Best garlic chilli lamb I’ve ever head

We came with a large group of 15 including 3 children, the atmosphere was absolutely amazing. It was very calm and welcoming and extremely clean, the table was set up beautifully and there was plenty of space for everyone. The staff were very kind and attentive and looked after us all well and were also great with the children. The food didn’t take too long and tasted absolutely delicious, all very fresh. Everyone’s orders came correct and there was no issues considering the large group. Thank you so much Mountain View you was great and mum definitely enjoyed her birthday meal. Would 100% recommend :)

This is the best restaurant I have eaten in. I am a fussy eater and seldom go back to the same place twice but this is my go to place for a great curry. The food is always exceptional, the restaurant is spotlessly clean including tableware and the owners/staff are amazing, such lovely people, very welcoming and obliging. I cannot find a single fault with this restaurant or the food. I would highly recommend

We dined at Mountview on 09/08 for our second visit. Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience. Shortly after eating, We (my wife and I) became severely ill with symptoms of food poisoning. This ruined our evening and caused significant discomfort. We hope the restaurant takes food safety seriously and investigates this matter.

Food was great. Portions are big. The food presentation is nice. I recommend this place for everyone who wants to have a nice dinner.

I have always tried different places for my love of Indian food. But...... this place blew my socks off and not just the once but every time I've visited. Cannot fault. Don't normally leave a review of any nature but I've been staying in Chislehurst for 8 weeks and this is my 9th visit today so felt i needed to share my experience. As my mum used to say "You have been well and truly spoilt son".

Excellent ,tasty food,good service .Always get our take aways from here too and never disappoints .The portion sizes seemed to have got slightly bigger when you eat in which is a good thing.

Ordered today via Deliveroo as have been to this place previously to eat in. Received the wrong item and that was spotted by my daughter just as we were about to serve the food. Checked Deliveroo and was advised to call the restaurant. Lady at the restaurant recognized the order and immediately became defensive, blaming it all on Deliveroo. Wasn't ready to listen to the issue. Instead kept saying it wasn't her problem and was extremely rude. When asked to hand over the phone to the manager, got told that manager has taken the day off. Should have just accepted the mistake, apologized and moved on. Instead chose to just keep arguing unnecessarily, which essentially spoiled the Friday evening for the family. Needless to say, never going to order from, or eat in at this place. Unless you like receiving a different dish to what you have ordered and then get insulted by the employee who made the mistake in the first place, avoid this place!

Walked to a nice welcome had a good menu for food and wine etc… The food itself was decent enough although iv had better curry’s felt was lacking in flavours I had a mix grill and it didn’t come on a sizzling iron plate and my partner had a special curry of the specials menu it was in a bowl full up with chicken and tasteless sauce (as you can see in the background of the picture)nowhere to put the rice it looked was like a chicken soup🤷🏻‍♂️ The restaurant itself is very nice modern chilled and atmospheric I’d give this place 6/10 would I rush back for the food of my first experience definitely a no from me **UPDATE** So we went back and the food amazing a lot better then the first time the mix grill came up in a sizzling iron plate the food was very very nice and the restaurant itself Has a very nice ambiance lovely table clothes relaxing very clean 100% recommend it.

My husband and I had a takeaway yesterday from Mountain View, food arrived on time, lovely and hot, and it was absolutely PERFECT, I know you probably think "that means the food was ok" no, the food was PERFECT!! Chicken Bhuna, Chicken Lababdar, rice, potato & cauliflower bhaji, bombay aloo, Everything was amazing, you can actually taste individual items. Plus the gentleman who delivered our food was easy on the eye!! Win win!!

Update: they have improved so increasing score. Used these for years but some of their curries have gotten a lot worse in the last few months , they use to be this lovely rich sauces but they’re now like something homepride sold about 30 years ago in the supermarket. Please fix your recipes or your chef.

Second time dining here. First time I was told it wasn't hair. Again found hair in Naan bread. Took a picture, definitely hair. They didn't even offer to replace or give me a new naan bread. I won't be going here again.

We had a lovely time at Mountain View. Delicious food and attentive service. What else can you ask for? Looking forward to our next visit☺

I have to say I never write restaurant reviews but cannot let this go. My husband, daughter and I went there this evening and waited 90 minutes for our main course. When it finally arrived, my daughter said hers was quite good, my husband’s meal was ok (but he didn’t get exactly what he ordered) while mine was just tasteless. The waitress was really nice but the manager who came to see us offered no explanation. Yes, it’s fair he did not charge us for one round of drinks (we had to order more as we were waiting so long for our food) or service but I can honestly say it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had and I eat out regularly in Chislehurst and beyond. There was a table behind us of about 8-10 guys who had waited even longer than us. They took it all in good spirit but I think the restaurant has lost a lot of customers this evening. Shaon and Ginger & Spices - we will back as you never disappoint.

