Amazing food, amazing prices. Will definitely be returning 👍🏻

This was our second visit to Gurkha Square, the food was fresh and delicious. They cater for Vegans which is fantastic as my wife is one. They also tailored the food to the heat I prefer . The restaurant is very clean and well presented, a real hidden little gem in Chiselhurst. I recommend it whole heartedly!

Visited this restaurant for the first time and really enjoyed it. Mains are around £9-£10 per person, with each side-dish around £5. The peshwari naan and ghurka chicken are particularly recommended. All the food was very tasty though. Service exceptionally good too. Can be a little difficult to park due to the high-street location but there are very nearby side roads which are unrestricted from 6.30pm. The restaurant wasn't very busy so perhaps some quiet background music would help the atmosphere a little more? Finally just be aware that the service charge is already added (10%) onto the receipt, which is a little too American for my liking - but all very small points! Definitely worth visiting.

This was our first impromptu visit to Gurkha Square. The food was prepared with love and freshness, felt like eating at home. We tried a few dishes but our favourite was the sherpa lamb and the soft garlic naan. Hospitality was top notch and a special mention to the Manager, Gyanu. We will visit again!!!

My wife and I visited here one Thursday evening to take advantage of the meerkat offer and to try out Nepalese cuisine as opposed to the usual Indian affair. It was a quiet night in the restaurant with not many in but that was ok with us, overall we had a great meal including popadoms / starters/ mains / side and bread trying some of the mains traditional to Nepal. Flavours were very rich and complex which were outstanding and refreshingly different & what we couldn’t finish the very nice lady serving us boxed up for us to take home. Fabulous food with friendly service in a nice clean environment and some money saved too, what’s not to like.

Been here many times and let me tell you, its never failed to deliver, it is a great place for takeaways and to eat in. The owner is a lovely guy and is always happy to help. Food is great and there's loads of options. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and has a really nice atmosphere. Seats are comfy and it's one of my favourite restaurants in the area. I'd definitely recommend it for curry lovers.

We had a fantastic meal at Gurkha Square last night. The food and service were excellent. We ordered from the banquet menu which is amazing value!

Lovely food never had a bad meal always pleasant friendly atmosphere always eat in there 3or 4 times a week if you like a Indian try it you won't be disappointed.

What a delight this restaurant is..We were greeted in the most friendliest manner and shown to our table. The food was exceptional. The flavours were strong and very tasty, apart from the rice which I did think was bland, but it was only the rice. We tried Tandoori Scallops for the first time, delicious. The King Prawn dishes were King Prawn, and plenty of them. We are just sorry we do not live nearby as this would definitely be our local. Thank You, enjoyed every mouthful.

Even though the takeaway was half an hour late, the food was great. They missed a peshwari from our order and delivered it within 10 minutes! Maybe on your delivery sites put 1.5 hr wait on busy nights so people don't call up asking where their curry is!

We have been regulars for a few years now. The food is amazing, so tasty. Yesterday we ordered a takeaway was delious. Reasonable prices too. Keep it going. The best in chislehurst.

It was amazing, lovely food, manager/ owner Mr G is a beautiful man could not do enough for us, If in Bromley/ Chislehurst you must give this restaurant a try, Wednesday is banquet night, will be back to try that, Thank you Mr G for a lovely meal

Found this restaurant by chance, amazing food, brilliant sevice, will definitely be going back the first chance we get. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We have used Ghurka Square for around 4 years as our go to takeaway and always had brilliant food and service. Not sure what has happened tonight, maybe they have been taken over but everything was a disappointment. I called up and placed my order at 8.30, the lady said it would be 50mins. No problem, so we wait 50min, 60mins, 70mins, 80mins, I call up and ask politely if the order is on its way, the very pleasant lady said I will find out. Then a male comes to the phone, said it will be soon on its way and slams the phone down. Sorry that’s just rude. The order arrived 1 hour 45mins later. The delivery driver then asked for an extra £1.50 delivery (which they don’t usually do) the takeaway was not the usual high standard of Ghurka Square, clearly had been rushed, bland, watery and not very tasty. We will not be visiting again.

Excellent quality cuisine, fresh vegetables, tender meat with spices adjusted to your individual taste. Very friendly attentive service all at a very affordable price - a real find - thank you.

