seated in the pergola which was really pretty. Our server Daniel was excellent and really attentive to our requests. All the food was tasty as were the drinks. I even got a free glass of prosecco as it was my birthday recently.

Me and my husband were celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary and I’m so happy we chose to come to Giggling Squid as the service was amazing! We were given complimentary drinks / dessert for our anniversary which was so sweet and the food was delicious! I would recommend and will revisit again soon! Thanks to Tom and the other staff for making our evening special and going above and beyond for us.

What a great restaurant. From the minute we walked in the door we were made to feel welcome. Waiter was really knowledgeable & very friendly. Will definitely be going back.

We have dined here a few times now and as a result of the great service and great food decided to have our wedding reception here. Big thanks to Emilia who helped with logistics and everything inbetween, she made the process so easy and smooth which was a huge relief. On the day, the food was perfect and so was the service, despite our large group of 60+ people the food came out hot, orders were accurate and everyone had a great time. A special thanks to Rebekah, Alice and Gertrud for their service (with a smile) on the day. Would definitely recommend this branch to anyone who is interested in a big or small dining experience. The food was great and delicious. Great variety of flavours . Rebekah was amazing as well very friendly and helpful . I forgot my retainers and card and she came running to give them back to me. Very lovely staff !!!

Nice welcome- escorted to our table. Friendly staff , service was excellent although it was lunch time so wasn't too busy, Food was tasty but bit expensive for a lunch. Overall restaurant is done out lovely very clean. Also have seating outside in cosy little summerhouses.

Really lovely place. Food is excellent, great service. It was very busy when we went - on a Thursday 7.30pm, so it got quite noisy. This didnt interfere with our evening however. There are also booths outside you can sit in which would have been quieter..overall I would highly recommend, the food is amazing.

Visited with Family for lunch. Was really amazing had good choice of meals and also was recommended by the staff too. Great service done by ALICE and BLOOM who assisted us throughout our meal course. Very polite and kind staff good ambience and outdoor seating space too. Had the sticky rice, thai curry, platter, mocktails, cocktails all were very good..

Went for dinner with the in-laws, had never been before. The decor of the restaurant was really nice, we were welcomed and asked about allergies on arrival. We all had a starter and a main course which was plenty of food. The food was nicely presented, tasty and there was plenty of options. The restaurant was very careful with the fact I have a nut allergy, made it very clear with stickers what was but free. The service was good. I’d go back

We had a fun dinner at Giggling Squid in Chislehurst. All our food was very tasty .. salt & pepper squid, duck spring rolls, sea bass and lamb shank. The restaurant is popular and gets very busy which unfortunately does mean it also can become too loud. We will return.

Take away from Giggling Squid. 134 g of egg fried rice for £4.25! Other was 187g. Complete nonsense . £8.50 for the photos attached

Atmosphere at all the giggling squids is superb. Very light open and great ambience. Unfortunately the service is not the same in all restaurants apparently. Drinks were left empty with no offer of another, when another was requested after 15 minutes of waiting had to go to the bar to get a coke for a child. Food was brilliant except for Pad Kee Mao which was flavourless and had the noodles chopped to pieces. The green curry also had a grainy texture and it never has at other locations. On a table of three service was already on the bill so had to pay for service that we didn’t really receive. Disappointed however the appetisers and atmosphere were still great

Food taste and quality is not as good as other branches. Service was really slow. Didn’t really enjoy the experience.

We have visited the branch at chislehurst many times before. We chose it for our daughters birthday. Grandchildrens love the food. However having ordered food about 12.40 only one starter arrived eventually. The children were hungry and getting upset. We asked when food would come. The staff were sullen and cdnt look us in the eye. No smiles nor any appearance of being interested in job. Eventually someone came over who we took to be manager but she didn’t introduce herself. She made some excuse but it was so mumbled we couldn’t hear! No one wanted to help and it was now an hour plus since we had ordered. It was horrendous and.a birthday lunch from hell. There were about as many staff as customers but the staff just strolled around as though at garden party. Eventually food arrived but manger said we didn’t need to pay. I suspect they’d lost order as waiter wasn’t v attentive. Others had starters and mains before we got anything! Too many excuses and non action. We have been regular customers since it opened but never again!!!

The food was lovely and tasty. Service was a little slow at times (longer wait for drinks) and was disappointed they were out of some items, so we couldn't try one of the sharing platters, which they forgot to mention until we ordered. Although it states family-friendly, I was disappointed they would not warm my 19-month-old childs pasta in their microwave for 30 seconds even though it was covered and in its own bowl. Wasn't given any real reason as to why and was offered to warm in hot water but that wouldn't have worked for this meal so we were left with him being unable to have his dinner. Had to let him have snacks and small parts of our meal instead. Small dessert selection, but the lychee yoghurt ice cream was very tasty. Nice place, and I would go back again to try a few other dishes.

Really lovely meal. Service was fantastic - big shout out to Chisom who looked after us really well. Very friendly. Food was great - even the kids tucked in. Looking forward to coming back.

We came here as a group of 3. Service was good, prompt and attentive. However they struggled with clearing and attention to detail. We had to clarify a single drink order multiple times (size, type etc). - When they brought it the first time it was wrong. Many dishes were not avaliable so go with a mind open to changes. Dishes were quick and hot. Flavour was nothing to write home about and for a street food style it was slightly on the expensive side. Alcohol drinks are expensive for quality. I would suggest having mainly starters and a sharing main or go for a single dish lunch.