Great meal here last night. Looking forward to returning again. The Dansak could have had a little more oomph but otherwise really good. Fresh, presented beautifully and some dishes different to the norm to choose from.

Just had a fabulous meal here with friends. Only £14.95 eat as much as you like fresh Sunday buffet. Everything was delicious and lovely lean tender chunks of lamb and chicken. Service was good too and the decor relaxing and fresh. One of the best Thank you and Christmas Eve too.

Let down by the chicken. What are you doing to it? It's texture is rubber like and not nice at all. I almost don't think it is even chicken but can't think what it might be instead. This is not the first time I've noticed but the first time I've highlighted it. I just had to...do better as everything else is pretty good.

So I really enjoyed the food good portions good service great flavours! I would've gibe this place 5 star's but the chicken madras was tasty but had no spice what so ever. I had to add chilli powder and hot pepper sauce and white pepper. Lovely food just wanted spice.

Faultless takeaway for 4. Great service ordering over the phone, really friendly and bubbly delivery lady (on a freezing cold night), generous portion sizes, top quality food, each dish distinctive and flavoursome. Very happy indeed.

Excellent value home-cooked curry with plenty of options for both non-vegetarians and vegetarians. The best freshly cooked Bhindi Bhaji we have ever had in an Indian restaurant. Be aware the portions are larger than average so one needs to take away the leftovers.

First time we have been here since the refurb. Restaurant was lovely and warm when we entered which suited me. Had a cosy booth seat by the window. New decor nice but they do need to clean up the window ledge. Food was great and service very attentive. We were offered a complimentary drink after settling our bill but we were short on time. I suggested they deducted one of our drinks instead but not possible? There should be an alternative to extra alcohol eg discount voucher for use on future takeaway? Anyway - good experience overall.

Held an event here with 30 people. Had exclusive use of the mezzanine level. The food was tasty with very generous portions, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere following the refurb was great. We had a great evening and excellent value for money.

Excellent meal in pleasant surroundings

Wonderful! The refurbishment looks amazing; spacious, stylish, subtle and very classy. Very impressive menu, just the right amount of choice with one or two non-Indian classic dishes to cater for all tastes. And of course the Chicken Ashwairya (I’m sure I’ve spelt that wrong!) was delicious ❤️ Very highly recommended.

This is our best local curry house. The curries are delicious, full of flavour and the portion sizes are great compared to other local places. Lots of meat in their curries. All the side dishes I've ordered have been good, only slight downside is their naans are not the best but still tasty.

The food here is amazing, we had such a great meal on Sunday, the portions were great and so was the service and presentation of the food. We had enough to take home and eat today too. Highly recommend the garlic and chilli curry and the sag. After a while the music did start to repeat, but that was my only observation of where I was slightly unhappy. Highly recommended, we will be back.

We went out on a date night here this week. Although we have been here before they have just had a refurb. We have always enjoyed the food and this visit was no exception. The refurb has given the restaurant a great new look. It has opened up the whole place and the decor really gives it a more upmarket feel. The food was excellent and the portions were very generous. Staff and manager were very friendly and attentive, as always. Highly recommend!

We’re originally from the UK visiting approx once a year from Australia. Last year we had a terrible Indian take away experience from a restaurant at 5 ways, new eltham. This time we ordered from Mountain View in Chislehurst ordering delivery via their website. The food arrived promptly and we enjoyed all of the dishes. All very tasty and good value in our opinion. Would certainly recommend.

Very Friendly service and nice relaxing atmosphere with delicious food, dessert and drinks. Our table was regularly checked to see if everything was okay and everyone was very attentive even though the place got busy very quickly with many regular guests. We also met the owner and his wonderful wife who made sure they visited every table and greeted the guest to see if everything was ok… it’s wonderful to see how much they care and appreciate their guests. Definitely worth a Revisit and try the Gurkha 660ml Beer.

Our favourite restaurant! Recently renovated inside, and they now have a rooftop terrace which is very nice. Light and airy throughout. The presentation of the food, the taste, the portion size - all spot on. They have done a superb job in transforming the dine-in service.

Me and my partner have been here multiple times for their Sunday buffet, which typically has 20 dishes or so to choose from. All the food is great! And the staff are always, *always*, attentive and will accommodate dietary restrictions wherever possible *if* you order outside the buffet menu

First time ordering delivery here and came very quickly and was tasty.

We have food from here a lot, the quality of food is great and they are very good with allergens. I am gluten free and cannot have citrus and they are very knowledgeable with the menu - even for takeaway, which usually isn't the case with restaurants. My whole family now eats from here!