Discovered this restaurant during Lockdown 3. Excellent food delivered in double quick time . Our new favourite Indian.

Cheeky last meal out before Tier 3 last night. Busy, but we were lucky and we were given a nice table for 2. The food was (as ever) top notch and the service was just attentive enough. I have never worked out why this place is not busier in normal times, but I think more people have discovered it during COVID. The palpali duck starter is the best and I haven’t found a main meal that I didn’t enjoy. Haryali chicken last night, a nice blend of sweet and spicy. Good value, with 2 bottles of wine between us and an £85 bill including service. A good night.

First visit here and in no way disappointed. The food was just right in spice but the flavours came through really well. For the first time in all the restaurants I have been to I could actually taste the lamb as lamb. It also just fell apart and was easy to eat - no endless chewing! Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. A good sized portion of food and a very fair price (even if we were not using our Meerkat membership). Don't eat out very often but we will definitely go again sometime.Recommend this place highly but choose your time well. We went early on a Thurs day and we were the only diners that day and time.

During lockdown we tried a few takeaways which were mediocre at best - until we discovered Gurkha Square. We were so impressed with our first order that we ordered from them each Saturday for the rest of lockdown. Every delivery we had was on time and the food was consistently excellent. On Saturday we decided to pay the restaurant a visit and what a lovely evening we had. A warm welcome from the staff, a great house red and top notch food. The chicken chat puri is one of the best starters I have ever had in an Indian restaurant. Lockdown did us a favour - I am delighted we found this great restaurant.

Consistently good food. Just had a Sherpa Chicken and a Lamb Masu Bhutuwa which we requested was madras strength. The lamb was tender, succulent and flavoursome. The chicken is a dish we order regularly and is always a hit, it has a unique blend of flavours. The Complementary chutneys and popadoms were a welcome surprise. It is clear they do not use artificial colouring or excessive oil and that the food is prepared with fresh ingredients and pride. I’d truly recommend this place if anyone hasn’t tried it before. A highly underrated local gem.

We ordered from here for the second time in recent weeks. It was late again, and quite honestly we found the taste of the food underwhelming. In particular the korma. Most of the curries were watery and we were very disappointed. We tried two meals from here as we have always ordered from the Bengal lancer or the Royal, and wanted to try something new. But we were very disappointed.

Ordered a takeaway as we were visiting family who live just around the corner, I had the Chicken Tikka which was spot on, succulent and tasty. It's only the second time they have ever eaten there, I have to say if I lived round the corner from there I'd be dining there most nights!

Absolutely loved the food we had here. We ate in the restaurant, service was excellent, the waiter helped recommend dishes and the food was exceptional. No grease, beautifully cooked and huge depth of flavour and spicing. We will certainly be back!!

Been to this restaurant with my partner 3 times now and believe me when I say this is unreal food it’s fresh and it’s so tasty try the sherpa chicken it will blow your mind and the waiters in there make it as well very nice and and also quite chatty which is nice keep up the good service boys

Five of us went for dinner and the food was great! Staff very accommodating and we really enjoyed everything we ordered - and we had a lot of food! Really tasty and I would highly recommend. It’s a shame it wasn’t busier as it should be full with such great food on offer. The best curry house in Chislehurst for sure!

My partner and I adore Indian and Gurkha food, we found this by chance as we had just had a spa day near by. To say it was delicious would underrate it, the food was definitely the best Indian/Gurkha we have ever had and we have had many! The starters were mouthwatering - salmon tikka and my partner had tikka scallops. The main did not dissapoint with authentic curries and delicious sides. Couldn’t recommend it enough; all food was cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back.

Although only a take away order I feel the need to review.When I arrived to collect the order I was met with courtesy and a pleasant welcome.The food was ready at the appointed time. We had a wide mixture of food which was full of different flavours, each a joy to savour. Very good value for money.

Decided to try somewhere new when using our Uber Eats discount code and after looking through the menu online, we went for Gurkha Square. We ordered: 1 starter, 2 mains, 1 side, 2 naan breads and a bottle of lemonade (£34 inc delivery, so not cheap!) Firstly, the portions are very small, so you won’t be having leftovers for tomorrow’s lunch if you order from here. Starter: Rasilo Calamari, described as baby squid marinated and pan fried with onion and peppers, was, I’m sorry to say, one of the most disappointing dishes we have ever eaten. It was 8 thin squid rings, mixed with a few bits of pepper and basically raw diced onion, in 1/2 an inch of gravy. It was also barely lukewarm. Mains: The Mismas Karahi Special was quite nice, although the chicken was a bit dry and the sauce rather bland and watery. Nice, but not special. The Chicken Dansak was the real high point of the meal! The chicken was beautifully cooked and the sauce was thick and flavoursome. It’s fairly mild for a Dansak, but was really very tasty! Side: The Saag Paneer was okay, really small portion though, only 6 cubes of Paneer in the whole tub, which was 1/2” full and sadly also only lukewarm. The Naan Breads (Peshwari and Keema) were nice. The bottle of lemonade is advertised as 2L, but is only 1.5L, which is a bit misleading/annoying. The onion salad and chutney that were sent along with some poppadoms, free with our meal, were good too (not sure what the luminous green sauce is though). I had high hopes for the meal as it was described, but I’m sorry to say, it was underwhelming at best. Neither my OH, or I would recommend ordering a takeaway from here and wouldn’t use them again.

Ordered a take away as our usual Indian had received a 1 on Hygiene!!!! Sadly won't be repeating it as although everything was cooked ok three dishes looked and tasted exactly the same and sadly had zero coriander Shame!

I live locally and love Indian food but for some mysterious reason have never been in this restaurant. Finally made it tonight. Beautiful food. Delightful service. Will be back with all my Indian food loving friends for sure. A hidden gem and well worth a visit.

We have been using Gurkha Restaurant for years. We have always found staff to be very courteous and helpful, they have never hesitated to go out of their way to help especially Gayan The Manager.

Food is excellent and the service is too. Food is full of flavour and each dish is prepared superbly. The restaurant is lovely to eat in and take always & deliveries are just as good.

Used to frequent the place until we couldn't finish the food and asked to take the remainder away and they placed the meat and fish dish in the same container and didn't recognise the problem!

Fuimos un grupo grande de más de 12 años (no recuerdo el número exacto), así que es una gran opción si todo el mundo era esencial era estén satisfechos. Y de hecho nos! Había un gran número de opciones. A pesar del tamaño del grupo, la comida y bebidas eran entregados en buen tiempo y con un servicio cortés. No haber ido a un restaurante indio por algún tiempo esta fue una vuelta muy agradable. Es sin duda en mi lista para volver.

The best local Indian restaurant. For once their chef if able to create dishes that are all distinctly different. Too many Indians just take a basic curry sauce and a touch of another spice and call it a "speciality" Gurkha Square craft each dish to taste unique. This goes from a Korma to the many Nepalese dishes on offer.

Food is exceptional and surprisingly good as the restaurant doesnt look the same superior level. Get a lot of takeaways and consistently high level

Me dijeron cuando les pedí mi llevar por telefono que recogerla en 30 a 40 minutos. Fui llegamos allí por 40 minutos y tuvimos que esperar 50 minutos, una hora y media en total. El dueño me dijo que estaba ocupado, a pesar de que el restaurante estaba completo y un tercer nadie venía de una toma de distancia. Yo soy un habitual de este restaurante, pero como me trataron mal y de forma grosera, sin duda no volver o tienen una llevar de nuevo.

Siguiendo la recomendación de un amigo que fuimos anoche. La primera vez para mí y tan refrescante que se presentará con un menú que no es la norma para los restaurantes locales. Bien mezclada, platos picantes. Todo estaba delicioso y el precio era razonable, incluyendo el vino. Muy acogedor, el personal es amable. Volveremos!

I order from Gurkha Square on a regular basis and I'm always happy with the quality of the food - the portions are generous and always arrives on time. I was particularly impressed with the time when I asked for a naga Chicken which I was told was prepared specially as I'd asked for it a few times and as such one of the staff had bought in the naga chillies from home - great service and I can only hope they'll be adding it to the menu soon.

Food took two and a half hours to come and they forgot to add the biryani rice. Had to then spend ages on the phone getting it sorted while the rest of the food got cold. Eventually got the rest of the order at 10pm after placing it at 6.55pm. Utterly ridiculous.