This has always been our favourite take away restaurant, but on this occasion we decided to eat in and we're very glad we did. If anything the food was even better: fresh, good portion sizes, varied. Service was excellent.

Came to try the Sunday Buffet and it did not disappoint. A really good selection of options with a good mix of vegetarian dishes on top of some classic like Chicken Tikka, pakoras etc. Food was all fresh and fresh Nan Breads bought to table. The Service was excellent See you again !

I don't usually give reviews but the meal we had from Mountain View last night was excellent. Since going veggie we struggle to find restaurants that provide a tasty veggie options. This place totally smashed it out of the park for me and my partner. We're actually on round 2 as we had a load of left overs. I hope you guys keep it up.

Waited well over an hour for our food. Not impressed.

We stopped for a quick bite to eat on a sunny Tuesday evening. The lamb samosas were lovely, the prawn purée was delicious. To follow we had lamb sag and chicken tikka masala with Keenan naan and rice. The curries were lovely and the naan was perfect. The service was nice and welcoming, and the restaurant had a good number of diners for a Tuesday evening.

Mountain View has become our go to for a regular takeaway when we want to treat ourselves. The portions are big and everything is super tasty.

Sunday buffet was just Disgusting food, dry and hairs on spoons near the dishes just vile. Rude staff who are drips don’t even know what they are doing, when I told the staff members about the hair he wasn’t bothered and said it’s not from the kitchen. That just Put me of my food, and then had the cheek to think I was paying for the bill when this food had all hairs in. And wasn’t bothered to solve the issue, Didn’t seem bothered when I showed him the long black hair that was on the spoon wrapped around all food on it and just left the hair there for other people to see and eat off. How disgusting, didn’t even try or want to solve this, also making out he’s the manager when he wasn’t when I said who do I complain to, just absolutely disgusting. Won’t be coming back here again. Food was vile so dry, unprofessional divs that work here! Awful dry food, waste of money I’d rather stayed home and had toast for dinner!!

I have not enjoyed my delivered meal at all , the korma sauce thin and runny , the tarka Dall just the same , the pancake for the prawn puree was hard and dry and the prawn puree tasted only of onion . A complete waste of money and and food that's gone into the bin . So after contacting the restaurant today to let them know of my disappointing meal last night I have taken delivery of a replacement meal (exact same order) and Mountain view have totally redeemed themselves, the food is hot and very tasteful and I'm happy with the way they have handled my complaint . Thankyou Mountain view see you again sometime and no hard feelings. 🙂

Food as always is great, coconut rice being a favourite of mine. Also do an excellent Margarita!

Just dine in last night. The food was very good but over priced. One adult should cost £35-£40 for full appetite. Asian food with that price is rare.

Enjoyable meal. Efficient service. Not a hugely long wait for food. Would recommend the mixed starter.

Only gets 1 star as it won't allow we to put zero. Took 90 mins to come, was stone cold when it arrived. Chicken was bland. Sauce was awful. Onion bhaji was burnt and saag aloo was mushy. Will never ever eat from this place again.

The person taking the order was kind and attentive, the food arrived on time and was delicious. In particular the restaurant did a great job of dealing with specific allergy requirements. All food came with clear labels on which made it really helpful. Can't wait to try again.

Worst Indian takeaway I’ve had in years absolutely rank will never get one from there again

After previous good meals from here, we just had a terrible direct delivery from the restaurant. It was freezing cold when it arrived The food tasted old, perhaps already reheated and was definitely not cooked from fresh. So many cloves in it which was overpowering. Highly disappointing and won’t be getting from here again.

Onion bhaji burnt and dry. Peshawar naan totally dry and tasteless. Gone down hill rapidly. Again today waited hour n 15 min. 29.00 spent . Couldn't eat. Burnt and cold. . Rang ..lots of apologies But no refund

We love the Mountain view and its food. The actual restaurant is dated and needs to be modernised particularly the toilets but the actual menu is great. However, we do feel the soft drinks are overpriced at £3.30 for half pint of Diet Coke - it all adds up with the Childrens drinks particularly when it’s not draught but from a 2litre bottle behind the bar.

Waited an eternity last night and the food was cold when it arrived. The restaurant clearly accepts too many deliveries BUT Mountain View re did the order and one of the managers delivered it himself. Very frustrating but I owe the staff an apology. You can't knock them for brilliant customer service in the end. Well done Mountain View.

Just ordered and parts of the chicken were raw, very oily, garlic mushrooms were so powerful it was sickly, onion bhaji were soggy and flat. I'll stick to my local marion crescent one, never again from here, avoid, God knows where the positive reviews on here came from.
